I always thought the idea of Terrestrials per Primordial realms would be a cool idea -- considering how elemental (heheh, see what I did there. Heh. I'm clever.) DBs' powers are, adapting them to the aesthetics and themes of the Underworld, Autochthonia, Malfeas, &c shouldn't be too difficult...
Aw. I rather liked the eyes in the old style. It was rather a signature thing for the comic.
Though, I guess it wouldn't easily fit with the updated style...
Maybe trans-tier styles could supplant Enlightenment Charms? This makes more sense to me in my mind -- a sifu judges that one of his pupils is suit to receive higher secrets of Creation and initiates her into an esoteric style that she has never seen before. As she climbs up the ladders and...
I'm thinking the end of Kung Fu Hustle. Sing has defeated the Beast fair and square with his ultimate kung fu secret and accepted his surrender. But the Beast takes this as an opening and attempts to stab Sing with a poisoned spike... only to be shown that Sing's Buddha's Palm Descending from...
I think the preferred stance is that Abyssals are neither dead nor alive. They do being-alive things like dying when killed (inb4 Shirou) and wanting to eat. Though, of course, Essence circumvents most of that but besides. On the other hand they also do being-dead things like having the fate of...
Snake Style being a Dummy's Guide to Martial Arts comes off as a good enough explanation for me. Maybe the UCS had the brilliant idea of telling his Exalts "Hey, here's this thing called supernatural martial arts that kicks ass without tapping my Essence -- might be handy one day" and used Snake...
For additional high-power Solar flavors, Ink Monkeys might provide some materials. Apparently the popular opinion on the additions seem a bit divided, but I liked them so far.
At the end of that story, the Shining Answer was shown as something that the Primordials aspired to, calling it something greater than even the Titans. From what we know, though they weren't as addicted to GoD, it was something the Primordials thought was the best thing to be doing all the time...
I thought beyond the edges was an empty, endless gray landscape (or waters). Can't recall where I got the idea from, though.
Hmm. All the answers so far seem to disagree. Sidereal shenanigans?
This reminds me--would the ghost of an elder Sidereal be able to teach Sidereal Martial Arts, even if they cannot use the Charms themselves? I was thinking about writing up a "lost" style only taught by an once-Sidereal spectre and might as well see if the idea is canonically sound.
