In a world where the four seasons thrive, life goes on. And it moves quite fast. Rather they be intentional, natural, or accidental, there are still issues and disasters that happen just like they do in any other world including our own. But there is also great beauty. The kind that easily overshadowed the natural majesty of any others. The first settlers of this land would realize that quite quickly.
To honor the four seasons, one city was created for each. The cities of Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. Each was built in the very heart of the landscape in their respective season. After so many years of careful care, the land had formed very natural borders to separate the biomes of each area. Every city is unique, with wondrous landscapes, flora, and fauna.
Before this could bring about a conflict among the people of the cities a plan was soon put into action to ensure at least the slightest bit of unity between the four cities was kept. A school was built right in the center of the land where the seasons met. Though, of course, students don’t always get along and some stereotypes about each one depending on their home cities still exist. But things, though slowly, seem to be improving.
In this world, two species exist. Both species are native to every city and are allowed to travel and inhabit different cities regardless of their birth season.
PECULIARS: The species that is physically human. They appear just as any normal person does, but they have powers related to the city of their birth. They do not have animal characteristics. ( ex: a peculiar with regeneration powers from spring.)
HYBRIDS: The species that appears mainly human, aside from animal features and characteristics. Hybrids can have animal ears, tails, eyes, etc. The creature they have the characteristics of aligns with the city of their birth. They do not have powers. ( ex: a hybrid with wolf ears and a tail from winter )
SUMMER
• Built in a jungle
• The houses are mainly wooden, built into existing trees to preserve the natural surroundings
• Known for its diverse wildlife, flora, and produce
• Wooden and stone bridges connect the different areas
• Residents mainly travel by foot, and cars aren’t allowed in most areas unless used for traveling to other cities
( peculiar powers are related to the summer/the jungle/ heat, etc)
( hybrid animals are typically creatures that live in tropical climates, savannahs, deserts, hot areas, etc )
SPRING
• Built around a flowery meadow, surrounded by large deciduous tree forests
• Buildings are constructed in levels, adorned with beautiful wildflowers
• Known for its pleasant weather, rain, flowers, and food
• Locals use airborne transportation to access the higher areas of the buildings
( peculiar powers are related to life, regeneration, spring, etc)
( hybrid creatures are related to conventionally “cute” creatures, plains creatures, most birds, etc )
AUTUMN
• Built in a large rocky clearing by the mountains
• Buildings are typically made of stone, illuminated by lanterns and lights that never go out
• The sky seems to be stuck in a permanent state of dusk
• Known for its architecture, literature, and history
• Residents use the canals and waterways, as well as cars
( peculiar powers are related to change, transformation, autumn, etc )
( hybrid creatures are related to nocturnal creatures, forest creatures, etc )
WINTER
• Built on a tundra, bordering some snowy mountains
• Buildings are large and have thick walls, mainly to keep heat inside
• Almost always snowing
• Residents usually travel by train or car
• Known for its scenery, weather, and technology
( peculiar powers relating to the cold, ice, winter, etc)
( hybrid creatures related to mountain animals, tundra animals, etc)
