    So, think about the character's personality and describe everything else.

    An exercise I find helpful for developing characters is to make a medium-sized questionnaire as if you were about to interview the person of your dreams; Think about questions that you'd ask someone you really want to know. Then, putting yourself in your character-to-be's shoes, go ahead and start firing off answers.
    The only difficult part of this is truly putting yourself into the character's shoes and having him/her answer, rather than yourself. (Presuming the theoretical character in discussion is not based upon yourself, of course.)

    Well, your close, but it's more than that. Here's an example:


    Cheerful and optimistic: "The sun was high in the air and shining bright, birds chirping in the sparkling water of their bird baths and a nice pleasant breeze flowing through.


    Gloomy and dark: "The sun, a massive ball of white hot heat, showed no mercy to the people below, countless birds seeking refuge in the dirty waters of the supposed 'Bird Baths' in order to survive the scolding heat.

    Do you think that RPing would make it more difficult for me to consume stories for large amounts of time (or at least longer then the length between your your average notifications) reading novels on wattpad to playing final fantasy VII.

    I can do a novel format, but when you RP you only describe what's happening in the world, it's not one person writing a story that has to be interperated by the reader. It goes back and forth, so in my mind being detailed with RP writing is extra work that takes up more time than it should.

    Often times the reason I turn down an RP is the post requirements and the CS. How the fuck am I supposed to generate ten likes &I ten dislikes off the top of my head that is not cliche and pertinent to really everyone? How am I supposed to fill two whole paragraphs of a characters personality? I'm not a visual artist so how the fuck am I supposed to depict this character in visual form? It's those sort of things that keep me from joining, as someone who writes short stories I'm capable of making an RP post a couple paragraphs long. It's just the requirements to join said RP that I take issue with.

    Go to the board your roleplay was in before the update. Create content with the name, then make a support ticket asking for a mod to transfer the related content to the board you made/ Make sure you link the board!
