  • I'm considering putting up a character archive at some point, but I would never know where to start. Just so many choices, but no idea where to begin.

I'm no character critic, but this looks like a pretty good way to start off. The whole thing looks like an absolute great wall of text on my phone, but I like the simple layout otherwise.

I think it was nice that after you mentioned Jim's quirk for storytelling, you immediately had him tell a story afterwards. I like to imagine he overheard people talking about him, and he just had to walk in with one of his stories ready.

Thank you. He tends to have a story ready for any situation, even the most outrageous. I make at least 80% of them up on the spot, but that one always stays the same.

I think two characters should be enough for now, at least for tonight.
Next DND night is the tenth. This chapter will open with us getting into the magic city in the sky...that also utilizes relatively advanced technology. Goal for that session: Find a mage or...three. Then I can finally forge a bow for our ranger, get it enchanted, and carry on with the next thing on my forging list.
Another night, more DnD. We killed some zombie things, we killed two MASSIVE spiders, we saved a drider FROM the spiders, we got some gems and loot, and we got into super secret techno magic city in the sky. All in all, good session.

I also suplexed a zombie and lit it on fire in one go, win.
    A long awaited DnD update.
We rescued a literal predator (y'know, from the movies) from a research facility after mission impossible'ing our way in. We then proceeded to smash our way through the entire guard army out the front door, and then the predator blew up the facility.
We then got stuck in a monsoon, and had to take shelter in a 'convienent' inn. Turns out this inn was a mimic. We found this out at 3 AM in game time, after going to bed around 12.

I don't recommend the 'losing them' experience personally. We've all had to make at least 3 backsups at the rate things are going.

One can hope. We did level up, but I won't gain any real boons until next level.
My brother has moved out of the house today, and my grandmother will be leaving to head back home by next week. Wonder if anyone missed me, let alone noticed I was gone?....Nah, probably not.

I missed you! And your D&D updates. Even when they were tragic, they were unusual and interesting.

Aw, thanks kaerri. Haven't had a lot to report on the D&D front, things have been pretty slow so far. We met a tortle who I'm pretty sure was master oogway in disguise though.
I have just recently found out that they've announced a new stellaris DLC in full, though there's no release date set yet...Guess there goes more money out of the ol wallet.
Am I a bad person, or a good GM? Part of my wants to see my group's PC's succeed and continue onwards. And then there's that other part of me that's like "Yes they can succeed...but they will suffer every other minute to do so."
I am so...so emotionally broken. Our druid died to a beholder's necrotic death ray. My revivify failed to work to revive him. To make matters worse, our paladin has brained a child in the streets of a city, on the premise it was the same looking child, as a rakshasa has been parading around as...and harassed us as for three months.

Soooo drained right now. But my brain get's hyper active and shit after DnD so...
My Grandad smoked his whole lif.I was about 10 yrs when mum said to him, "If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately." Tears in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. 3yrs later he died of lung cancer. It was rlly sad and destroyed me. Mum said to me- "Don't ever smoke. Pls dont put ur fam though what ur Grandad put us through." I agreed. At 21 i never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because ur profile gave me cancer anyway.

Its bad enough that its a copy pasta. You actually typed it up so it makes you look more inbred than a sandwich.

I remember this copy pasta. I think the part that kills me every time about it, is the spelling in some places.

LOL i actually had to reduce the 600 characterz 😪 best copy paste ever imo i cant stop laughing at it
Every time I look at my status page, I feel like I should have something inspiring or philosphical...or anything really, to make up for how bland it appears. So I guess....oh, okay!

If you're reading this, you're a success. Even if you doubt it, you've pulled through in ways other may not have.
Now that I remember, here's the usual update on DnD. We had to kill our fallen monk, who was revived by a twisted mix of druid magic and necromancy. Every internal system had been replaced by green growth and vines twisted into mass for muscles. The killing blow was quite romantic, as his own brother put him back to rest. We then went on to build him a proper grave and a marker. Why hadn't we done this before, you ask?

Awesome. Sounds like a great group, too!

Also, while most necromancy is 'forbidden', druid necromancy is apparently both forgotten and 'just talking about it is considered a death sentance' layers of forbidden.

It's a pretty great group, yea. I've no complaints what so ever.
HOLY. HELL. By moradins BEARD it was a wild evening. I dropped to one HP, we faced three insanely dangerous enemies (pop culture based, but still), I got my 'how do you want to do this' kill...I have had a blast.
    ManofManyRoles
    ManofManyRoles
It was. The three pop culture enemies we fought were 'simulations' of Nightmare from soul caliber, Akuma from street fighter, and freaking shao con from mortal kombat.

It was pretty great. Wasn't easy at all, but it was fun as hell.
DnD weekend is here. Time to avoid a horrible, agonizing death, smash things with magic and hammer...and put up with the bard trying to seduce everything that moves.
I have gotten my DnD figure. It's got a little heft (makes sense, I did cast it in bronze), it is shiny, and it is mine. I cannot wait to use this in my campaign, and hopefully do some good for our party.
Greetings, I would personally like to invite you to a wintery themed roleplay on discord, Serene Kingdom, for semi literates to literates. If you are interested and would like more information, please PM me :)

    Kindest Regards, Plu

The genre is fantasy, with it's timezone medieval to modern, but leaning more towards medieval. I will only be able to send the plot in pm, but for a quick example it revolves around a being who inhabited an abandoned castle, causing a snowstorm as to illegally claim the kingdom. Not many people liked that and the person is having to fight off other kingdoms who want the land, as well as gain villagers trust.

Alright. Well, I'll try to get a message to you by this evening at the latest then, I need to think on it and make sure I don't bite off more than I can chew, rp wise.

We don't mind short posts, as we do not expect 4 paragraphs. It is a... casual roleplay with the occasional laugh and suspension. You do not need to take your writing so seriously with us ;)
Just got back from the movies, to see 'How to train your dragon 3'. Honestly, I enjoyed it. Very satisfying film, I'd recommend it to anyone who's seen the first two. Reminds me to add in something to my search thread.
Every day, it astounds me just how many people are here. Not in a bad way, in the good sense. So many interesting and wonderful thoughts, plots, ideas, and enjoyments all coalesced into one of the most wonderful communities I've ever seen, and had the privilege to be a part of. So many interesting and unique people I'd love to have an encounter with, and I'm sure I will some day.

Well, I'm finishing a post so I didn't have time to make a good reply to your other comments, but I suppose we can talk another time. Sweet dreams with a spoon of salt for flavor!

Didn't realize I'd become recognizable. That's pretty awesome, actually.
That strange impasse one finds themselves at, when they would love to do a fandom rp, but realize that...
    A. They may not know enough to do it
    B. It may not work well in 1v1
    C. All of the above.
I made the mistake of looking at the 'Hero Forge' site for custom figures...and it's a hundred dollars for it in total...god help me, I can hear my wallet dying.
Ever grab an evil skeleton by the skull, channel holy energy into your hand, and make it explode? I did. It was awesome. DnD is great for things like this.
I am happy to report, that no one died, and we managed to handle this...rather well. I used both healing spells, yes, but not on the same person, which is nice.
Tomorrow is the first session of DnD. Our DM has stated, quite openly, that 65-85% of him is actively trying to kill us. Factor in my sisters tendency to 'leeeeroy jenkins' a situation, and having only TWO healing spells on hand for the entire party....wish me luck.
