Congratulations and welcome to the team! So excited for you!
I've woken up to so many messages, what have I done.

Jokes aside, thank you to all of you who posted on my profile.
Congrats! The Staff are wonderful people and now you are among them which makes you wonderful too! =)

You give me way too much credit. Thank you though!

It may seem so on the surface, but I look at it like this - you and I are strangers, but I have known and trusted The Staff for quite some time (one especially - Kaerri and I are married). They do not select just anyone. So I trust them when they decide to put their faith in you! =)

Whomever you are, you will do just fine! =)
The worst part about being the kind of person who only functions well when they're insanely busy with hobbies or work? When thing leaves a void, you have to scramble to find a new way to busy yourself.

I, unfortunately, wouldn't have an answer for that one, boss. I'm usually the sort to just keep trying, but I do agree there's a time where a hiatus isn't a terrible idea.

I will certainly keep that in mind!
In relation to the previous post, here we go.

    Part 1

Session two of hosting the Aliens RPG tabletop system. As a DM I can say it's a beautiful and simple system, with only a slight learning curve. Straight forward in design and without much room for error. It's also a high-risk system, for both the enemies and PC's.

The squad of USCMC marines are deployed down to a temperate-cold world named 'Neptunes Prison' to investigate the SOS squawked by the monitoring base. Upon touch down they're briefed by the logistics synth on base who informs them that the converted oil rig offshore being used as a communications system has gone dark. They're also informed of an unknown contact outside of the camp that's been spotted a few times.
Marines make their way to the rig and begin to search it, finding several dead marines on the rig. They locate one marine who looks to have chest burst, but they don't know what a xeno is so they're put on even further edge for different reasons. They restore comms and speak about what they've found, to where the lieutenant informs them their orders have changed and they're going to sink the rig into the ocean. The marines depart into the sublevel to plant charges on supporting structures as designated by command. They encounter three PFC's who chest burst as they make their way into the hive.

    Part 2

Their squads PFC, madlad that he is, kills three xenomorphs. Smartgunner evaporates a chest burster as soon as it pops. The forward observer gets a head-bit, but surprise! She's a (currently illegal model) combat synthetic, leaving the entire group on edge and baffled. The group goes to plant the last batch of explosives and round a corner just in time to see a predator snap a xenomorph like a KitKat, the aforementioned 'unknown contact' outside of the camp. The synthetic meanders around like nearly headless nick as she supports the squad as the final detonators are placed. Marines evac as the detonators go off, with more questions than answers on what the hell just happened on that S.O.S encounter. XP was distributed, no casualties from the PC's reported.
Good lord, I just realized, I've been here for four years? Makes me wonder if I should start using this profile section more often for something...maybe reports on how the newest tabletop being run goes.
Happy thanksgiving, to those who celebrate it today. On a day like this, we can be grateful for every thing we can enjoy in life. Our families, our homes, our friends and the ability to pursue our own hobbies and past times freely. Without sounding too sappy, the point is, hope everyone's had a great day, and here's to another year of things to be thankful for.
First thoughts on 'The Outer Worlds': I am legitimately enjoying myself with the entire thing thus far. It's got that same appeal that Fallout New Vegas had, but that's no surprise because they're the same publisher. The combat seems smooth and the UI is easy to navigate. I've already got more side quests than I can shake a stick at, but for me, that's a good thing!
A highly successful DnD session tonight, in some aspects. We got..'invited' to a halloween 'party' by Cicero, god of chaos and madness. As you'd expect, it was completely insane. We got put through a 'costume party', endured a 'game' of fight hydra and beholder, an 'obstacle course' (my dwarf failed every dex check), and so much more. We got three magic items...oh, and each of us have a deadly sin stuck on us. The dwarf has envy...go figure.
The eternal debate of 'Should I make an attempt at creating a group story?' versus 'Am I really motivated enough?' strikes me again today.
This month is looking up. The nineteenth I head out for DnD. The twenty fifth 'The outer Worlds' releases. The twenty seventh, I head to my first ever comic-con. I like how this is looking.
Another somewhat lackluster DND session. Two of our players no showed (One with good reason, fairly). We had a little interaction, a fight, and then we had to close down. if all goes well, a longer run awaits me next time.

Aww. I give cookie anyway for the report. ^;3^
Another DnD session done! This time, we started to dive into the dwarven clerics backstory. Sadly, the start is his grandfather passed away to a sickness spreading through the keep, and he was called back for the funeral and investigation. But it's going well!
Reading through spells today, I realized there is a spell I'd love to use, but will likely never get to use. Earthquake seems so amazing (And fits the theme for a dwarf)...but it's super high spell slot, and I'm not likely to ever need a massive spell that consumes MILES. One can wish though.
Another day, another DnD session. In todays session, we killed a dragonliche, got stuck in a 'groundhogs day' town that reset every day at mid day, and that was about it....though I did a GREAT job as cleric, and saved our party a few times.
DnD session is finished. Great session. I got a golden phased honey badger (it's a golden badger, that can phase in and out on the plane I'm on), A warhammer that can do 6d6 or 6d8 (I forgot) thunder damage with full charges. And I killed like, 80 goblins in a horde.
