Came back from work at like 10 PM. Evening shifts suck but I shouldn't be back this late. The bus said "nope, screw this, it's raining and there's like zero visibility!" and sorta canceled. So now I got to walk home. Great! So, I'm walking home across a bridge through this thick fog and suddenly I hear many voices. I couldn't make out where they were cause it was so foggy, but I hear something along the lines of "...someone's onto us..." I could basically feel heads turning in my direction and I sorta froze up. I couldn't decide on whether I wanted to run or deal with it. Then I heard something click (didn't sound like a gun, more like maybe a box cutter; I didn't want to stick around to find out anyways) and heard footsteps. Okay, now in the fog everyone's on edge and nobody wants to take any chances. Suddenly I heard them all begin to run in my direction. I decided to curl up next to the side of the bridge against the cold railing and try and disappear into the fog. Just inches from me, I could see the entire group of people running across the bridge, ignoring me completely Then I heard a siren and saw police lights. Okay, time for me to split. So I decided to run home. Times like this is when being small helps. That, and being able to blend in with the darkness and the fog. I need a minute to calm down now but damn. I'm alive though.
