I am a pretty avid writer though and a friend recommended me this site, so I'm gonna' try my best to be someone interesting.

I enjoy, reading and writing. I don't remember exactly how long I've been roleplaying but I definitely know that I really got into it maybe sometime around 2012

Hi! You can call me Stray. I'm 29/F and write almost all male OC's as my main. I'm into horror/psychological thriller/post apocalyptic/sci-fi plots that get pretty dark, dramatic, or angsty. Magical aspects are largely included but am also experienced with strictly human RP's. I've purposefully made most of my characters' storylines flexible because I enjoy delving them into other people's creative worlds and seeing how their personality will adapt to new aspects of environment and living!

I've been roleplaying and writing for about 6+ years, so I'd say I'm rather experienced. Hello! The name's pine and I've been on hiatus from RPing for a very long time due to work-life imbalance (lol). Now that I have more time in my hand, I can't help but get drawn back to the community (I've been around since the era of proboards, so to those that are in the know, you can guess how old I roughly am haha.) I started with X-Men before expanding to other general genres (mostly anime, super-powered, fantasy, and divine politics.)

Anyways, hope to have some fun here and pick up a game or two with not-so-strict requirement on minimum word counts!

I've only been roleplaying for a little over a year now, so I'm far from being an expert, but I will definitely try my hardest! Hi everyone! I'm Ashe and I've been roleplaying since about 2013? My memory is kinda bad so I think around then. I'm 21. I'm excited to roleplay here and make some new friends.
The genre I mostly write for is romance and I mainly do fandom roleplays with canon x ocs. I can write other stuff, but that's what I mainly do.
Outside of roleplaying, I like playing video games, watching anime and TV shows and movies, listening to music, and writing.
Last but not least, the reason I joined! Mainly to roleplay with other people and hopefully make new friends in the process who are into the same fandoms I am. I'm looking forward to being apart of this community!

Oof. Introductions. One would think it is easy to talk about themself, but, alas...

I go by Freya and have been roleplaying for 10+ years now, since high school. I started on forums (technically, on paper between friends in school!) but largely do on discord now, whether privately or in a server. Writing has gone on much longer and I have been creating original characters since I can scarcely remember and writing fiction since elementary school. I am an English major whose focus was Creative Writing, so it's safe to say that writing is one of my greatest passions and what I aspire to do with my life. Little excites me more than to character, world, and story-build, and plotting with people and having or being a sounding board for ideas is a genuine joy.

When it comes to my favoured genres (to write or to read/play), I am an absolute sucker for fantasy, high or low (but especially the former). Tolkien was my childhood hero and I was started on his books at the age of 4, so they always proved as a strong source of inspiration. While I haven't read them for many years (and was far too young to read them when I did), The Noble Dead Saga was also incredibly influential, especially in terms of my writing and appreciation for complex, multi-layered characters, and I thoroughly enjoy the dark fantasy that is The Witcher. I also love supernatural stories, whether modern or historical, and I can thoroughly enjoy the macabre and am not afraid of horror and dark themes. While I don't tend to enjoy straight romance and prefer it as a subgenre (with some exceptions), I am definitely a shipper at heart and have been since I was a wee child. I have dabbled in numerous other genres (I especially love AI/android plotlines when it comes to sci-fi. Don't ask me why~), but fantasy, the supernatural, psychological, and stories/settings with horror elements will always be most fond to me. I both enjoy my fluff and sweetness as well as my dark and twisted and experience a particular giddiness when the two are blended.

While most of my experience is with original settings when it comes to roleplay, I have a fondness for The Witcher, which I find myself continuously returning to. While I never had the opportunity to do so, Buffy the Vampire Slayer would be incredibly cool to write and I have craved it for years, and I have entertained the prospect of dabbling with Mass Effect roleplay after my recent re-playthrough with the release of ME:LE. There are numerous fandoms that I highly enjoy, but I will nearly always favour original settings and The Witcher in terms of roleplay. Given my extensive history with character building, I only really write OCs and generally feel incredibly uncomfortable with the idea of writing canon characters from established stories, even my favorites. I am too hypercritical and fear I won't do the character justice and am getting them wrong. I have done it, but not for several years and I only really felt confident and wrote extensively with one (Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler / Kuroshitsuji ), and it is something I am unlikely to be willing to do or try again, at least not without extensive research.

As is probably obvious, I am rather verbose (*cough cough* oops! ) and, as such, am almost always a multi-para to novella roleplayer. I tend to take my time with my writing, whether for my own personal stories or roleplay, especially as I suffer from learning disabilities and certain health issues, and can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my own content. However, I have never really expected others to match me and, while I expect them to properly reply to what I have written, I don't particularly mind if their posts are shorter, even significantly so, or if English isn't their first language, or they are rusty or inexperienced. People will often look at my writing and feel intimidated, and it makes me sad, as they tend to assume I will think they aren't good enough or feel that they themselves aren't, which couldn't be farther from the truth. Writing, like all skills, takes practice and I am not going to be critical or judgmental unless something egregious is done, such as godmodding/powerplaying/metagaming or half of my dialogue and actions aimed at the character in question is completely ignored in their response and I have nothing to reply to.

In all honesty, I joined RPNation for purposes of roleplay advertising, but I enjoy the idea of being a part of a larger roleplay community where roleplay and whatever else might be discussed. While I may have some trust issues due to some horrible roleplay experiences and people, I am eager to make new acquaintances and, dare say, friends! Especially after an isolating year and a half, engaging in discussions with people with similar hobbies sounds rather nice and relaxing.

Hello. I'm generally a self secluded, awkward human being with a short attention span but overall good intentions.

I've been roleplaying for a long ass time. It started with letters, evolved into emails and finally into forums when I turned 13. I think my first roleplay was about horses. I have a fear of horses so this roleplay quickly died.

I absolutely love engaging story telling through roleplaying and exploring characters and ways to develop them through this kind of writing, and I crave finding like minded people who I can share the experience with. So, if you read this, hello fellow human. Hope to see you again sometime (even if it's not through ourselves, but rather our characters)
