Viewpoint What fandoms do you miss, or what are some you can't find partners for?

Pizza Tower
I know I’ve talked about this game A LOT, LOT
But I miss the days when the fandom was bustling, and it was easy for me to find potential role play partners.

Now, it is very hard finding others who like this game :(

Hi!

Blood/Blood+ - old anime about a vampire that hunted demons. Our RP had our charries as the kids of Saya.

Robotech - even older anime space opera. Based on a space ship then as pilots in giant transforming space robo planes we fought giant humanoid aliens.

Totally Spies! - fave cartoon when I was a kid. 3 girlie girls are secret spy team. Had a huuuuge crush on Clover lol.

COD Zombies, I know you guys exist somewhere out there 😭

Cucumber quest. Why does nobody know cucumber quest? I want a rp about cucumber quest SO BAD.

And also: The Witch's Throne. It is literally SUCH a cool RP idea. yet nobody seems to know it.

The fandom for How to Survive Camping barely exists and I have never seen anyone talk about roleplaying from it, ever. There are 15 fics that even exist and somehow even less fanart? Absolutely wild. This fictional universe would make for such good OC RP and there's so much potential for CC plotty RP or even shipping...

I want this series to get so much bigger so I have any hope of finding others who have read it, much less finding RP for it!

My Hero Academia.

It's not that it's particularly hard to find people that like the manga, but I struggle with finding people that want the same type of roleplay based on it that I do.

And what type is it?

What I enjoyed most with MHA was that, at least at the start, quirks were pretty weak compared to powers in other settings.

I want a roleplay that reflects that element of the manga.

That part is quite fun yeah. I also think it's quite manageable to get that kind of RP. It's been quite a while since I've been in a my hero RP but at least around half the quirks were often relatively self-contained stuff, though admittedly a few people really pushing it tends to make other people stretch their powers a bit more because they don't want to feel useless...

creepypastas. there's so many good stories like the goatman, the showers, and my best friend has a diary of another world. but maybe I'm just a boomer who like things that are too niche. xD

Ive been trying and trying to find someone that will rp sing with me, playing Jonny for my oc T-T

My gosh just thought of it when I was doing up an app.

Moulin Rouge! But like it was AU where the gm made the theatre haunted with good and bad ghosts.

Touhou Project! Especially one with a more down-to-earth feeling like Forbidden Scrollery.

overwatch 😔 ✊

Okay, I have three to share... For some reason. Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Metal Cardbots are my top three I can't find partners for. Kamen Rider & Super Sentai are Japanese, which I get, but I really wish I could find partners for it. Metal Cardbots is Korean. The korean show only streams on Youtube. A couple people on Discord knows about this, but I do wish to roleplay it on here.

Batman is popular, yes. It's kind of hard finding rps for him though. I would love improve roleplaying the guy.

The nostalgic part of me really wants to do an RP based on Legend of Spyro, Eragon, or HTTYD.

I also really miss when Experiment/Mutant RPs used to be really popular.

eragon RP's would be good- I need to reread

I always end up looking for super specific fandoms (or fandom adjacent) stuff 😆. The catch is that its always a search for whatever I'm watching/reading/playing at the time, which can be LITERALLY ANYTHING. The topics are always on complete opposite sides of the vibe scale too. For instance, I'm currently playing ludicrous amounts of Helldivers 2 and following Invincible, but at the SAME TIME I'm rewatching She-ra and just casually picking up episodes of mlp. It doesn't get any more different than that.

- Batman Beyond (so much potential, so little interest)
- Young Justice (the tv show, I haven’t read the comics)
- Lunar Chronicles (Marissa Meyer’s book series, fairytale adaptations in the distant future, Cinderella’s a cyborg, Red Riding Hood is a French woman with a spaceship and a gun, etc.)
- Last Airbender/Legend of Korra (mentioned already, I’d play if it’s a good setup)
