Zombies [Inactive]

Roger Greyson

I can Smell you
High King of Earth submitted a new role play:

Zombies - When you're down and out as a species, will our evil finally die... probably not

This is the year 2026

About a year ago, the asteroid Apophis hit the Earth, kicking up dust, and sending foreign microbes into the atmosphere. This... microbe... caused men and women to lose themselves, they became feral, primal, and cannibalistic. This disease also took on the characteristics of other deadly diseases, it allowed the microbe to block the absorption of serotonin in the brain, and also caused people to begin to rot until they could no longer move, and even then,...

Roger walked the lonely road, brooding about his Grandfather, Stupid.... Stupid! why didn't I know about that bite?! He could have turned.. and bit me... Grandpa.... He turned left at an intersection where dozens of cars had crashed and a horde had eaten any survivors, "What am I DOING!" he asked himself, What's the point? he thought.

He entered a Costco, intending to raid it for any supplies that hadn't already been taken, when he tripped and fell over a pile of rubble, "ow!" he said.

Suddenly a group of about six zombies came out from behind a car, "gurrrrgle" one of them said through a mangled mouth.

"Shit..." Roger muttered under his breath, he had left his katana at home, intending to be in and out within a couple of minutes...

Kat opened her eyes, stunned by the sight that she was looking at. The sun was shining so bright that she had to close her eyes.

When she opened them again, there was a zombie moaning at her.

She flipped up, kicking it in the face, sending it lurching backwards.

She nodded approvingly. "Stay there."

And then she ran.

Russell was walking along a dirt road. It was surrounded by a thick layer of trees which was good because zombies couldn't get trough it easily. It was a warm sunny day (can it Roger?). Russell's gray coat was very warm and sweaty from all of that running. He was holding his survival knife in his other hand. "I can't believe she's gone" Russell thought, thinking about the last time he saw his grandma. He looked in to the distance and saw nothing except that the road still continued fowards. "She's alive, i know she is!" Russell thought, trying to convince to himeself that his grandma was still alive and well. "Now i just got to find her and then we will find a safe place and.. everything will be fine"

(Sorry if i suck at roleplaying, i'm still new at this :I)
While Russell was still deep in his thoughts he hadn't noticed the crashed and abandoned car next to him. When Russell snapped out of it he noticed the abandoned vehicle. It was a Toyota Corolla and its front was covered in blood. It was stuck in the ditch on the right hand side of him. "Maybe there's something useful in there" Russell thought and looked nervously in to the forest. "I better be really quiet or else i will get some unwanted visitors" He thought and got closer to the car. He looked inside of it in case there was any zombies in it and luckily there were none. Russell quickly looked around him and opened the car's front door. Suddenly the car's alarm went off. "Aw shit!" Russell swore in anger and tried to look for some supplies. There wasn't anything on the seats or on the floor but then he opened the glove box and saw a map. He took it and then heard groaning coming from the forest, Russell looked there and saw five zombies coming for him, then Russell just started to run with the map in his left hand and the survival knife in the other in to the distance.

(( soon, our characters need to meet.. heck, mine won't survive without someone coming.. that's kinda what I had been aiming at...))

After Russell got away from the zombies, he came across an intersection where were a lot of crashed cars and no survivors. He turned right and noticed a building in the distance. Russell walked closer and saw that it was an Costco. He also saw that someone was in the parking lot with six zombies. "Oh crap!" Russell though, launching himself in to a nearby bush. "Who the hell is that?" Russell thought and peeked from the bushes in to the parking lot. "He looks to be unarmed. I don't think he's going to be any trouble. I'll need to help him!" Russell looked around for something that would help him, he only found a rock. "This is so stupid" Russell thought. "Well here goes nothing" Russell stood up and threw the rock near the zombies, trying to get their attention. ""Over here you ugly monsters!" Russell shouted to the zombies. "Run man, RUN!" Russell also shouted to the man in the parking lot.

Kat ran like heck, into a large store that she didn't bother looking at the name of. She glanced behind her shoulder and... Crashed into two guys and knocked them all down.

The zombies on her side started to close in as she struggled to get up.

Roger got up and dusted himself off, "Damn! one person was bad enough... what the hell do you two think you're doing? You're going to get all of us killed!" He weighed the options, run off and leave them to die, he would be alone, and he would survive, but later on down the road he might get into trouble, on the other hand, if he saved them, he would have to carry them around like a bunch of babies. An image flashed into his mind of him feeding the boy, dressed like a diaper and sitting in a high chair, Blech... he thought, but he decided that he needed them.. when he didn't, he would cut them loose. "Come on, over here!" he said, waving his arm for them to follow, then, not even checking to see if they were following, he started running in the opposite direction, away from the zombies, and to the relative safety of the Costco.

"Sorry for trying to help!" Russell grumbled to the man and got up. He noticed where he was going and decided to follow him. "C'mon girl!" Russell said to the girl just before he started to follow the man in to the Costco.

Kat huffed, slightly annoyed. Were people always gonna assume she was weak and couldn't take care of herself?!

"My name's Kat!" She yelled angrily. "And I'm probably more manly than both of you put together!"

"Just hurry up!" Russell said to Kat a bit annoyed because this was not the time, still following the man. The noise we all did attracted more of the flesh eating monsters. "How did this all go so wrong so fast?" Russell thought

(Wohoo page two!)

When he entered the Costco, he had the strong urge to lock the doors before the others got in, but he fought past it, and waited until the girl came in before he closed, locked and barricaded the door. "My name is Roger, who are you two?" he asked quietly, "and don't make too much noise.. they'll leave us alone if they think we're gone.."

"The name's Russell" Russell said quietly to Roger. "Nice to see someone who doesn't want to take a bite out of me"

Kat shook her head in slight disgust and leaned against a storage box. "I'm Katrina. You can call me Kat."

Or kitty-Kat...

She smiled to herself. "So what's your guys's story?"

"We should get the important things out of the way first" Russell replied and started to look around. "We should first clear out the place from zombies and search for some supplies in the progress"

Kat rolled her eyes. "Exactly. Thank you. Uh, what section of town are we in? I have a really bad sense of direction."

"Alright" Russell replied to Roger. Russell completely forgot that he had found a map. It was now in his pants back pocket. He took it out and started to scan it.

Kat shook her head in disgust again. Did I get stuck with people who have as bad of a sense of direction as me?! Don't they know what part of town they are in?!?!?!?

She rolled her eyes and sat down on the storage box, beginning to wonder how they had survived this long.

"Looks like the fellow who owned the car was heading to Las Vegas" Russell thought because all of the routes from California to Las Vegas were highlighted and there was writing on the map which stated that "Las Vegas is safe"

"Las Vegas? Safe? you must be joking.. big cities aren't safe, hell I was thinking about leaving L.A. within the next few days, myself!"

"I still don't know where to go" Russell said and just then started to think a proper plan.
