Zombie Apocoloypse Survival

Jason listened closely to her humming, taking note of the fact that she was humming the same song from a few days back. He chuckled and resumed his attention to the rollin fields that passed by.
 
Alex had drove till night had approached, stopping at a hotel." Here should be fine," She said, grabbing their duffle bag and bolting inside,
 
"Wait we don't know-" Jason froze in shock as he heard a gun shot ring through the air. He suddenly forgot about everything and bolted inside. "Alex!"
 
Jason found her standing at the entrance and nearly fainted with relief. "Alex you scared the hell out of me! What was the gun..." he looked around and saw a man holding a gun. He stood up straight and stared at the wall. He was prepared to reach for his gun if needed.
 
Jason saw that Alex had alrwady took action, and unholstered both of his pistols and pointed them at the man. ("the man" x3) "We just stopped by here to rest."
 
Jason looked over the man's shoulder and saw a family of three. Two daughters and a mother. "Lovely family," he commented. "I understand you're being protective, but if you don't put the gun down, it's not going to end well."
 
Jason holstered his guns, looking around. It looked as if they had made the place their own home. He held his hand out to the man (teh man) and introduced himself, "My name is Jason." The man (teh man >:3) timidly shook his hand and nodded.
 
Jason looked around again, amazed at how homey (however yu would spell dat) the place looked. "So is there anyone else here?" Jason asked.
 
"Both that we've seen of," The woman with the children said as she came up to stand by her husband, the two girls clinging to her legs,
 
Jason slightly flinched as he saw the family together. He had run away from his family because it was too chaotic for him. He'd never truly understood a family bond very well. "Is there a room we can stay in for the night?" he asked.
 
The man and woman exchanged glances before nodding," Yea, tonight only though. We don't want random people coming in after you two."
 
Jason wondered if they noticed how uneasy he was. He shook the thoughts away and nodded. "Thank you. We appreciate it," he said. "Can you show us where the room is?"
 
Jason nodded at the man and thanked him, walking into the room and looking around. He looked out te window and saw the large dome in the far distance.
 
((Random question, but should we act like they never dated and they get together where it's safe in da dome?))Alexa stood beside him, gazing out.
 
(I would actually just go for a more bonding moment if dats otay. It wouldn't make sense to play it out like they never dated :P ) "You know... Seeing that family together made me uneasy," Jason admitted. He held her hand firmly, grasping it a little tighter.
 
"I've never truly understood what family is. I ran away from my parents as a child and lived on my own, thinking it was just a cruel world," he said, lacing his fingers through Alexandria's. "I never had a real family."
