Jason followed Alexandria up the fire escape and onto the roof. He was becoming a lot more fond of this. "Which way?" he asked.

Alexa saw a near by sign, saying it was home of the best radio station and she pointed,

Jason grinned. They were getting closer and closer to safety. He didn't think it would be very easy, though. He led the way along the roof until they finally reached the radio station. It was a tall skyscraper lined with numerous windows. Jason was already forming another life- threatening plan.

Alexa looked at him, waiting for him to do or say something

Jason saw a good- size piece of wood, with a simple metal railing and ropes attached to it. Jason pointed to it and said, "If we can just reach that..."

Alexa glared at the boy before her." Really?" She asked at his plan, shaking her head

Jason looked back at her and laughed hard. "Am I still deranged?" he asked. "Yet, am I also right?"

"Can't we just tak the door'?" She asked, looking down at the open doors

"How many other people do you think have taken that door and haven't come out?" he asked.

Alexa sighed, shaking her head.

"I don't like the idea anymore than you do," he assured her. "We're going to have to climp up that way."

Alexa sighed," I'll go first." She said, standing up

 

[PartyRocker1013]

"Wait," he said. "I'll head up there first. When I reach it, I'll bring it down for you to hop on there quickly." He just felt it would be easier that way.

"I'll go through the doors and meet you at the roof." Alexa said without another word, climbing down the long fire escape and going through the doors. She made it up alive.

Jason felt Alexandria had already closed the discussion, and just decided to follow her up that way. It wouldn't be of any use to seperate. He was paranoid on the whole trip up. He didn't like being open to the chance of a zombie surprising him. When they finally reached the top, Jason felt a wave of relief wash over him.

" see, it wasn't so bad now was it?" Alexandria kissed his cheek as a thanks and went to the nearest radio.

Jason still preferred heights, but just smiled at Alexandria and pulled his book out, looking for the radio frequency. "You wouldn't happen to know how to work all this equipment, would you?"

"Maybe." Alexa looked at the book, following the radio frequencies. Voices of army men and other people came, telling anyone who could here them to report to the tiny place.

Jason smiled wide. He didn't know what town this was or where they were as well as Alexandria did. He just let her handle the equipment while he kept watch.

Alexa eventually found where they were and noticed they were close but far." If we a find a working car we can make it."

Jason grinned and hugged Alexandria close. "We'll finally be safe soon," he said.

Alexandria smiled and snuggled into him

Jason didn't want to let go, but he knew they would have to get to the city soon. "Come on, we should get going," he said.

Alexandria held his hand as she led them back to the street, finding a car unlocked with some gas.

Jason had his pipe out this time, as they went back downstairs. He wacked a couple of zombies upside the head as they walked out onto the street. "You know how to drive?" he asked hopefully.
