Height: 5'3
Weight: 135 pounds (Well below average due to malnourishment)
Personality:
Lexi is one of the most innocent and cheerful people that you'll probably meet. Truly a light of happiness among a crowd of miserable souls. One may think that such a kind soul could not possibly have been through life's cruel ways of torturing such innocence... People could not be more wrong. While she is actually kind and couldn't harm a fly, her personality is also partly to cover up the domestic abuse she recieves on a nearly daily basis. Insults, beatings, you name it. I mean it's not like she's wearing that eyepatch as a fashion statement.
Regardless, she continues to be cheerful and happy in the public. While she does have friends, she doesn't talk to anyone about her troubles. She'll just tough out the abuse at home be herself anywhere else. Being friendly, easily scared, optimistic, clumsy and clueless. However because of her happy-go-lucky nature she can tend to land herself into a bit of bother too. She is quite easy to manipulate and take advantage of. Even more so if you know her well. Luckily she has her big brother James Mac niadh Lane. Well he's not seriously her big brother, but he's the only real family she's ever had since that day he saved her from a band of street thugs that tried to mug her. However this will be explained further later on.

Lexi had never known her mother as she died giving birth. Which in turn caused her father, Henry Caiheart, to fall into a deep grief and resort to alchohol. While he never admited it, Henry blamed Lexi for the death of his wife and looking at her only gave rise to a deep resentment that was only amplified by the inexorbinant amounts of beer he consumed. The abuse started off small, he still cared for her as a baby but as she grew, the neglect became more apparent, and then when that wasn't enough, if Henry had enough drink in him he would throw abusive words at her, cursing her existence and openly blaming her for her mothers death. Only recently the abuse got to horrible proportions as Henry physically hurt her on a daily basis. This was only calmed down by the one time it went too far and he smashed a beer bottle across her face. It didn't take long for him to realise what he'd done when she saw Lexi clutching her right eye and screaming in pain, blood seeping through the gaps of her fingers.
Luckily Henry still had enough of a concience to phone emergency services and get an ambulance as soon as possible. Lexi had been permanently blinded in one eye and now has an eyepatch to show for it. Henry knew what was going to happen if the truth got out. Before questions were asked by the doctors, Henry tried to convince Lexi that he would never hurt her again, so long as she covered up the truth of what happened to her. Lexi had never seen her father so desperate and worried. Was he worried for her? Or himself? However with Lexi being so hopeful finally have a loving father, she lied to the doctors, saying it was her fault, that she tripped over something and smashed the bottle where a shard of glass sliced her eye. The doctors were not entirely convinced but didn't have the authority to press futher. Once she was finally discharged, it took her a while to get used to coordinating with one eye, gradually improving with time. However one thing that never improved was Henry's behaviour.
Despite his honeyed words, Henry made no attempt to even try loving his own daughter. Although he wasn't as violent, the neglect was all the same, only really talking to her when he wants her to do chores or go off on another one of his tantrums. In fact even now he'd gradually start getting worse when he drinks. She considered her options, running away... Where would she go? Fighting back... How? Calling for help... Who? With no option left she just decided to avoid her father as much as she can while she's home and be herself when she's outside. She's silent and obedient at home but when she steps outside she's a completely different person. As if those years of abuse never happened. Still she thought she'd never have a real family, that she'd truly be alone in this world. That all changed when she met James.
One day she was out grabbing the groceries, when a bunch of thugs surrounded her. They were trying to rob her of course. Lexi was terrified, and she wasn't sure what she was more scared of... The thugs waving a knife in her face or returning to her father with no groceries or money. Then she heard a calm voice approaching. A large and very well built man with a cross on his chest came to her rescue as he tried to calm down the situation and offered the thugs a chance to leave and forget anything happened. The thugs responded in a less than friendly manner and thrusted the knife at the man. Lexi screeched and shielded her eyes from witnissing the gore. However what she heard wasn't a singular thrust, but rather a series punches and thuds. Lexi slightly unshielded her eyes to see all the muggers on the floor and beaten to a pulp with the man standing over them, completely unscathed. Before she could utter a single word. The man answered her questions instantly before she asked them. He said "No need to thank me, I was just merely doing my duty to God. The names James by the way. Be sure to visit my church some time." Then just walked off.
Lexi couldn't believe that someone just protected her from harm. That someone actually cared enough to intervene. From then on she visited James' church and listened to the advice he gave. That no matter who you are or what you've done, God will always be with you and always forgive you. Lexi had finally found her reason to keep going and be strong. Then one thing went to another and Lexi started seeing him as the brother she never had. Now whenever Lexi was out and about, she'd actively search for James and divebomb him as her version of a "Hi how are you doing?" Around him she never felt happier and safer.
