"Alright I draw" she replied and pulled out a card "I summon red gadget in attack position" she replied as a red mechanical creature with a massive gear on ita back appeared on the field

"And I activate its effect" she smiled as a card got pushed out of her deck and she picked it up

"Next I use red gadget to attack your face down monster" she replied

2200 DEF. But Anna didn't take any damage...
"Mind Protector's effect is that while I take 500 points of damage per turn, neither my or your monsters can attack if their ATK is below 2000."
"So your Red Gadget's attack is negated."

2200 DEF. But Anna didn't take any damage...

"Hmm... Well I end my turn then" she replied

Yuta came back out to the dueling arena again. The guy he dueled was still going at it with the other girl. He wanted to test his deck one more time, and he felt that the other duelist still had room to grow and that he did not present nearly the challenge necessary for Yuta to grow. Turning a younger blonde girl who seemed confident. Yuta could not tell whether that confidence was rooted in her own skill as a duelist or a natural part of what seemed to be her personality, either he felt the need to challenge her.

"Yo, do you duel," he asked her cautiously.

"Well we'll see then," Yuta replied. He pulled out his deck and threw it into the deck slot on his duel disk. The machine whirred to life as its moving parts shuffled into place. Then once finished, the deck now half-stuffed inside was shuffled automatically with a bunch of the cards sliding in and out into different places randomly. "Whenever you're ready, Princess," Yuta added as he took position on the opposite end of the courtyard from her.

"Do I duel?" Jacquelyn faces the guy who addresses her. She puts the back of her hand up in front of her mouth. Ojou-Sama Pose! "O-hohoho! I don't just duel! I win! I always win! Do you want to play me?! Prepare to lose!"

The LP counter didn't go down this time.
"Apparently effects do NOT activate while the card is face down. So I'll say I lost 500 LP this turn because Mind Protector's effect didn't count that time."
"Draw."
Psychic Commander. Hold on a minute! I have an idea! I can Synchro Summon Hyper Psychic Blaster if I can get 1 more psychic on the field!
"I summon Psychic Commander in attack mode!"
A weird looking hovertank slowly descended onto the battlefield. Said monster had a stupid grin on it's face-well, the bandana.
"I'll end my turn. Little worried about what you've got on that field..."
4 monsters. One more and that's it. Could summon Megaform...

"Ok" Anna drew her next card "next I flip my face down monster to attack position" she replied and did so, which revealed Machina Defender "now I activate its effect and taje Commander Covington from my deck and place it in my hand" her deck then gave her the card and she retrieved it

"Then I summon Machine Sniper in attack position and end my turn" she replied

In their place a giant mecha appeared.
"I tribute Giga Tech Wolf and Cannon Soldier for Machina Megaform."
The giant mech slowly marched onto the field.
"I'll have Megaform attack your Machina Sniper. Alright, Megaform-"
The giant mech aimed a shoulder cannon at the sniper.
"Fire."
The mech fired the cannon right at Machina Sniper.
Oh... whoops. Psychic Commander isn't in DEF form. There better not be a Mirror Force or I'll lose the chance of summoning Blaster.

I point at Giga Tech Wolf and Cannon Soldier, who both vanish. I slightly cringe watching my shot at Labyrinth Tank go, but Megaform has higher attack.

The giant mech slowly marched onto the field.
"I'll have Megaform attack your Machina Sniper. Alright, Megaform-"
The giant mech aimed a shoulder cannon at the sniper.
"Fire."
The mech fired the cannon right at Machina Sniper.
Oh... whoops. Psychic Commander isn't in DEF form. There better not be a Mirror Force or I'll lose the chance of summoning Blaster.

Anna smiled "thank you, you just activated my trap card, the trap card Draining Shield" she smiled as the card flipped itself on the field and covered machine sniper

"With this card your attack,is negated and I gain life points equal to,your monsters attack points" she smiled as her life point counter went up to 10600

It wasn't one of horror, it was one of... relief.
Something much worse was up Max's sleeve.
His next words didn't make things better.
"Oh... whew. I thought I was screwed for a second there."
The duelist shook his head.
"Right. I'll use my MP 2 to put Commander in defense mode-"
An odd psychic shield began to levitate around the tank, after the Commander pressed a button.
"Aaand I'll end."
