"You forgot about the star of the show, my Odd-Eyes Ray Pendulum Dragon! He has 2500 attack points, greater than your Starliege's 2000! Looks like you'll be taking 500 points of damage, which is doubled with my Odd-Eyes' effect! Looks like you jumped the gun," Tensei said. His dragon leaped up into the air, firing from its mouth a crimson beam of flame breath swirling with dark crimson and white bands of energy towards the Starliege.​
 
"agh! I forgot!" Kirito said, as his warrior exploded, and his LP dropped by 1000.

"At the end of battle phase, my Galaxy-Eyes returns with your monster!"

He sighed. "I activate a spell, Galaxy Trance! I pay 2000 LP to summon two lvl 4 monsters, one from my GY, one from my deck! Return, Thrasher, and from my deck, I summon Wizard!"

His two Monsters appeared. "Now I conduct an XYZ summon! Overlaying both my level 4 monsters, I summon Photon Blast Dragon in defense! (Def:2500) Now I set two cards and end!"

Tensei drew his card, looking around his field. The plan came together, and he was ready. He raised his arms, making sure that he kept the card in his hand hidden from his opponent.

"Attention to everyone in the crowd," he said awkwardly to the one person that comprised their crowd, "the main show is about to begin! First, I activate my Pot of Greed spell card in order to draw two cards." He drew the two cards allowed to him from Pot of Greed. Then he brought one of them out of his hand.

"First, I activate my Sky Iris' effect! I destroy my Persona Dragon in my Pendulum zone to add Odd-Eyes Fusion from my deck to my hand! And you know what that means! I get to summon an Odd-Eyes monster with my Arc Pendulum's effect! Come to my field, Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon! Now, I'm going to place my scale 3 Xiangke Magician in the open Pendulum scale, then I'm going to perform a Pendulum Summon! Return from my Extra Deck, Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon and Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon!"

Three beams of light struck down from the portal in the sky, as his three dragons landed on his side of the field.​

    "Heh, as you wish! Here goes!" Rintarro looks down at his hand he had. Not a bad hand. Actually pretty good. "You're in luck. I've got a great start right here, buuut you'll have to 'wait' to see it! For now, Fluffal Dog takes to the field!" A soft-toy looking dog leapt out of the ground from where a holographic card would form, before landing with a squeak and barking.

    "And with his effect, there's a reason why he can be a duellist's best friend. He lets me add any Fluffal of my choice or Edge Imp Sabres from my deck to my hand. I choose Fluffal Sheep, and since I control a Fluffal with a different name, I can now summon it!" A soft-toy looking sheep flew out of the ground where a holographic card would form, before it would come back in with a landing, in defence.

    "Now with it's effect, if I return 1 Fluffal to my hand, I can swap it with an Edge Imp from my hand or graveyard. So, by taking my Dog back, I give Edge Imp Chain in defence instead!" The dog vanished and in its place, a monster completely comprised of chains rose up and mantained a defensive stance. "That'll do for now. You're up."

    The Edge Imp Chain is destroyed, and Rintarro takes 1000 damage (5000 LP). "Fine by me. When my Chain goes from my hand or field to the grave, I can add a Frightfur card from my deck to my hand. And I choose this one. It's Frightfur Reborn." Rintarro revealed the card he just added to his hand - it was a spell - and then he shuffled his deck up.

Looks like it was no longer safe to read manga in a library. Not with this many kids crowded around the quiet little corner now, because somebody had to go ahead and have a duel. Sighing annoyedly, Elizabeth quietly slid the book under her suit, looking up in time to see Fuma retrieve a book using her Ghostrick creatures.

"Oh? There seem to be quite a few people with interesting abilities or two here."

"Shut up, Felgrand."

"Have you ever thought that maybe some of those powers could be dangerous? What if that girl can say, bring to life a really pissed-off Red-Eyes Black Dragon to life?"

"That's your problem."

"That's easy for you to say, Red-Eyes are the worst. Those things have the worst temper ever. Don't get me started on Blue-Eyes. They're all cocky just because they think they're strong..."

"Blue-Eyes White Dragon does have a higher original ATK value than you."

"Hey. That's a sensitive subject for me, and you know it."

"Not my fault you've got an awkward attack value."

"2800 isn't as awkward as the Amorphages, or Evilswarm... Those things have a random 50 tacked on the end."

"Cut the small talk, or shut your mouth."

Elizabeth wore a clearly sour expression as she stood up and left the library, but not before glancing at a few of the students. As she walked past Fuma, the annoying voice that only she could hear let out a small snicker. "Really? Of all things, she makes Ghostricks come to life? At least animate something more intimidating. Like, a Dragon. Or a Wyrm, at least. What's with that taste?"

"I think she can hear you."

"She totally cannot hear me. Watch. HEY GIRL, YOUR TASTE IN MONSTERS IS BAD! See? She can't hear."

"Cut your crap. It's hard to imagine the Divine Dragon Lord has such an annoying attitude."

"Hey, I've won you all your duels though."

"You're just Xyz fodder. Or banish fodder for Chaos Emperor or Levianeer."

"Ok, that actually hurt a bit... I thought it was Arkbrave's job to be Xyz fodder for Dark Anthelion..."

She sighed as she walked out the exit... She's had to put up with this crap for over ten fucking years. Yep. Apparently, the spirit of Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand is some sassy-ass dragon, that won't shut up.

"Alright, now cut your crap. What'd you want to say?"

"Well, excuse me for trying to lighten the mood. You already know, anyway, right? Serious shit's brewing."

The two both remained silent for a little bit, until Felgrand finally spoke up again.

"Didn't you say it yourself? That we'd be in for a really rough storm? Wasn't that like, the entire reason you came back here? Something's brewing, I just can't smell out what."

"My theory is that the Sacred Beasts break out of the damned seal."

"We'll have to wait and see."

"I'm not going to sit on my ass and let it happen."

"Ainsworth, listen here, this is a problem for the kids. You should just sit back and let them solve it. If it was actually God Cards, you won't be able to handle it, even if you built a deck just to counteract those things. This isn't your time anymore, their 'destiny' or whatever is meant to be in their own hands."

"I swear, whoever designed you should be erased from existence."

"That'd be a problem now, wouldn't it? If your husband's dad never existed, nor would your husband, and you'd actually be a Wizard. No. Not even that. How does Grand Caster sound to you?"

"I swear, I will put you in a paper-shredder one day."

"I'll get reprinted, and I'll come back to haunt you."

Fuma turned, hearing every last darn word from those spirits, as she is of course, used to dealing with spirits and the like, and she was 'not' impressed. Her face changed from 'where the hell are these pages' to 'nice to hear you too' in about 15 seconds. So, yeah, there she is going from trying to read a book, finding the pages were missing, and getting ticked off by some spirit who thinks she can't hear them. Nice one.

Her space fighter spun around once more, before unleashing a barrage of misses at Rintarro. 'Please don't have some sort of hand trap.' she thought. In her opinion, she is doing quite well currently.

  • Rintarro was now down to 1000 LP. This ain't good. "OK, good, you're done... Now it's my turn!" He draws his next card and smiled. "Alright, first I'll set two cards face-down and re-summon my Fluffal Dog! Except this time I add Edge Imp Sabres to my hand. Now I play Polymerization, to fuse my Sabres with my Dog and my Fluffal Rabbit in my hand! Now watch as these three monsters create a new one that is raring to tear you apart! The king of the jungle, Frightfur Tiger!" A light blue tiger prowled onto the field, with scissors at it's chest as it roared.

    "Now I use the effects of it 'and' my Rabbit! My Rabbit lets me return my Fluffal Dog from my grave to my hand, and then Frightfur Tiger lets me destroy 1 card on the field per material he used! Oh yeah, and he gives 300 ATK bonus to each Frightfur for each Fluffal and Frightfur I have - even himself! I destroy your entire back row and your Space Fighter!" The Frightfur Tiger screeched as it rampaged across the field to it's three targets. If nothing is done, they are all destroyed.

"I activate my trap! Windstorm of Equata! Your monster gets switched to defense mode!" She said. As that happened, her fighter and facedown exploded. Her facedown was Meteor Rain.

"Fine by me. You're up." Rintarro said as his Tiger was now in a vulnerable state with only 1200 defence points to his name. "Let's see what you've got for me now, hm?"

Sarah drew her next card, before smiling. "Alright, I activate a spell card, a second Big Bang Shot! Next, I play a spell, limiter removal!"

As she now had no cards in hand, she hoped this would finish the duel. "My monster currently has 3200 atk! Go Vic Viper, attack his monster!"

Her fighter jet flew towards the tiger, before firing a barrage of lasers at it.

Rintarro sighed. "Good grief... Well, here you go! The Trap, Mirror Force! When you declare an attack, I can play this card. You know what happens next. Monsters you have in attack mode go on a one way trip to the graveyard!" The Mirror Force blocked the attack then reflected and focussed down the Vic Viper, eventually 'eating' it whole. Destroyed by the Mirror Force.

"Since you control no cards, I'm going to assume you're done, right?"

Rintarro laughed. "You should be more worried about what your opponent has, but OK. I'll play my Trap, Fusion Reverse! With this, by revealing a monster in my Extra Deck, I add one of it's listed materials to my hand. I reveal Frightfur Bear, and add Fluffal Bear to my hand. And there's more! With a copy of Polymerization in my grave, I can use this card's second effect to take it to my hand." He's setting up for a Fusion Summon again. After he gets the cards he chose, he draws and smiled.

"This ought to be good... First, I normal Summon my Fluffal Dog again, and with it's effect, I add Fluffal Penguin to my hand. Then, with the effect of Edge Imp Sabres, by returning my Bear to the top of my deck, my Sabres are brought back. Then, with Polymerizartion, I fuse my Dog, Penguin and Sabres to make this! Monster that bares blades for bones, and energy for chaos! The beast that follows the prey's trail endlessly, Frightfur Wolf!" A ferocious wolf-like monster rocketed out of the ground, landed, and howled.

"Now I use my Penguin's effect. When he goes to the grave by Fusion Summon, I draw 2 cards then discard 1." Rintarro draws two cards then discarded Fluffal Wings. "Now I discard my Bear to use 'his' effect. When I do so, I can place Toy Vendor from my deck face-down. And now I'll flip it up - only so I can use the effect of my Wings in my grave! If he's in my grave and I control Toy Vendor, I can banish him and 1 other Fluffal - like my Bear, and draw a card. Then, if I send my Vendor to the grave, I can draw again!" Rintarro does just that. "And there's more! When my Vendor goes, I can add 1 Fluffal or Edge Imp Sabres from my deck to my hand! And I choose this one - Fluffal Owl. But that's not important right now."

"What you should be worrying about are my Wolf and my Tiger. Thanks to there being 2 Frightfurs out, they both get a boost of 600 each - which means my Wolf has 2600, and my Tiger has 2500. Which would be fine if it wasn't for this. My Wolf, because he used 3 materials, can attack you 3 times! Which adds up to... A total of over 8000 points between those four attacks! Wolf! Tiger! Show her to the exit!"

The Frightfur Tiger and the Frightfur Wolf leapt at Sarah with their combined 4 attacks, 3 of which are 2600 strong, and a fourth which is 2500. If nothing is done, Sarah loses, as the points total up to 10300 in damage! If she can stop 'one' attack, she is clear. If she can't however... It's curtains.

Sarah was amazed at Rintarro's monsters. She was not disappointed, as she was sent flying from the combined attacks.

After Rintarro's monsters vanished, Sarah sat up, rubbing the back of her head. "Wow! I never expected this result! You showed me alot!"

Rintarro laughed, going on over. "I told you I wouldn't hold back! And there you go! I did say you were in for a treat right at the start, after all! Well, there you go!" Rintarro was happy, seeming amused and proud of himself for following through.

Sarah would laugh childishly, before looking at the other girl. "Well I definitely can't wait to face you again." She took a card out of her pocket. "Here, you might find this useful. It's not anything as of yet, but if you place it in your main deck, it supposedly makes a monster that reflects your soul." There was currently nothing on the card, but it seemed to be a level 12 unnamed attribute.

"Consider it my gift to you."

Rintarro took a look at it, confused. "Well, that sounds interesting... I can't wait to find out what that monster will be... Mmm! ...Based on face value, holy heck is this probably strong... Heh..." Rintarro smiled eagerly. "Thanks, Sarah. I guess I can see you around?"
