Yu-Gi-Oh - OCxOC

Hey! ^^

This was a tournament. This was a big league kind of thing, and here the teen blew it. Acacia had just lost a match that would have put her in the semi finals... The orange haired teen couldn't feel more upset as she toyed with her deck lightly. All of her cards did wonderful, but her skills she guessed weren't up to par. "Ugh.." Acacia let that small noise of complaint slip from her mouth as she mindlessly made her way out. Not noticing that she was about to walk right into a stranger.

Jay was walking, happy about about winning his last duel. It was close, but he wiped out 2000 of his opponents life points with one blow to win the match. It put him in the semi-finals where he would face his toughest opponent yet. Somebody who he knew he probably couldn't beat.

He needed to find someone who knew who he was facing next. He needed to know so he was ready. Walking fast and not paying attention, Jay walked straight into a girl around his age with short orange hair.

"Oh, sorry about that!" Jay apologized.

Acacia gasped lightly as her cards scattered to the floor. Not again, she didn't want the back of her cards to be scratched up even more! "Uh, it's alright!" Acacia quickly placed a smile on her lips as she frantically started to pick her deck up. A blush was on the poor teen's face as she just quickly stood back up. Her green eyes looking over the person in front of her.

"Weren't you just in the Kiba tournament?" Acacia voiced her question as she fingered her deck lightly. A nervous habit she's had ever since she first got them.

Jay was about to bend down and help the girl pick up her cards, but she was so fast that he couldn't. He saw her blush and he flashed her a smile. He felt pretty bad about running into her.

"Yeah, I'm actually in the semi-finals now. I saw you dueling too. Am I right?" Jay asked. He saw the girl dueling earlier. He saw her lose in her last match. He knew her style was much different from his own.

Acacia only gave a small nervous laugh at that. Her own smile shrinking a little when she thought about her lost. However, she didn't let that get her down as she nodded quickly.

"Yeah, actually I was." Acacia admitted to the fact that she was a competitor as her fingers quickly shuffled her deck without her notice. "I kinda lost through..." The girl's body shifted slightly as she stopped her random shuffling.

Jay could tell that the girl was very nervous. She kept moving her deck around and fidgeting with around.

"That's okay. I almost lost my match too. I doubt I'll win this next match though, " Jay replied. "I'm actually trying to figure out who my next opponent is, but I probably don't have time for that anymore. My match will be soon."

Acacia only nodded and gave a small smile. Her body kept shifting slightly as she tried to remember just what time it was. Shaking it off, however, Acacia gave a few words of encouragement.

"Well, there's five other duelist and a few seem rather weak. Your deck will do just fine." The orange haired girl gave a kind smile as she held out her hand and replied. "My name's Acacia, by the way."

Jay stuck his hand out and shook Acacia's hand with a firm grip. "I'm Jason, but you can call me Jay. Nice to meet you." Jay smiled back.

"I hope I can win though. My dragons are ready for whatever is coming. I am too. I should head to the waiting room. I'll be up soon."

Acacia nodded as she gave a quick shake of her hand. "Nice to meet you too, Jay." She gave a large welcoming smile before taking her hand back.

"Alright," The green eyed girl replied quickly as she started to walk past Jay once more. Only stopping once more to look over her shoulder at him. "You should come duel me when you're done with the tournament." Smiling, Acacia only turned back around as she left the arena.

Jay looked back at her and returned the smile shouting, "You can count on it!"

Jay was sad that he didn't have time to learn about his next opponent. Yet, he was happy. He had made a new friend, which was worth more than winning.

Jay made his way to the waiting room and saw a tournament official who was decked out in black wearing sunglasses was waiting. He looked angry, but nobody ever knew if those guys were ever actually mad. They always looked the same.

Jay sat down and waited for his opponent to show up.

(OOC: Do you want to control my opponent? I don't care who wins.)

(OOC: Sure, I'll try my best!)

Jay's next opponent showed up quickly enough. He was a tall teen with black straight hair, his eyes were a dark blue color. Whoever this guy was, he looked rather intimidating with his dark clothing and tall frame.

"Are you ready?" The question was the only thing he actually said as he pulled out his deck. "I'll beat you like I did with the last loser." A smirk was on this guy's face as the announcer introduced him.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce you to Vincent Hawthorne and his opponent Jay Wright!" The crowd was cheering loudly as they prepared to see the battle.

Jay went out with the official and his opponent. His opponent was identified as Vincent Hawthorne. Jay had heard his name before and the dude was scare. Yep, I'm screwed.

Jay stood at his side of the field. Thanks to new technology by Kaiba Corp., there were now holographic projections of every card. It was the epitome of cool. At least in Jay's eyes.

Due to being on the top part of the bracket, Jay had to go first. The announcer gave them the signal to begin and they both drew their cards. Jay felt he had a decent deck. His family didn't have a ton of money, so it wasn't easy to get new cards. However, he had some pretty deadly combos.

Jay had 4 monsters and a trap card in his hand. He drew during his draw phase and received a spell card.

"I summon Baby Dragon!" Jay said while setting down his card. The orange dragon appeared on the field. Some of the fans scoffed at the weak dragon.

"I lay down one card and equip my Baby Dragon with Dragon Shield!" A silhouette of a large dragon surrounded Baby Dragon. It made it so Baby Dragon couldn't be destroyed and Jay would receive no damage from battles involving it. "I end my turn." Jay had laid down the trap card "Dust Tornado."

Vincent only looked down as he drew his cards. He had three monsters, a spell, and two trap cards right off the back. His face didn't reveal the secret plan the teen was forming in his head as he showed his first summon.

"I summon Archfiend Soldier." Just as Vincent said that, a demonic looking monster appeared onto the field. A few people looked scared as the soldier crossed its arms.

Vincent, however, remained composed as he continued on with his turn. "I lay down two face down cards and I end my turn." The dark male had placed down Mystical Space Typhoon and Ring of Destruction.

Jay scrunched his brow as he was thinking. This guy was intimidating. He had an amazing poker face that gave nothing away. Jay dreamed of being able to do that.

Jay drew a card and saw that it was Mystical Space Typhoon. He quickly worked everything in his mind and devised a plan.

"I activate dust tornado and choose to destroy the card on the right!" Jay announced.

Vincent frowned slightly as his face down card was revealed to be Mystical Space Typhoon. He watched as his card was destroyed and sent to the grave yard before his eyes. "Damn it." Vincent mumbled this under his breathe.

Jay grinned when he realized he broke Vincent's poker face. He was getting to him somewhat.

"Now I activate Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your other card!" It turned out to be Ring of Destruction. "Thanks to Dragon Shield, you can't use that card on Baby Dragon!" Jay watched the card's hologram shatter.

Jay looked at his hand and he didn't have any cards that were strong enough to defeat Archifend Soldier. 1900 ATK points was a lot. He looked at his hand again and a card caught his eye.

"I summon Exploder Dragon and attack Archifend Soldier!" The two monsters attacked each other, but the dragon's hologram shattered. However, Exploder Dragon began to glow for a second and Archifend Soldier also shattered.

"Even though Exploder Dragon only has 1000ATK points, his special ability makes it so any monster that it battles is destroyed. It also negates all life point damage! Now, Baby Dragon! Attack directly!"

(OOC: How many life points are we using? 2000, 4000, or 8000?)

(OOC: 4000 if that's okay!)

Vincent stayed calm as he watched the small dragon attack him. The clear sound of his life points running out was ringing in his ears. Damn it, I only have 2800 left...

The crowd cheered for Jay as he damaged the dark teen.

(You can't activate trap cards from your hand. They have to be on the field for a turn.)

(It's okay, I understand. The game has some complex rules. Just a few reminders I guess.

*only quick-play spells can be played during the opponents turn

*Levels 5-6 monsters require 1 tribute. Levels 7+ require 2 tributes. I'm sure you understand special summoning

I hope that helped. Sorry if I'm coming across as a know-it-all or anything of the sort. Just trying to help.)

"It's your turn now. I hope you have something good now," Jay said, more confident than he expected. He was proud of his last turn, thinking that he made a good move, but failed to realize that he now had three monsters in his hand. Not good. He also noticed that he had top-decked out of luck. Don't think like that. That's how you'll lose.

(Oh no it's fine! I use to play the game all the time til my brother broke my ds so I've forgotten the rules... ^^" So this really helps me a lot!)

Vincent only nodded as he drew his next card out gracefully. "I draw." Looking down at his cards, the teen started to think as he looked through his hand.

Picking up one card, Vincent showed it Jay slowly as he said "I summon Opticlops to the field." The large one eyed horned troll soon came out onto the field. As the creature did, it laughed darkly before cracking it's knuckles. The crowd looked horrified as Vincent continued. "I'll place two cards face down, and end my turn."

The teen had placed down Negate Attack and Call Of The Haunted. Vincent was planning on ending this duel with one single turn.

Jay stared in awe at the giant Opticlops. It was pretty scary, but didn't effect Jay. He needed to come up with a plan.

He drew his next card and saw it was another monster card. His hand now consisted of four monster cards. He had to come up with something, or he was in trouble.

He currently held Element Dragon, Dragon Ice, Luster Dragon, and Twin Headed Behemoth. Something had to work.

"I summon Luster Dragon and attack Opticlops!"
