Yozis and what to do with them

What to do with the Yozis?  You have at least 32 pissed off Titans, each more powerful than any god in Yu-Shan, locked up in Malfeas plotting to take back Creation.  They each have around 30 Third Circle Souls, each with their own agenda, and each of them have around 7 Second Circle Souls, each with their own agenda, and each of them have spawned innumerable Third Circle Races, some with their own agenda.

The problem with the Yozis is that there are too many power players.  I mean, a single Second Circle Demon is a foe worthy of an experienced Terresitrial Circle while a Third Circle Demon, much less a Fetish, is the match of an experienced Solar Circle.  In some ways, the forces of Malfeas make too good of enemies.  Their arguments have a point.  They were the urlars of Creation until their treacherous servants overthrew them with the help of their two treacherous siblings (if the Yozis ever escape, Autochton is dead.  Gaia may be able to survive, she is key to keeping Creation around, but Autochton will die a slow and horrible death).

My question is how do you handle the Yozis and their servants?  I personally tended to avoid sending them after my players (if I can kill a Solar with a Heroic Mortal, I don't want to even see what will happen when a Second Circle Demon goes after one), but that's just me.

unless my players bring them down on themselves I mostly ignore Malfeas untell they have about 200 xp then well I get to have fun.

Yes, most higher circle demons, and the Yozi themselves are more than a "match" for a group of players -- but only if you're view of a challenge is so narrow that it only includes combat.

So what if the forces of Malfeas are overwhelmingly powerful? They can be thwarted, if not defeated.

I use the demons to fuck with my players. I use them to mislead, manipulate, and sometimes even help the players. It's great fun.

Also, remember that not every demon roaming Creation is working for the Yozi. In fact, most of the ones you're likely to encounter are under the thrall of a sorceror.

You've propably noticed, like so many of us have, how extremely powerful foes fall by the hero's hand.  They tend to use less force just to keep the fight going, even playing with the heroes and killing them slowly (which, of course, they never manage to actually do).

A demon of the second circle might consider himself to be far more powerful than the heroes, regardless of repeated warnings not to go easy on them.  Because of that, the demon would most likely attack them, perhaps not killing them, then letting them go just to play with their fears.  He may let them go for the time being so that they will fear him even more next time they meet.  Of course, by that time, the heroes have managed to come up with a plan that might defeat the demon if they all work together (the teamwork cliché).

Technically, a group of Solars, even if they are roughly beginners, should be powerful enough to defeat a second circle demon, although they will have to be able to work together.

When it comes to the Yozi.  Capital Y, just like capital M for the Malfeans.  I tend to reserve them for groundbreaking plot points.  In essence these things are analgous to the Malfeans dreaming thier dead dreams deep beneath the Underworld.  Keep in mind both entities literally created entire worlds upon thier deaths/imprisonment so its not exactly suprising that these once primordials are a little on the tough side.  One thing to keep in mind about the demon kind is that they were absolutely defeated.  Not just "destroyed" but forced to change thier very nature in order to be exploited by the Gods and Exalted.  The twilight in my game has bound a dozen or so 1st circle demons as well as a single 2nd circle guardian.  Demons have been forged into tools for the gods and its this 'injustice' that drives many of them to rebel against creation.  Demons are good foes because they have a compelling reason for what they do and they must work with in the confines of thier limited form.  If the Yozi could they would rend across creation and shatter YuShan, but they can't, thier prisoners both to thier world and thier form.

Is there any reason why you specified Yozi with capital Y and Malfeans with capital M?  You do realize there's no such thing as yozis and malfeans?  The only ones that exist are with capitals in the first letter.

Sorry, it just struck me as odd.
