Background: Andre grew up with his mother. His parents split up when he was just a baby and he grew up not knowing his father. His mother threw herself into work and hobbies, and never dated again. Andre loves and cares for his mother. He is very much a mama's boy and isn't ashamed of this. His mother strongly emphasized academics and had him learning his entire life. His mother was extremely proud when he received his acceptance letter to Hogwarts, and sends him letters weekly with their owl.

Disadvantages: In order to not appear like a know-it-all, Andre often does or says things that are stupid. Teachers have noticed that his school work and demeanor don't match.

He settled with a job as a Hogwarts professor and married his high school sweetheart Sarah eventually having a child. However, they had a bitter divorce which led to Harry not being able to his child. It would be 16 years later when he received an owl message from his ex staying that his child had enrolled.


Skills:Charm spells, capable flyer and Quidditch tactical knowledge.


Disadvantages:Can get easily side tracked in class, chatting with students about irrelevant things.

Personality: She isn't exactly friendly. Most people avoid her due to her fierce and sarcastic attitude. But she is extremely loyal to her friends that she does manage to make. She would be describe by her friends as brave, loyal, stubborn and rash. Her bravery can be found going to a fault. She'll throw herself into the heat of battle without really thinking about it. She's a loner, which worries some of the professors around the school.

Family: My father is dead. He died of leukemia last year. My mum is a cardiologist...Thats a heart doctor.


Background: If my story was different from what you've heard a hundred times, I would gladly tell you. But it isn't.


I was born to muggle parents, Teresa and Paul Kaulia. Not much special about either of them. Dad was an author and mum a cardiologist. One day a parchment paper letter arrived in the mail, delivered by an owl, a beautiful black and white speckled owl. In that letter, I was invited to Hogwarts. I had always felt out of place in the Muggle world, so... I took the chance, and never regretted it.


Sure the grading system still doesn't make any sense to me, I still have mediocre grades due to this damned Muggle ADHD, and my Potions teacher seems to particularly hate ME. But ya know what? I don't care. The place that stumbled upon me, is a beautiful and magical place.


It's home.

Personality: Rather impulsive and opinionated. Not afraid to stand up for herself when crossed. Often appears to others as rash, quick-tempered and sometimes cold to people who don’t know her. Actually very sensitive and nervous around people she doesn't know, takes small things to heart and easily offended however brushes it off on the surface. Honest to the point of seeming cruel but loyal, clever, viewed as somewhat eccentric by other Slytherins because of her family’s interest in muggle technology and quirky nature. If she had a choice, she'd rather be down by the Lake or in a hide away somewhere quiet with a book instead of the noisy crowded common room.

Family: Donovan is an Irish pureblood family which has always had an uncommon interest in the muggle world (sport, technology, politics). They have often held position of power within the government as an adviser to the Heads of State or departments, providing a voice for wizards in a muggle world where they are still invisible. Considering her family’s close workings with muggles they still have prejudices against muggles, however not to the extent of other purebloods. Her father’s current job is keeping the current President of Ireland informed and is stationed in Department of Muggle Relations.


Her mother (Almeda) is from the Lovegood pureblood family presumably Irish in heritage, this is where everyone assumes she gets her eccentric personality and curiosity.


Background: Her mother died in a flying accident when she was a 14, since then her father has put a ban on flying in the family grounds and refuses to let her try out for a Quidditchteam. She has had a fear of flying embedded in her but she longs for her one time passion. After her mother died her father became very withdrawn, drowning himself in his work and firewhiskey. Her mother taught her to be respectful and honest, to love nature. When her mother died, Regan withdrew from most and with her father isolating himself she has been very lonely at home, preferring to stay at Hogwarts during the holidays.


Skills: Inventive, skilled in charms and focuses on offensive magic. Has a way with magical creatures.


Disadvantages: Hard to get close to. Takes things to heart, may hold grudges for long time afterwards. Quick to jump into a situation and to conclusions without all the details. Nosey.


Hobbies: Spends her free time practising offensive/defensive spells. Practises using spells in surprising ways to catch out her opponent. A surprisingly talented flyer for someone who is terrified of height and everything to do with flying but would never try out for a team. Enjoys spending time with all creatures, magical or non-magical.

Though, she makes sure to keep some distance with people because she enjoys keeping her private life…well, private. She thinks a lot, and is pretty smart, but has a bad opinion of herself. Also, she cries quite easily, but has good resistance to pain. Plus, Heidi is easily scared unless she’s with someone, and is flustered by handsome and pretty people. She doesn't get attached to people very fast, making is easy for her to leave them, or not too hard for her when someone leaves her life. She sometimes does break some rules, but that's a secret.~ Secretly a romantic.

Family: Used to live with her parents, Balthazar Sullivan and Violet Winter and her six siblings; two sisters and four brothers. She was adopted. She's also the niece of Harry Sullivan.


Background: Born in Korea, but adopted at the age of two, she has always lived a pretty normal life. That is, until she received a letter from “Hogwarts, the school of magic and wizardry”. At first, herself and her family thought it was all a joke, but when more letters kept coming, Heidi understood and she left for her new life. There, being chosen as Ravenclaw wasn't such a surprise; in her family, as a kid and teen, education was a very important things. Thus, her parents always had her do some supplementary work to stimulate her memory and brain. Also, Since she rarely feels any attachment towards people, her departure was easy and she prefers to stay at Hogwarts for Holidays.

Personality: Goofball. Class clown, but not a bad kid in classes. The worst he's ever done is talk to his neighbors during study hall... Oh, and that one time he snuck into Hogsmeade, but once he got there he felt so guilty about it, that he snuck back to the castle. He is a genuinely nice guy, but that normally gets overshadowed by his common hang out, Johanna Kaulia. He does his best to annoy her and get her to open up to other people. He tends to act as her conscience, if she is having trouble making big decisions, she's talking to him.


Appearance:

Blood status: Pureblood, but most people don't know it.


Wand Type: 9'' Oak, Unicorn hair core.


Family: Dad says my mum died having me.. Which makes me sad when I think about it, but dad says that wherever she is, she's happy to see I've grown up so well. My brother, Colin, he left Hogwarts a few years ago.


Background: Well, my life was fairly normal. Not Muggle normal, but wizarding world normal. I started learning how to fly a broomstick when I was like five. It was a bad idea, yes. But hey, I'm on the quidditch team now! My classes are fairly simple, except Potions, because Potions. Dad did not warn me enough about Potions class.

Disadvantages: being raised so far from magic, still has trouble grasping concepts that those raised with magic would know

Personality: Friendly, caring, courageous and loyal, but not outgoing (kind of a loner too). Doesn't have many friends. Calm, smart, always seems to have the answer to any problem. Always smiling, never down or anything. Always there to help. Kinda proud, so she doesn’t like to be embarrassed in public or be unprepared (probably the reason why she always seems to have the answer to anything). Absolutely NOT curious. Like, not at all. It can sometimes insult some people… Loves curious things such as dragons, muggle things, cats and cute things. Also, stays cold-blooded in any situation.

Personality: Grey is a little crazy as most would say, he always seems to been keen on making potions and trying them on people, but all around he seems to be a little nuts when it comes to potions, most kids call him a mad scientist the first year they see him or just talk to him, he enjoys torturing his first year students but all older kids know hes a pretty chill guy other than hes a little mad. Grey seems to be a very nice, calm guy who loves kids even though his past is sketchy he still seems to be a nice guy with a heart of gold. Grey would do anything for his students, he loves all the kids and acts like a kid most of the time and likes to hang out with kids a lot or just get to know kids. If anything is wrong, go see Grey, he always seems to cheer kids up with helpful advice or just by making them smile. When it comes to protecting them, that's when he gets serious..

Family: Not much is known about Grey other than most of his family are in Askaban or dead, what is known is that he has a kid, but no one knows where it is or who the mother is.


Background: Grey was born to a family of potion makers, only problem was they made bad potions, very bad ones that they used a lot and sold to bad people, most of Grey's family were evil, some were normal like him, most of greys past is secret and most teachers and kids know nothing of his past other than he grew up to a standard of potion making, bad thing was he was surrounded by bad people. Grey was in Askaban for many years for unknown reasons, that's why he has a Blackthorn wand which is mostly used by deatheaters or people who were prisoners of Askaban, but there must be a story behind his jail-time because you just don't get sent to Askaban for nothing plus being there sent Grey a little mad. However, most teachers know that he was sent and had a false accusation set on him so he is truly not a bad guy, but he does not tell the kids that. Most of Greys past will be slowly uncovered through the story.

Disadvantages: Quidditch is not his strong suit, Cant talk to women his age, Seems to be a Tad bit crazy.

Personality: Shane is a pretty reserved guy, he is friendly and caring and all but he has trust issues and seems to be quiet most of the time but once you get to know him hes a really nice guy who tends to be really nice a goofy, he loves music as well so that's a plus. But Shane does have his dark side and can be pretty down on some things but really once you get to know him he is a really good guy. Shane loves to hug people but never says anything about it. He is really hard to get to know at first but once he opens up, he does, hes not a really huge love guy and does not really now how to flirt and always seems to hang with girls but never steps forward and does something serious like get in a relationship, no one understands why but he does not really tend to look for relationships.

Background: Not much is known from Shane's past, All that is known is his mother died from a bad accident as his father had told him, at a young age Shane was taught magic and flying, his father loved him dearly and helped him and his brother each step, but every step Shanes brother was always better, Shane was never loved as much as his brother and a lot of times his dad and brother would leave him alone to go on flying lessons and such, then when Shane hit 11 it all changed, his brother went missing and he was leaving for Hogwarts, now shane is the only thing his dad has left so he now pays more attention to him. Not much is known about Shanes brother other than his name was Shawn and he went missing 6 years ago on a warm stormy night.


Skills: Great Flyer, good at magic all around, good at being sneaky, Can take a punch


Disadvantages: Bad at potions and dark arts classes, Bad in big crowds, Seems to be lonely a lot

Personality: Grace is normally really outgoing. She likes to get up in your face and make you uncomfortable. She, honeslty, isn't very nice. Grace knows that she is a little mean and so do her friends. They are all okay with it. She loves to tease people and bring up things that are taboo.

Family: Her family is pure blood, but was disgraced when her father had an affair with a muggle. Grace lives with her mom and has only seen the illegitimate child once. Her father ran off with both of them.


Background: Grace used to be depressed and hurt because of her father's betrayal, but being weak isn't her style, so she decided to hide the feelings she doesn't like. That's pretty much it.


Skills: she is very good at divination and everything psychic, and she studies the dark arts in secret.


Disadvantages: she isn't very personable, and accidentally pushes away anyone she likes.

Personality: Lauren is Irene's older twin (from 3 minutes). More calm and reserved when she's alone, doesn't seem very strong at first sight but be careful if you underestimate her. Even though she seems strict and cold, she's caring and a very good teacher, which get her student's liking. She also is very competitive too, especially with her sister. She'd do anything to protect her students/family, and she's very loyal. Always staying after class to help students, she mastered the art of transfiguration and can thus transfigurate into several animals.

Personality: Ember is not what you would originally expect out of a pure-blood Slytherin student. Because of her family she had the qualities of Gryffindor's bestowed on her from her birth, making her exceptional loyal and brave; however, she wasn't sorted into Slytherin by chance. Ember had always been fascinated by the Slytherin household. Ember is clever and cunning, and loves to play practical jokes on her housemates. She is quite friendly and outspoken, but also quick to temper. And if you do happen to cause her anger, beware. Although Ember tries to refrain from being rude most of the time, when she's angry she aims to hurt. She believes that a few well chosen hurtful words will leave a much more lasting impact than a right fist, and so she is careful to dig as deep as she can and will make sure to mention your flaws, but mostly your insecurities.

When Ember was sorted into the Slytherin house she was surprised and slightly ashamed, but also very ecstatic. Over a hundred years and she's the first to break the tradition. Her family, although slightly disappointed, were happy for Ember.

Name: Nautius Parkinson


House: Slytherin


Age: Tail end of 16


Year: Sixth


Personality: Shy, reserved, and scrupulously polite. He seems a bit ... off, as though he doesn't really understand the import of what's going on around him. He's quiet and bookish and honestly seems more like a Ravenclaw than a Slytherin. He also seems to have the confidence of a flobberworm and the winning charm of a blast-ended skrewt. Despite this, he's extremely ambitious... though what his precise ambitions are are unclear.


Appearance: Before his fourth year, Nautius was called "Nyssa" and used female pronouns. He's been using magic to try to alter his appearance, but he's still short and girlish-looking. He's got the family jaw, which helps- it's square and he has a bit of an overbite- but his figure is lean and his eyes are large, and his hands are small. His hair's black and feathery, and his eyes are brown. He's very pale, and has dark circles under his eyes. He wears the Slytherin robes over- surprisingly- muggle clothes; he tends towards large sweaters and jeans.


Blood status: Pureblood.


Wand Type: Unicorn hair and oak, eight inches, inflexible.


Family: The Parkinsons. Rather nasty pureblood family, speculated to have troll blood; Nautius is probably a second cousin of Pansy. His family, immediate and extended, doesn't know about his gender status, and he's not telling them.


Background: Pureblood, oldest of five children, Nautius grew up in a cold and emotionally numb home. His parents thought he was a Squib, as he seemed to have no gift for magic, and they were all utterly surprised when his letter came. Hogwarts has honestly been an escape for him- he stays at school over the holidays, buries himself in his studies, and goes home as little as possible.


Skills: Has a real gift for transfiguration. Good at his studies. Interested in muggle studies, and has somehow acquired a few muggle science books. Passionate, ambitious, and determined.


Disadvantages: Due to long years of emotional abuse and neglect, Nautius is constantly second-guessing himself and assuming that he's stupid, clumsy, and unloved. He tries to sustain himself without any help from other people, which is a very good way to get yourself in trouble. Really really bad at charms and defense against the dark arts, almost notoriously so.


Hobbies: Gobstones, Muggle music, reading, playing the viola.

Personality: Classic Rock enthusiast. Genderfluid, they/them/ themselves pronouns. A bit snide, genuinely caring about the way things are run in the Wizarding World. Always pointing out weird inconsistencies. Kind of melancholy, like maybe they're in mourning despite no recent tragedy. Has had depression for so long that they're kinda... Like, nah, the constant sadness and self-deprecation has gone on so long they're all desensitised. They don't swear much, but when they do it's wildly out of proportion and fucking hilarious. Occasionally gets animated when things don't make sense. Their parents own a gardening center, like the ones in suburban Pennsylvania.


Appearance: African American, turned their hair red and gold spotted to go with the Apple thing because if anything Roma loves, it's consistency. Tallish, round face and joints and wide hips and chubby thighs. Speaks with a slight Western New York accent, made more conspicuous by being in an English school like an asshole.


Blood status: Muggleborn


Wand Type: Phoenixfeather core, Applewood, Ten inches, springy.


Family: The McLeans are simple, All-American people that grew up in the Classic Rock Renascence and moved to Britain to let their weirdo kid attend a good old scholarship school. Kinda weirded out by this magic nonsense, but also weirded out by brits in general.

Skills: Good at reciting Rolling Stones trivia and... Uh. Proficient in Wizarding History, and has a talent for Defense against the Dark Arts. Also unfortunately knows a few of the Dark Arts themselves.

Personality:


Ergo is an incredibly irresponsible teacher, and one of the youngest DATDA teachers to date. Why the headmaster accepted him into the school is beyond him and many others, but it is what currently stands, and he's trying to make the best of it. He is a fairly nice guy, albeit a bit stubborn, and is rather skilled with a wand. He also has a smart mouth, and most of the older teachers hate him, despite him doing his best.

Ergo worked as an Auror for a few months after graduating, but found that the job didn't fit him and decided to apply for the defense against the dark arts teaching role, even though it was unlikely he'd be accepted. Oddly enough, the headmaster gave him the word, and so begins his teaching career! A lot of screw ups are in his future!


Skills: Magical Combat, Knowledge of most magical creatures, physically stable: can run for long periods of time,


Disadvantages: Pretty much everything else.


Hobbies: Ergo enjoys reading, brewing, and a guilty pleasure of his, knitting. What a weirdo.

Personality: Considering her work with magical creatures, she is a gentle soul who has unlimited patience when it come to the creatures. Not so much with students as she demands utmost respect shown to the creatures. once there is no trouble in her class, she is a fun teacher, often making jokes with the students and more than once has been inclined to listen in to the gossip. Friendly with the students, she readily offers advice for any problem. As much as she enjoys the other teachers and students company, she is often spotted flying among the tops of the Forbidden Forest, dropping below the tree-line for hours at a time. No one quite knows the grounds like her.


Appearance: Platinum blonde hair that falls to her elbow without a kink, slender figure just under 5'7". With pale skin and aquamarine blue shining eyes, she has a striking appearance that seems almost fairy like.


Blood status: Unknown.


Wand Type: 12.5" with unicorn hair, ash.


Family: Unknown. Orphaned very young. No records of her birth or parents. Adopted from a foster home at the age of three, she was taken in by a muggle family and raised as such.


Background: Raised by a muggle family, they had no idea of her magical abilities. When she was alone, magical creatures such as fairies used make themselves known to her. Her family played it off as an overactive imagination. As she got older, she yearned towards forests where bigger creatures appeared to her. Ministry officials found her as a ten year old, surrounded by fairies while doing a routine check on the magical creatures population in that area. Confirming she was indeed a witch, they searched for records but were left scratching their baldy chins with no idea who she was. After Hogwarts, she spent 11 years traveling around the world, studying various creatures ranging from the household pests Doxy, to wild and dangerous Dragons, a troll here and there. She enrolled in a muggle university at the age of 28 to study muggle creatures and anatomy for 3 years before applying for the teaching role back at Hogwarts.


Skills: Knowledgeable in both magical and non magical creatures, flying, potions, people skilled.
