"Hey! Andre!" She smiled at the Ravenclaw and chuckled a bit. "So you saw us? The ride was amazing; it was pretty nice being up here with the sky full of stars and the wind in my hair. I listened to music, and every song seemed to be the right one." She smiled as she thought about it, but then blushed when she realized she got caught in her reverie. "How was yours?" She asked, also interested. She noticed the way he seemed to be around Johanna a lot, but kept it to herself -for now. Whe wouldn't have wanted to seem too indiscrete.

Regan said her goodbyes and headed towards the Slytherin table. Spotting some familiar faces that she, well she kind of, knew she sat down next to them noticing that she was sitting close enough to Grace. Grinning after what happened between them on the train she gave a small wave over before impatiently waiting for the sorting to start so they could eat already.

Harry walked into the hall behind the kids, watching them as the found their seats in the table before walking towards the teachers tables in back. He crossed his fingers as he did, hoping that tonights feast included that delicious queens putting. However he was also worried, as he had make pleasantries with his colleagues. He hated that, he loved talking with kids and teenagers but something about talking to people his age they just rub eachother the wrong way. He grinned and barred it thought greeting the headmaster first then the rest of the teachers as he past them before finding a seat between two collegues.

"Professor Grey."He said cheerful greeting the teacher to his left as he sat. He turned to the teacher to the right, feeling a cold chill from him by the mere sight. Professor Von Blutong right? Or was Van Blutang?"

"It was nice. Really enjoyable." Andre answered genuinely. He talked with the others around them, as the Great Hall slowly filled up with excited students. He saw several familiar faces and even some that he swore he had never seen before. He looked up at the teacher's table to see that most of them had sit down already.

With the Great Hall finally filled up, and the students were sitting at their respective tables, the Headmistress stood up to speak. "Welcome, students and Professors for another year at Hogwarts!" She started. "I would like to remind all students that the Forbidden Forest is in fact forbidden. Keep that in mind when roaming the grounds. Also note that attendance in classes will be counted toward participation in class, so no skipping History of Magic." She added, the History professor nodding in agreement. "With that, let the sorting begin." She smiled and motioned to the back of the hall. The students watched as the first years were sorted into their houses. The split was fairly even this year with just a few more students going to Ravenclaw. The student's tables cheered as their new members joined them. The Headmistress once again stood up to speak. "I wish you all the best of luck with your year. For now, let's eat!" She exclaimed. With that, the platters on the table were suddenly full of food, and the students started to eat their fill.

Shane watched them all part ways and sighed he went and sat down in an open seat, he sat next to a red headed girl who he had no clue who she was and to his other side an empty seat that he hoped Rosy would sit in unless she sat with her friends which would suck for Shane. Shane sighed and sat down put his head in his arms not really caringnmuch for the food, he was tired, today was a pretty eventful day and he just wanted it to end now, he was just tired and not hungry for a kid who had not ate all day, he looked pretty sad but he was not really, he was sitting next to the red headed girl more because he never had seen her before and he knew nothing about her, plus she was the only person who had free seats around her so he sat there deep in thought again not really paying attention to the girl who he sat next to he was also saying something but it was too hard to hear what he was saying. Shane listened to the headmistress and then looked at the food awkwardly.

Grey looked at the other teacher it was Harry, he had no clue who the guy was 2 seats to the right, Grey had a huge smirk on his face as he thought thoroughly about what he would do for the first years this year when he spoke to Harry it showed, he had and evil gleam in his crazy eyes "Professor Harry and other professor I don't know, im developing a plan!" Grey states watching over all the first years practically drooling, Grey was not really one for talking to other Professor s bexause he was always an oddball in there eyes plus most teachers did not trust a man who had been to Azkaban but greys caring level was pretty low for them, he acted like a kid so talking to him was fine, unless you spoke of potions or he just went mad like he did sometimes, Grey's cogs in his brain began to turn round and round as he thought of an ingenious plan.

"Oh. Do you now?"Harry said non chalantly taking a dip from his goblet. In truth, he was taken a back by the sudden announcement and the gleam in grey eyes made him worry slightly. Though the fact that Grey had spend time in Azkhaban didnt bother Harry in a logical sense but instict told him otherwise not so much for Grey having done some thing to go to Azkhaban but rather that he has been there. Judging by the horror stories there, it was more likely to drive a person insane rather then rehabilitate."Is this having to do with teaching or some sort of personal project?"

"Not sure....think I might freak out the first years and my other years by drinking a polyjuice potion I have the perfect person to turn into, I stole hair from a quite disgusting fellow on my travels here, I have so many ideas for these wondrous kids" Grey says happily starring over the wide variety of kids he was ready to teach them all potions, maybe even a little too excited about it, grey was a bit crazy but that's what made him a good teacher, plus he amazing abilities in potion making, he may have went to Azkhaban but he was an amazing potion maker and teacher so he couldent be that bad. Grey continued to plan, though It was a bit weird that he took hair from a random guy he did not know.

Rosy, who entered the Great Hall with Regan and Heidi, walked to the Gryffindor table. She sat next to Shane, and, next to him, was seated Johanna -it would have been pretty hard not to see her, with her beautiful flamboyant hair. ''Hello again, I guess.'' she said both of them with a smile on her face. ''Oh! Was this place for someone? 'Cause I can sit elsewhere if it's already taken'' she asked.

"Polyjuice...Disgusting fellow?" Harry asked bemused by the idea, he tried to figure out what line of thought would make Grey do that. It was a futile attempt but at least the plan was harmless. He smirked and the called him immature."Well, i heard students doing pranks on teachers but....You reasoning behind this plan is?"

AJ immediately perked up, and started to dig into what was immediately in front of him, so much food disappeared into the hole in his face. He tried to keep up conversation, but ended up just eating in silence.

Johanna, however, didn't dig in, or even attempt to, she simply sat by herself, then after getting up, she slowly slipped out of Great Hall, and up the Grand Staircase. Once she was sure she couldn't be seen easily, so she breathed out and sighed. Slowly, feathers sprouted from her skin. Her bones crunching and twisting under her skin, shrinking and crunching. Soon, all the remained of Johanna was a cloak and an owl.

With a simple screech, the bird grabbed onto the cloak with it's beak and hopped onto the banister, then wing spread and it took off, flying up and around the many moving stairs. The 6th year found no greater joy then to fly around the school before the other kids got out of the feast.

Grey thought it through some more "No reason, just for some fun.. Im thinking I should pretend im a new teacher and Grey, which I will still be after the polyjuice wears off was sent back to Azkhaban, then teach a really boring lesson about something then, BOOM! I will be grey again and freak out the kids so much then ill start my first lesson about polyjuice, but for first years I have I different lesson plan, this is more for my 6th years and 5th." Grey explains looking around the room and slinking back in his chair, polyjuice was not that bad, just transforming into and out of hurt sooooo bad but Grey could withstand it enough to freak out the kids, grey was a really odd fellow.

Shane looked at Rosy and sighed hitting his head off the table a couple of times before he spoke "
Your fine.....I like you sitting here, I actually look like I have friends...that im not alone..." Shane says looking at all the First years, he probably looked so much like a loner but at least Rosy was there, he decided to eat when she sat down he felt comfortable when she was there so he ate.

"Not bad and i am always a fan on having fun in the expense of student but...I think your going about it the wrong way."He tried to say seriously but couldn't help but smirk at what he was going to say."Why bother with the pain of a polyjuice, were your mere presence and past would give the same reaction? Would work, and has, on me."

"But it is too easy and my later years already know me I believe, well I am new so maybe they won't, but I like the taste of polyjuice its so amazing" Grey says with a weird look on his face and a twisted smile,he had no clue how well the students knew him, plus he was new at the school so maybe it would work..

Throughout the festive meal in the Great Hall to celebrate the new school year, Stella was sitting across from Rosy, who was a grade higher than herself and one of the beaters on the Gryffindor quidditch team. Like herself, Rosy appeared to be a bit on the quite side and seemed to enjoy academics. However unlike Stella, she was a rich pure-blood and supposedly lived in a mansion in the English countryside. Because Stella was a middle-class half-blood who lived in a suburb fairly close to London and was a year younger, they never really had talked too much, however the lifestyle well associated with magic that Rosy appeared to have never stopped fascinating Stella who had grown up as a pure muggle, even after her five years at Hogwarts. The meal in the Great Hall at the beginning of a fresh school year was one of Stella's favorite times at Hogwarts, so she stepped a little outside of her usual comfort zone and made some lighthearted chatter with those around her. She couldn't wait for the new school year to start.

''Dude, You're not alone, Rosy said kindly to Shane. I'm your friend! Well, if you want me to be...''. Just before she started eating the beautiful and steaming plate of marvelous chicken, she noticed a cute-looking blond girl looking at her. She smiled at her, trying to remember her name. Too bad, she had no memory for that kind of things. Soon, the delicious scent of her plate caught her attention and she started eating.

Stella didn't realize she was staring at Rosy until she smiled at her. Stella blushed and grinned back, then turned her attention back to her delicious plate of food. Although the Great Hall was nothing from quiet, since food had been served out, the noise of people talking had been turned down a few notches, and the clink of utensils hitting plates was more prominent. As she devoured her food, Stella floated her attention in and out of conversations people around her were having. Across the room, she could see what looked like some of her teachers in discussion with each other, and before long, she was having a light chat herself with a few classmates around her.

"Well, whatever floats your boat as long as it doesn't harm that kids. Trust me it wont be the board of education you have to worry about if you do. Just saying here. "Harry said calmly and nonchalantly before getting truly stuck into his meal.

"I would never harm the kids, I love them so much and if I ever hur t them you can personally throw me out the window" Grey says looking down at his meal and diving in wholeheartedly, he couldent wait for the year to begin, other then the scaring part he wanted to meet all his kidsand talk to them all and such, he just was very happy.

Shane looked at Rosy and thought for a bit, maybe he needed friends, maybe he needed people like Rosy and Heidi and Reagan as long as they did not touch him he would be fine and dandy "
Don't know why you would want to be my friend..... but sure....why not....just don't tackle hug me or touch me...." Shane says in a quiet tone his earphones back around his neck when they got in the way of eating, he ate pretty slow but it was better to eat slowly, Shane couldn't helo but remember all the times they had all helped him, the girls that is....maybe he was not alone in this world.

Eventually the students had their fill of food, the food then changed to dessert and now the room was beginning to clear out. Prefects and Head Boys and Girls were guiding the new students to their common rooms and the elder students were expected in their common rooms within the next few hours. Students began to leave the hall, others lingered and chatted about the upcoming day of classes, but all and all the school was winding down for the night.

Andre stretched, feeling full to bursting. He never ate as much as he did during the opening ceremony. Just a means to celebrate, he guessed. He stood up from the table and looked around the room. The hall was mostly empty with just a few groups of students sticking around to talk. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and walked out of the hall. The castle was buzzing with noise. Students chatting as they went to their common rooms, staircases moving to help students and teachers get to where they needed to go. He walked out passed the entry way and turned toward the entrance to the courtyard. He walked out into the open air and sat down on the grass, leaning back and looking up at the stars.

Sam finished her food and looked around as the students around her left to go to their common room. The other tables had become pretty empty as well. She decided that she'd just turn in for the night. She walked toward the kitchen where the Hufflepuff common room was located. She tapped the barrels in their pattern and entered the den-like common room, that was always bright with the colors of her house. It was always warm in there, she liked it. She walked over to the couch in front of the fire and opened her book to read a bit before bed.

A single black owl could be seen resting upon a stone dragon's head. It's green eyes remained unblinking as it stared at a boy clad in blue, and hooted at him. Then it spread it's wings and flew to a different dragon, flying all around the courtyard , almost systematically. It flew around the boy for a short time, before it landed on piece of crumbled wall and stared some more. It hooted and shifted some, then tucked it's wings in and watched.

"Well hey little fella'." Andre said, looking at the owl. It was acting different from other owls he had encountered. "You're a lively one, aren't you?" He asked. He searched his pockets and came up with only a few coins. "Wish I had some food for you." He smiled at the bird.

The bird blinked, then several crunching sounds proceeded it, before the bird's head twisted to one side, and it began to swell. The sounds of bones crunching and shifting, feathers fading away to smooth skin. Wings growing longer, fingers extending outward. Soon Johanna was sitting on the, in a tank top and standard issue school skirt. "I think 'fella' is the wrong term." The red haired girl arched an eyebrow at him, then smiled and leaned forward, with her elbows resting on her knees, and tapped his nose."Hiii."

"I suppose it is." Andre chuckled lightly. "I didn't know you were an animegi." He said. "That's really cool. I've considered trying to learn myself but I have no idea what animal I'd go for." He smiled at Johanna.

"I see you looking wolf or dog. Maybe a raven for Ravenclaw. I almost chose lion. But that's not very stealthy is it? 'Theres a f***ing lion in the castle!',"she then held up a finger under her nose like a mustache, "Damn! They discovered me! And I'm so cleverly disguised...What? A lion? I see no lion..." She giggled.

Andre laughed for a little while. She really is something else. "I guess I could see that." He said, looking at her. "Maybe it's something I could work towards. Give myself a non school related goal." He smiled, enjoying this side of Johanna.
