Everyone has that one character you spent hours mulling over, trying to figure out the perfect back story or finding the best matching face claim or shaping the most complex personality. Which one was it? And why did you put so much effort/time into this character specifically?

Probably too many to mention here, but I suppose my proudest one so far is a "reboot" of an earlier version: Malador Vesci. Usually, when writing out my characters, I get inspired by music. Back in the day, Malador was my go-to character for medieval settings. Recently, though, I rediscovered Loreena McKennitt and realized how her music seems to tell beautiful, character-driven stories. So when I found

, I had a field day writing Malador!
As for the character I spent the most time with, that would arguably be Jerome. He's been around since I was a kid still learning the ropes of roleplay, when I was dealing with a fairly lonely life and wanted to be useful. Over the years, he grew and developed like I did, and my roleplays with him taught me a lot more than I'd expected. Though I only wrote his backstory recently, it basically recounts a lot of the RPs he's been in. Even now, he remains fairly similar in personality to how I created him long ago, albeit a lot more mature (understandable, given how young I was when I first used him).

Hello, good evening. I'm new here. My proudest character was one of the last ones I roleplayed with before joining this network. I created her to be very versatile so that she could easily adapt to any roleplay. I came up with the ideas behind her during a time that I was depressed and unhappy with myself. Basically the character was my polar opposite. It made for some very interesting roleplays.
