King in the North...King in the North...and once more, King in the North.
The sound of such words kept making echo on his head, and truth to be told, at such a young age, the young wolf was more concerned about pleasing his mother and keeping his family alive, than about being an actual king, in the North, or anywhere else.
Whilst he had proven to be smart enough to figure out clever plans for the battle field, he was struggling nonetheless to cope with all the blabling and royal manners, ladies and lords bowing, making and breaking alliances; faking smiles and pretending to care about the current gossips about who married who; so finally having a break for himself, was refreshing to say the least. The cold air filling up his lungs, and the all too familiar sounds of the woods made him feel like home, safe, even.
It wasn't hard for him to find his way through the forest and get into the most peaceful spots, where neither wolves nor shadow cats would creep over him, not that any of those would dare to get anywhere close him with his dyrewolf and eternal companion, but that was not quite the point, and if it came to that, he still had his sword.
A sudden noise caught his attention, and he couldn't help himself but trying to find the source. It didn't take long before he could figure it out. A shadowy form slowly became clear before his eyes. It was a woman. "Pardon me, mi'lady, but what's a maiden doing here in the woods at such ungodly hours? The old and the knew know, that it is quite dangerous to wander alone around here in times of war"
