So I'm thinking of starting off the RP at the JL Tenth Anniversary party and then have an extended flashback to 15 years ago.

I'm thinking the entire origin story can span a period of five years, from the Bialyan Civil War to the official signing of the Justice League's UN charter.

Okay, I started off the thread, but I need to get to bed so I left it there. I at least got us set up with the ship crashing in Bialya. In my next post I'll go into more detail about the after effects of this, but for now, everyone can post their main characters at the party or their mentors immediately after hearing about the ship crashing.

You could have Zatanna be the new host for the Helmet of Nabu and maybe her link with his spirit leads the Leaguers to learn about the Justice Society of the 1940s.

Pretty much any other mentor and sidekick are open at this point I think. Or you could have Zatanna being the sidekick of one of the/a new Dr. Fate(s)?

Yeah, that's fine, Succubi. I had mentioned Zatanna as a mentor before I realized you were no longer interested in Jinx, lol. As for Dr. Fate, it's up to you who you want to have under the helmet. Could be an older Kent Nelson, or could even be Giovanni Zatara -- Zatanna's father. Or if you want the mentor to be female as well, you could have Madame Xanadu or Queen Mera wear the helmet, or an entirely original character. What did you have in mind for your version of Fate?

I wrote the plot used in the TV show, where he sacrifices himself to it to save her.
