JD nods a little and kisses her nose. “Okay baby.” He urmurs and gets comfortable.

She smiled tiredly at him, turning the lights off and shut her eyes to try and get some rest.

JD falls asleep pretty quickly and holds onto her. He nuzzles his face in her neck.

She woke up several times throughout the night just worrying about him the whole time but eventually woke up properly when they were bringing him breakfast and she sat up, stretching out a bit. “I’m gonna go get coffee babe Alright?” She murmured and rubbed his arm gently.

JD looks over at her and nods. He takes her hand gently and kisses her knuckles. “I love you.” He murmurs and lets go, going back to eating.

She smiled at him before leaving him to it and made her way down to the canteen frowning some as she saw a young family together and felt a pang of jealousy. She wanted that but she knew it was more likely she would be always with just her and a child and wondering where Jorge was, if he was safe or not.

JD sighs softly and finishes. He puts the tray on the table and waits for her to come back. He reaches for her when she does and smiles a ther.

She smiled sadly at him a little and sat next to him. “You can go home this afternoon long as everything stays stable and whatnot.” She mumbled.

JD frowns and watches her. “You don’t sound too happy to have me home.” He murmurs and drops his arms. “What’s going on?”

She shook her head. “No baby I do want you home... it’s something else.” She murmured. “Don’t worry about it right now.” She told him quietly.

JD shakes his head and sits up. “Talk to me.” He murmurs softly and takes her hand gently. He laces their fingers together. “Please.”

She frowned and stayed quiet for a minute before finally saying anything. “How do kids fit in with the job you have? Your career is not exactly child friendly.” She mumbled.

JD frowns. “Lots of officers have kids Carmen. After this incident I’m probably not gonna be allowed undercover anymore or very rarely.” He tells her. “We can have kids.”

She frowned some and watched him. “I know we can but I just... it’s something that worries me a lot.” She mumbled as she fiddled with her nails a bit.

JD frowns and lets go of her hand. He sighs softly and looks down.

She watched the tv a little and just stayed quiet next to him, thinking about a lot of things all at the same time and just getting stressed out about it.

JD sighs and crosses his arms. He wanted to marry this women, hell he was supposed to propose last night and now she had doubts about things. He was scared she’d get too into her head and decide she didn’t want this after all.

“You wanna go back to yourself or mine today?” She asked him quietly and stood up to get some water real quick.

JD watches her and shrugs. “I’ll just go back to mine.” He mutters and lays back down. He turns over and sighs softly.

She nodded and gently rubbed his back some. “Alright. I’ll come stay tonight but I got work tomorrow... why don’t I come over after though and we can have tacos.” She smiled.

Jd nods a little. "Okay." He says simply. Soon they were having him sign the release papers and he got dressed. He heads to the car with her and gets in.

She frowned a bit now starting to worry she’d pissed him off as she drove him home, going inside with him and heading to take a quick shower.

Jd goes nad gets water and some grapes from the fridge. He sits at the kitchen table and checks his phone.

She came out in some pyjamas and sat next to him. “I love you. I’m sorry I get so in my head.” She mumbled.

Jd looks at her and shrugs. "Don't worry about it." He says softly and looks down at his hands. "I can't promise being with me is gonna be stress free with a nice picket fence and feeling safe all the time. I can't promise you won't have to worry about me or that I won't miss birthdays and even our kids being born and holidays. If you can't handle that. there's no reason to drag this out." He tells her and gets up, heading up to his room to get some rest.
