She just nodded at him a little and held onto him still, being careful she didn’t hurt him “You know I sleep awful anyway. I always need help getting to sleep.” She mumbled.

JD smiles a little and kisses her head softly. "Want me to turn on your white noise machine?" He asks softly and rubs her back softly.

She shook her head smiling st him tiredly. “I don’t think that’s going to do much right now.... but that feels nice.” She mumbled to him, relaxing under his touch and finally started drifting off again.

JD keeps rubbing her back and smiles. He makes sure she's fully asleep before stopping and going back to sleep himself.

She had to get up earlier than she’d wanted to on her birthday, leaving him a quick note that she would be back as soon as possible before chucking some clothes on and heading down to the precinct to help out with her client’s interview.

JD wakes up a few hours after her and stretches. He groans softly and rubs his eyes. He sees the note and smiles a little, going to get ready for the day.

She got back a little later than she had been planning to but set her bag down on his kitchen table and wandered through his house yawning some. “You home?!” She called a little louder but just shrugged and headed back up to bed. If he wasn’t there she was more than happy to go have a proper lie in on her birthday instead.

JD was out getting a cake and presents. He hadn’t had anytime being in the hospital. He gets home a few minutes after her and outs stuff up and gets to wrapping the presents.

She was still wearing a skirt and tights plus her usual white shirt while she was laying on top of the covers, snoring quietly, one heel still on and the other kicked off onto the floor but she had fallen asleep quickly once she lay down and hadn’t had time to kick the other one off.

JD heads upstairs after and sees her. He chuckles softly and pulls her other heel off. He puts them in the closet for her and covers her up with an extra blanket. He kisses her forehead and heads back downstairs.

She woke up closer to 11 this time and rolled over yawning before getting up and getting into comfier clothes for having a day off in, heading downstairs to the lounge after hearing JD in there with the tv. “Hey, Sorry, I fell asleep right after I got back.” She smiled and plopped down next to him.

JD smiles and pulls her in close. “It’s fine love.” He murmurd and kisses her head. “When are your parents getting here? I hope they like tres leache cake with strawberries cause I know that’s your favorite and that’s the cake I got.” He murmurs.

She grinned at him and slipped her arms around him tightly. “They’ll be in the city for about 2pm but they’re spending a few days here. So they’ll get settled into their hotel then call me when they’re ready to go out. You did have to get me a cake papí.” She murmured, kissing him gently. “Mmm... turning yourself into real hubby material right there.” She teased.

JD nods and rubs her side. He chuckles at the last comment. “I did have to get you one. It’s your birthday.” He murmurd and smiles. “I got presents too.” He murmurs snd ksises her siftly

She started blushing some and kissed him softly. “That one you definitely didn’t have to do. Having you home is more than enough.” She murmured to him softly, squeezing his hands gently

JD smiles and watches him. “I wanna spoil my girl.” He mjrmjrd and kisses her cheek. He leans back and watches the tv.

She smiled more at him and just curled up in his lap, resting her head on his shoulder while she held onto him a bit tighter. “I love you.” She murmured quietly.

JD smiles and wraps his arms around her gently. “I love you too.” He murmurs softly and kisses her head. He relaxes with her and rubs her back softly.

She smiled some falling asleep snuggled in close as possible until her phone eventually rang and she sat up to answer. “Hey momma... yeah sure... we can meet you for... 4 o’clock?” She asked her smiling at JD and gently rubbing his goatee, winking at him before agreeing and hanging up. “I’m gonna go get showered. You’re welcome to join.” She murmured to him.

JD smiles and watches her happily. He was nervous and excited to meet her parents. He gets up with her and heads to their bathroom. He holds her hips and kisses her cheek softly.

“How’s your chest doing?” She asked him quietly seeing the scar was still bright pink where the worst injury had been and she traced it lightly while she watched him some, getting his shower going.

JD watches her and places his hand over hers gently when she was done. “Still a little sore. Some pain when I breathe or move a certain way.” He murmurs and lifts her hand up to his lips and kisses her fingertips. “But it’s not that bad.” He assures her.

She nodded and watched him some before getting in the shower. “Good. Have they told you when your evaluation is?” She asked him quietly then shook her head. “Tell you what. No more work talk today I’m sorry.”

Jd smiles and gets in behind her. "It's okay love." He murmurs and kisses her nose. He starts washing up.

She let out a little giggle and held onto him while they were in there. “Do you wanna live in the city your whole life?” She asked him quietly
