Seconds, minutes, hours and even eons... Freed would find him trapped in darkness; his form huddled in the corner of the darkened storage room; back pressed against the wall as timid eyes watched the faint sliver of light that trickled through the edges of the door frame. He would soon find himself tensing with each and every shadow that passed, blocking the faint glow of light that invaded his darkness. He'd soon feel the sweat upon his brow, droplets forming as the sound of passing conversation reached his unwilling ears. Was it nerves? The rising heat of his cell? Or both?.
A reluctant eavesdropper; he'd soon become privy to the idle gossip of some no name npc walking past his prison. Fate dictating that they stop just outside his room; the sound of one of them leaning against his door as their feet tapped away at the wooden object. Tap. Tap. Tap. Was that his heart beat racing or the monotonous tone of this woman's foot upon his jail door?

A sigh would escape the troubled man, who found himself grabbing some flat object in the darkness; hands grasping them tightly as he used whatever it was to fan himself. Freed didn't much care about how they felt about certain members of the agencies upper echelon, he only cared about them being another hindrance to his escape, an obstacle to face once he escaped from the storage room. Could he break out?

An uneasy smile formed across his face at the thought of breaking through the door; the image of his ghoulish visage bursting into the corridor where two women were presently shirking their duties with idle chit chat. How would it look, to see him clambering atop both of them as he tried to flee... would they believe him if he told them he meant no harm? Probably not.

Alas, his worries were for naught as while he did play with the idea of breaking the door down... it was nothing more than a fantasy for him. His skinny arms couldn't muster the strength to break it down... at a stretch he'd have just enough force to probably knock himself out. Not ideal either. Another sigh would escape him as he found himself slumping down to the side; eyes fixed on the only source of light coming from beyond the door as he waited for the two gossip gals to leave.

His time waiting for them to leave would soon turn his focus to his wisp; the blue haired hero wannabe linking up with his illusionary doppelganger; Freed's eyes rolling into the back of his head as images begun to transmit into his very mind. Through hazy eyes, Freed would see himself sitting towards the back in the corner of the meeting room, eyes glancing at the back of Armels head and towards all the other heroes' some threatening to cause a sudden loss of blood from his nose whilst some looked far more similar to the bullies that lurked the school corridors. Freed could immediately sense how nervous the wisp was as it dedicated itself to the role it had been cast in, maintaining his visage despite the precarious position his master found itself in. Any small slip up or hint of fakery could spell trouble for Freed.

While the chatter of the two women drowned out most of what his Wisp was relaying, Freed did get the general gist of what his first assignment would be; a look of dread spreading evenly across his face as it was decided that he and Armel would be on two separate teams. A shimmer in the image of Freed would be seen momentarily as the spike in Freed's nerves caused a momentarily lapse in his remote control of his clone.

Ceasing his visual link with the wisp, Freed's wish for the two obstacles to depart would soon arrive as he heard the sound of their footsteps leaving. The opportunity to get out was now... but how would he escape a locked door.

For the first time in however long he had been sealed away, Freed would finally begin to muster the strength to move; seeing the long silence outside his four walls being the opportune time to make his escape. Without Armel there, Freed highly doubted he'd survive his first day at work... especially not with the intimidating gaze of that man Krauss. He may not have spoken a word, but his gaze alone was enough to cause his wisp to shit itself the sentient orb of blue flame almost extinguishing itself from the momentary glance. Freed had to get out of here.

Clambering towards the door, Freed would begin to feel his way around it, first reaching for the door knob to see if it would open or not. When that didn't work, he'd begin to feel around the frame itself knowing that the traditional placement of a light switch wouldn't be too far from the door itself. It wouldn't take long for his bonelike fingers to find the switch; the darkness that engulfed him banished to whence it came from in favour of a blinding light. Bright enough that Freed's eyes had not yet been ready for the shock. Stunned and dazed, Freed would find himself falling over the mop bucket; his ass landing on the tiled floor and his back crashing into the 'Caution, do not slip. Floor is wet' signage.

Staring at the ceiling, Freed's eyes would begin to blink as he adjusted to the light in the room. If only there was someone outside who could unlock the door...
The loudest of his sighs could soon be heard as he came to the shocking realization that he could have just asked those two gossipers to free him from here... rather than cowering in the darkness.

"For fucks sake..."

Meanwhile, Freed's clone would dissipate into a puff of blue smoke; revealing a blue wisp floating in its spot. Those looking directly at the orb would see the faint facial expressions of a face; the look of worry and anguish evident on the little sentient orb.

The jig was up. It was exposed. In an attempt to make its own escape; the orb would soon fly out of the room; passing Krauss, Tatsuo and Charlie in its attempt to return to the safety of its masters blue hair.

impressed, amused.

"Good morning Charlie, glad to see you aren't too late today."
A bit backhanded, but Charlie decided to accept the nice gesture for what it was. The rookie simply shrugged before taking one of the pastries Kat had offered her. As she took a bite, her brows lifted in shock, lips turned into an impressed frown,

"Damn, not bad Tsukuyomi. Guess you and Grace are doing better no-" As she spoke, she could just barely hear another of her coworkers quietly wish her a good morning. "Oh, morning, Tatsuo!" She piped up, furrowing her brow in confusion as she watched the quieter hero take a seat away from everyone else. Maybe she was still waking up? It was hard to tell with her, considering she never showed her true emotions, no matter the setting.

Besides those few exchanges, Charlie (surprisingly) kept her mouth shut. It was a lot more entertaining to watch the exchanges ensue between all of the Agency members. She gave the new recruits a polite smile and small wave, internally thanking whatever God was out there that she was no longer the fresh meat. Despite this, she was getting kind of.. bored. The raven-haired woman could feel herself begin to zone out, no longer having the pastry to munch on.

I really hope I locked the door. Shit.. I had to, rig-

Her thoughts were interrupted by Eagle's familiar voice, urging her to sit up a little straighter and pull her gaze away from the random spot on the conference table. She wondered what kind of hell he'd put them through this time, knowing they'd have to work in groups again. She knew that teamwork was a major part of being a hero, but.. Dear God, it's miserable working with most of the people in the room!

Despite her thoughts running rampant in her mind, she listened carefully to the groups Eagle announced, visibly relaxing after hearing who would be in her group. Krauss, Tatsuo, and Freed. Bright blue eyes immediately looked over to the... odd recruit. How could someone be so stiff? Yet anxious at the same time? Charlie couldn't contain the look of speculation and confusion that graced her features.

"Lets go."

Charlie was brought back to Earth by Krauss' voice, the unexpected sound prompting her to look up at him with an arched brow. Well. Guess they were leaving right now. She stood up, pushing her chair in before following the absolute skyscraper of a man. "Holy shit, have you always been this tall? You're terrifying, Goggles." He had to be nearly seven feet tall, making everyone around him look like shrimp. How she didn't notice this sooner, was a mystery that was quickly forgotten, thanks to Freed dissipating into thin air in front of Charlie's eyes.

"Wha- Hey! You don't get to dip out that easily!" The American rushed to follow the orb, completely under the assumption that he teammate had decided to try and play hooky as soon as the boss leaves. "If we have to patrol, so do you!" With how fast the little fucker was flying, Charlie had to start running down the halls, earning glares and murmurs from random suits gossiping in said halls.

Thankfully, the American didn't have to run far, eventually finding herself standing in front of a janitor's closet. "Come on, little orb! We've got patrolling to do." Charlie crossed her arms, huffing quietly in an attempt to conceal how out of breath she had gotten. "Is that like.. your true form or something? A little ball of fire pretending to be a guy?" To anyone else, the woman would look batshit, simply asking back to back questions to a door. Not like she cared, of course. She also didn't realize just how rude she would be coming off if this was, in fact, the poor guy's true form.

Her patience wore thin rather quickly, pale hands deciding to open the door to prevent wasting more time. Honestly, she was just expecting the same, scared, blue orb that she met earlier. Instead, it was the original Freed, laying on the ground. "No fuckin' way, were you sleeping in here?!" Charlie looked behind her, assuming that her groupmates weren't far behind her,

"Can you believe this shit?" Exasperation quickly morphed into amusement, a chuckle slipping out of her, as she turned back to Freed. "Damn, kind of jealous. I was late on my first day for sleeping in, but not in such a stylish fashion."

Taking a few steps toward the fellow rookie, Charlie held out a hand, "Need a lift, slacker?"

Krauss - The Specialist
Location: Helping Freed to come out of the closet

( Phayne Phayne ) ( leviohsa leviohsa ) ( AriAriAbabwa AriAriAbabwa )

The Westerner looked at Charlie when she remarked about his height. Truly, a man of his stature was uncommon in Japan, unless they were a foreigner. The man never thought much of it, but knew he had an edge with his physical attributes, at least against regular people. The woman was absolutely right about him being scary. When needed, the German knew how to fly into a rage and use his muscles to great effect - “Scary? Only when I need to” - he remarked.

Already outside the meeting room, he took note of the blue flame suddenly darting in front of him, fleeing somewhere. That earned an eyebrow raise from the man and, not soon after, the black-haired punk looking woman was giving chase. He followed right after her, his long stride giving him the advantage of not needing to run as much as she was. He followed her and the wisp up until the front of the janitor’s closet. Without making a sound, the man’s right hand reached inside his blazer, leaving its comforting and temporary housing with the revolver in hand.

Krauss was careful. He always had been. Not knowing Freed’s quirk, who can be sure that wisp had something to do with him? And not someone impersonating him for whatever reason? He was going to deal with the situation with more tact, but Charlie simply beat him to it and already had opened the janitor closet’s door wide open. It didn’t take too long until the woman could see, from the corner of her eye, the towering man’s arm extending over her right shoulder, gun pointing directly at the blue-haired man.

His thumb slowly moving to the revolver’s hammer, moving and sitting itself on the crevice. Pulling it backwards, suddenly there was a loud click and a slight rotation of the barrel. The revolver, nicknamed Matilda, was cocked, decreasing the trigger’s resistance greatly, making it effortless to shoot it. From above Charlie’s head, Freed could see the eyes of the shooter staring it at him, just behind the green glassed spectacles.

The man simply stared at him, waiting for any suspicious reaction. That went on for at least 2 minutes. That clock ticked slowly, the Specialist made not a single movement at all. When he felt satisfied, checking the man in front was not a copycat or anything of the sorts, his thumb moved once again to the revolver’s hammer, uncocking it. Another loud click was made by the gun, its barrel rotating back to its original place.

Krauss’s arm moved back, towards himself. The gun was once again safely stored inside his gun holster - “If you are done playing with the mops, we have a job to do” - the man voice was stern, not exactly angry or anything, but directed towards the fallen newbie. The Specialist waited this time, so they would all move together towards the garage.

Ichiro rolled his eyes as Ruri mouthed his name, shifting his gaze to Kouki so he didn't have to deal with her shenanigans. He opened his mouth to answer Kouki, but Ruri had already beaten him to the punch. "That would be the best plan of action, that area has seen an increase of crime lately." Ichiro said, shifting in his seat so that he was upright now. Another good reason to patrol that area is because they had stores, a few liquor stores to be specific. If Ichiro was going to deal with Ruri for the day, he was going to need to be tipsy to get through it.

“Hmm, we’re missing someone, no? Where’s Masaru?” Ichiro froze for a few seconds, taken by surprise from the question that Ruri presented. There was a flash of sadness in Ichiro eye's, looking away so that nobody could see his face, "They couldn't find his body." He said, standing up from his chair taking a few steps towards the door, pausing next to Ruri. "Basically, he's dead." While Ichiro couldn't confirm his death, it was highly unlikely he made it out alive and he was never one to get his hopes up. He didn't... he couldn't give her more details because that day was still fresh in his mind, playing like a movie in his head every night. Masaru was only the icing on the cake for that day and Ichiro didn't want to relive it. "I'll be waiting outside the agency, try not to take too long." Ichiro quietly walked out the room, his hands stuffed into his pockets.

Ichiro's focus was completely elsewhere, almost bumping into someone as he made his way out the door. He was quick to retrieve a cigarette from his pocket, trying to light it with his lighter. He didn't realize it, but his arm was shaking, and he didn't know why. He grabbed it to make it stop, lighting the cigarette as he tried to keep his arm steady. After it was lit, he took a long drag from it, letting out a swath of smoke. He rested his hands on his head, trying to calm himself down. Ichiro, this isn't like you. Get your shit together and do your job. Ichiro took a deep breath and held it for a few seconds before letting it out. Tears were starting to pool on the edge of his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away. Tears would do nothing for the fallen. After another drag from his cigarette, he finally calmed himself down, flicking it away. He was definitely taking a trip to the liquor store.

Relaxing and Waiting
Tsukuyomi Hachiman
"Tsukuyomi, Nakano, Shin, I'll meet you all downstairs. I'm going to drop this off at my office..." Wiping his eye with his handkerchief, he responds to the soft-spoken lady. “Ok, I’ll be down soon just give me a sec.” He drank what was left of his coffee to calm his nerves. The purple-haired woman’s small hand patted the top of Tsuki’s head. He quietly thanked her for her caring heart. An upset voice filled the room after Kathy left. The drunk was causing conflict with the slut again. "Basically, he's dead." The pain that rang within his voice was showing. Masaru wasn't just a rookie to Ichiro, Tsuki could agree to that. "I'll be waiting outside the agency, try not to take too long." Tsuki watched his friend walk out of the room; underneath alcoholics’ hair, Tsuki could see his reddish puffy eyes. I never thought I would see Ichiro cry for something other than an empty liquor bottle. He wanted to follow his friend out of the room, but he knew this time Ichiro needed some space. The hero looked down and realized that he was out of coffee. Coffee was the only thing, besides alcohol, that was going to help him deal with Nakano and Shinobu today.

The one-eyed hero overheard the commotion within the hallway as all the other employees. He decided to step out of the meeting room in order to find out what was going on. The first thing Tsukiyomi saw was a tall German with his revolver cocked and ready to kill whatever was in the closet. The American was standing right next to Krauss, with a stunned look on her face. What could possibly be that entertaining in a Janitor's Closet? The tall black-haired man gradually got closer to the pair. By the time he was right next to him, the German already put away his weapon and with a blunt tone, he said “If you are done playing with the mops, we have a job to do” Playing with mops? Tsuki looked into the closet and saw a blue-haired rookie staring back at him. FREED!? After recognizing the kid's face from his file the gentlemen decided to introduce himself to the Newbie. He reached down and held his hand out as an invitation to help Freed up. “I don't believe we have met before; my name is Tsukiyomi. You can call me Tsuki. This has probably been the most entertaining way that I have met somebody before. If you need a quiet place to sleep, next time please talk to me. You can sleep on my couch in my office. It's pretty dark and quiet there unless I'm playing my classical music.”

Tsukiyomi wished them luck on their patrols and proceeded to go to the break room nearby and grab some coffee. He had some quick small talk with a few other people who worked on the business side of things for the agency. A few laughs and jokes flew around, he said his goodbyes to his colleagues and proceeded to the lobby. Once there he sat down on the dark leather couch, turned on his tablet, and scrolled through the new recruits' files. One of the files caught his eye. “Jolie Giroux, a support quirk, you will be very useful for us.

Tatsuo phased out of her sleepy-like state at the familiar sound of Eagle's authority. At the same time, she finally realized the additional faces in the room. Ruri is back? Plus several new recruits by the look of it. This was indeed reaffirmed at the briefing of their next mission: simple patrols in squads of four of Eagle's assigning. And, ignoring the fact that he essentially implied Krauss to be the "handler" of the group, Tatsuo could only beam at how she was the only senior member of the four. Needless to say, she looked forward to their (hopefully peaceful) duties.

First and foremost, Tatsuo looked to each of the newer rookies. She checked in her pockets, breathing a sigh of relief; she had just enough spares for them. The shrine-maiden approached each of the newer rookies: Kouki, Armel, and Jolie, handing each of them an amulet of silk, paper, and wood. "Omamori," she explained, "for good luck." And, with a gentle smile, she left them to their teams.

When she got to Freed, with the last omamori in hand, however... he became nothing more than a little blue orb buzzing out the door, leaving Tatsuo stunned in place.

Charlie and Krauss immediately gave chase down the halls. Tatsuo sighed, opting to walk after her group. Was Freed really running away on his first official mission? Or was there some other reason to this? Whatever the case, she was sure she'd find out soon. The last thing she expected was... Krauss aiming a gun inside the janitor's closet...

Tatsuo blinked a few times, believing momentarily that she was only seeing things. But when he holstered the gun, the Miko hurried down to get a full view of the situation... which, if she had to be honest, didn't help her understand anything more... What she did know, though, was that someone acted dangerously out of line.

"Krauss." The change in tone of voice was sudden. Rather than the bright warmth that typically emanated from her, and despite the same old smile she wore, Tatsuo sounded almost annoyed; like a mother scolding her child. "We do not resort to threats nor violence until we are certain of danger. Please act more professional next time around." She still kept her serene countenance trained on Krauss when she spoke again, this time sounding as mellow as usual. "That is all."

Tatsuo knelt beside Charlie to appear less intimidating, as the rookie must have been unnerved at this point. "I apologize for that. It seems Krauss' Quirk is fully reliant on munitions, hence their 'whelming presence' on him." The shrine-maiden chuckled softly, doing her best to be nothing short of welcoming for the rookie. Freed looked to be an anxious sort of person, and it was her responsibility to ensure he felt comfortable. "I am Tatsuo Iori. I have been in the agency far longer than the others in this squad, so I hope you won't feel too uneasy." She then held out the omamori pendant she tried gifting earlier. "It's for good luck!"

At the same time, Tsukiyomi chipped in from seemingly out of nowhere. He extended yet another hand to Freed while offering a place for the rookie to slack off in. Not that Tatsuo minded. "Alternatively, the agency's shrine is quite serene itself. Less of a chance of being interrupted by people—or classical music, for that matter."

"EEEEEK" screaled Freed ass still glued to the floor as the door to his current hell burst open; the blue haired man scrambling backwards towards the back of the storage room door; his back hard pressed against the drywall, with nowhere else to go. Standing between the frame of the now open door was Haywire; one of the new hero's of the Eagle Agency. Small in stature, her figure standing between him and his escape to freedom was already intimidating enough as it was, but it was the monster lurking behind her that had really sent Freed over the edge; the man whose visage was enough to cause his Wisp to falter in its disguise.

Frightened and fearing for his life now that a gun was pointed directly at him, Freed could only attempt to defend himself by manoeuvring the nearby mop and bucket so that it was now standing between him and them. A feeble attempt at defending himself, but his other options were either a faded poster of some maid woman -signed by a Mr Fist- and a wet floor sign. He didn't fancy getting caught in the crossfire if he were to grab one of the scented spray cans and have it backfire onto him.

"I.. I wasn't..... I... " he paused, suddenly wincing as his right hand rose to his mouth pain visible on his face as he leaned forward; moving his hand to his now open mouth as he waited for blood to drip from where he had bitten his tongue; nothing coming.

Where was Armel he had to wonder. Armel could have saved him from this bloody mess.

Still plastered to the floor; Freed knowing that silence would betray him had forced himself to attempt to speak once more; glancing up at the two heroes in front of him. "I.. I wasn't sleeping in" he would finally utter, still looking up at the diminutive figure of Charlie and beyond her the scowling ferocity of the man pointing the gun at him. The act only served to prevent Freed from taking Charlie's offer for a lift up. One, He'd probably lose consciousness if he were to make any form of physical contact with a real hero... much less a female one and two, any wrong move on his part could have ended with him having a hole in his forehead if he were to inadvertently do something.

".. I.. I.. just got lost.." he continued eyes darting between the pair of them whilst using his right hand to press the back of his head as he attempted to look apologetic; despite the blatant lie. He wasn't actually lost... he was just prevented from fleeing by a series of unfortunate events.

By now, Krauss had begun to holster his hand gun, the act offering a small window of reprieve for Freed who dared take a deep breath to try ease the nerve; barely even noticing the arrival of Tsuki and Tatsuo. If three was a crowd, five was definitely pushing Freed to god levels of social interaction. His heart was on the verge of throwing in the towel, yet he just had no opening to escape to.

Glancing at the two latest arrival, Freed's eyes shifted over towards the less intimidating of the two, Tatsuo who had already admonished Krauss for his actions. Out of the four, she was most definitely the least intimidating presence, Freed already feeling a tad more relaxed now that she was in the room. A warmth emanated from her as she spoke to Freed, unlike the cold harshness from Krauss or the amused tone of Charlie.

"Th.. thanks.." replied Freed as he reached for the Omamori; gripping it tightly as he seemingly needed as much luck as possible to survive his first day here. It was also one of only a handful of gifts he had received from a woman that wasn't related or just doing her job dishing out promotional flyers. However in doing so he also noticed movement; eyes looking past Tatsuo and towards the man.

Was Tsuki going to be just as intimidating as Krauss was? the thought ran through Freed's mind as the suave looking hero approached him; his looks garnering a small sense of envy from the ghoulish Freed. Fortunately he was not there to scare the living shit out of him like Krauss had done; the dark haired man offering Freed a hand back onto his feet. Unlike it was with Charlie, Freed could handle this much with a guy... without his nerves acting up; also, Krauss's gun had been holstered making the whole situation a tad less frightening.

"Th.. thanks... I appreciate the offers... I.. might take you guys up on it... sometime.." he replied, smiling to both Tatsuo and Tsuki. At least there were some here besides Armel that were nice. Krauss on the other hand... what sane person would draw a gun on someone's first day at work even if it was his quirk.

A mental note was made to keep Krauss's visage in mind. His intimidating aura would serve as a valuable asset.

As Tsuki left, Freed would wave his goodbyes before turning around to face Charlie, Tatsuo and Krauss. "... so.... I saw that.. we are on a team..?" he asked, referencing the information his wisp had relayed back to him.

JOLIE GIROUX
W/ TEAM...TEAM
"It's a pleasure meeting all of you!" Jolie smiled and gave a short bow as she was welcomed by a few of her future comrades. The atmosphere was more lively and casual than she had expected, with each of the older members seeming more like good friends than simple work partners. It was more relieving in that sense, as it seemed as though she wouldn't find many issues in assimilating herself into the group's dynamic.

As she began to settle down, a large anthropomorphic eagle strode into the room and immediately established himself as the leader of the group. He split the room into three groups, with Jolie herself being grouped up with Ichiro, Ruri, Armel, and Kouki—all teammates she had no familiarity with, though this would soon change. "And it's a pleasure to meet you, too, Jolly!" And older man approached Jolie, baragging her with a long winded talk about foreigners. When...will he stop talking, she thought as she simply nodded along, maintaining her bright smile as he kept speaking, and with a friendly pat on Jolie's shoulder he turned and addressed Ruri and Ichiro.

The silver-haired woman, Ruri, spoke next. “I’m thinking we patrol the northern part of the city, particularly around the Nozomi market. That place always has a lot of foot traffic. Hmm, we’re missing someone, no? Where’s Masaru?”

"Ma...sa...ru?" Jolie questioned, having never heard the name before; a "Masaru" was never mentioned by their leader.

"They couldn't find his body." Jolie turned to face the person that had just spoken, her smile faltering slightly. There was an uncomfortable pause before he continued, saying, "Basically, he's dead."

"O-Oh..." The mood among her group suddenly shifted into an uncomfortable melancholy with Jolie glancing back and forth between both Ichiro and Ruri, unsure if she should shift the topic or simply stay silent. With a dead comrade, Jolie's employment seemed to make more sense—she was meant to fill in the gaps left by fallen allies. The uncomfortable pause persisted before Jolie decided speak up, clearing her throat and exclaiming, "Well anyways, I look forward to working with all of you!"

"Ruri and...Kouki, right?"
she smiled as she looked between the two. "Let's go catch up with Ichiro. We've got a long day ahead of us!" Jolie clapped her hands together, gesturing towards the exit.

The room was lively to say the least. As each new person entered having already taken his seat, Armel had to admit, it felt comfortingly familiar. Though he hardly knew any of them the familiar atmosphere was grounding. It drove off any sense of doubt at how he might fit in, and left a sense of ease. From Jollie's entrance to Nanako's it was nice to see the interactions between the heroes here as a whole.

The moment Eagle arrived though, Armel gave him his full attention. The meeting ultimately gave him insight into what they'd be doing. While the teams were being listed off, the realization hit him that he actually didn't know the names of anyone aside from Cross, Jollie and Nanako. Had it not been for them saying something, he probably would have had to go through the slightly awkward process of tracking who his teammates were / are. He had to admit he respected the cut to the business shtick. It made things simpler and easier. Just as he rose to begin looking, he noticed the man that had been talking loudly- approach him. Mostly by mispronouncing his name.

Armel merely took it in stride, offering Kouki a smile, even as he apologized for the error. "Pleasure to meet you also, and don't worry about the name." He said shaking the man's hand. "I may butcher some stuff in Japanese anyway, so it's fine." While Kouki went on as he turned to Jollie, Armel glanced at Ichiro, took note of the sheer aura of disinterest- and immediately just turned his attention to Ruriko as she introduced herself, followed by the pitch where they would be heading. Having never really patrolled in that specific area before, he had initially meant to ask what exactly that part of the city was like. Kouki's enthusiasm was starting to get to him and--

--that was when Freed exploded. Or rather, that was when the trick Freed had been playing imploded, causing any enthusiasm Armel held to vanish as he realized that his friend and co-worker had tricked him into thinking he had found the confidence to show his face. Though the little display of the sentient orb fleeing might have drawn amusement from one or two others, it did nothing for Armel in the way of lifting his spirits. If anything his eyes merely narrowed.

I'm going to lecture that guy when I see him next time. Though even as he leaned back into his chair, the stern look of annoyance on his face shifted into something more of minor sense of respect. He had to admit, that had been a smart move. Freed's lack of confidence in himself really paled when he was actually showing what he could do when it came to dodging social situations. If he wanted to, he could make one hell of a spy with his power. Regardless, he was certain Cross' group would hunt him down. He felt that was guaranteed as someone else went off to investigate.

Turning his attention to Ruriko, Armel meant to get her attention along with the others as he spoke- but the presence of someone else approaching made him turn to look at the Japanese priestess uniformed heroine. Without really understanding why till she said it, he took the charm she had given him. He wasn't too familiar in Shintoism, but if the uniform had anything to do with her Quirk, he might as well keep it. Slipping it into a pocket within his shirt, he turned back to the others, just as Ichiro spoke and informed them all of something quite...disturbing.

Dead? his brows furrowed. He...wasn't sure what to say. Watching Ichiro go he felt compelled to follow him. He glanced at the others- and rose. "I'll go with him." And without a word after he followed after.

So, who is Masaru if I might ask?" The question came out of the blue. It was just as Ichiro was pulling out a cigarrette and taking a drag. The way his arm moved as he did it, told Armel he was trying to stay calm.

A part of him wished there was something he could offer here, but he didn't know who Masaru was, and so all he could do was offer a sense of empathy as he gave Ichiro some space, but waited to see if he'd get an answer.

Well. Charlie knew from the get-go that Krauss was a direct man.
Not one for too many pleasantries. Still, this prior knowledge of the hero was not enough for her to be prepared for the presence of his clothed arm in her peripheral, his reach going past her head and closer towards the blue-haired rookie on the ground. She wasn't exactly fearful, knowing she wasn't his target. She had to guess he was simply suspicious of the game of cat and mouse they ended up playing. Despite this, the speed yet stillness of the entire maneuver was enough to make her much more alert than she was before, naturally tense as to not get in his way.

Pulling out a gun in the office? She could imagine the image of the much larger, much more ominous man looming over her smaller frame... Yeah, Charlie definitely lost any of her welcoming charm that could have been mustered just a moment before. Blue eyes watched as Freed helplessly scrambled to use a mop bucket as a shield, blinking at him with a confused look on her face. It didn't take long for her to guess that he wasn't going to take her offer, willing her to sit up a little straighter, crossing her arms instead.

".. I.. I.. just got lost.." Lost..? How do you get lost in a janitor's closet? Charlie could tell he was full of shit, but there was no point in pushing him even more. A gun pointed at your head is enough, usually. Once Tatsuo arrived, giving Krauss an intense scolding, Charlie decided it was best to take a few steps back, away from Freed. Now she stood beside Goggles, arms still crossed as she observed the Shrine Maiden do what she does best. It never failed to impress Charlie just how easily she was able to empathize with others, and calm them down. Thank goodness she came to help, cause Charlie wasn't exactly.. the most doting.

The gun being pulled out must've attracted attention, since Tsukuyomi seemed to have appeared out of nowhere with an offer of his office as a safe haven. With her arms still crossed, Charlie spoke up,

"Man.. I sleep in, and I'm scolded. Freed sleeps in, and he gets the couch!" Her tone was light-hearted, however, she would be lying if she said that it didn't feel ever-so-slightly unfair. Granted.. She did drop in late in the middle of a mission...

Eh, minor differences.

As Tsuki left, Charlie gave him a small wave, bringing her hands back into the comfort of her jacket pockets. "... so.... I saw that.. we are on a team..?" The raven-haired rookie nodded.

"Yeah, more or less. We are going to patrol an area of our choosing. But.. we can't exactly patrol if we're stuck crowding up the halls."

Charlie's sarcastic remark was met with a distant scoff, paired with a 'I'll say!' from a few doors down, making her arch her brow, her body instantly turning towards the source. The indignant office worker quickly shuffled away, making her roll her eyes before allowing her to turn back to her teammates.

"Since you're new, you'll probably need a debriefing of our skillsets, right?" To most of her teammates, this is probably the most focused and professional she has sounded since meeting her. After being humbled by such a failure of a field mission, the rookie really wanted to prove herself useful to her peers.

Beginning to walk backwards towards the elevator, she spoke up, "C'mon! We can explain on the way out, slacker." She teased the rookie with a grin, eventually spinning back around so that she was facing forward. It didn't take long for her to reach the elevator at the end of the hall, walking inside and holding the door open for her patrol team.

Looking at the newbie scurrying all over the closet, afraid of what would happen next, could be hilarious to someone perverse. Krauss, however, simply watched every movement the man was making. There was a tense moment when the blue-haired man set his eyes on the bug spray on the shelf, but luckily he didn’t reach for it. The tall man would hate to think what would have happened if he did so.

Something that picked up the German’s attention was how Freed said he had got lost. That was unlikely, since his double, or whatever that thing that entered the meeting room was, followed right behind another agent - “Tsk, tsk, tsk… already lying? Unreliable” - the man squinted his eyes, observing the clearly scared man and, albeit his face remained devoid of emotion, it was clear he didn’t believe a single word coming from Freed’s mouth.

Not soon after, the shrine maiden approached and started lecturing Krauss. The Westerner turned to face her, looking down because of their height differences, staring her directly into her eyes. Her words didn’t bother him, nor made a dent in his stoic nature. Alas, there was a part of her speech that prompted an answer from him - “You have things backward: I keep an offensive and threatening posture until I am sure there is nothing to worry about. It has kept me alive so far” - his deadpan delivery clearly showed that it was useless to keep pushing that point.

The blond man was a survivor of sorts and the only thing he cared about was being alive, get the job done and also keep his colleagues breathing. As such, pleasantries, small talk and all other sorts of things he was observing as both Tatsuo and Charlie interacted with the now, out of the closet Freed, were possible distractions to when shit simply hit the fan.

Walking through the hallway, Krauss was nonchalantly as ever. Still, Charlie idea of debriefing the newbie with their own quirks was sure something that had to be done. With his heavy steps, the man was the first to pronounce himself, while his sights were set in the elevator - “My quirk allows me to gather kinetic energy and shoot just like a projectile from any gun looking extension… even finger guns” - the man’s right man moved to form exactly a finger gun. Both middle and index fingers extended forwards mimicking a barrel, thumb backwards mimicking the hammer, while the other fingers were hidden from sight. He waved his arm, so the newbie could see it, before his fist clenched back to its original position.

The towering man was the first one to step inside the metal box, pressing the garage button as soon as all his teammates were inside.

Kouki Kaneko
The older man noticed a slight shift in Ichiro's demeanor as Ruriko asked the question, and his own smile fell a bit. From what he remembered, this Masaru had been declared missing following the incident involving the villain Magma's attempted escape and subsequent death. There were numerous different speculations about specifics, but the general consensus was that it was a monumental failure on multiple fronts on what the public saw as a simple escort. And with Ichiro's blunt answer to the woman and quick escape from the meeting room, his assumptions were answered. He wasn't sure if it was because he was close to the deceased, or if it was the outcome that had him acting the way he was, but either way, it seemed like a sore subject.

Before Kouki could follow Armel out after the other hero, he was stopped by the girl dressed as a shrine maiden. When she presented the charm to him, he quickly took it and just stared at in his hands for a moment, as if in deep thought. He lifted a hand to the right side of his jacket, where underneath he had his previous omamori from his shrine visit at the beginning of the new year, a yaku-yoke. He was unsure of what this one was, but before he could ask, the woman had already run off to find the rest of her team. He looked himself over for a moment, wondering where to put it, before he gave up and pinned it on the inside of his jacket, over his heart. He wasn't sure if it was a different charm, but if it was the same as the one he already had, he prayed that they would stack up together. Double protection wasn't something he would turn away.

Once he felt it was hitched securely on the inside of the jacket so it wouldn't fall out, he patted it gently with his hand before he turned to the remaining members of his squad. "I don't know about either of you, but I feel like I can take on anything now! But I agree with Miss Jolly. No reason for us to just be standing around here. I heard your Eagle could be a real stickler for the lazy and unmotivated, and I would rather not be tossed into that group and make a bad impression on my first day here with you all. So let's get a move on!" He spun on his heel, puffing his chest out once more as he made a grandiose gesture of farewell to the rest of the remaining heroes in the room. "A pleasure to see familiar faces and meet new ones, folks! Let's do our best today and make the world a better place!" And with that and a skip in his step, he hastily made his way out of the room, not thinking of Ruri and Jolie keeping up with him as he quickly walked through the building to the front.

Outside now, he saw Armel and ichiro standing off to the side, the slightly younger hero of the two flicking away his cigarette. He watched it fly through the air before landing on the ground a few feet away from all of them. Kouki's mouth twitched, and he looked around before his eyes landed on a garbage can not too far away. He walked up to the discarded cigarette and picked it up, ash breaking off of it as he crushed it in his hand, snuffing out the last of the barely smoldering tobacco. Strangely, he was silent as he turned back and walked over to the garbage can, dropping the trash inside and doing his best to get the ash off of his gloves as he walked back over to two heroes, a coy grin on his face. "Apologies for that. Anyways! This Nozomi Market area, is it far away? If so, how do we plan on getting there? Walk, taxi, car, train...? If there weren't so many of us..."

Kouki grabbed the hem of the shirt he was wearing, lifting it slightly to reveal an ornate-looking black and gold pattern that covered his abdomen. Grabbing a handful of the fabric, he pulled it out, unraveling at least a portion of the carpet. As he did so, stretching some of it out, it seemed to wave gently, as if it had a mind of it's own. Really, though, Kouki was making it make such movements to show off a little bit. "I would probably have been able to carry us over to the market with some guidance. But, with this many people, that may be a tight fit and...well, I of course don't want to assume anyone's weight! That's gotten me in some trouble before. Some people are kind of touchy about the subject, surprisingly? One guy, funnily enough, was swatting the back of my head as I was carrying him and a couple other people off the mountain after they got lost. Didn't care if I lost my concentration, just was trying to beat an apology out of me. Real thankful, they were."

Eagle’s presence had evidently pulled everyone’s attention away from the conversations they were having, meeting room falling into a silence as their assignments were laid out in the air for them to digest. It made sense they were tasked with something as “tame” as patrolling, given everyone needed to get into the rhythm of things, but it’d be a lie for me to sit here and tell you that Shinobu was all too fond of the idea… For whatever reason, the news would ultimately cause a peculiar tick to go off in the back of his head, that of which only lasted a mere half-a-second before he found solace in the idea of being able to “sneak” in a few spending sessions at some of the stores he liked. Go figure.

At Ichiro’s mention of a certain tiger hero being in his group, the albino only waved it off, saying how it was fine and that he had already experienced working with a number of different temperaments. Many of those in the entertainment industry, from observation, tended to have some kind of issue; lots of them would prove to be difficult personalities as a result. Shinobu parted ways with the senior member with a deadpan, “But uh, truthfully, if she does anything to me, the modeling agency I’m still signed under will probably sue her.” ... Regardless of whether or not I want them to, by the way.

For awhile, he ended up lingering within the confines of his own thoughts, as opposed to paying attention to what was being said around him; he caught bits and pieces of it, like the name “Masaru” (one of the guys who joined right before he did, right? well… he never did end up meeting the dude in person, let alone interact with him), and the weird, suffocating air that wasn’t there before. At some point, people began trickling out of the room, including two of his teammates: Katherine and Tsukuyomi. Haven’t I worked with the two of them before? It’s been awhile… Most of my work this past month’s just been solo heroics and the usual publicity things.

With an inaudible sigh, he finally grounded himself from his moments spent in space and vaguely glanced towards Nakano―or at least, where he swore she was supposed to be. Are… you for real? What’s the deal with all the furries committing unexist lately?

──── &.

Hm. Since it’s just patrolling, I think Harajuku would be cool cause of the fashion district! Or―Roppongi might be better today, actually… He pondered to himself, scrolling through his phone with zero intent while he made his way to the lobby. When he arrived, his attention was pulled towards a familiar head of dark hair.

“Oh, Tsuki ~~! How does it feel to be stuck with me for the third time? I don’t know if you heard, but Nakano got sent to the void… so it might just be us three once Kathy gets here.” He idly sat on the other side of the couch, going back to whatever mindless thing he was doing on his screen. Without looking back up, he continued; “The files you’re reading are ones of us, yeah? What kinda info’s even on them, anyway?”

Oshiro Ruriko

Immediately following her question about Masaru, the room fell unusually silent. She raised her eyebrow at Tsukiyomi’s unnatural comment about the weather today. Was it actually supposed to rain today? Ruriko turned her head slightly to the clear, glass windows at the side of the meeting room that overlooked the area. It looked like a clear day, hopefully, it wouldn’t rain later considering she wasn’t a fan of flying in the rain. Either way, that still didn’t answer her question about the young, and rather cute, hero. Katherine then spoke up, only making her more confused. Ruriko lifted her hands up slightly in response, a clear indication that she wasn’t sure what she was supposed to leave exactly. She just wanted to know where the hell Masaru was! What was the big deal anyway?

Oh.

Leave it to Ichiro to give it to her straight. She blinked a couple of times, trying to process the information that was given to her. Masaru…is dead? No, no. That can’t possibly be right. She just saw him three months ago, he was a fresh new hero! He wasn’t necessarily excited to have joined the agency right away but he was still part of it. Three months wasn’t a long time! It wasn’t…was it? Ruriko opened her mouth, wanting to say something to Ichiro but she had no words. She instead watched him walk out of the meeting room quickly, appearing a lot more depressed than usual. Her eyebrows knitted slightly, her usual cheerful expression missing as it was replaced with a look of sorrow —- the thought of Masaru being dead clearly occupying her mind.

She only snapped out of that trance when Jolie spoke up. If only Eagle had told her about Masaru’s death privately, she wouldn’t have made the atmosphere so awkward for the new recruits. Armel had already followed quickly after Ichiro while Kouki was trying to lighten the mood. “Yeah, the faster we get out there, the better,” she agreed as she rose up from her seat and did her best to keep up with Kouki and his long strides.

When they exited the building, the three immediately found Armel and Ichiro lingering off to the side. It didn’t seem Ichiro was doing any better than he was inside which made her not want to make eye contact with him. She kept telling herself not to let Masaru’s death affect her emotions, she didn’t have that luxury, not when they were just about to start their routine patrols. “The Nozomi Market is around a thirty-minute walk. I can carry one person with my quirk but we do have agency vehicles if Ichiro is fine with driving.”

Bright blue eyes glanced over towards Krauss whilst he explained his quirk.
She knew that it had something to do with firearms, having seen it in action merely months ago. The American grimaced as she remembered the ringing in her ears as he fired off numerous shots at Magma. Letting the memory fade, she let out a quiet sigh, before backing herself up so that she was leaning on the wall facing the elevator doors. "So sad, no finger guns for Goggles. How will you be able to greet your peers with style?" She shook her head solemnly, clearing messing with the stoic man.

Looking around to the rest of her group, Charlie decided that she should explain her quirk next, since it was her idea to have this little orientation anyhow. "My quirk is named Techno-kinesis. I can manipulate anything powered with electricity within a three mile radius. I'm currently working with some support gear specialists to see if I can up the distance, and become a little more useful when it comes to combat. Otherwise, I can prove to be quite useful when it comes to surveillance or even shutting down certain threats." Charlie shrugged, "It all depends, really. I will admit, though, I'm not much of a fighter. I can hold my own, obviously, but nothing like super strength or reflexes." The raven-haired woman decided to be up front about her blatant weakness, trying to ignore the bubbling frustration that arose because of it.

"Ding!"

The sound of the elevator doors pulling themselves open prompted her to push herself off the railing behind her, walking out as she continued to speak. "I can split my focus to different areas depending on the tech that's nearby, but, the more my mind is split, the less strong my hold on said technology is. And.. since my mind sort of.. lets itself in, it's best for me to not be spread too thin."

Looking around the garage, Charlie furrowed her brow, quickly realizing that she didn't drive here. She turned to Krauss, "Uh.. so why the garage? Are you driving, Goggles?" The rookie didn't mean to distract from the explanation of powers, but her curiosity peaked to a point where she couldn't ignore it. None of her team members mentioned any form of transportation, and up till this point, she was simply following the taller hero, assuming he knew what he was doing.

Ichiro's eyes shifted to the voice, noticing that it was the new recruit that spoke up. He didn't expect him to know the details about Masaru and while Ichiro wasn't in the best mood to explain, a short explanation would hopefully keep the new recruit from asking more questions, "Masaru was a young prospect we employed...well... used to employ. Let's just say we had a fairly simple mission, and we weren't expecting much out of it. Things weren't how they seemed, and we were quickly embroiled in a fight. During that fight, young Masaru ended up collapsing into a hole in the earth." The rest was self-explanatory, considering that Masaru wasn't standing next to him right now. "Word of advice, never let your guard down. There is a knife at every corner." Ichiro turned in the direction of the new arrivals, watching Kouki meticulously throw away his cigarette. I would have just thrown it out if you were gonna do that.

He felt no excitement for the current task at hand, especially with the unsuspecting bomb that Ruri dropped on everybody. He didn't try to hide his current emotions anymore, his face filled with discontent. Ichiro really wouldn't have minded a thirty-minute walk to get to their location, it would have allowed him to collect his thoughts. He knew what was coming and he disliked it with every fiber in his body, "I can use the company vehicle since you all need a taxi service. I just need to go back into the office to get the key." The last thing he wanted to do was drive everybody around, but it always came to doing just that. "I'll pull the vehicle around to pick you up, be good, especially you Aladdin." Looking at Kouki's quirk gave him a good idea for a nickname, and he was going to use it. It was the only thing that he could come up with to try and brighten the mood.

Ichiro begun his walk back into the office, his hands stuffed into his pocket. Luckily, they had a key in the lobby that he could grab, he'd just have to remember to put it back. Once he had the key in his hand, he made his way over to the garage. Upon entering, he noticed Krauss's group gathered in the garage. He wasn't excited to see them, especially Charlie. He didn't bother speaking to them, the only thing that would have alerted them of his presence was his footsteps. He twirled the keys on his finger as he made his way to the company vehicle. He was inside and had the vehicle started in a jiffy. He took no time in pulling the car out of the garage, turning to where everybody was located. The vehicle slowed to a stop as Ichiro pulled the vehicle next to the group, rolling down the window. "The Eagle agency taxi service has arrived." He said, retrieving another cigarette from his pocket. His lighter was struggling to get a flame lit, but after a few tries he successfully lit it. He blew the smoke out the window, resting his hand out the vehicle's window to prevent any smoke from getting inside.

Kathy moved out of her office and began to make her way down. Now she would have taken the elevator, but she found the stairs a little bit more relaxing as her boots clicked onto the floor of each step she took and echoed within the hall of stairs. She was definitely deep in thought, Hopefully with everyone in their own respective groups, our newest members can gain more experience and we no longer experience such devastating cases on their first days...We've had enough of those already tarnishing a lot of the reputation... she thought. It was time to show the people that Eagle Agency can hold their own and they had the right people to pull it off, even if it may not look like it. Taking a deep breath she finally got to the bottom of the stairs and pushed open the door, coming out next to the elevators. The Hero walked towards the lobby and found Shinobu with Tsuki, seemingly waiting for her to get a move on. "Sorry for the wait..." she said softly as she came up to the couch. She put her hand on her hip and looked between the two for a moment This is going to be interesting with the three of us...We really don't talk much in general but I guess that means a peaceful run till something comes up.

"Have we decided where we wanted to go yet?" she asked "If not we can grab a map and see which would be the best area to take a look..." she would have sat down, but there would have been no point. Upon inspecting Tsuki, she noticed that the rain stopped, but yet she still felt bad for him knowing it hit close to home. "Also we should make sure we have our ear pieces in case we get separated..."

Glancing down towards Charlie who was the first to reply to his question, Freed could not help but focus upon her height. Despite his bad posture -slanted shoulders and arched back-, he still maintained a considerable height advantage over her; a tiny victory for the man whom had been on the losing end so far. His victory would be doubled when he turned to Tatsuo who like Charlie was shorter than Freed. Another small victory.

Doing his best to avoid eye contact with Krauss; Freed would keep his sightline lowered fidgeting on the spot as his hands still tightly clasped the omamori Tatsuo had given him, though a nervous grin had appeared upon his face. While it may have been a simple gesture on her part, Freed could not deny feeling a smidgen of joy at being awarded a present on his first day. It was definitely better then a bullet to the head like Krauss had offered. He'd return his focus to Charlie, selfishly expecting her to offer to give him something as well; though nothing would come aside from an answer to his question.

"P.. patrol." replied Freed softly, already lamenting the fact that this probably meant they were going to be outside.. in public... amidst a lot of people. "Th.. that.. so.. sounds easy.." he'd muster, attempting to hide his nerves and displeasure towards the idea of being outdoors as well as to not look pathetic again. A quick squeeze of his new omamori as he took a few deep breaths, trying to maintain calm. He remembered reading somewhere that 'first impressions' were very important... and he at least wanted to try salvage his. That being said, the scoff from down the hallway would not help with the nervousness. Charlie and the others however didn't appear too concerned.

With the man shuffled away, Freed's attention would be drawn back to Charlie as his new senpai continued to speak. Out of the three team mates he had been paired with, both her and Tatsuo had been the most professional thus far and were slowly becoming role models for Freed to try and follow; should he seek to etch out a professional career. Charlie with her no nonsense professionalism and Tatsuo with her calm, caring and welcoming approach. Krauss on the other hand, he was a role model for an entirely different purpose. Replicating his visage wouldn't be that hard for Freed and his wisp like minions. Should Freed once again find himself being harassed by thugs in the night; a quick 'surprise' appearance of Krauss holding a gun would surely prove to be intimidating enough to get them to leave. A close eye would be kept on Krauss's demeanour. Only a perfect illusion would capture the gangster appeal.

'Sl..slacker...?' thought Freed, wondering if Charlie had meant that in a serious tone or was doing that thing... office banter..?.

Trying to decipher her comment would be put on the back burner for Freed, who now found himself walking behind the others, his gaze shifting away from Charlie and towards Krauss as he began to divulge his quirk. A small wisp would appear atop Freed's hair; its little face squinting in the direction of Krauss as it studied the mans habits; taking particular note of the gun hand that the man had made. Freed however would have the rest of his attention honed towards the mans explanation as they made their way into the lift. He really was a gangster,

Closer to the lift, it would be Charlie that spoke next and it didn't take long for her to fully grasp Freed's attention; for all the wrong reasons. Excitement began to well up inside of Freed as she began explain her quirk; the mere mention of Techno-kinesis was all it took for Freed to begin to dream. While it may have appeared that Freed was fully listening to her explanation, the truth was sadly far from it.

'T..TECHNO-KINESIS?!'
he'd almost blurt out, though he managed to place both hands over his mouth to stop himself from looking the fool.
Standing before Freed was a practitioner of Techno-Kinesis... what could be more perfect. With her abilities, Freed's gaming consoles could in theory be augmented.. his gaming pc pushed to the limit, his TV modified to perfection, his Wifi boosted... unlimited money on his mobile games... the potential was endless. Heck, his old game boys and consoles could even be fixed... what's more... a quick trip to an ATM and his money issues would become non existent. She was the perfect cheat code for the ideal life that Freed envisioned. 'How fortunate she was to have been blessed with such a quirk' Freed thought to himself, feeling a tinge of envy.

Freed would find himself enthusiastically nodding to Charlie's explanation; though really he was already lost in his own fantasies; simply walking on auto pilot as he entered the lift alongside the others; eventually arriving at the garage. Freed had remained rather tight lipped on his own quirk, casually glancing down at Tatsuo every now and then as he awaited to hear hers.

The warm dull taste of black coffee hit Tsukuymoi’s tongue, as he skimmed through insignificant parts of Jolie’s file. He sat there peacefully reading as the rest of his team was M.I. A. His time of peace and quiet didn't last though. “Oh, Tsuki ~~! How does it feel to be stuck with me for the third time?” He looked up from his tablet and glanced at the white-haired boy. “Don't take this the wrong way, but your presence is insignificant to me” he said bluntly with a smile. “My job is to protect and help others. The people that I work with don't change my work ethic.” He proceeded to sip on his drink. A small awkward silence happened until Shinobu broke it. "I don’t know if you heard, but Nakano got sent to the void… so it might just be us three once Kathy gets here.” The dark-haired man sat there in disbelief. Was this true? He didn't hate the cat but having one less person that creates drama with others, specifically Ichiro, is amazing. He gave a non-verbal response about the missing feline, hoping that his facial expression was enough for the young rookie.

“The files you’re reading are ones of us, yeah? What kinda info’s even on them, anyway?” Never thinking that anyone will be this persistent in talking to him before, Tsuki decided to play ball with this one. He finished what was left in his thermos and gave his full attention to the newbie. “Well since you’re so interested in what I am doing, most of these files have information on those people's quirks in order for the agency to know who is the best to send to specific catastrophes.” He leaned back into the sofa that he was sitting on and cleared his throat. “Let me give you an example. Your file says that you are charismatic and you care about your self-image.” He explained details about Shinobu’s quirk, specifically about how his blood is a core part of how his power affects others. He looks down at the young hero and wondered if he had any scars from him using his power. Uncomfortable silence came over the two of them. Tsuki wasn’t trying to be an asshole to Shinobu. He just gave the rookie what he wanted, some answers. “At the end of things, the reason why I read these is not to break people's right to privacy. I do it in order to make sure they’re not only civilians are safe but my colleagues as well. We already have enough people in this agency to act like dumbasses; I don’t need someone playing hero when they’re clearly injured out of their mind.”

Soon after that scene, Kathy finally joined the group allowing them to get down to business. "Sorry for the wait..." Tsukuyomi kindly greeted Kathy with a wave and a smile. The atmosphere definitely changed awkwardly to more positive since she joined the two. Tsuki wasn’t trying to make things awkward between him and the recruit. If you want a direct answer from the dark-haired man, he’s going to give you a well-informed one unless he sees you as an annoyance. "Have we decided where we wanted to go yet? If not we can grab a map and see which would be the best area to take a look..." knowing the area around the Agency is already well patrolled he thought an easy and calm place to patrol would be in the higher end area. “Harajuku Is very busy this time of day probably would be a perfect place to patrol.” Soon after they discussed if they wanted to go to the place that he recommended, Kathy reminded the group not to forget their earpieces in case anyone got separated. Tsuki thanked her for reminding him, he almost forgot to turn his on.

Before the three remaining members of Ichiro and Ruri's team could leave, a woman dressed as a shrine maiden approached, handing each member an 'omamori'. Jolie graciously accepted the gesture, carefully plucking her 'omamori' from the shrine maiden's hands. "Thanks, I've never really been given one of these before..." she commented as she fiddled with the item in her hands, examining its various small intricacies before looking up towards the stranger once more. "Hope your mission goes well too!"

So let's get a move on!"

"Oh—yes! Let's get a move on!" Jolie repeated, matching Kouki's infectious enthusiasm. Following Kouki's farewell to the rest of the remaining heroes, he immediately began exiting the building, with Jolie following suit. Eventually the trio reconvened with their remaining group members outside the building. While Kouki and Jolie carried on with a certain pep to their respective steps, the rest of their group seemed rather somber, with Ruri and Ichiro specifically very likely mourning their fallen comrade. Jolie wasn't quite certain if she should offer any words of comfort, though before she had to make a decision, Kouki spoke up once more: "Apologies for that. Anyways! This Nozomi Market area, is it far away? If so, how do we plan on getting there? Walk, taxi, car, train...? If there weren't so many of us..."

“The Nozomi Market is around a thirty-minute walk. I can carry one person with my quirk but we do have agency vehicles if Ichiro is fine with driving.”

Before another member could agree to a torturous thirty-minute walk, Jolie blurted, "A car would be great!"

"I can use the company vehicle since you all need a taxi service. I just need to go back into the office to get the key."

Only a few minutes had passed until Ichiro arrived in a company vehicle, rolling a car window down as he beckoned his team to enter. Without any further thought, Jolie immediately rushed into the car, occupying a seat that was the furthest within the vehicle. Silently yet enthusiastically she gestured the rest of her team inside, calling them with a, "Let's hurry over there!"

“Don’t take this the wrong way, but your presence is insignificant to me. My job is to protect and help others. The people that I work with don’t change my work ethic,” explained Tsukuyomi, causing Shinobu to blink and look towards the former―though other than that, the albino appeared relatively indifferent to the implications of what was just said. I don’t know who peed in his cheerios, but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t so cold just a little bit ago. Maybe the Masaru-thing has something to do with it… While the situation to him wasn’t awkward, per se, there was a clear sense of tension coming from the other male. Well, it is what it is, I guess.

Taking note of the disbelief written across Tsukuyomi’s features when he brought up Nakano’s disappearance, he stifled a laugh―Huh, did he forget that the same thing happened with Jin, too? Right in front of our faces, at the hotel?

Finally, he moved on to the question at hand; exactly what kind of things are on the files? He briefly explained that they detailed everyone’s quirks (as expected) and were used for the higher ups to decide who was more suitable to handling different situations (also expected). The thing that stood out to Shinobu, however, lied in what the dark-haired man had to say next. “Let me give you an example. Your file says that you are charismatic and you care about your self-image,” he’d recite, before mentioning “My World”, as well. His explanation would wind up ending with, “... I don’t need someone playing hero when they’re clearly injured out of their mind.”

“Wait, so they add personality in official files now? … I wonder who’s the one getting and putting that information down,” Shinobu pondered aloud, though his words held a tone of content towards Tsukuyomi’s answer. Suddenly, his expression contorted into one of exaggerated realization. “Woah, what if… they could just put anything they wanted…??”

Around that time, a third figure made her presence known to the two, and he greeted her with a grin and a wave as the conversation shifted to the topic of where they’d patrol at. At hearing Tsukuyomi’s suggestion, he nodded excitedly. “I was considering Harajuku as I came down here! Glad we’re on the same page, Tsuki ~” Maybe I can get another pair of shades there. I’ve been wanting some two-toned ones for awhile…

Several seconds of silence passed before he found himself curiously glancing at Katherine, a glint in his azure hues that could easily be interpreted as questioning; she wasn’t very expressive, based off the few times they interacted, so it was hard to tell if she was for the idea or not (knowing how… eccentric Harajuku could be). I mean, he assumed that if anything she’d be neutral about it, but... After some thinking, he looked back and forth between his two colleagues, a lightbulb having visibly went off in the back of his head.

“Anyway, yeah. If you think it's busy now, just wait until classes get let out for the day. Speaking from my experiences there, a lot of things tend to go down once it's crowded enough, though that said, I don’t know how long we’ll need to be out there for," noted the ivory-headed male. "Buuuuut, also, if it means anything... should it turn out that we have time to stop for lunch, I actually know this café that's really good, sweets and savory stuff alike! And that should tell you something, coming from me* ☆"

He turned his attention to Kouki and the others just as they were following up, only to give his full attention back to Ichiro just as the explanation was being given. Honestly, he had been hoping for something a bit more than what Ichiro had given, but it was enough and fairly understandable to not get anymore than he had bargained for anyway. A part of him wanted to say something, but ultimately he decided to drop the subject. Without really knowing Ichiro well he couldn't have said anything more, and trying so hard when he hardly knew Masaru felt wrong in its own way.

It was Kouki's outspoken presence that drew Armel's attention back to the conversation at hand. At Kouki's question on how they'd be getting to their destination, Armel could not help but eye his senior's strange...carpet?

It made his brow raise certainly. That was quite the interesting quirk from what Kouki's statement implied it certainly seemed like he would be able to use it to travel- the comment made by Ichiro was also something he couldn't help but notice as an obvious hint at what exactly that carpet was capable of.. If Ruriko said it was only a thirty minute walk and implied she could get there while carrying someone it made him wonder what her own quirk allowed her to do also. There was always the fact he could use gravity to follow the others, but honestly getting a ride to their destination was a tempting offer. Though with Ichiro bringing in the car, he decided to just slip into a seat as Jollie gestured them inside.

"You really are excited aren't you?" He chuckled as he took his seat in the back.

The shrine-maiden only nodded politely to Krauss' response. If that method is what's been working out for him, then it wasn't her place to try and change that. Still... "At least keep in mind that not everyone will respond as harmlessly as he, regardless of if they are good aligned or not." After that, they decided to stop causing a ruckus amid the agency halls and head down to the elevator.

Charlie then brought up the idea to debrief each of their Quirks to the newer rookie. Tatsuo smirked; seemed that the Miko's mind hadn't fully returned from vacation mode. She quietly watched over her teammates explain their Quirks, giggling quietly as Krauss motioned his finger guns, and realizing that she never actually knew what Charlie's powers were. Note to ask Tsuki about rookie files next time around...

Then the elevator rang, and the elevator ride ended before Tatsuo even had a chance to talk. As Freed looked back at her one last time, though, she stepped forward in her usual, serene gait. "My Quirk is 'Kannagara.' It's what connects me to the kami of the world and lets them pass judgement on whomever, whether their effects are benevolent or malicious. It takes time for it to ramp up, however, and my Quirk is not exactly suited for front line action." Tatsuo tilted her head endearingly at Freed. "You'll know if the kami are guiding you."

Amused by Charlie's inquiry, she then raised a brow at her. "Did you wish to walk across the city blocks?" she said playfully. The shrine-maiden pulled ahead of her.

She met eyes with Freed, smiling warmly. Anyone could tell how he felt, and in a way it was simply adorable; she recalled how she acted during her rookie years. "It's normal to feel anxious if this is your first day on the job. When I first joined, I had the cutest little pillow I would hug when nobody was watching, all to calm myself down!" She giggled fondly at the memories, but piped down as she walked beside Freed, keeping eye contact. Her voice also softened. "But try your best not to let your nerves get the better of you. Plus, you can always count on us; I would love nothing more than for you to integrate into our team." She'd now walked past her team, keeping her hands over her chest and draped in sleeves. At one step, she paused and tilted her head to the side where everyone caught a glint of her lowered eye. "And I don't plan on losing another rookie..."

Hearing Jolie blurt out her preference on how to get to the Nozomi Market earned a smirk from Ruriko. She was also in the same boat as the rookie, she did not want to walk the full thirty minutes there, and even if the team had decided that she probably would have just transformed and got a head start on them. “Driving it is then,” she nodded as she cast a sideways glance to Ichiro who was already one step ahead of her, walking back to the agency to retrieve the vehicle. Her attention then settled on Kouki, more specifically the fabric he had pulled out earlier as a suggestion for transportation. Come to think of it, she didn’t know anyone’s quirk besides Ichiro’s. She was curious to find out what they were but if they were going to hope for a smooth patrol, then she may not find out today.

After a few minutes of waiting, Ichiro finally had pulled the vehicle around the building, stopping in front of the group. Ruriko watched Jolie and Armel enter the vehicle first, occupying the backseats. “Shotgun,” she smirked at Kouki as she rushed over to the passenger’s door. Opening the door, she quickly climbed in, “just like old times, huh?” Although, their time apart really wasn’t that long, so could it really be considered old times? “Hopefully your driving improved over the past three months.” She chuckled lightly as she pulled the seatbelt over herself, the sound of a ‘click’ indicating that she was ready to go.

Pulling out her phone, she immediately connected herself to the vehicle’s Bluetooth. It was a known rule that the passenger always handled the music selection, right? “Here’s a song I heard in America, I think you’ll like it.”

Katherine looked between the two, taking note that Harajuku was going to be their respective place of patrol. Shinobu seemed fine with it, especially after basically saying that after classes things would be more crowded and lively in the location. "We're there to patrol, not eat lunch...If we don't hear anything then maybe we can take a small break..." she said softly as someone ran up to her, grabbing her arm and causing the female to glance over at a Dark Haired female who looked fairly serious. Her clothes seemed shredded and left little to the imagination. Those lavender eyes shifted down and back up to her as the girl spoke "Hey, Nexette, I heard there was a new mission for you to take on by Higa. Not sure about the details, but she wanted me to grab you before you went off with patrol - Which by the way I'll be taking your spot - with the group." Kathy stared at her before letting out a soft sigh and a brief nod "Well I suppose I'll be going to do that. Thank you..." she said before realizing something "You're Creed, I heard they were putting you through testing before actually letting you out on the field...."

"Haaa...Yeah. They decided to switch you with me because Patrols aren't so bad. Plus I wont really run the risk of certain things for right now." she said as she laughed and rubbed the back of her head "But yeah, Higa is waiting in her office." while Nexette nodded, she looked to her teammates and spoke "Guess I'll be departing from the group for now. If you havent heard, this is Scarlet Creed. She'll be joining you today... You guys stay safe out there. Please don't collapse the place..." with that said, she bowed a bit and then removed herself from the area and to the elevators to go up into the building. Meanwhile Scarlet smiled and waved her off before looking between the two men in front of her and pointed to Shinobu "Shinobu." then she pointed to Tsukuyomi "Tsukuyomi." it was clear she already knew about the group she'd be assigned with and who would be her current group for the time being. "Its great to meet you both in person." she held out a formal hand greeting to Tsukuyomi and a high five to Shinobu "Hope you don't mind having me tag along for the patrol today."

Scarlet was glad to be back on the field, after one of her oopsies, she knew she'd be out for a while. Though they finally deemed her worthy to come back and being assigned to the top group was definitely an experience "I will say, yes, I am young, but I'm not as immature as one might think." she flashed them both a warm smile and awaited the shake and the high five once either had been achieved, or even both, she put her hands on her hips and gestured to the door with her chin "Let's get our asses out of here and head to Harajuku."
