Here's sheet. I might end up adding a picture, depends on if I manage to draw him decently enough at some point.

Name:

Gabriel Oakfield.

Age:

19.

Gender/Pronouns:

Male/He.

Sexuality:

Bisexual. A bit hesitantly/awkwardly so, as he's not entirely sure how to treat it because of abilities.

Appearance:

Gabriel has medium blonde hair that reaches his ears in the front and is a bit longer in the back, as well as green eyes. He’s about 5’11”, and of an average, not so athletic build. He’s sort of good-looking, but the fact that he likes wearing shirts with sweater-vests or simply sweaters over shirts, as well as a simple pair of jeans, doesn’t really make him that popular when it comes to possible girlfriends (or boyfriends), as he comes off as a little too “goody-good”.

Personality:

Gabriel is a calm individual with a high level of social intelligence. He’s adept at reading situations and people, partly due to his powers, and partly due to an exceptional social skill. Often described as charming and friendly, he tries to make as many friends as he can, as he considers it better to seem weak and friendly than to make a lot of enemies. Because of this, he can ignore insults and remarks thrown his way, or try to address them in a more empathic way, even get hurt as opposed to angry. He is rather curious, almost childishly so.

That said, he can seem rather callous, especially to people opposing what he considers important. He’s a liar and a manipulator by nature, but is by no measure a psychopath, people aren’t tools unless they need to be, and even then it is for a “greater good”. His skill with words is mostly due to being brought up with strict rules and needing to bypass those. He’s driven by emotion more than reason, and is afraid of people touching him due to his powers, which is getting harder to avoid. If he feels strongly compelled to it or it is deemed important, he’ll read someone’s memories, but he generally avoids using his powers with people, limiting it to objects and some spirits. He’s been spending more time alone lately, due to the increase of sensitivity in his powers, and is finding it difficult to interact with people without keeping his distance. This troubles him greatly, making an awkward time in his life even more difficult. He can also be somewhat petty, for the most baffling reasons.

Power:

Different forms of Clairvoyance; Psychometric and the ability to see and interact with spirits. Because of this, any person who comes in contact –skin to skin- with Gabriel will have a random memory seen by him, or flashes of different ones. It is possible for him to see a specific one if the person he touches concentrates on it strongly. Similarly, he can touch items and locate the person it belongs to either in the real world or among the spirits, and he can read recent memorable events that has taken place around such an item. Of course, some importance have to be placed on them, like a murder weapon or a wedding ring. He can’t control it, though prolonged contact doesn’t bring more memories, there needs to be a break between contacts.

He can also communicate with and observe spirits. That said, he communicates with them through reading their memories rather than speaking, as many of them are incapable of such a feat. Because of this, he isn’t capable of doing anything but gleam what might be the reason they are there. He doesn’t sense every ghost, far from it, so anyone with a more specialized ability would wonder if he even saw anything.

Bio:

Gabriel was born into a rather religious family to a pair of parents that had been having a hard time conceiving. He was regarded as somewhat of a miracle child, and raised with a lot of love and attention, along with faith and strict rules. Because of this, he has always been known as a somewhat sheltered boy, and it's surprising he ended up as attentive as he did. When he started seeing spirits, still at a young age, he believed that the beings he saw was angels, and started telling his parents about them. For a couple of years, those visions passed as the fantasy of a child, though they grew increasingly worried, even taking him to a child psychologist to make sure he was fine, as they believed in god, but not spirits. Eventually, he stopped talking about them to his parents and to most other people. From the outside, he was a healthy, good natured boy who did his best in school, and got good, but not fantastic results out of it. It was only part of the truth.

The only one who he kept talking to about his abilities was his grandmother, and she kept a watchful eye over him, though she couldn’t help him when his Psychometric abilities started surfacing, during his teens. Suddenly, touching people and certain things would make him see pictures and visions of the past, often that he wish he hadn’t seen, making it difficult to act as if it was nothing. Yet again, his grandmother was the one he told, and he goes to her whenever he needs someone to talk to. Some would say he’s just tending to his old grandmother, but honestly, she is more of a support to him than the other way around. His relationship to his parents is at best, strained, as he became disillusioned with religion once he saw how his parents reacted to the recent events, though he had spent most of his teens having doubts because of his powers.

He’s currently working part-time in a small coffee-shop, while also studying psychology part-time at a university out of town, which requires him to take the bus every now and then, but he spends most of his time in Abhorrence. Of course, with how tense it has been lately, he’s considering moving for his next year and studying full-time, especially because of the trouble he could get in because of his own abilities.
