Fandom X-Men: Legacy

Peter made it to the door of Logan's office and knocked on it.

" It's open." yelled Logan.

Peter open the door with a smile and said " Hey, Mr.Logan. Have you been working out? It really sho-"

"Cut the crap, Bub! What do you want?" Logan looked pissed.

Dang, I didn't do anything yet and it already looks like wants the kick my a$$. Peter sat in a chair, sitting up straight. "Alright. I'll get to the point. I want in..."

"I'm not a psychic so, explain."

"I want in on the mission." Peter's expression changed to a stern look. "I would like the experience fighting along side the other X-men."

Logan's fingers were intertwined and cover his mouth. "Hmm..." Logan raised a eyebrow.

Peter looked Logan in his eyes, both staring each other down. For at least five minutes in was like this, no one taking a eye off each other, until Logan cleared his throat. "Sure, Go a head but, if you screw up, you will be grounded from all missions for a month."

Peter smirked. " Sound fair..." He got up out of the chair and walk towards the door. "Thanks, Logan."

Logan smiled as Peter left then proceeded to finish what he was doing.

Peter walked down the hall to the lounge area where he hopped on a sofa and preceded to land down in a very comfortable position.

"Shapeshifting? Sounds cool. And you don't seem to represent darkness much to me." Kyra shrugged. "You seem like a pretty fun person to be around." She said. She thought it slightly odd how Nicolette had guessed her power so easily. She wished she could read people so easily. "How'd you figure out your power?" She asked, hoping to make a new friend.

Nicolette froze at the sound of the question and looked down briefly. She looked back up at Kyra not bothering to smile anymore. "In order for it to make sense I'd have to start from the beginning and I'm not comfortable talking about my past," she admitted with a hint of sadness in her voice. She gulped, forcing down the tears threatening to form as she thought about everything that had happened to her.

"But ugh besides Raven's backstory how about yours." Devon could feel that the mood changed drastically from that one question. With a funny feeling in his stomach he knew it was about time to change the subject. "So, where is Firestater from exactly." He smirked back at Stan remembering what the season fighter called him. "If gramps doesn't mind me asking." He said cockly leaning against the room's door post.

"I guess I should explain my whole backstory. I'm from Chicago. My parents died when I was ten. And don't go trying to comfort me, saying you're sorry or something. I'm over it. I'm sad about it, but I'm over it. But anyway, I decided I didn't want to go to an orphanage, so instead I ran. I got into a lot of fights. Like, a lot. I'm surprised I'm still alive, in fact. Then I heard about this school for mutants." After a few seconds, she added "Is there any actual schooling done here? Because I haven't been to school since I was ten."

"Hmm.. sounds like you are screwed." Peter said as he looked at Kyra. "We come here to learn to control our gifts but; also get a education so, we don't end up in a gutter somewhere after leaving this place. The classes aren't that hard so, if you open the book once a while so, think about that when you are in class. "

Nicolette looks up after a while and stares into Kyra's eyes. "I was born in Australia but moved here to live with my grandmother when I was four because my parents were shot and killed. Everything was fine until she died of lung cancer so I've been living in a foster home since I was twelve." She starts tearing up a bit but quickly wipes them away. "I found out about my abilities when I was packing up my grandmother's things. I saw a note from my parents explaining to her about them. Naturally I didn't believe it until I was eating breakfast one day and my arm automatically turned into a tiger's." After she finishes talking she looks down, "Wouldn't have made sense if I just said I found a letter." She couldn't help but smile a bit.

"I learned of my powers when I saved my first love" Stan smiled wide "It was cloudless summer day, the sun shined bright, He was roofing on his three story home, he made a mistake and tripped, but without even thinking it i was instantly there to catch him. Any normal person would have freaked out but it turned out he was a mutant as well, he could breathe under water." Stan leaned forward and folded his hands "Sadly Halifax is a notorious for it's ant-mutant activists, they found him out and lynched him. I fled, and filled with so much anger I joined the Mutant superiority terrorist cell, Deities, That's where I got my name. there were five of us; Triton, Gaea, Fenrir, Abadon, and of course me, Helios. I left them because I knew it was only hurting mutants. eventually Charles Xavier found me and offered me a way to help others like myself." Stan sniffs and wipes a tear from his face but quickly returning to a slight smirk.

"You didn't have to tell me" Kyra said to Nicolette. "I'm sorry..." Then, talking to Peter she said "Okay... I guess I'll try to keep up" Maybe she should have just stayed in Chicago. She didn't have to go to school there. She could just steal what she needed. But, she had made it all the way here, so she might as well give it a shot.

Nicolette gave her a small smile, "Don't worry about it. If you're gonna be here you might as well know since everyone else does." She situated herself in the chair and laid her head back. "Honestly I heard about this place when some punks on my block here teasing a kid that lived with me. I hunted it down and they took me in. I may seem like a witch sometimes and I don't like anyone here but they're like my family. I'm just not big on showing my feelings is all."

He resisted the urge to blush as the smaller man embraced him, not entirely sure what to do with his hands, so he didn't move.

"Heh. So what have you been up to lately?" Darren asked, leaning a hip against the counter and turning down his music. "Planning on going on that mission?" He added curiously, opening a cabinet to grab cereal and a bowl as he talked.

"Okay." Kyra said. "Well, I heard about it when one of my friends discovered I was a mutant. She asked me why I didn't go here." Kyra said, remembering the event. She sighed. "She's not around anymore... Neither are most of my friends. I guess I'm just bad luck."

"You already know Uncle Logan is gonna drag me along," Evan teased, adding sugar to his cup. He saw one of his peers enter the room and silently moved certain objects out of the way. The boy had a special place in Ev's heart--all of the students did. "Besides, I have a few great names to live up to." he finished, sipping the sweet, dark roast.

"I heard few new minds today. Maybe we should go introduce ourselves?" He asked the room, a playful smile dancing across his lips.

Nicolette gave a small, sad smile to Kyra, "I guess everything happens for a reason." She shook her head slightly. "On a lighter note if you're gonna be here then you're gonna need a room. I'd prefer to keep my dull, silent status here but I'm sure someone, oh I don't know, more experienced can show you around," she gave a light chuckle and stood up. "Would you mind that, Stan?"

Ryan rolled off his bed and hit the ground hard, "...ow". He sat right up and looked around as he rubbed the back of his neck. His room was a bit dark because he had shut the blinds the previous night. Ryan stood up, did his usual morning routine, and went out into the hallway. He heard some voices, but decided to walk the other way as he rubbed his eyes still tired from the previous night.

Stan gave a big smile "I'd love to, It never gets old living here, because there is always something happening" Stan put his camera back in his bag "come on Firestarter, I'll show you two your room and I'll answer any questions you have along the way.

"Lead the way." Kyra said. If all the teachers were this nice, maybe school wouldn't be so hard. Of course, it would be difficult, but she could handle it, just like she'd handled everything else that had happened to her. However, she wasn't exactly looking forward to being embarrassed in class because she didn't know something that everyone else did.

Nicolette found her way back to the kitchen and stopped momentarily. She never was good at deciding what she wanted to eat and it seemed as though that wasn't changing any time soon. She walked into the kitchen and looked through the cabinets briefly. She sighed to herself and grabbed an apple. As she took a bite, she fixed herself a small glass of water and sipped on it.

Stan took kyra through the halls of the mansion showing her the many painting and pictures. Stan finally brought Kyra to her room "here it is dear, room 240, right now you have this room to yourself, but we might give you a room mate. I'm excited to have you in my class, I teach human and mutant history, I'm also trying to get a little club started, maybe you'd be interested. Do you have any questions?"

Kyra walked through the halls, looking at the paintings and pictures in awe. She'd never seen anything like it. It was beautiful. "What kind of club are you talking about?" She asked. "And who exactly was Jean Grey?"

Ryan decided to take a walk outside. He stepped out and started his wandering. Suddenly, Ryan remembered his skateboard hidden behind a bush. He picked up his board then quickly started skating around. As he cruised, a squirrel randomly popped out in the middle of no where causing Ryan to swerve away and flip onto the ground, "Holy...I'm not even going to say it". He stayed down then sighed, "Today is just not my day..."

"When I was still a young man, a man named Charles Xavier found me and told me that I can use my powers to help the lives of mutants, at first I thought it was another person trying to recruit me for another mutant gang, but he also mentioned helping humans as well and so I joined the X-men. Now I think it's time we start making a difference again." "as for your second question, Jean Grey was one of the most powerful mutants to ever live, here mind powers matching those of Charles Xavier. She was a very sweet girl."

"The X-men, huh? What exactly would that entail?" Kyra asked, curious. She thought she'd heard about them before. She wasn't exactly sure what they did though, just that they were mutants who did... Something. Maybe they fought people who tried to attack mutants or something. Maybe they just did fundraisers like selling cookies or something like that for the school. She chuckled at the idea of that.

Nicolette stood quietly, listening to the small talk being made in the kitchen. She threw the core of her apple away and finished her water. She gave a small wave to the few others and walked out then headed upstairs to her room. Upon reaching it, she smiled widely seeing Kyra standing a few doors down talking to Stan. Not wanting to interrupt their discussion she made her way into her room closing the door behind her.

Sitting in a chair near the window, Nicolette opened her notebook and searched for a pen, finding one on a nearby table. She took the cap of the pen off with her teeth, and held it there as she started writing. Many people thought it was a diary because of how possessive and secretive she was about it, but in reality, it was a simple songbook. It was her way of letting her mind wonder.
