X-Men: Legacy - A new generation of X-Men Rises.

1407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center.
This address denotes the location of an undertaking fantastic, inspiring, and all too necessary. There is a mansion there, and it has stood for untold years. In the courtyard out front, there is a bronze statue, slowly turning green with age and air exposure.

It is of a woman, red-haired and beautiful. The statue wears the same uniform that the woman wore in life, down to every last detail. The woman's name is Jean Grey, and she is the namesake of the...

Aaron's eyes fluttered open, although no image greeted him. Despite having never seen anything through his own two eyes, part of him still expected to wake up one morning with all the beautiful world ripe for the viewing. But, today was not that day.

He sighed and took a moment to fully awaken, then loudly knocked on the wall next to him so he could get a working sonar image of his room. Even after the few years he had been there, he still hadn't quite worked out the exact dimensions. Maybe it'd start making sense some day, though.

After a few minutes spent struggling to get dressed, he grabbed his cane from it's place next to the door. It was an exact replica of Dr. House's cane, and Aaron was quite fond of it. He opened his bedroom door, took a moment to process the sound and thoughts bouncing around the hallway outside, then set off for the kitchen. He had forgotten to eat the night before, and his stomach was paying him back for it now.

Nicolette slowly opened her eyes to the bright light of the sun shining in from across the room. She brought her hand up and smiled at the familiar feeling of the small heart-shaped pendant at the end of her necklace she had been handed down from her grandmother.

After slowly forcing herself to get up, she pulled on a plain red tshirt and black jeans, and she a at down on the bed sliding on her red converse. She ran a brush quickly through her hair and threw on some makeup.Opening the door, Nicolette stepped out and looked in either direction before deciding to roam aimlessly down the halls and think about her life.

Stan walked through the halls and spotted Nicolette down the way. "Good morning, young miss!" Stan then pulled out an old polaroid camera "Mind if I take a picture of you? snapped the picture and a instantly appeared next to Nicolette shaking the picture. " aah, I think it turned out well, what do you think?"

Peter was walking down the hall, dressed in his version of casual clothes. He was talking to Nightcrawler about a upcoming mission that he would like to participate in.

"So, What do you think? Can I come?" said Peter with his hands in his pockets and raising a eyebrow.

"Maybe..." said Kurt. "I will have to ask to Logan."

"Really... Logan... You know he hates me for no reason."

"No reason? There is a reason if I remember. "

"What could that be? huh?"

"You tattooed his face to look like a kitten."

"Oh yeah... I forgot about that." Peter rubbed the back of his head. "Well, He got it off."

" By cutting off his face!"

"It grew back." Peter said with a crooked smile. "Have to admit that was funny?" He nudged Kurt with his elbow.

Kurt put his palm to face and sigh. He looked at Peter. "If you want to be apart of the mission, talk to Logan."

"What happen to you talking to him? Why do I have to talk to him now?"

"Cause I said so." Kurt vanish in a puff of smoke, leaving Peter by himself in the hall.

Tch... such a stupid excuse. Peter walked towards Logan's office with a expression that screamed someone help me please.

"...So, why would I even bother saying I'm this all powerful guy, when really I have a red-headed handicap in my head?" To everyone else, Evan looked a little nutty. But, in reality, he was having a conversation with a woman inside his head. "No, I don't need to be reminded of what happened. Yes, I think I can handle it......and I am not sexualluly fustrated!" he yelped, blushing as deep as the color on his head. "I've got things to do mother. I'll speak to you later."

As he bounced doqn the steps, his eyes faded from a blinding white to their normal, soft green irises. Evan sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in total fustration. He strode to the kitchen, starting the process for coffee with his mind, alone. It was a habit of his, etched in his head with the tired moments of the mornings. It had been 5 years, but he felt right at home--for the moat part.

Kyra walked up to Jean Grey's School for Higher Learning. She was wearing a red tank top and jeans, a watch, and a pack, which contained the few possessions she had. She looked in awe at the building. She didn't really know how to get into the school. Did she just knock on the door and say 'Hi, I'm a mutant. Train me'? Or what? She decided to just knock on the front door and see what happened. She walked to the large ornate doors, and knocked hard three times.

Nicolette smile widely and looked at the picture intently and couldn't help but laugh a Stan's excitement. "It looks great if you ask me...of course they always do." She turned around and made her way into the kitchen and looked around. Not too crowded. Everyone must still be asleep Nicolette thought to herself. She sat at an empty table not really wanting to converse with anyone at the moment.

"Sure lets all ignore the door and let the new guy open it, its not like he's busy sleeping or anything at 9:30 on a Saturday." Devon tightened the lasts straps on his red robe as he walked down the long curved stairwell. He skipped rapidly down the steps and unfortunately for him nearly lost his balance on the last step. He took a quick moment to stabilize himself and approached the door. With a quick motion he patted out his hair with his hand a ruffled his robe into place on his body. He cracked open large door enough to put his head through. "Hello welcome to the world's most dangerous place. Home of the most hated people in the world, may I take your order?" His tone was comical yet careless and drowsy and his eyes were barly open. He squinted them to get a better view of the stranger he was talking to and immediately his expression changed to one of shock, and surprise. "OH, hey uhm sorry." He scratched the back of his head embarrassed and opened the door wide. "So uhm, how can I help you?"

Darren bounded toward the kitchen, earphones in and snapping his fingers in time with the music. It was a particularly good morning, and he had heard about the mission his Uncle was leading. He had been away from the mansion for the past few weeks on a SHIELD mission, and had gotten in late the night before.

"Red!" His voice echoed through the kitchen as he walked up behind Evan and clapped him on the shoulder. "I'm back..."

"This is Jean Grey's School for Higher Learning, right?..." She asked, hoping she didn't somehow have it wrong. That would definitely be embarrassing.

Stan appeard behind Devon "why yes it is, young lady. come on in, you're just in time for breakfast." Stan gives Devon a firm pat on the shoulder, "I'll take it from here, sport" said Stand as he motioned the girl outside to come in "What's your name and how'd you find us?"

Nicolette got up deciding not to eat and started walking around a bit. She found herself by the door looking at the girl next to Stan. She sighed shaking her head and said, "Rookie." her accent showing more than shed like.

"Well Kyra, my name is Stan, Stan O'Roger, I'm also known as Helios" Stan heard Nicolette and turned towards her with a big smile "That's right, Raven, we have a new addition to the family. Kyra, this is Nicolette, otherwise known as Raven. lets go somewhere where we can talk and get to know each other."

Stan walked down the hall and led them to the lounge where he sat on a red chair "go ahead and take a seat, now tell us why you've come here."

Nicolette looked over the girl thoroughly and gave a crooked smile. "You know normally I hate newbies...but you're fiery red hair says I might actually make a friend." She smiled fully and looked at Stan asking, "Care to find us a spot?"

"Darren!" Evan exclaimed, giving his favorite person a big hug. He stood a good 5 inches taller than the red-head, but he prefered it that way. "I missed you." He whispered, smiling against Darren's shoulder. The Feral had used his Lobos spirit to mend parts of Evan's mind. It was coming together gradually. He still didn't know exactly who he was or what he'd become--but Evan knew Darren. And that was enough for now.

It has come to my attention..

I seem to have missed the No One Liner rule when I made this. In the future, please insure that your posts are more than a single line, in some way. RedInkKid and Undercovernoob are good examples for what a post should look like.

Aaron, never one for moving quickly, took several minutes longer to reach the kitchen than it would have for anyone else. When he did arrive, he heard the voices of a few others, as well as the hum of the coffee machine. At least there's some coffee already. Won't have to struggle through making it myself.

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, then loudly tapped the wall by the door to give himself some sense of direction. He still felt awkward about it, even though most people in the School were well aware of him by now. Other people announced themselves with a pleasant greeting and a smile. He was stuck tapping a stick against a wall, and he felt a little bit less qualified for this life every time he did.

He shyly waved in the general direction of the others in the room before slowly making his way across the room to a chair, where he took a seat and reached aimlessly until he found an abandoned plate of food. My lucky day. Don't have to feed myself, even.

Nicolette sat in a black chair across from Kyra and gave a polite smile. She look over her bright red hair again, not being able to help but adore it. "I love your hair," she complimented Kyra and leaned back examining her. Nicolette was pretty good at noticing certain qualities everyone had that hinted at their ability by now. She never really did anything a normal person would call fun so she spent some of her free time studying people. She yawned softly still trying to wake up some and asked, "You manipulate fire, don't you." It seemed like more of a statement than she intended, but she couldn't take that back.

"you certainly have come to the right place, Kyra, we'll help you understand and control your powers and you'll meet a wide array of incredibly individuals." Stan takes out his camera "Many of here go by nicknames too, for example I go by Helios, like the god of the sun, because I have the ability of Photoportation, which means I can travel through light, but nickname doesn't always have to relate to the power" Stan takes a picture of kyra and is now suddenly behind kyra looking out the window "well, what nickname do you go by?"

Kyra smiled. "Thanks. And you're right. I do control fire. How'd you guess?" Kyra asked, curious how she could possibly know. "And I go by Firestarter. Not the most creative name ever, but, whatever. I didn't even actually choose it. It's just what people called me. At least, when they weren't running away from me and calling me a witch or a demon." Kyra said. "What's your power, Nicolette?"

Nicolette laughed at her last statement. "We've all been through the witch and demon stage," she said remembering the first time she had changed. She was at her foster home and her arm suddenly turned into that of a tiger's. Snapping back into reality, Nicolette smiled, "I knew because of your hair. It's fiery red. I get bored a lot so I study mutants almost like a game. We each have something about us that gives away our abilities. Like with me it's my cat-like devilish smile. Cat-like hints to an animal which eventually leads to shapeshifter." She places her hands in her lap interlocking her fingers, "I'm a shapeshifter. They call me Raven because they can be known to represent darkness, and obviously so do I."
