Fandom X-Men: A New Generation

Major Cinnamon Bun

Assistant to the Assistant Regional Manager
The world is in a state of tension and mistrust, and most believe, on the brink of war. Humans and mutants are not on the best of terms and the population of mutants is split into two sides.

There are those that believe humans and mutants can, and should work together. That mutants should not exploit their abilities to prove that they are better than humans, but that they should use them to protect and help them.

And there are those that believe mutants are the superior race. They hope to prove this, and eventually come to power, making humans obsolete.

This is you chance to pick a side. Do you follow Charles Xavier and fight along side the X-Men? Or do you follow that Erik Lehnsherr and join the Brotherhood of Mutants in the search for mutant supremacy?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This is not meant to be like The Last Stand, I promise you, I'm not that bad of a person. Your characters can be children of former (or possibly still current) X-Men, or you can create your own original character. There will be plenty of side switching over the the course of this role play, I'm sure of it.

I have not fully developed a plot yet, I'm still working on it, but if you have any questions I will do my best to answer them.

Also various other locations for battles and stuff.

RULES

1) no god-modding

2) make sure you ask before killing off someone's character.

3)cursing is all good, just make sure it's within reason. And if someone asks you to tone it down, just do it.

4) romance if cool as well, just fade to black or time skip if things get super serious. No one wants to read that, this is not that kind of role play.

*5)* (its stared because its super important) Please be active. Try not to post one liners because there really hard to respond to most of the time, try to post at least 5 sentences. And please post at least once a day. If you cant get on for some reason just give me a heads up. I know its summer and people are busy, I totally get that.

I reserve the right to ask you to change certain aspects of you character if I see fit to do so.

If you have read all of these rules I want you to tell me what you characters favorite movie is.

Those allied with the X-Men will start at the school. And those with the brotherhood are going to start in an abandoned warehouse that's is their current home base.

You can write third person or first person. I don't really care as long as your consistent. If you write in first person, please put the name of your character before you start writing stuff, it just makes it easier to identify people that way.

Eve-

I walked along the roof of the warehouse, on look out as usual, I suppose that was the price of having a flying ability, I was always first pick for look out. Not that i really minded, I liked the time I could spend alone, plus, I wouldn't have to be up here for to long though, there were enough of us here that we off every few hours. I doubted that we would be attacked, but you never know, we have more than one enemy and one of those groups could actually be smart enough to find us if they really wanted to.

Kalyn walked around the building in silence. She had been thinking about her life, snapping her fingers so a small flame would appear and light her way through the dark places. She looked down and smiled at her outfit that consisted of yellow shorts, a batman tank top, matching knee high socks and black converse. She sat down in the darkest corner she could find and watched for anyone in silence. She crossed her arms as the flame disappeared and eventually got lost in her thoughts.

Peter walked through the halls of the school in his normal clothing. He was trying to act busy so no one would bother him, because his mind was focused on other things... Well, really just a person. Due to his size, people generally stepped out of his way, only a few like Logan didn't move.

Logan stopped Peter because Logan didn't move, which made Peter look up.

"Logan."

"Hey muscles... What's up?"

"Nothing."

Peter answered too quickly, and Logan couldn't help himself.

"Say Kitty is free now isn't she? I was thinking of taking her out and--"

"Logan, I know you will heal before I kill you, but I can make you hurt."

Logan just smiled, "I'm just jerkin' ya Peter." He slapped Peter's shoulder and moved in.

Peter sighed, and thought to himself "Is it that obvious?"

He gathered his thoughts and continued down the hall toward the gymnasium. Peter had decided he would lift some weights, maybe get his thoughts under control.

Kenny or just North (if your not going to call him 808) walked sat on a dirty couch in the abandon decrepit house. He had his I-pod and was listening to some loud music through his ear phones. With his mutant ability he was able to hear pass his music and catch the steps of people inside the house. Two light ones, One heavier then the other. "This place is almost empty, what kind of brotherhood is this shit." He said propping up his skateboard.

Aaron was walking circles around the school. He didn't really feel like doing anything and just wanted to be on his own. He took a tiny light bulb out of his pocket and randomly turned it on and off with his powers. He always carried a light bulb with him. Just to make sure that he always has light with him. You can argue that he can just carry a phone with him, but he isn't really a fan of phones. Yes when you're in trouble you can quickly call people. But when you're Aaron you also have the chance that you break your phone and buying new light bulbs is cheaper than buying a new phone every month.

Eve-

About half way through my shift someone came up to the roof, it was a girl I recognized them but I had no idea what her name was. They told me that Magneto was calling some kind of meeting and he wanted everyone to be there, they had also sent word to any members of the brotherhood that were not at the warehouse. I wasn't sure how long it would be until the meeting started, there were some groups fairly far away from the home base, but I guessed it wouldn't be too long.

I told the girl that I would be there, I just wanted to do one more sweep around the base, and then I would go to the meeting. She nodded and went back inside. Whatever this was, it was important enough to call every member of the brotherhood here.

Kalyn stood up silently as she saw a flickering light drawing nearer. She automatically knew that it was Aaron. Again. This was at least the third time he had passed her. Just as he passed her again, she decided to speak up. "Hello Aaron," she said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear. She snapped her fingers so her small candle flame would appear in her hand once again, revealing her face. @ChronosDesine

"This place seems so peaceful...everything's quiet...really gives you time to think."

Tali was walking through the corridors of the warehouse, a silver man walking beside her. He had no distinguishable features, looking like a silver mannequin, he couldn't speak but he nodded every so often, this was the best kind of company that Tali could keep ever since becoming an outcast to the humans. Her creation was a bit creepy, no face, muscular (muscular because that was how Tali wanted him to look like...guilty as charged), completely silent except for his footsteps, and absolutely no personality, he acted like a machine.

"Well!"

She clapped her hands together.

"What would you like to do? Oh right...you can't talk! Means you gotta put up with whatever I want to do!"

Tali took the man's hand, his hand shifted like liquid, fusing with her hand as they connected, and she led him further into the warehouse, hoping to find something to do.

Aaron heard someone say his name and stopped to look at the person. ''Oh hey Kalyn, how you doing?'' he asked with a smile, it took him a while to recognize the person. He turned on his light bulb instead of flickering it. It wasn't really necessary since she also had light but he felt better with it. @Lexie

"I'm fine," she said quietly before leaning back against the wall. She decided to give him a polite smile before running her hand through her pitch black hair. She slid back down the wall and crossed her legs. "And you?" she asked, looking up at him. She got rid of her flame so she wouldn't be drained since he had his own form of light. @ChronosDesine

''Fine'' he said. And not much later an uncomfortable silence settled in. ''So euhm.. what are you doing outside?'' he asked to break the silence. He tried to not feel so awkward and focused most of his attention on his light bulb. When he noticed that the little light bulb shined brighter than normal he quickly stopped it and turned it on again. But with the normal amount of electricity. @Lexie

"Becoming lost in my thoughts. I'm surprised you haven noticed me yet. You've passed at least three times already," Kalyn said with a laugh. She could tell he wanted to be alone so she let out a soft sigh. "I'll leave you be," she said in a hushed voice as she stood up. She turned on her heel and started to walk away towards the entrance of the building. @ChronosDesine

''See you later'' he said softly and he continued his round around the school. He sighed when he turned around and almost wanted to face palm. Was he really that bad at talking to people? Or did she saw that he was feeling uncomfortable? He really needed to work on his social skills. The whole walk was filled with thoughts like these until he decided to just walk. No thinking, just following the path.

SEAN

Sean Riker was calmly standing upside down over the swimming pool in the training wing of the Institute. He chose this location to test his powers because if he fell he would't be hitting his head on concrete or the ground but just landing in water. He had been firmly planted on the ceiling for almost an hour lost in thought about all the team members that belonged to this new generation of X-Men, including himself. Kayln and Macy seemed to be hitting it off well so far, but he knew how girls could be. Aaron was friendly enough, but they hadn't really interacted much. He only hoped that any personal conflict they all might have wouldn't effect their team dynamics. He had finally been accepted to the formal team and he wasn't going to let anyone ruin that for him. He truly hoped he could find a family with these people, it had been so long since he'd had a family to call his own.

Determined to make new friends he slowly manipulated the gravity around him and began to descend towards the pool deck. He still wasn't that great at using his powers to essentially fly. He'd simply walked on the wall to the ceiling. He managed to make it after a shaky trip down. He was wobbly in the air. His powers were better suited for object control, but not self control. Xavier had explained that his powers had a lot of potential though, and he didn't take that lightly. If he was going master his powers he'd first have to learn to fly. He headed to the locker rooms to take a shower and calm his thoughts. He needed to get to know his new team.

MACY

Waiting patiently in the foyer of the mansion, Macy Winwright was busy recalling all the animal DNA she'd acquired so far. The list wasn't huge but it was slightly impressive. Living in wealth had worked to her advantage. She wasn't spoiled but she was lucky. Her dad basically took every chance he could to help his daughter with her abilities. In the last year she'd traveled to all sorts of nature preserves and wildlife sanctuaries to acquire as much DNA as she could. He favorites so far had been a beautiful stag and a beautiful serpent eagle. The stag was so powerful and graceful at the same time. It could run fast and kick strong. Perfect for fighting. Yet nothing compared to the wondrous flight that came with morphing into a bird of prey. They were cunning and swift and fearsome to behold.

When she'd first morphed into an eagle she didn't even mind when the animal instinct took over. She simply soared away for hours, riding the warm thermals of the air and letting her eagle mind dominate her actions. That was until she was about halfway through a lovely dinner of freshly killed rabbit. She immediately morphed back to human and couldn't help but vomit. She hadn't gone eagle since but now seemed like a good time. She was supposed to be waiting for Kayln but that girl always seemed to be doing her own thing so she made for the entrance preparing to morph.

Kalyn walked into the building, wrapping her arms around her waist. She noticed Macy and walked up to her with a smile. "What's up?" she asked with a small yawn. She hadn't steeped well the night before, but managed to deal with it.

MACY

"Finally you're here. Did you forget we were supposed to go running together? Come on girly, you're not even dressed. Kitty is not going to be happy with us if we miss another work out session." Kitty Pryde had been rigorously trying to get these two whipped into shape ever since they'd joined the team. Usually they'd try and skip any practice they could, opting to listen to music or anything besides getting all gross and sweaty. Kitty had given them a few stern warning but things had gotten serious. She'd threatened to go directly to the professor and have them removed from the team if they couldn't step up to their responsibilities.

Kalyn silently went to her room and put on a pair of stretchy workout shorts and a black tank top. She slid on her tennis shoes and ran out and back down to Macy. "Sorry I forgot," she said. "I kinda got lost in my thoughts," she explained before turning and walking out of the building,

Aaron decided to just walk around instead of walking circles around the school. He suddenly found himself in front of the locker room and decided to go to the swimming pool. When he was in front of the swimming pool he smiled and looked at the water. Aaron hadn't swim in a long time. He was afraid that something bad might happen. Like electrocuting everyone in the pool, sea or lake. He looked at the pool and sighed.

Peter closed the door to Xavier's office as he walked out, he had just finished talking to Charles about training a few new members of the team. He walked down to the training room and was actually happy about this. Maybe punching things in the simulator would make him feel a little better. Normally Peter did not like to use his abilities except to protect his friends, but today would be an exception. He would be helping new friends become better, and he would be able to let off some steam in a safe environment. He wasn't even sure why he was feeling this way about Kitty... Again. He loved her, and he was pretty sure she loved him, but their jobs were too dangerous, he knew that all to well. He shook his head as he went into the changing room and slid on his classic uniform. It was a little more snug than it use to be, but he was hoping that was because he bulked up.

(@ChronosDesine) (@Lexie) (@UniLad246) The three felt Charles Xavier summon them to the simulator room.

He only had to take three through a small simulator, a few of the others would be there like Logan, Scott, Jean, but they would just be observing. He wondered if Kitty would be there. He hoped for both there and not there. He wasn't sure. Peter was making the adjustments to the simulator. He set it up so they would be fighting regular police and maybe a SWAT Team. They wouldn't really have to worry about being hurt, this simulator was more to teach the new recruits how to disable a human without seriously injuring them. He walked out towards the door that the three would walk through when they changed into their uniforms, as he walked his body turned into his armored form and his steps go a little bit heavier. He thought about the time he had changed as his dropped into the pool after he and Kitty had just met. He liked to imagine its what she felt as she went through walls as he sank to the bottom of the pool. Peter shook his head, he needed to focus. The last thing he needed to do was mess up in front of the newbies.

Kalyn froze momentarily before turning, almost zombie-like. She snapped out of it and straightened up before walking back inside. She looked around for a second and made her way to the training room. She felt as if that's where she needed to go at the moment, but she couldn't explain why. As she walked in, she put on her uniform before quickly french braiding a section and pulling it back with the rest of her pony tail. She cracked her neck and took a deep breath.

Aaron looked up from the pool and felt that he needed to go somewhere. He quickly ran towards the training room. It must sound absurd but he felt like he needed to be there. He felt like he needed to do something there. When he was in the changing room he quickly put on his uniform. Well his uniform? It was just a jumpsuit with an X-Men logo on it. Aaron couldn't decide how he wanted his uniform to look like. So until then he just uses this weird thing.

SEAN

Sean was just getting changed into his street clothes when he felt the summons from the Professor. He abruptly stopped putting his jeans on and switched to his fighting gear. He wasn't sure what they were all needed for but he felt it was important to be prepared. He even threw his hood up just to look a bit cooler. He had always been a huge fan of wearing hoodies, even during a scorching summer day so it was only just that his uniform include a hood. As he arrived in the training room, he noticed the other new recruits gathered around with Colossus in the middle of the room, looking very official and assertive in his metal form. He was glad he had put his uniform on now. "Hey guys, how are ya? Any idea what type of training this is gonna be?"

MACY

Macy followed behind Kayln as they made their way to the training room. Macy was actually relieved that they finally had an excuse for missing one of Kitty's scheduled exercise classes but upon seeing Colossus in the training room she sighed. His lessons were rumored to be as tough as he was and she wasn't looking forward to the aching and pain that would surely follow his class. Macy tended to get battered and bruised pretty easily in fights since almost everything she did was physical combat. Her injuries in morph would follow her back to her human shape and that was never pleasant.

She saw Sean enter, his short red hair was always hard to miss. "Hey guys, how are ya? Any idea what type of training this is gonna be?" he asked them. She always felt a little uncomfortable around Sean. Maybe because he was so much older than the rest of them? But she tried to be polite and said, "Hey. I'm good. How are you? I'm pretty sure Colossus is gonna just beat us up until we can't move but I'm not sure." They were speaking softly so that he wouldn't hear them.

Peter looked at the four and walked over to then and looked down.

"What's the most important difference between us and the Brotherhood?" He looked at them and started the simulation. They were in a neighborhood with two cop cars on the ends of the street, but everything was frozen. "Don't worry, while you will feel pain, it's reduced by about 75% right now. Sean, you will be the leader, all of us will listen to you.

The most important thing to remember guys, is even though they want to kill or maim you." He pointed at the simulated cops, "we are trying our best to disable them, not seriously injure, which will be hard for you two." He pointed at Haydn and fire-bolt, "fire and electricity are dangerous by themselves, and can easily hurt or kill someone. Our objective is to hold off until Storm gets here with our ride, about 10 minutes, without killing any humans. Everyone understand? Sean, when you're ready, say 'Begin Simulation' and lead us."

Sean looked around to the others. He hadn't actually expected to be a team leader. He supposed it made sense seeing as he'd been doing the whole X-Men thing longer than the rest. But it hadn't been that much longer and he wasn't sure about his leadership skills. He figured his powers would be suited for the task though. He could just plant everyone to the ground if worst came to worse. He looked around at the team, his team, and they all seemed to be ready. "Simulation begin," he said.

Suddenly the scene around them unfroze. "We need you all to calmly turn yourselves in. We don't want to harm you." The police Captain on the other side of the street was shouting into a megaphone. Coincidentally a seemingly nervous officer fired off his pistol nearly hitting Sean, or Gravixx, in the shoulder. "Hold your fire!" the Captain ordered. His command was ignored and all the cops were suddenly firing on them. "Team! Spread out, hold your ground but don't harm anyone!" Gravixx hoped his orders would be followed, unlike the Captains.

Hadyn did as ordered and moved several feet to the left and back. Her hands were glowing red, but she was able to control it for the time being. She held her ground, standing in a defensive stance, a bit nervous about the guns, but not downright scared.
