Wuxia - Xianxia style RP

Hey guys, I am really craving a wuxia - Xianxia type of RP and am wondering as well as hoping some of you guys might feel the same. I could use a co-GM to help out a bit but in any case, I will provide a lore thread with needed information, helpful suggestions and links that might help you/make things easier for you. I feel I need to warn you that I am not even close to being an expert in the genre and some things might be a bit different in this but I did some research, am a fan of the genre and am willing to do more research if needed.

PLOT:
The best cultivation school in the martial arts world is opening its doors to new disciples again. Divine Sword academy only opens its doors for new students every two years and it is time, of course receiving the invitation doesn't mean you're accepted right away. Every potential disciple has to reach the front gate first.

The tests start as soon as the candidates enter the forest of thousand weeping willows surrounding the school's grounds where numerous challenges and traps await them to test both their skill, teamwork as well as personality. After that, they have to find the front gates and make an impression on one of the sect elders that teach in the school. Each elder teaches a different style and if none of them accept you all you can do is go home.

The school teaches its students the best techniques of the martial arts world and its student's become strong fighters against the Poison Blood Cult (those who follow the evil path, aka devils) but as our disciples grow and learn, the Poison Blood Cult starts a plan many years in the making. Our disciples will have to work harder than ever to grow stronger, learn to work together and most of all watch out as the enemy is setting their dark plans in motion.


RULES AND INFO:

• Follow RPN rules
• This is an on-site RP
• FCs can be realistic (from your favorite wuxia or Xianxia dramas) or art (realistic art, etc...) If you need help finding FCs I can help. We can put the FC type up for a vote.
• LGBT+ friendly in case some characters are. Of course, that doesn't mean your character has to be LGBT at all.
• Two paragraph+ minimum per post.
• Medium fast pace (a post per two days or so should be possible but I do understand sometimes an exception is needed).
• You can come up with your own name for a fighting style and its stages (I can also help with that if needed). But I will also provide a few so you can use one of them for your character.
• I am open to suggestions and ideas.

Wow, it's rare to see rp that revolves around Wuxia! Hm, though I think I had seen some before but most people like to mash these Wuxia-ish rp with Japan culture gahaha! I can understand that tho, it can be confusing for westerners sometimes, they have way too many similarities yet quite distinct.
I am ashamed to admit that I am not that interested in these kinda Wuxia drama or even novel, but well, I do recall watching a few of these and it was a very entertaining and fun experience.
Although I am not going to participate in this I wish you the best of luck! I can help you with collecting info or even translation if you ever need it! As for fighting styles, it's one of the coolest gimmicks in Wuxia novels, they are a few very iconic styles that I can recite straight from memory if you are interested, most of them I am sure you already knew, they are kinda...overused in these novels, let's just say they are way too iconic.
Anyway, I have to give you my applause for trying out an unique rp like this!

At first I wanted to make a mix too but then decided to make it a wuxia / xianxia instead.

Sure I could use some fighting style ideas if you would like to share them.

Are you talking about the Calabash Brothers? That's my childhood right there! But generically speaking, I think it fits more into the shenhua category (which is basically folklore/legend).
