Would Anyone Care to Brainstorm?

Hello! As I am still pretty much brand new to this website, I have encountered only minor difficulty in figuring out what is and isn't the right way to go about things, haha. So I hope I am posting in the correct place for looking for a one on one game!


So, anyway. I put the "fantasy" prefix up there because it's my preferred genre, but honestly I am open to a modern game as well. I'm not presently in the mood for science fiction though, my apologies.


I'm mostly literate, I do my best to reply on time, but I kind of live a life on the road, so I may be down to only replying once a day sometimes, if that is all right.


I don't currently have any plots in mind, which is why I was wondering if anyone would want to throw some ideas around?


I am open to tons of things, I just don't like anime/fandom stuff (meaning I am also opposed to using anime photos for character appearances.)


I prefer to play males, and if romance is involved I'd love to do a male x male game, but I'm open to male x female games too. Romance, however, cannot be the driving force of the plot or I'll probably get bored. But I am kinda wanting to do a male x male plot right now. (Rather, a plot where romance is involved at least a little.)


So, does anyone else want to think of some fantasy themed game, or an urban fantasy, or even a straight up modern/realistic one? Or if you want to just throw some vague ideas my way for me to try to add to, we could do that too. I'm in the mood for coming up with plots.

Like I said, I don't currently have any really good plots in mind. Are there any plot elements you particularly like throwing in? A specific type of romance, maybe? I'm willing to brainstorm up a plot with you!

Well we could throw a curveball in and make it about someone in a gang targeting a guy. Then when they fall in love eventually they have to hide it while they escape from the gang since the gang member is terrified. Far fetched and confusing it may be, but it makes sense in my head. xD

I'm following along haha. This sounds like a pretty solid idea to me! Do you have a preference as to which character you'd prefer to play? I'm not familiar with many gang roleplays, so it may be best that I play the not-gang-member one

What age-range would you want these characters to be in? So I can kinda get a feel for what they might be doing with their lives- which might help to solidify the plot a bit.

Then I think my character should be a kind of semi-successful college student who, like you said, ends up seeing something he shouldn't and it's all downhill from there haha. This sounds good to me!

Mine will be a very nervous and jumpy guy who was tortured into working for the gang and puts on a tough face for strangers. Almost like Johnny from The Outsiders if you understand that.

I've never read The Outsiders/watched it? I think it's a book though haha.


But okay! Who should create the thread and stuff? I'm still really new here and actually have no idea where everything goes (for the most part haha)


Oh! And like what kind of setting do you want? Obviously this would be best taking place in some kind of bigger city, bit do you have a preference for which one?

It's a book, and it really is amazing!


If I'm going with a tiny Outsider's theme lets do Tulsa Oklahoma lol. And can you do it? You can click on my name and it'll have an option that says "Start a conversation" and we can use that. I don't know how to start.
