Distinguishing features: His augments have several metal nodes located all throughout his body. Most can be easily covered but the ones leading from either temple to the corners of his eyes stand out pretty well. Due to this he is unable to operate in public settings.

Backstory: Roger was freshly a Freshly married 28 year old when the invasion forces came. Being a marine who was deployed to the American northwest to fight the ship there meant little in the grand scheme of things. When the assault began his troop carrier helicopter was downed and he was among the few survivors. He was quickly processed and relocated to the Fendrell where he earned a meager existence as a security guard at a medical facility. It was he who helped smuggle out The surgical equipment from hospitals all across the city until his involvement was revealed. At which point he fled into hiding and volunteered for the augmentation process that would allow him to operate the Advanced Exosuits made of a blend of human and Mechai technology. Since then he has helped others who undertook Exosuit implants to learn to fully master their new suits and talents.

Personality traits: Roger while a serious man most of the time does have a bit of a Nihilistic dark humor to him, he doesn’t seem to have much faith in our ability to overthrow the aliens but often mentions how he would rather die no other way than to do so fighting this threat. Most would deduce that he feels as if he was cheated out of a chance to stop this horror from transpiring and that he worries such things will transpire again. That said while he is aggressive he had been known to take a softer tone to those who are in need of such things, a trait he attributes to the brief period before the invasion, when he was still a father and husband.

Likes: Salisbury steaks, Any Alcohol from before the fall, Collecting Toys for the rebellion members children.

Dislikes: Thinking about the future, Being Alone, Having to hide in the underground tunnels.

Reputation: Roger has become known as a kind of friendly uncle amongst the rebel soldiers, always willing to take time and listen, very good with handling the children or younger members, and a very fierce lover of humanity and all its strengths and weaknesses. He has also come to be known as one of the most formidable Close quarters combatants within the Rebellion, without the armor being talented enough to teach the next generation of soldiers, and with the armor having come back from what almost any would tell you were suicide missions, if that was the case he must’ve missed the memo.

Specialization: Quick deployments of Demolition, Search and Destroy, and Extraction.
Augmentations: N-2-EM network- A network of electromagnetic sensors affixed to clusters of nerves within Rogers body. These allow him to link up with and control the Mechai/Human exosuit as though it were an extension of his own body. This exosuit greatly enhances his strength and dirability, while granting him access to advanced targeting computers and state of the art recoil compensation systems that allow for accurate fire regardless of the weapon in question.
Weapons:
7.62mm Gattling gun- a belt fed chain gun positioned on the lower right arm. Capable of unleashing bursts of rounds at a mind numbing rate of 5800 rounds per minute.

.50BMG Auto Cannon- located on the lower left arm, the Auto cannon fires .50BMG anti material rounds at a rate of 600 rounds per minute. Its capable of dependable long range accuracy.

Sawshark- A arm mounted Combat chainsaw with teeth designed for cutting metal. Moreso meant to clear debris and carve entry paths, its surprisingly effective in combat as well.

Thunder Glaive- a specially designed Weapon utilizing Alien technology. This hammer can double as an axe, or fold its blade towards the top to form a chopping Spear. Utilizing Antigravity technology to build up a powerful concussion wave upon impact, this weapon though limited in its range, usually will fell a foe in a single strike.

Special: The Exosuit Roger operates is modified to fit his own aesthetics and style. The wings and horns were later editions, as were the various markings made in it signifying successful missions, enemies killed, and allies lost.

Backstory: Jesse was in high school still when the invasion struck and frankly it didnt really effect him that much. By the time his bus got to school the Mechai were waiting to move him and all the others to the waiting zones. He spent only a few weeks there before the alien technology had converted most of The new york state into the Fendrell Mega city. He got a job as a simple food courier, and did that for a while until he managed to get himself involved in the rebel faction after he helped push a weapon towards a soldier during one of their skirmishes in the city. Afterwards he was offered a position and having nothing else planned for his future he agreed. Shortly after this he was augmented with the Signaler and has operated as a informational agent ever since. During his training he managed to develop a close friendship with Roger Wallace, becoming one of his Star protégés and harnessing the willpower to act. Currently he operates as a crucial part of the rebellions information network.

Personality traits: Jesse is admittedly a hard man to get a bead on. He is socially awkward and tends to prefer silence over conversation, yet he is not an aggressive man, having to take time to psyche himself up before a mission that requires conflict. Most assume its because he is timid but thats far from the truth, fact is, his mind seems to run at full speed constantly, he is often seemingly lost in thought as he tries to predict the outcomes of events around him, and his accuracy in these predictions seems to be growing more and more consistent. He is listed in the City’s database as a gifted intellect to be monitored.

Likes/Dislikes: Reading, Running Simulations, Feeding Animals.

Reputation: Jesse has become known for his habit of Silently tagging along with people on whatever adventure they find themselves on. Often without asking for permission first. While this has gotten him in trouble from time to time, his adaptability has conveniently kept this from costing him too much.

Specialization: Communications/Assassination/intelligence
Augmentations: Signaler- A chip implanted in the brain that allows Jesse to Receive and send signals. He can use this to listen in on Mechai communications, or even directly interfere with them, one of his favorite powers from this is his ability to THINK text messages, images, and emails to people.

Weapons: EP/AR-25- A rifle modeled after the AR-15, but with Mechai Plasma conversion technology applied to the barrel. This converts metal flying out of the barrel into Energized plasma that both burns and triggers micro-EMPs in the target making it a remarkably effective weapon against the Mechai. Unfortunately this conversion process cuts the weapons range drastically limiting it to only around 150 meters of effective range.

D3-Hawk: A pistol modeled after the Famous desert eagle. It fires a large .50AE round, that has an ion burst system in each round. This allows it to shut down and damage circuits like the Ep/Ar-25, however it has a far more effective range, as the ion burst occurs on impact. A scope has been applied.

Special: Plain sight- Jesse does not stand put at all. He blends into crowds and even if a means to detect his augmentation existed, he could simply block the signals coming off of it to remain hidden. This applies double in the field, as all his weapons are equipped with flash hiding and noise reduction systems. His yellow armor, is actually paneled with shifting projection fields, allowing him to Trigger a form of active camo sufficient to trick the untrained eye. When all else fails he tends to just feign innocence and play the role of a standard terrified citizen.

Backstory: Alexander always was intent on changing the world. when they were little, the only time they played with princesses was when they built that guillotine and stole their sister's Barbie, beheading it for being a traitor to the people of France. (looking back, they are pretty ashamed of their Jacobin phase.) they skipped two years of middle school, graduated high school at 16, and triple majored in political science, evolutionary history, and us history. they had just gotten into law school when the Fall came, and shit hit the fan. the last they heard of their family, they were around Chicago, while they were on the East Coast, in NYC (sorry, didnt know where the city was). they have learned though to turn that worry into anger, and they have been since working to overthrow the aliens, working on uploading underground propaganda videos in Fendrell. They also developed a secret code, based on musical frequencies, which is the background music that plays in their videos.
Personality traits: Stubborn, and determined, they struggle with face-to-face human interaction, with the slightest of stammers. if they see a problem, they grow determined to fix it. physically somewhat weak.
Likes: FIXING things. "Sasha, you can't carry out a hit on your own" "I am FIXING the PROBLEM" "Sasha, you are bleeding." "I'm fine. I'm FIXING the PROBLEM"
Dislikes: capitalism, the goddamn pigs, one on one human interaction, being reminded that they are human, and not a tool for the revolution to use. Video editing. oh, that's a nightmare. their videos are always crappy quality, at least the ones that they make on their own. people bringing up the before in a "and what about your family, Alexander?"
Reputation: A radical, even before the aliens attacked.a little crazy, a little extreme, good with explosives

Specialization: Propaganda. Speeches, and acts of terror. Sasha parties like it's 1901. or 1886 or 1892 or 1919. They write speeches and make bombs.

Weapons: a concealed pistol, whatever explosives they can get their hands on. but, the pen (Or i guess, the camera) Is mightier than the sword.

Special: Sasha's a speech writer, and a damn good one. they didn't graduate college and law school two years early for nothing. will i be writing at least one good speech? yes. will i write several that attempt to be good and just turn out sad? also yeah.

Backstory: Growing up, Dani always wanted to help people, like her mum did. When she turned 18 she applied to join the LA fire department and quickly took to the EMS and SAR side of things. In a few short years she would be heading the Search and Rescue section, and be one of the most valuable Advanced EMTs in the department. But that all changed when the aliens attacked. Her family managed to escape the forceable movement into the mega cities, along with other survivors they would form nomadic groups who would move as stealthily as possible, mostly in the Great lakes and East Coast regions, making sure to steer clear of the mega cities in those regions. Dani has since returned to the west coast, and become wrapped up with the rebellion in Fendrell.
Personality traits: Friendly, kind, flirty to those she has a crush on (or friends she wants to mess with). She can also become very serious when she's working, taking no shit from anybody.
Likes/Dislikes: Dani likes helping people, whether it be saving their life, or reassuring someone that they'll be fine. Her dislikes include assholes who tell her how to do her job, the police (ironically enough since she had to work closely with them as a medic before the Fall) and Capitalist assholes (they were destroying the world before the Fall)
Reputation: She styled herself as everyone's favourite medic, and she is well liked. She is very good at her job, and some people even stop her in the street to ask for medical help.

Augmentations: Bionic eye that gives her a sort of rudimentary HUD, as well as helps her analyze her patients injuries and vitals. Her robotic hand allows her a bit more manual dexterity, whether to more quickly pull the trigger, or more quickly do her medic shit.
Weapons: FN P100 (upgraded version of the FN P90, has plasma-infused ammo integration, a specialty of her nomad group).

Special: Medical expertise. Knows how to deal with everything from a simple papercut all the way up to someone in cardiac arrest, with a tension pneumothorax (air/blood filling the chest cavity causing lung collapse)

Relationships: No one inside the rebel group yet.

A young woman with small stature. Elliot has a slightly hunched posture and her face is almost always expresionless.

Backstory: She was only 12 when the aliens conquered humanity and the sight of her mother's head exploded etched a deep hatred for the mechai. Helpless and scared, she didn't resist as the mechai threw her into the megacity alongside other people. She works as a cleaner in a junkyard for years, but in that place she also learned how to build and operate her own computer. It didn't take long before she delves deeper into it and at age 18, she and several other people with similar interest created M-HEX, a programming languages compatible with the mechai's technology and even the mechai themself, allowing human access to mechai's 'DNA' aka their operating system in a limited manner. When she heard about the resistance she abide her boss goodbye and joined the rebellion.
Personality traits: Overly serious, coldly logical and rather out of touch.

Reputation: She becomes known as the mechai maniac who study the alien robot like a mad scientist. She disassembles and then rearranges mechai technology, turning them into assets for humanity.

Augmentations:
  • Nanonerves: A part of Elliot nerves had been replaced by strings of nanomachines that not only boost her overall speed and reflex but also allows her to store and discharge electricity from her body.
Weapons:
  • Dread cannon: A mini-railgun the size of a bulky sniper rifle with a pair of metal beam made of mechai parts. Capable of accelerating ammunition at such high velocity it punch through energy shield and metal as it was butter. Easily overheat and requires a large amount of energy for each shot.
  • G-Tazer: A handgun that shoots powerful electric bolt instead of regular bullet. Disturb mechanical function on impact.
  • The Buggers: Slavlings that ends up on Elliot's operating table will be turned into Bugger, a bug-shaped robot with the size of a cat. Each of them are capable of traversing through any terrain in multitude of ways and equipped with cutting edge sensory tools, making them great recon units. Additionally Elliot can enhance these units by giving them certain devices like bombs, jammers or supplies to increase their utility.

Backstory: Lystra was still in school when the mechai invaded, and her parents were among some of the first humans who decided to take initiative. Her parents were experimental though, and instead of doing it to themselves, chose Lystra as their experiment child in the sense that she was relocated to Fendrell and kept in a medical facility that did nothing but tear her apart and put her back together with new weapons mixed with mechai technology. There were many departments testing new types of augmentations. She was tested and put through new augmentations mostly regarding physical endurance, and put her through severe forms of physical training. They wanted her to be one of the first fully capable soldiers to fight back. However, a lot of their experiments went wrong, since she was one of the first. What they have since learned is that Lystra can push her body to the limits and has the capability to, but it will leave her debilitated and disabled. Unable to walk, cannot even hold things, etc. It will leave her with long recovery times until she is taken apart, her augmentations are fixed or buffed up again and rebooted, and put back together. When her parents were finally confident that Lystra was as ready as she was going to be and wanted to relocate her, Lystra finally found a way to get out from under their shackle and chain and fight for her own freedom. She finds both the mechai and many humans hard to trust.
Personality traits: Hot-headed, stubborn, but always one to reach out the first helping hand. She's a bit awkward but has a sincerity about her that she's always willing to listen to someone else and about themselves.
Likes/Dislikes: She loves to read more than anything else, and listen to music. She dislikes her parents and the mechai, and has a hard time with people touching her as everytime they do, it's always been related to taking her apart.
Reputation: She's the hot-headed one of the group and is known to throw a punch first, ask questions later. She won't let anybody steamroll her, and has yet to show much a soft side. She's the first to volunteer herself for the hardest work, and endure the hardest pain.

Codename: Iron Wolf
Specialization: Tank, field artillery and armor, front line infantry. She's one of the ones you'll want to release first to do the most damage. Although her body is lithe so she's very flexible and hard to hit.
Augmentations:
  • Pain Editor: This coprocessor overrides the pain receptors of the brain, making the subject impervious to torture, deprivation or physical hardship. It doesn't mean she isn't getting hurt or feels pain when she's recovering after everything short-circuits, just that she won't notice in battle until she collapses.
  • Wolvers: The longest and deadliest of the implant blades, wolvers are implanted along the back of the hand. When the hand is clenched in a fist, the thin, triangular blades telescope and lock into place, remaining extended a full foot until the hand is relaxed. (Think Wolverine, this is how she get's her codename)
  • Titanium Reinforcement: (Think like Nebula from Marvel) Her entire body was taken apart, and replaced with reinforced titanium so even her physical skin is like kevlar. Her body can withstand and endure most kinds of physical harm with limitations of enough force, parts might break off. Essentially her entire body was made to be a living weapon, but it needs constant maintenance and repairs and with overuse she can become temporarily disabled with the need for a wheelchair, crutches, cane, etc. until she can be fixed up again.
Weapons: She specializes in assault rifles, pistols, knives, and swords. With or without alien tech.

Special: She's literally like a rabid wolf that can be released on the front lines and do incredible amounts of damage. Even if this means she ends up doing an incredible amount of damage to herself, it's a risk she's willing to take. She'll take initiative to take that first shot, or swipe, with her claws.

Backstory:
Julienne was studying electrical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, having only finished her second year of college when the aliens invaded. It didn't take long for her and most of her peers to be rounded up by the aliens. Her experience of the initial invasion was hazy at best, one moment she's running for her life and the next she finds herself in the sprawl of Fendrell, where she was sent to work in the city's refineries.

The first few years of living under the aliens were horrible, having to watch countless others, including people she once knew, slaughtered at random and living in a near perpetual state of fear that when the next riots hit, she would be among those unfortunate enough to be used as 'examples.' Months passed and day of her execution never came, thankfully, though she had long since lost hope that humanity could ever be free again, resigning herself to live as an obedient cog in the alien's machine.

A few years later, Julienne was on site at one of Fendrell's refineries when she got caught in the crossfire during a confrontation between the rebels and Mechai forces, losing her right arm and left eye as well as having both her eardrums burst as a result of being caught in one of the secondary explosions after the rebels detonated a few explosives, having to be taken to a medical facility for emergency surgery. Though this incident did take her arm and eye, it also sparked something inside her. Seeing that, even after all this time, there were those that refused to let the aliens have their way with their planet and were willing to sacrifice everything to win back their freedom rekindled a very dim flame of hope within her. And though dim, it was a light at the end of the tunnel nonetheless, giving Julienne a purpose in life. Julienne never went back to the refineries, instead seeking out to join the rebellion in the efforts to retake their world.

Personality traits:
Methodical and calculating when it comes to performing operations and taking out enemies, but at the same time very curious about the aliens' technology, occasionally nerding out about them.

When it comes to conversation with people, she's usually cordial, though she's not much to strike up a conversation casually. That is, except when it comes to the topic of technology, in particular the aliens' tech, in which it's more difficult to get her to stop talking, being a tech nerd at heart. She's also a little slow to warm-up/open-up to people.

She prefers to by Julie instead of Julienne, because "Julienne takes too much time to say" for casual conversation, as she would say. That doesn't mean she doesn't want to be called Julienne at all, though. She prefers to be called Julienne when she's down in the dumps and needs cheering up. She won't really tell anyone that, because how would that even come up in a conversation, but those that know her tend pick up on that. Outside of that, if need to really, really get her attention for something important, calling her Julienne is also a good way to do that.

Reputation:
Because of her background and skillset, she would often be called the tinkerer or the tech girl of the group. If you had a problem that had to do with cybernetics and technology or needed something to be made or modified, she'd likely be near the top of the list of people who you would go to see and she'd gladly help.

Technology and cybernetics specialist, precision/covert sabotage operations, close quarters combat

Augmentations:
Direct Brain Input Network (DBIN)
- A series of implants in Julie's skull that started off with auditory cybernetic implants to restore and enhance her sense of hearing after her eardrums were blown out. Her hearing implants grant her an ability to locate targets based off of sound alone, much akin to echolocation, not to mention greatly enhance her sense of hearing itself. Over time, more modules were installed so that she could receive communications and data from her team directly into her brain without the aid of an external device like a phone, data pad, or computer.

RX-11 Cybernetic Eye - After her eye was shredded from the explosion, she received a fully artificial replacement eye that she got modified after joining the rebels. Her cybernetic eye is connected to DBIN, which allows her to display data directly on her retina. Her eye also enhances her vision beyond the typical seeing abilities of a biological human eye, but just for her left eye. Her left eye also has a feature that helps her analyze the mechanical and electrical components of an object or entity, which she uses during sabotage ops to see which systems are critical and when she's making gadgets to make sure everything is connected properly.

JM-25 Cybernetic Arm - Julie's replacement for the one that was lost in the explosion, later further modified after Julie joined the resistance to give her right arm an immense amount of strength, which combined with her Arc Blade makes for a particularly effective combo as well as increasing the range and speed at she could throw things like grenades. Even without her Arc Blade, a stike from her arm can be pretty damaging. The arm itself is made of highly durable but lightweight alloys so it could withstand a beating. Outside of combat, Julie's arm allows for fine and steady motor control, proving especially useful when she's making or tinkering with something.

Combat Longevity System (CLS) - A series of augments that run along Julie's spine that automatically inject substances like morphine and adrenaline directly into her blood stream in response to the intense pain signals along the central nervous system so she could spend more time on the battlefield and have more time to get proper medical attention.

Reflex and Agility Enhancement System (RAES) - A series of augments in Julie's skull that greatly improve Julie's reaction time, reflexes, and agility in high stress and chaotic environments, allowing her to react to attacks that would otherwise be hard to react to and move more agilely than even the most skilled acrobat without implants.

Weapons:
MX-18 'Sweeper' Shotgun
- A magazine fed, 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun that uses alien technology to electrically charge and wrap each pellet with a plasma field as it leaves the barrel of the gun, making them effective against robotic opponents. The MX-18 is Julie's go to weapon when things hit the fan.

U-9 'Cleaner' Submachine Gun - A fully automatic submachine gun that is modeled after the Uzi of pre-invasion Earth. Similar to the MX-18, a plasma field is wrapped around each bullet using alien technology, giving each hit from the U-9 a bit more punch.

Arc Blade - A fusion of alien technology and one of humanity's oldest weapons. Julie's arc blade, about the size of a machete, uses alien plasma technology to essentially line the edge of the blade with plasma, giving it some extra cutting power, especially against metal.

Special:
Though having never completed her degree in electrical engineering, throughout her time in the rebellion Julie has learned to maintain and modify cybernetic implants, mostly from hands on experience tending to her own, especially her arm. Distinguishing features: One of the few rebels who hardly shows his true face. For he has been disfigured from the attack of the Mechai. His skin has suffered 3rd-degree burns which are sometimes exposed when not in combat when he shirts, except he keeps the helmet on or at least the tubed mask. Although despite the armor and baggy clothing. The man was surprisingly shredded.

Backstory: Not much is known about his early and adolescent past but it was hinted that it was nowhere close to a happy home. What is known of the troubled James however is his impressive gifted record in his mechanic university. All alone as he was separated from his friends and his family during the invasion of the Mechai. It didn't take long till he was assigned to a miserable position of transferring corpses of those overworked and tried to rebel against the overlords, as well as his human talents to construct new buildings for the Mechai.

There was a sliver of step to the way out, however. Humanities rebels have attacked the construction site he has worked on. It was chaos but it was an escape from the Mechai. The operation was to evacuate construction workers to work for the rebellion as well as evacuate other civilians. During the ensuing evacuation. A single Mechai was hell-bent on stopping the flow of people exiting the site. James was carrying a middle-aged couple in his arms. He diverted the Mechai as the two civilians in his arms were evacuated. Defenseless against the Mechai, no stone or crowbar was enough to kill it. It was enough for nearly everyone to escape after the brief chase was swept aside by the mechai to burn in a bright fire as the debris fell on both of them. He was still somehow rescued by the rebellion under the same hours. Later joining the Rebellion as he recovers into full health.

  • Shock Spine - While his burned skin will take time to heal. He was given something for his back. The range is also limited to 110 meters for pure efficiency without damage falloff. It has a 6-round chamber. Hammer is tricky to fan but possible. Alcaraz likes pointing this to Mechai heads as it often leaves an effect of a small explosion.






1684550990122.png Cicatriz - Noticeably the heaviest weapon equipment he carries. This heavy machine gun turret fires 780RPM as it's made to shred Mechai Oppressors and Slavlings in mind. To carry this around requires a strong back or better yet an exosuit. This weapon requires a 5-second setup before engaging in combat. It will transform itself from a boxed form to a standing machine gun turret. Shooting high-caliber rounds and aren't prone to overheats because of the rather small ammo capacity it holds. (Note that the weapon can be manually reloaded in midst of combat.} While in turret form. One cannot drag or lift the gun top off, for it is locked and anchored to the ground. It has a 360-degree rotation and a 45-degree vertical angle max. It also has a 4x thermal scope with a red crosshair. Max range 2900 ft.







Equipment:
1. Mechai-inspired construction exoskeleton - While there are actual mechai hybrids of these exosuits. Alacaraz's head was at too much risk to be implanted with a neural implant for Mechai-Human technology as of his current state. Alcaraz did take heavy inspiration. This exoskeleton was heavier and slightly rigid in human response but it was close enough.

Features​
  • Structural strength - The exoskeleton enhances the user's strength in cost of swiftness and toughness. Being able to lift anvils in one hand and hard enough to punch Mechai into a pile of metal should one invade his personal space. Instead of hammering the nail, the said nail can be pushed like a thumb tack.
  • Anti-temp - It is hardly affected by extreme freezes or burns.
Handiimann - A handheld power tool that is used for repairing. It is shaped like a rectangular gun and it is colored in yellow and black.

  • Able to use drill bits with those rotation functions can also screw with the same power tool but a different bit
  • can load a nail to be shot against the wall
  • Welding is also another major function, it only requires a small portable welding inverter under the gun.


Special:
1. Repairing Cybernetic/mechanical parts (Exception for pure Mechai tech) - As a combat engineer, in the field, he provides on-the-spot repair operations for damaged mechanicals. Got a cybernetic arm that is malfunctioning or a vehicle got a hole in its panels? Let Alcaraz have a look at it.​

3. Site defender - Although lacking in mobility, Alcaraz is able to defend a site almost independently as he is not as mobile as the other members, although has enough gear to make up for his lack of mobility.​
