Besides obvious rules that people with common sense should know, there's virtually no rules of what you need to follow when creating a character.
Need help making a decision? Here's some Ideas of what you can be:

He's slightly overconfident in his abilities, often acting like a bad arse whenever he begins to use them. But overall, he's a reliable dragon who puts his group first before himself when he's needed.

Bio: Her origin is unknown, but Lita's early childhood consisted of drifting from a blade of grass to another. She had yet to take humanoid form at that time and it was an infinitesimal stroke of luck that led to her sentience. Around 50 years, she started to take a humanoid form no larger than a thumb. Befriending nature and surviving throughout the decades, Lita gained knowledge and mastery in plant manipulation magic, self-taught herbalism, and an endless desire for mischief. Fast forward 150 years or so later, Lita has reached the size of a small human child and roams the prairie she grew up in, playing pranks on travelers and helping injured fawn or other docile creatures.

Race/species: Kitsune
Apparel: Tsukiko is small and usually wears white or light blue dresses. She has long silver hair that she likes to put bows in, and light blue eyes. When in fox form she has silver fur and a blue symbol on her head. She only has two tails and is very small, the tips of her feet and tail are very light blue, with crystal blue eyes.
Class/Occupation: Tsukiko uses magic of different types, mainly illusion magic, but she can summon blue fire balls. However when she is in danger the seal on her forehead breaks and she grows into a huge ninetailed fox with dark blue symbols and red eyes. When she is in this form she can't tell friends from foe and can hurt those she loves.
Bio: Tsukiko has always been different from her fellow kitsune, she was smaller and would rather be friends with others then eat or trick them. One day after she had been injured by another Kitsune a nice wizard took her in and they became best friends. One day while the wizard was experimenting he summoned a demon, wanting to protect her only friend she sacrificed herself to save him. But instead of dying she was possesed by the demon. The wizard put the seal on her forehead to contain the demon, but creating the seal took his life. The spirit of the wizard still talks to her as he is the seal. She has the seal in all her forms human or fox.

Apparel: He’s an animal; he doesn’t wear clothes
Class/occupation: He is fairly large (bigger than a human) so I suppose he could classify as some kind of fighter… he is an animal so this doesn’t really fit though; he doesn’t have a job
Bio: Atticus doesn’t speak, however he can communicate with other beings telepathically in a way that is unaffected by language which basically means that no matter what language they speak, they will understand him. He thinks of himself as a watcher of the skies and he has held this position for some time because no one has challenges his claim to it. Atticus doesn’t really have any friends although there is one girl whom he speaks with often and she considers him to be her friend. His definition of friend goes a lot deeper than her definition so she hasn’t reached that title in his mind yet.

Appearance: Risetta has pointed ears as well as horns and a tail. She has shorter red hair which she cuts on her own with a dagger when it grows too long for her to manage effectively. Her eyes change colors often. She wears whatever clothes she is able to find for herself that fit – usually they are fairly simple outfits that don’t last very long because she tends to get herself into all kinds of trouble exploring.
Class/occupation: Risetta is an explorer. She also has demon powers which she has not yet explored or discovered.
Bio: Risetta is the offspring of a human and a demon. She killed her human parent as she was born and she would’ve died herself if Atticus hadn’t found her and brought her to a human family to be taken care of. In her younger years, Risetta appeared as a normal human being; however, one morning she wandered off and encountered a small forest demon. That encounter unlocked her demon heritage bringing about her abnormal physical characteristics. Her human family refused to take her back once they realized what she truly was. Since then, Risetta has been wandering on her own while occasionally running into Atticus – she always has lots of questions for him and he always seems to have the answers she is looking for. She has come to care for him in a unique way. She brushes his fur and pets at his wings. She longs to ride him, but he has refused every time she has asked thus far. Every time Risetta has asked he has left her and been gone for longer than she has been comfortable being on her own so she has slowly stopped asking as often because she fears him leaving again. Risetta has a side goal of seeking out her demon parent, although she is easily distracted from this goal.

Apparel: Usually cloaked in blue with 3 red talismans that glow with power. While learning his craft he learned to manipulate the magic embedded into his clothing for warding and protection. His clothes look stifling but are like a second skin to him, moving as he wishes or needs in order to stop them from hindering him in fights.
Class/occupation:If he had to have a class it would be battle mage . He's a sellsword/ traveler
Bio: Kai grew up knowing only his father and little to nothing of his mother. He knows only that she was a dragon who his father helped out of a bind. Early in life he developed a passion for knowledge. A passion that soon became a hunger. He spent most of his life studying at different temples and shrines. He liked to travel to see and learn of the world he lived in. In his travels he's met many people, good and bad. He had to learn to defend himself, not just with magic. He figured that in order for his magic to get stronger, his body had to be stronger. So on his travels he trained with many different mercenaries and fighters. Now he travels as a sellsword in order to earn a living. When he's no working he's usually just hanging out with some creature or other that he's conjured up to ease his lonelyness. He wants to eventually find out what happened to his mother. The only clue to who she was are the three talismans pinned to his clothes. Each one with a different symbol. Each one vibrating with power felt only by him when he focuses on them

In other words, he's damn good with a bow, a handy thief, and has a few magical tricks to complement his skills. He also seems to have an uncanny amount of luck, both for himself and those he deems comrades...
Bio: No one can recall when Harper was born, where he came from or how he became the local town drunk. But many can recall how he could stumble into almost any gambling den, play a hand, roll a die, and make out like a king...only to get blamed for cheating and promptly beat up/thrown out. He tends to not talk about his own history, as he finds it typically uninteresting. But when questioned enough, he might let loose some information through extravagant (or incredibly humdrum and dull) tales.
