The town of Woodpine is formally inside the lands of Ryke, however along a spot on the borer where the fay See and the Republic to the north share a border with. This has led to the town becoming somewhat of a crossroads, good from all three nations flow through the town and some merchants have even set up shops in the town. The region was known for its lack of bandits, the town didn't have an adventurer's guild but there was a small detachment of guard numbering to 30 with a captain that over saw the area around the town and kept order.
Among the other members in the town due to the limited number of guards in this town can be called up to help protect the village should the need raise. Though there are a few retired adventuer's who made this town home. In the center of the town there is a large tavern where many of the townsfolk gather around during the night. A few guards were milling about the town talking to a few of the townsfolk, a few merchants were starting to pack up their stalls for the day and a few wagons left the town filled with people and merchandise.
Nissa stood on a shaded hill that lined the forest a little ways from the village. A few villagers would come this way if they were going to come play in the forest. But she had been here for several days now watching the village and how they moved. Leaning against a tree with her cloak on she let out a sigh she had some blood left but she needed some fresh blood if she wanted some fresh blood. These stupid humans, I mean their guards are something I should be concerned about but.....I don't plan on going directly into the town to get some blood. She thought to herself drumming her fingers against her arm.
I suppose I will stick here until the night time it will make things a bit easier to sneak up on someone, though if I can get rid of a few others while in the village and get stronger I suppose that works out as well. She thought to herself looking up toward the sun while it wouldn't burn her to death she still didn't like to be out during the day. Letting out a sigh she moved further back into the shade as she sat down in a pile of leaves that she had collected. All other there was left to do was simply wait. Soon night would fall upon the village and that was going to be the best time to strike.
The birds in the forest chirped as they flew through the forest, a path was further down the forest line was made over the years as people walked into the forest. From what she saw coming and going was a bunch of woman and children no doubt foraging for things in the forest. Though it was something to keep an eye on especially if she didn't want to get caught off guard.
