The town of Woodpine is formally inside the lands of Ryke, however along a spot on the borer where the fay See and the Republic to the north share a border with. This has led to the town becoming somewhat of a crossroads, good from all three nations flow through the town and some merchants have even set up shops in the town. The region was known for its lack of bandits, the town didn't have an adventurer's guild but there was a small detachment of guard numbering to 30 with a captain that over saw the area around the town and kept order.

Among the other members in the town due to the limited number of guards in this town can be called up to help protect the village should the need raise. Though there are a few retired adventuer's who made this town home. In the center of the town there is a large tavern where many of the townsfolk gather around during the night. A few guards were milling about the town talking to a few of the townsfolk, a few merchants were starting to pack up their stalls for the day and a few wagons left the town filled with people and merchandise.

Nissa stood on a shaded hill that lined the forest a little ways from the village. A few villagers would come this way if they were going to come play in the forest. But she had been here for several days now watching the village and how they moved. Leaning against a tree with her cloak on she let out a sigh she had some blood left but she needed some fresh blood if she wanted some fresh blood. These stupid humans, I mean their guards are something I should be concerned about but.....I don't plan on going directly into the town to get some blood. She thought to herself drumming her fingers against her arm.

I suppose I will stick here until the night time it will make things a bit easier to sneak up on someone, though if I can get rid of a few others while in the village and get stronger I suppose that works out as well. She thought to herself looking up toward the sun while it wouldn't burn her to death she still didn't like to be out during the day. Letting out a sigh she moved further back into the shade as she sat down in a pile of leaves that she had collected. All other there was left to do was simply wait. Soon night would fall upon the village and that was going to be the best time to strike.

The birds in the forest chirped as they flew through the forest, a path was further down the forest line was made over the years as people walked into the forest. From what she saw coming and going was a bunch of woman and children no doubt foraging for things in the forest. Though it was something to keep an eye on especially if she didn't want to get caught off guard.

Zolgen once again had been traveling on the Ryke border, a place he liked to frequent after having made his way across the dark continent. Who knew what was to come at the end of the day? He had managed to get in and out of that last village well enough, he wasn't sure where Shuten had gone nor many of the other Wild Hunt members at the moment so he was really soloing. Eventually the relatively tall demon found himself before a town this time. It had been hard enough trying to deal with that last one and they had, had many more numbers than was just him now, who knew how many defenses this place had? Maybe if he was lucky he could kill a few on the outskirts of the town, eat and be done with it he knew that was a smarter strategy than charging in alone and potentially get targeted by many armed people capable of combat at the same time

. While Zolgen felt capable, he wasn't sure if he could take on a large force by himself, it had been close enough with the 5 that tried to hit him last time..He almost sustained amany more injuries than he would have recovered from, in part the reason why he wanted to get stronger faster. If only the others were there with him..then again Maikoa wasn't exactly the violent sort and as far as he had seen she hadn't used her abilities much in terms of helping to maim targets. Nor was the slime paritcularly violent, he needed to find more like minded company than just Shuten.

For now he played it more carefully learning from last time, instead looking to see when and where a good time to strike would be, He made his way from the other side of the hill and over to that which Nissa was currently on, he had been returning from another look around the outskirts. He was in thought with his blades on his back for the time being. As he moved as quietly as he could given the circumstances it wasn't long until he thought he was scoping something out that wasn't human. Presuming it was possible for him to do so without being spotted he made his way towards vampire, keeping a decent distance away from her, before saying to her in monster tongue "Why hello there, are you on the hunt too?" inquiring giving her a wave with an open hand.

His voice was quite casual sounding as far as a demon could speaking the monster tongue it almost had a friendly edge which betrayed his otherwise very demonic look with the inhumane musculature, and skull head which he possessed, that didn't give much insight into what he was thinking or feeling visually to say the least. Zolgen of course was ready to attack this person if need be but instead he stayed still and tried to appear as not threatening as he could. If he wasn't in range to use appraisal as much as he would have liked too, so for now the ball was in this person's court.

Nissa
anime, vampire, fantasy, silver hair, red eyes s-3808964931.png

Nissa continued to observe the town from afar when she heard something coming toward her nearby she brought her dominant hand into her cloak and rested it on the blade's hilt. She was going to avoid a fight if she could, but that didn't mean she would be empty-handed if it turned into a fight. Tilting her head up into the air for a moment, she smelled something that wasn't human, which made her relax a little bit as that meant it wasn't one of the towns folk that had happened to get close to her.

She watched as the large creature with a skull on its head appeared to her, waving to her with its weapons put away for now. With that settled, she released the hold on the hilt of her blade and pulled down her hood, revealing herself. "Well yes, I suppose you could call it hunting, though probably not in the sense that you do it. By the look and smell of you, you are also a monster of some kind, you don't smell like the a human or any other race I have encountered," Nissa stated as she let out a yawn revealing her fangs. Both creatures were well within range to use their appraisal and would have the opportunity to use it on the other. To which Nissa took advantage of seeing the titles the man? In front of her had.

"Eh, a demon well I suppose that makes sense I suppose. Anyway, yes I'm looking to replenish my stock of blood and maybe cause a little bit of chaos while I'm at it. These stupid humans are sitting a little too peaceful for my liking, though I don't plan on sticking around long once I get what I came here for," Nissa stated as she explained her reasoning for coming here in the first place. To her based on what Zolgen said he was looking to cause a little of chaos which she had no qualms with helping him if he helped her gather the blood she needed.

Moving over to a tree she leaned against it as the sun continued to set in the sky so she could turn to look at the village if she wanted to. "If you want, you can join me in this little excursion, though I have 2 terms. The first term is we kill a farmer's family that lives in a farm a little way out of the town so I can get my blood. The second being that when I say it's time to leave, we withdraw, this town from my scouting, does have a rather adept guard detachment here. We should be able to handle the grunts and the sergeants unless they swarm but their captain.....he has a reputation for being very skilled." Nissa stated her terms as she folded her arms across her chest, waiting for a response from the demon.

"If we can agree on that, you would be earning a favor with the future demon lord at least, that is my goal. Humans and the lesser races need to be guided and controlled, especially those disgusting ratkin. I ran across only one, and that vile thing made me want to destroy their whole race," Nissa concluded as she gripped her arm tighter as she mentioned the ratkin. If there was a single race she wished to enslave and torture day in and out, it was those disgusting drug-ridden rats. Now the ball was in the demon's court as she waited to see if he was going to agree to their deal or not.

Grá Toirmiscthe

"Demon lord? Oh my! How admirable..." Approaching from behind the tree, Gra was quick to make herself known. She hadn't been hiding in any way but she was sure to at least make an effort not to startle those two monsters standing atop the hill. After all, the last thing she wanted was a fight over this delectable stomping ground. At least not with these two strong-looking monsters. "Gra Toirmiscthe, Devil. Is it not commonplace to introduce oneself on the new continent?". Offering forward a hand and smile, Gra stood with pride before her two kin. Her manners truly matched her title of Devil. As did her horns and wings, booth as black as the night itself.

Turning to face the village Gra hummed to herself in deep thought "Maybe it's rude of me to ask but would you perhaps also be offering me such a deal, future Demon Lord?". Grinning to herself subconsciously at that last part, Gra was quick to hide it. "I'm quite fond of toying with humans. I find they make the best of toys. So durable yet oh so fragile at the same time... Disgusting yet oh so satisfying to crush".

Turning back to face her newfound associates Gra tilted her head ever so slightly to the left. Her long silver hair fell as she did so, revealing a twisted and genuine smile. A slight blush took hold of her features "I'll happily assist you in the murder of those farmers and agree to retreat on your orders. However, in return, I ask you to allow me my way with those farmers first. I'll leave them alive... just... a little broken. Then you can finish them off as you see fit once I've had my fill."

Looking to the demon among them, Gra's blush continued to grow more prominent as her mind danced with ideas "My dear Demon. What say you? Do you not want anything from this exchange? I can tell you're holding back no? What is it? If we are to enter into a true bond, then we must all attain something from the exchange. 'tis only right... go on... you can tell me.". Quite the question to ask considering she had yet to be accepted into the group in the first place.

Zolgen listened intently to what was to be said by this vampire before him with interest. Since Nissa had no qualms identifying what he was, did this mean she had another sense or perhaps she could also use evaluate? He wasn't sure for the time being but since they were now in range to use it, Zolgen responded with his own Appraisal E towards her, figuring if she was fine doing it to him, it was only fair he did it back. Thankfully he didn't see anything about her title wise that made it feel like he needed to be threatened by her. As far as he could tell she didn't even have a murderer title to her name, of course he knew that didn't guarantee she wasn't dangerous, for all he knew she had killed other monsters or any number of things which wouldn't bestow the title in this world.

"Oh so you just want to get some more blood? That shouldn't be too hard if we work together people tend to end up bleeding when I'm around them." Zolgen chuckled a bit, his tone sounding surprisingly friendly for a demon, even if the tonal shifts he achieved were very unnatural, not a range that a human could easily reach by any means.

"You're right about that, we are not hunting for the same reasons, I much prefer the meat and bones, though I suppose the blood is good to wash it all down with." He continued.

"And that's perfectly understandable, truthfully who wants to stay around a settlement with so many guards when you've already had your fun?" Truthfully while Zolgen wasn't saying it directly he was more so concerned that there were way too many guards for them to take on by themselves by the sound of things if they all came. It would be better to selectively kill, maybe destroy somethings and leave after the fact. Zolgen did look forward to the day when he could kill so many at once, but right now was not that time, the last village he had attacked had been somewhat humbling as much as he had wanted to slaughter them all himself.

He listened to the terms she gave carefully as well after going quiet once more. He found it curious she even felt inclined to propose such terms on a complete stranger? What was stopping him from going in and killing blindly at this moment? She really trusted that he as a fellow monster would care for or be receptive to terms that she was proposing that mainly benefited her, who even knew if she'd become a demon lord later? Of course there was always the possibility. Zolgen was more interested in getting some food for himself out of this and getting into some fights with people that would be enjoyable for him.

She seemed like a reasonable enough person however, and it sounded like she didn't want to over extend their means, Zolgen was thinking similarly, just as he was about to respond however Grá made herself known to them, causing Zolgen to reach for the swords on his back by instinct, before he stopped short of withdrawing them looking over at her curiously.

The demon wasn't used to having so many ladies like these around him who seemed to be interested in similar things he was, he could certainly get used to it, but this one was even more presumptuous from the last, some sort of Devil?

"Well well, it's certainly nice to meet you Grá Toirmiscthe, my name is simply Zolgen, assuming you're willing to agree to the terms our vampire friend has put forth over here, I don't see there being any issues, at least i don't have any objections to have from what the sounds of it a lovely lady like yourself joining us..the more the merrier." Zolgen continued with another chuckle of sorts after.

Zolgen stopped for a moment when she asked what he wanted out of it even though she hadn't been accepted group wide.

The tall demon looked back at Grá, before replying, "What I really want is to have some fun, and get my fill of meat, those are minimal requirements.."

Zolgen turned back to Nissa "and ..if this excursion works out I would certainly like to have your future support soon to be demon lord, and if we find that working together works well, more collaboration might be most beneficial in such a harsh world towards our kind.." Zolgen didn't care much about Nissa's aspirations to enslave or not one way or another as long as he could keep having his fun at the end of the day.

'So, for your terms vampire, I will accept because I'm inclined to believe you know what you are talking about.." She had made a good impression on him with the way she spoke about the matter.

Nissa looked back over at Zolgen as the monster finally spoke up. "Well yes, I need the blood for a food source for one and my magic requires the use of blood. While I do have some blood will only stay good for so long so I must forage for it from time to time," Nissa stated with a simply shrug of her shoulders as she glanced back over at the village. She didn't want to be caught off guard by anything in the village she figured the murder of a farming family then setting something on fire in the town would suffice enough damage to the town. Though she wasn't sure what building they should burn down, though burn down was relative.

Simply put she was going to use torches to light the building a flame, and if the towns people managed to save it and stop it from spreading well good for them. But it would give them a way to escape when things started to get dicey. She knew that the two of them wouldn't be able to take on a lot of the town's guards. So a hit-and-run tactic was the best thing to do. "Right, well if we kill one of the farming families, there will be human meat and livestock meat for whatever suits your taste, I just want enough blood to refill my stocks and preferably drink one of the humans dry. Then I was thinking of starting a fire on one of the larger buildings in the town, which will make for a good escape unless you just want to burn the farm and the crops down. Though that won't get us much notoriety if we kill them all," Nissa stated as she didn't look over at Zolgen as she spoke her mind.

That was when she heard and smelled another new arrival, looking over at the tree the new arrival appeared from behind. "Well that would be how it works from my experience, you can call me Nissa I suppose," Nissa replied as she kept her eyes on the new arrival. She hadn't expected to run into two other monsters here which made their chances of success go up at the very least. Though the devil Gra seemed intrigued at the very least.

"Well I see you enjoy torturing your prey before eating them. Well I don't see a problem with that, if you want to toy with them then you can do so once we round them all up first. We don't need one getting away and rushing to the town to get the guards," Nissa advised as she watched the blush on the devil's face start to appear. This looks like its going to be an interesting group for sure. Nissa thought as she pushed herself off the tree as the sun finally set below the horizon and the town started to come alight with torches as people moved around.

As Gra asked the demon the question it caused Nissa to cock an eyebrow as she turned to look at the demon as he stated his terms for the deal.
"I see no qualms with that and you are free to destroy whatever you want during this little outting. Just don't start a fire until we are about to leave the farm, if we do this right we can get everything we want and then cause a disturbance by destroying a source of supply for the village here," Nissa concluded as she placed her hands on her hips and looked down toward the village as the fires danced around. With an agreement made from all the parties involved Nissa turned around to face them.

"Well now that the sun has set, I suppose we shouldn't keep them waiting right?" Nissa inquired with a smirk as she started to move further down the tree line to a farm house that was a little ways off from the town that she figured would take about 15 minutes for anyone to run from the farm to the town if they were to escape. "This farmhouse I watched is fairly large a decent size family lives there and its one of the larger farms they grow wheat or something like that. So it makes the best target with the wheat fields surrounding it," Nissa explained as she led the way toward the fields of wheat as it swayed in the darkness.

With Gra's demands met she had no reason to not join the duo in their planned attack on the town and its citizens. The Vampire leading the operation, Nessa, seemed competent and cunning. The demon, Zolgen, on the other hand, appeared to be a brute with quite an amusing personality. His demands were simplistic yet devilish in their own right. He seemed to have no need for fan-fair or grandiose aspirations. To have fun and destroy while doing so, how carnal. It was charming in its own way. This was a group she could approve of, especially considering both seemed to crave power and destruction as much as herself.

Following behind Nessa, Gra set off for the farm in the distance, she had not been here long but had passed it by on her travels. Folding her hands politely behind her back the tall devil strutted along behind her future demon lord, the mischievous smile and glint in her eyes obvious to all. "Nessa, Zolgen. I do Look forward to our partnership. But I must say, I'm oh so curious as to your Ambitions. Nessa, you mentioned Demon Lord. What makes you seek such a coveted position? Have you any specific reasons to aim so high? Do you see it as a stepping stone to another goal perhaps? What say you?"

Turning to look at Zolgen, Gra asked the same question of him "And Zolgen, tell me. What are your ambitions? Do you seek to feast on the other races and bring about destruction blindly or have you a grander goal in mind? Do you seek power? Riches? Land? Dominion? You both have me quite curious~". Looking to the barn in the distance Gra could just barely make out some movement, her grin growing in response "I seek the power necessary to slay a god. To that end, I must ascend to the pinnacle of evolution. Simply put, I seek to grow stronger. I seek power. Power enough to lay waste to those races beloved by 'god'".

Laughing softly to herself Gra returned her gaze to Nessa "With that in mind, so long as I can grow strong. I don't mind working with someone who seeks to become a Demon Lord. Are you recruiting? Every Demon Lord needs their generals no? I'd say you have two rather good candidates right here my liege.". Stopping as Nessa did, closing in on the farm, Gra moved a hand to her mouth playfully "oops, did I overspeak? Time just flies when you're having fun".

Zolgen was pleased to hear Nissa did seem to back up what Zolgen had thought when he first heard her explain, she was clear and had a plan, much different than Shuten had been who liked to just run in and start attacking people. Not that Zolgen didn't have a lot of fun doing that but he knew that there needed to be more finesse at times when you were dealing with settlements, at least at their power levels to say the least. She also seemed to be keen on letting the newer person join which was a good thing too as far as he thought at the moment at least, her desires seemed like they had some overlap with his which was nice to see.

"I suppose we shouldn't." He stated with that to an outsider's perspective; uncanny friendliness in his tone of voice.
After Nissa finished up Zolgen nodded in agreement at what she had to say, staying relatively quiet for the moment, so he could further hear the brief, now following her towards their destination which was the farm house. People died all the time, if anything they were doing these people a favor, Zolgen thought to himself. Whatever came after death here was probably better, having seen the fate that was possible for them from other members of the dark continent. Grá was evidence of that well enough, with her inclination towards torturing it sounded like, Zolgen did always enjoy the look of fear and desperation in the eyes of someone before he snuffed the life out of them, he had a feeling that she would be fun to have around moving forward with this.

Zolgen listened to what Nissa had to say in response to Grá's question. intently curious himself, sure she said that the others needed to be ruled and those unsavory needed to be exterminated, but was that truly it or was there anything else personal to it or was she just a visionary who believed that? He hoped if things went well enough there would be some sort of future collaboration, not wanting to jump the gun here, while it had worked in the past who knew wha this would all lead to? But he was all for working together if they wouldn't get in his way.

He was a bit surprised to hear Grá direct a question at him too and share what her own ambitions were? Slay a god? That was pretty hardcore as far as he was concerned. And she had spoken like demon lord was an ambitious goal, slay a god! One needed to reach the pinnacle of power to meet that feat. Wouldn't that be something to slay a god? The idea actually entertained Zolgen's thoughts quite a bit after she had said that before he looked back to her, he would have flashed her a smile if he could have, but his unique head didn't really let him convey complex emotions that way very well. He found it quite admirable in a way to want to get that powerful.

"Well it is certainly true I enjoy feasting on the flesh of those I've vanquished.. there's a...how should I put it..innate desire to do that ever since I remember..but I also wish to grow more powerful myself, while it's always fun to partake in a slaughter I want to fight worthy opponents too, the thrill of battle and the ensuing carnage..destroying as I please, It makes me feel whole..unlike others where riches ensure a comfortable life style they are primarily a means to and end for power for me, one which I am quite fond of." To Zolgen it didn't really matter if it was human, fae, beast, or even other monsters if they got in his way, he'd fight them, constructs too but truthfully he had much more entertainment fighting things which bled and felt pain which was not the majority of constructs that he was aware of.

Zolgen would have grinned once more when he heard Grá call Nissa my liege already, He wouldn't mind being a general truthfully if it meant he got to fight powerful opponents who could provide entertainment for him, as they approached.

Nissa
anime, vampire, fantasy, silver hair, red eyes s-3808964931.png

Nissa looked over her shoulder as she saw the other two were following her, pushing the sea of wheat aside and moving into the field, which was the last obstacle before reaching the house. As Grá spoke, Nissa didn't turn her head to look back at the group as she was focused on making her way through the field. "Well as I stated before, Humans and the lesser races need to be guided and controlled. That is the reason I want to become a demonlord, power is nice, but there is a saying for it. Power is dangerous. It corrupts the best and attracts the worst. Power is only given to those who are prepared to lower themselves to pick it up," Nissa concluded as she reached into her cloak and drew the longsword.

When Grá spoke about her ambitions, she turned to look over her shoulder. "Well that is certainly a goal to reach for, though that will take some time to reach I suppose," Nissa stated before taking a deep breath she looked up toward the sky as the moon shined in the night. It wasn't the best situation however it was still better than being pitch black she supposed.

"If you are weak then I will use your mind, if you are strong I will use your bronze. So long as you are useful I do not care what you do so long as things are completed the correct way," Nissa stated as Grá spoke up and then offered herself and Zolgen to become a general. Nissa milled over the idea for a moment before responding. "I won't say no but I think you should wait and see how this all goes beforehand I think," she concluded before raising her hand up to signal them to stop moving as she gripped her sword tighter as a fence line was now within sight.

As Zolgen spoke of the thrill of battle she listened around hearing footsteps but they were a ways off.
"Well I don't hear anyone near us so far, but I'm intrigued to see this thrill of battle from you in action. But surprise is our best friend right now," Nissa pointed out as she approached the fence slowly looking both ways which lead to a small road at one end she could see the barn and a house not far off from it. The other direction lead towards the town if she had to guess.

Moving away from the fence she started to follow it toward the barn and the farm house after a few moments the sound of cows mooing from the barn could be heard. A single soul walked out of the barn carrying a bucket and walked into the farm house where light was coming out from the windows.

"So shall we go ruin their dinner?" Nissa inquired as she looked back over her shoulder at the group. She was eager for the taste of fresh blood as she licked her lips. Her plan revolved around them killing most of the family then leaving one to tell the tale running toward the town as the light the farm on fire and then make their escape. Simple because everyone got what they wanted, Nissa got her blood, Zolgen got his thrill for battle and meat, and then the Grá got her chance to play with humans.

Zolgen while appreciating that the devil seemed to be agreeable to him being a general too, it really was best if they figured out if they all meshed well together or not. Zolgen gave a nod towards Nissa regarding the thrill of battle, perhaps one day she'd understand, but he wasn't sure if anyone else did the way he did. He didn't care much either way about her comment about power, wasn't that what Zolgen was? He was a demon after all quite literally a corrupt being created from an overflow of magical energies, a corrupted body with power which desired more of it. To him it was only natural that someone would want more power and the more power the better, perhaps because he already felt corrupted to the core the wise words weren't of much thought to him as he almost chuckled to himself at the very notion of it all.

Zolgen nodded once more before replying to her quietly, "It'll be a surprise alright." Looking towards the barnhouse before them. He noticed that neither of them seemed particularly keen on charging in first. Zolgen had no qualms with that, these were just farmers after all, he probably would have gone in first irrespective into the action. Of course he hoped that Grá would join soon and Nissa as he didn't want to kill too many before they got what they wanted out of this. He paused on alert looking forward carefully as the figure entered that he saw in the distance. After it was confirmed that they had shut the door and there were people occupying the house.

He looked back and forth between the vampire and devil before stated, "I'm going in."

The tall demon than began to speed walk forwards towards the farmhouse door undetermined. He pulled his blades out, and his breath became more intense as he approached his target with anticipation. It wasn't long before Zolgen was at the entrance and the tall demon attempted to kick down the farmhouse door outright with a full force kick from his right foot, and if this was successful he'd breach the perimeter looking around gleefully for who his next victims were going to be.

Gra listened intently to her new companion's aspirations and answers with a soft and gentle smile, her eyes following whoever was speaking at the time. Nessa was intent on becoming Demon Lord and she seemed to at least be cognisant of the hardships and hurdles that would be placed before her on such a path. Vampires were not uncommon on the old continent but in all her years this was her first time dealing with one. Did all vampires share the trait of holding lofty ambitions? Gra wasn't one to assume so but regardless the woman's ambitions were impressive and seemingly thought out to some degree. Unfortunately though, it seemed the two would but heads when it came to how humans should be treated. That said her recognition of the dangers power could bring filled Gra with confidence. Only a fool would seek such a role without being aware of such dangers and Nissa, well she was no fool.

Zolgen then was a Demon of action! A real Demon's Demon. Powerful, Built like a war machine and from the looks of it more than able to tear those weaker races to shreds with his bear hands. The man enjoyed slaughter, destruction and the glory of battle. Well, maybe glory was a stretch, carnage as he put it probably suited his interpretation of a 'good' battle much better. Zolgen also seemed to be quite upfront and honest. He spoke his mind and sought his desires as they filled him. Power, he sought power. A common goal and something she found immediately made him more appealing as a long-term comrade.

As Zolgen moved toward the Farm House, Gra moved to follow suit. Though unlike her demonic companion, Gra was in no hurry and her stride reflected such. After all, the humans were already trapped within the house. Offering Nissa a sideward glance Gra spoke quietly, the sound of wheat blowing and rustling in the wind concealing her words from everyone else "I'm a woman of conviction. You may think my offer to be your General is premature. I can assure you though, I meant every word." Looking to Zolgen and his sudden kick of the door Gra chuckled "Now then, looks like Zolgen has already begun."

Looking at the barn, Gra decided to focus her attention there instead. After all Zolgen and Nessa were sure to be more than enough to handle some cornered humans taken by surprise. The real threat, as Nessa had suggested, lay in one escaping to town without the group's knowledge. Although it pained her not to be taking part directly in the main house subjugation, tactically it would have been reckless to leave the building unchecked and the road unwatched. Passing by Zolgen at the door, Gra ran a hand across his back with a soft chuckle "Do spare me one, won't you? And please, do remember it's good manners to knock twice. Once is utterly insufficient. Go for the hinges.".

Passing on by Gra made her way down the path the human had previously ventured, Making her way to the barn door where she politely knocked twice and awaited a response from within. Standing at the door with her hands politely folded behind her back the tall Devil stood patiently smiling sweetly. Intent on entering should she hear no response. Humming a soft tune to herself as she did so.

Nissa
anime, vampire, fantasy, silver hair, red eyes s-3808964931.png

Nissa hearing no one had any qualms was about to start to move toward the house when Zolgen stated he was going to take the lead. She didn't have any issues with she figured that he would probably be able to burst in there and deal with anyone in there. As he started to make his move, she moved around the side of the house and saw another door that led inside. Approaching the door, she licked her lips again. When she threw open the door she was in the main room saw 3 women, 1 man and well Nissa would have considered the other 2 males in the room boys but they were not quite adults yet. The room looked like the kitchen and there was a large wood table with multiple seats in the center of the room.

As Nissa had thrown open the door Zolen kick in the door swiftly and with enough force, the hinges broke and the door flew into the room crashing against the back wall and causing some shelves to come crashing down. 2 of the males rushed to find something one of them picking up an axe for wood cutting and the other found a knife which he held up.

"What do you want you demons!" The man shouted as he heard Nissa's footsteps from the other door he looked back and saw the two exits in this room were blocked off but there was another door that led deeper into the house. As the women were screaming and huddled toward a corner furthest away from the doors.

"Zolgen, feel free to kill those who resist, we will leave the ones who are too scared for our comrade to play with for a little while." Nissa stated with a smile as combat started. She moved toward the other male that had grabbed the knife and used her Draining Strike. The blade struck true however he was quick enough instead of landing in the intended area the boy dodged and got away with a gash on his arm. Which caused Nissa to grind her teeth a bit. Stupid humans just learn your place and die! She thought to herself and prepared herself to defend against a retaliation attack.

As Nissa engaged the other, the man rushed Zolgen raising his axe above his head as he went to deliver a strike which Zolgen would be able to sidestep as the axe landed in the wall next to the doorway but would take a few second for the man to pull it out of giving Zolgen a chance to strike back if he was quick enough to respond to the man.

As Gra made her way to the barn the door was open and there was a light inside, as she knocked there was a voice of an old man
"Tormund are you back? Does your mother need more milk?" The voice called out if she stepped inside she would see the man sitting on a stool. However, it was at this time when Nissa and Zolgen started their assault and the shouting and the sound of the door being kicked in alerted the old man who grabbed a pitchfork and started to run toward the door giving Gra a chance to strike the old man as he came out before he could get a chance to react or defend himself.

Zolgen heard the crash of the bookshelf after the bang of the door. Then he felt Gra's hand along his back and let out another distorted sound of approval humored he really did like her already!
"Of course my apologies." it wasn't long before he heard and saw Nissa make her way in, hearing people screaming and moving all around him. This was quite a familiar sight. That was okay, he'd show them how it was done, he did stand much taller more than likely than any human who was likely there.

Zolgen decided not to respond to the people asking them why they were there, who really cared, they would be dead soon, it wasn't like he was going to give them some grand monolog, Nissa was right, these humans weren't worth the breath even if he thought it was kind of ballsy they were trying to stand up to them, it was also incredibly stupid of them if they wanted to survive. Zolgen would be able to enjoy the easy slaughter at least he thought to himself.

Zolgen responded in monster to her, "Right." He let out with a bit of a chuckle, indeed they could leave more than one for Gra if the women were smart enough to keep to themselves, they knew very well they'd be slain if they tried to make their way out anywhere else at this point. What he wasn't expecting was how swiftly and well they reacted to being attacked a many people would have been too cowardly. Thankfully he reacted quickly enough to dodge the axe blow and instead decided he would take initiative.

After the axe missed he moved behind the man swiftly and attempted to use Demonic Twin Strike He'd first try to bring down Demonic Cleaver Sword #1 on the man's arm that was holding the axe in the wall, in an attempt to separate it from the man, if his sword connected, he would bring Demonic Cleaver Sword #2 at a diagonal angle on the other side of the man toward's the man's other arm on the other side.

If Zolgen managed to fell the man, and he didn't think the man wasn't capable of retaliating with the axe any longer, he'd then turn to face back at the one who Nissa was fighting.

Standing at the door, Gra was happy to hear a response from within the barn. It would have been quite depressing had she taken the effort to check such a place only to find bovines and their mooing. Stepping inside as the man moved for the pitchfork, Gra would be standing blocking his path out by the time he turned. Moving a hand to her mouth Gra let out an exaggerated gasp in response to the man's sudden uptake of farm equipment "Oh my! I'm terribly sorry. I did knock. Am I trespassing?". Taking a step back as the man readied the tool as a weapon the tall devil looked around as if startled and off guard.

But the second the man actively made a move toward her the devil locked her eyes with him and began to cackle disturbingly "I don't like toying with the elderly. They break too easily. Tell me what is it you truly fear?". Her voice was laced with disrespect and her eyes reflected this in how she looked toward the man as one might a bug. Her eyes glowed a dim purple as she held her focus on the man's own eyes. "Revel in it. Be consumed by it. I want to see you suffer. Tell me what it is you see! Tell me and I'll do my best to make it a reality once you awake!"

If the old man had sufficiently succumbed to his fears, Gra would move to disarm him while retaining eye contact. Kicking his pitchfork from aside him or grabbing it should he have stayed upright.

anime, vampire, fantasy, silver hair, red eyes s-3808964931.png

Nissa was a little too slow as her target went to stab her, causing the knife to bend however, there was a nice dent in the armor from where the man had struck. Nissa looked down as did her target with a smile on his face only to realize that he hadn't broken through the armor. Nissa looked back up with a rather annoyed look more so than she already was. "Learn your place!" Nissa growled as she went in using draining strike again this time striking the man in the chest as he fell backward onto the table causing the table to break from the force.

As Nissa looked over at Zolgen he cleanly had cut the axe wielding's man arm and then severed the next as the man let out a scream and fell to his knees before passing out from the pain. Nissa then walked over to her target setting her pack on the ground next to the counter. Opening the pack she removed several jars dumping the blood on the floor before grabbing the man she had stabbed in the chest and setting him on the counter before opening the man's throat with her sword and letting the blood drip into the jars.

Finding some cloth she wiped the blood off the blade and looked over to Zolgen, "Feel free to eat the man you just crippled and the one on the counter once the jars are full. We will leave the youngest here alive so she can spread what happened here to the town. But once our companion joins us you can freely destroy whatever you wish. But do feel free to start eating if that is your desire," Nissa concluded as she walked over toward the women that were trapped in the corner.

The women in the corner were terrified as they huddled together as if that was going to save them from what was going to happen. The crying and sobbing from them caused Nissa to roll her eyes walking around and grabbing a chair before walking toward the group. She looked between the three picking the older daughter she grabbed on to the girl's arm and yanked her from the group. As the mother tried to pull her back in Nissaused her free hand to point the blade at the woman's throat to which she let go the youngest started to cry even louder as Nissa brought the girl over to the chair and sat her down facing the other two.

Zolgen would notice the other door leading further into the house was cracked open revealing a sword that was hanging on the wall, the blade was rather large and looked like it was an antique but the craftsmanship of the blade seemed second to none and it was strange that a farming family would have such a blade in their home.

Gra would catch the old man off guard as he met her eyes only to be sent to a trap in his own mind. As the old man now looked much younger and he was in a town that was on fire, wearing armor his weapon and shield were not in sight as he was tied up watching the people be cut down in front of him. The man would shout and people were brought out over and over again. By this point Gra was able to disarm the man as he dropped the tool as he dropped to his knees on the ground. However the man was not fully broken yet but was starting to show resistance to the trance.

"Get.....GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" The old man shouted as he broke the fear part of the trance and slowly stood up through it was taking all his mental fortitude to force his body to move. He was very sluggish to the point a child could trip him with ease. Though it was evident that this man had to have been an adventurer at some point in his life or a guard as most old men would have succumbed already.

Gra watched with a bemused smirk as the old man's fears began to form within his mindscape. She knew not what his fears had manifested as but given they brought him to his knees, Gra suspected some deep trauma was at play. This intrigued her for more reasons than one. First off most elderly humans were liable to faint or to outbursts of emotion. Yet this old fart was neither weeping, wailing nor fainting. No, instead he had fallen to his knees and only his knees. The devil could sense a deep frustration stirring within the man but this was not something she had expected and that. Well, that just made things far more worth her while.

Grabbing the man's pitchfork as he knelt, Gra was careful to prepare for any counter the old fart may seek. But that was just good practice and smart preparation making on Gra's part. Never did she really expect him to so easily break her trance. Looking at the man with her eyes full of wonder and bemusement Gra watched as he made his way back onto his feet. His shouting was truly the cherry on top. With her grin twisting further and her blush suddenly remerging Gra was in her element. What had gone from a waste of time to a worthy endeavour had just now turned to a diamond in the rough! Oh, how fortuitous indeed!

Tripping the man as he moved forward, Gra ensured he fell face first. Whether he managed to brake his fall or not was of little concern to the woman for it mattered little. Taking the pitchfork Gra brought the weapon down on the man's dominant shoulder, aiming for the joint itself with her knowledge of torture. Her aim was simple, dislocate and cause some serious yet non-fatal pain. And to that end, the woman brought her own right foot down on the fork to drive it further inward and compensate for her lack of strength. Gra would continue to repeatedly hammer at the fork until she heard the tell tail crack she was looking for while revelling in whatever sounds the painful experience might cause. "I'm quite upset you know. I asked you nicely to tell me what it was you feared. Come on now, tell me... I just want to make your dreams come true... honest"

Zolgen listende to what Nissa had to say, and appreciated it. Glad that she seemed capable of felling the one she had been fighting herself despite there being a bit more roughness in execution. He wouldn't need too much feel pleased with himself. "Gladly." He replied with a sadistic edge. He took his Demonic Cleaver sword #1 and then decided to decapitate the one who he had successfully removed the limbs from. Better that this man passed out he figured, while the pain must have been immense in that moment Zolgen knew that he had permanently put him out of his misery in life for the time being.

The Demon then crouched down to floor level and put the swords back on his back, before picking up the man's arm that had been holding the axe and he bit into it like it was a drum stick, blood spurting out, it was a bit chewy raw but that didn't deter him from the taste of blood and flesh that he desired to sustain himself. "Mhm..a bit tough from all the hard work no doubt..and could use some cooking, but this is pretty good meat all things considered." He spoke in monster to no one in particular, before taking another large bite out of it, with a swallow.

When Nissa went to separate the young one from the mother , he could hear the crying continue, and it wasn't before long he found himself starting to laugh a bit at the sound in his distorted voice, but he eventually calmed down and took another bite, chewing and getting it down. As he sat up from his crouched position, looking over. curiously. Was that a blade he saw behind the door? While Nissa was taking care of her business, he, still with arm in hand made his way over to the wall and picked the sword up off of the wall and held it in his hand, bringing it closer to his eye hole and examining it to see if there was anything of interest about it. It did look well made, but why was it in a farm like this? It looked like it was adventurer or military grade.

Zolgen with the sword in hand made his way back into the area where he had fell the man, deciding he would hold onto it for the time being if anything, getting to work on finishing up the arm meat intending to pick it clear to almost bone from the meat, fat and musculature. He would have kept the bone had it been more valuable, but common human bone like this probably wouldn't go for a lot back in the area he was planning on heading to in the near future back on the dark continent.

In the back of his mind couldn't help but wonder how much longer it would take Gra to reunite with them, he was hoping that everything was going well on her end of things as it truly would be a shame if she had run into genuine trouble, he really was starting to take a liking to her in such a short period of time. Even so he felt confident she'd be fine, she seemed to be very capable to him to say the least.

Nissa continued to pace around the girl she had set in the chair stopping behind the girl. Storing blood was good and all but there was something satisfying about drinking straight from the source. There was a rush that Nissa couldn't explain as she smirked she heard what Zolgen spoke. Turning to look at the demon, "Well I mean if you want to cook it this is a kitchen if you so desire," Nissa stated as she turned back to look at the girl moving the hair away from her neck.

Upon doing so the girl flinched causing Nissa to smirk again. When she heard the Zolgen's footsteps she turned to look at him walked into another room and returning with a sword that make her take pause. "They had that just laying around?" Nissa inquired as she returned her attention to the girl as she then sank her fangs into the girl. There was a whimper at first but the girl relaxed over time as Nissa partook of the girl's blood.

The taste of fresh blood was almost alcoholic to her. It had been some time since she drank from a human. After a few moments, she stopped drinking the blood wiping the blood from around her mouth. She licked the blood off her hands as she grabbed the girl's chin as she seemed fairly drained. Looking back at the jars there were almost full she walked over and picked up the jars putting them back in her pack.

"My jars are full so feel free to do with the one on the counter as you wish," Nissa stated as she looked out a window she saw the door to the barn open but she wasn't sure what was going on. Glancing between the group in the corner and the chair and then the barn she was curious as to where their other companion was as there was a scream of pain that emitted from the barn.

"Seems like our companion has found someone to toy with, as much as I don't want to interrupt her we should probably consolidate everyone in here," Nissa stated as she let out a sigh walking toward the doorway that was lacking a door. "Well I will trust you to watch the group here while I go fetch her," Nissa concluded as she walked out and headed toward the barn.

Meanwhile, The man was tripped by Gra and landed solidly on his face hearing a few cracks as he did his nose had broken and he was bleeding from a nice gash in his head. it didn't take long for her to hit her mark as the man's dominant shoulder was now dislocated and he was fully free from the trance she had used thanks to the pain she had inflicted. The man screamed in pain as the pitch force drove into his shoulder. "You will have to try harder than that. I know better than to trust a demon," he managed to get out as there was another set of footsteps approaching the barn.

Nissa poked her head in the doorway to see Gra standing over the old man. "Ah so this is who you have been toying with, I do hate to interrupt you but we should consolidate in the house it will make things easier," Nissa suggested as she stepped inside fully now that she saw the old man he looked like he had seen a thing or two in his lifetime. The fact that he was still mentally there did surprise her since she figured the old man would have succumbed rather quickly.

Watching the man carefully so as to not cause any unintended harm as best she could, Gra listened intently to his cries of pain. Once he was finally free of her trance Gra was quick to pull the fork from his flesh. Blood would, of course, begin to pool from where the spokes had entered but it was of little concern to the man's life. Raising the fork to examine the crimson liquid dripping from it Gra's eyes dilated as if entranced herself. 'so pretty' .

Courtesy of the man's taunting, Gra snapped back to reality and shook her head disappointingly "tsk, tsk, tsk". Using the fork to attack his other shoulder in the same manner as before Gra was spoke in a disappointed and almost motherly tone. "Come now, that's just rude. Not to mention racist. Can't you tell I'm a devil? We monsters come in all shapes and sizes you know, not all of us are demons. You should really know that at this stage Mr....? OH MY!". Gasping suddenly Gra removed the fork and hopped a step back. Removing her weight from the mans back now that he was incapable of any serious harm "I forgot to ask your name! I got ahead of myself! My MY MY! I'm so sorry, where are my manners? Let's start over." Nissa arriving as she finished speaking.

Offering the man a polite smile and bow Gra introduced herself "I'm Gra Toirmiscthe. I'm a devil as you already know. Oh and I'm currently unmarried so you may refer to me as Miss Toirmiscthe. I can assure you the please of this meeting is all mine".

Turing to Nessa, Gra was quick to toss her new weapon aside. Dropping it neatly back aside an assortment of other farm tools on a rack. "Oh, my liege! Apologies it seems I lost myself, has it already been quite some time?" Looking back to the old man Gra moved a finger to her chin and hummed to herself in contemplation "Well he should be stable enough to move but I'm afraid I won't be of much help. I'm actually pathetically weak you see. I do so hate to burden you though..." Humming to herself again Gra gave the topic a little more thought "Oh! I have a great idea! Since we're going to burn the barn anyway why not move the others in here? I'm sure Zolgen could carry many a human without burden! And here there's only one door too!"

Moving to sort through the collection of tools Gra removed a bale hook from the rack and inspected it carefully "Of course, if you insist on the house we could always drag him back I'm sure...heh..heheh...ahem!"

Zolgen thought for a moment, he hadn't really thought of that himself now had he? He did have the tools to cook the meat that was available to him, but he wasn't sure if now was the time for that as nice as that could been with the oven available to use. Perhaps later at a more relaxed time than the present, after all there was more violence to be had soon. Once he made considerable process on the arm he had, he dropped it, before picking up the other arm off the ground, and turning to her after she asked her question about the sword he was now holding onto.
"They had it on display on the wall in that room, perhaps someone in the family is in the armed forcers or an adventurer." Zolgen stated tentatively as he actually had no idea why they had it. What he was more curious in was how well the blade worked compared to his own demonic blades.

He nodded when she mentioned the jars were filled. "Mhm, glad to see you're getting what you came here for." He replied in earnest enough the somewhat unsettling friendly tone returning as he looked at her, he would have smiled once again if it was possible to convey.

"Since you mentioned it I think I will." He replied before taking another bite off of the new arm and walking his way over towards the body she had left behind. He took the sword and brought it up keeping restrained force, lowering his strength grade used if need be since he wasn't sure what grade it was, before bringing it down on the guy's neck who had been drained. He mainly wanted to see if the sword had any special properties or if it was just a hunk of metal well made designed to kill people, he was assuming the later but who knew for sure until you tried?

Zolgen then called back to the others who were still there now switching into common language for them, a perk of being isekaied no doubt. "You hear that? You better not even think about moving from where you are, or you won't like what happens next." He said in a much less friendly tone, towards the scared group. Zolgen then continued to eat the other arm waiting for the others to reconven , watching the body carefully that he had now just tried to decapitate , as well as keeping watch on the group that remained as well as he could to make sure none of them got any ideas. He wanted to be on task for this first group activity and perhaps later he'd have more fun.

Nissa had come in to hear the part where Gra introduced herself and mentioned she was unmarried, to which she shook her head. Why that is important is beyond me. But I suppose if it gives her her kick. She thought to herself as she now noticed her presence stepping into the barn she leaned against a wood support beam. Drumming her fingers against her arm, she watched the devil toss the tool back into a pile of farm tools.

"Well you were taking a while, so I figured it would be best to see what was going on in here," Nissa replied as she looked at the man who was now on the ground with both his shoulders useless. "Though I suppose its fine so long are you are enjoying yourself but we do have other things to attend to." Nissa concluded as Gra suggested her idea Nissa simply shook her head before walking over toward the man grabbing him by the collar and started to drag him.

"All but one will be dead before we start to burn the place them escaping like that is the least of my worries but, we do want them all in once place. Plus there are more play things waiting for you to toy with in the house," Nissa stated as she listened to the man grunt in pain as he was dragged along.

"Besides, Zolgen is watching the others right now and its better to do this quickly and efficiently," Nissa concluded as she didn't bother to turn around and look focusing her attention on the doorway she could see into the house.

Meanwhile inside farmhouse two of the women were still huddled in the corner as the older one tried to calm down the youngest. However, that still didn't help much as the youngest continued to cry. Meanwhile, the girl in the chair was going in and out of consciousness. Though none of them seemed like they were going to take the risk of trying to run away.

A moment later Nissa walked in with the old man who she propped up in another chair next to the girl she had practically drained dry. "Well if they are still alive I assume they didn't cause any trouble. Gra feel free to play with them how you want, the one girl in the chair is mine but the others that are alive are all yours. Just don't break the youngest too much that will be the one we will 'let slip away' when we are done here and burning the place down." Nissa stated as she walked around to the girl struggling to stay away as she ran her hand along the side of the girls face.

Zolgen was a bit disappointed when it seemed like the sword he picked up didn't do anything particularly special when he butchered the corpse some more with it experimentally. Oh well there'd be more opportunities to find out later, even if it didn't have anything special it was nicely made so he'd probably hold onto it for the time being, and maybe he'd find something out different. Zolgen was reasonably satisfied that they weren't going to run now, but that didn't stop him from keeping watch like he planned. He took the new sword again and this time tried stabbing the chest of the body laid out, before pulling the blade back and attempted to chop off a leg, he then put the 2nd arm down that he had made good progress on before picking up the leg, moving the torn fabric from it. Zolgen was all very casual about this butchering he was doing like he was in a meat shop. It felt second nature to him by this point, the amount of people he'd killed to consume. There was part of him at the very beginning that had reservations about it, after all he used to be a human himself in the last life, but having experienced the nature of the dark continent, this was pretty and carnal to him, why not eat what you kill? Humans did it to other animals as ultimate predators, and in this world Zolgen was the predator.

Regardless Zolgen was glad to see Nissa returned seemingly unharmed, as well as Gra, which meant that things had gone well over there it seemed like, with Nissa getting right back to business. He gave a nod towards her once more when she spoke about them behaving.

"Mhm, a bit loud but they didn't move." He responded in monster and chuckled a bit since the sounds they had been making were ones of great distress. Zolgen was interested to see what Gra was going to do now that she had the opportunity too, unaware that she had already partaken in torturing earlier to such an extent. Since he was getting his meat it was only fair that she got to do what she wanted to do, and then they could both further assist Nissa with what she wanted to have happen since it seemed like what Nissa wanted was in line with what Zolgen wanted in having fun. He stood back up straight and continued to consume the meat he had, backing up and watching the scene unfold before him, keeping watch incase they needed an assist from him.

"Have fun." Zolgen said towards Gra, with a positive tone in his voice.

When Nissa began to drag the old man by his collar, Gra was a little disappointed. Not in Nissa's decision to go back to the house, but instead, with the fact, the bale hook wasn't used. With Nissa leaving the barn, Gra moved her hand to the hook and carefully picked at the stands of hay that remained stuck to the iron surface. Letting out a soft sigh the woman returned it to its rightful resting place and followed along behind Nissa.

Once back inside the house, the man was given a seat at the table. Looking around at the carnage and aftermath of what was undoubtedly a one-sided slaughter, Gra's eyes came to rest on Zolgen's new blade. It wasn't one she had seen him with earlier and given its design it was far too elaborate a piece for Zolgen to have commissioned. Eyes sliding back to the old man Gra came to the conclusion it must have belonged to him. How interesting.

Moving to inspect the two living and able women, Gra moved for the older of the two first. The mother no doubt. Placing a hand on the woman's cheek Gra spoke softly, her eyes deceptively kind and smile matching such. "Oh my, you seem quite upset. Sorry for interrupting your meal. Don't worry. I promise I'm not going to hurt you. A devil never goes back on her word you know. Now... Tell me. Who is this old man to you and what is it he used to do for a living? Tell me about the village and the guards stationed there. Is everyone who lives and boards on this farm in this house? Are you expecting visitors? Answer me. I'm just looking for answers, I can get them from you right?" Looking at the child, Gra continued "or shall I ask this little bean hmm".

"Well that is to be expected I suppose, they are basically trapped animals right now that don't know what is about to happen next," Nissa stated with a shrug. Pacing around the two chairs that were in front of the group huddled in the corner she brought her hand to her chin. Well, I suppose so long as we are out before the sun starts to rise it won't matter. She thought to herself moving towards the door to look around the immediate area outside before walking back in.

Nissa walked around the girl before she once again sank her fangs into the girl finishing off whatever blood was left. When she released the girl the body slumped back on the chair, grabbing the girl by the arm she dragged the lifeless body towards Zolgen setting it at the demon's feet before turning back to look at Gra. "Have at it Zolgen no point in letting something go to waste I suppose," Nissa concluded.

As Gra approached the mother and placed a hand on her cheek she would jerk her head a bit though the charm took effect by that point on the woman. Which wasn't surprising it wasn't like the woman was a fighter or had the mental fortitude to resist such an action. "He's my father in law and he used to be a guard in a town that was attacked by bandits and burned to the ground. I don't know much about the other guards other than the captain is rather skilled. Some say he used to be a general before retiring to become a guard captain in the town. This is everyone that lives in the house, there are no visitors persay but a guard does come and check on the farm from time to time though today typically isn't one of the days he shows up." The woman spoke in a monotone voice as the spell had taken its hold on her.

"A guardsmen?" Nissa inquired though that was more of her thinking aloud as she rubbed her chin. So it was probably better for them to not overstay their welcome if that is the case then. Besides it was much safer to move under the cover of night with current company. But Nissa figured she could keep the guard occupied while the others slipped away if the need arose. Given the chance she would just use her transformation magic providing the guard didn't have an orb on him then it would probably work for a little bit.

Letting out a soft sigh Gra shook her head from side to side before straightening her posture, flapping her wings as she did so. "What a disappointing revelation. A daughter-in-law taking her father-in-law's life isn't nearly as entertaining as one's blood child. What a letdown... though". Looking at the child, Gra moved to kneel next to the shaken human, offering her the same smile and kind tone she had done to the childs mother beforehand. "Little girl. Would you like to live? I'll let you run for help if you give me something in return. Hmm? Will you make a deal with me? Your grandfather doesn't seem to trust us monsters but I can assure you I always honour my words and deals."

Moving behind the child, Gra placed both her hands firmly on the girl's shoulders after she had helped her to her feet. Standing now with the girl in front of her Gra's attention returned to the old man who had been revealed a former guard. "Child, I will let you run for all the help in the world. But first you've got to give me what I want. Your Grandfather or your mother. Tell me which it is you're going to kill in return for your own life? Hmm? And remember if you decide not to pick one I'll ensure they both die terribly painful deaths instead. I'm being quite kind here. An escape and mercy to one of those two. So be a good girl and pick for me".

Glaring back at the mother who was still entranced, Gra's smile and kind eyes soon filled with disgust "What are you doing, stand beside the old man and keep quiet. I might have agreed not to hurt you but I have plenty of other ways to break you, woman." Those who broke so easily were no fun at all. The true target here was the child and old man. Returning her eyes to the old man Gra gripped the child tighter while staring down the old man once again "Tell me, which will it be? Will you kill your grandfather or mother? The other shall burn like the 'pitiful' creatures they are.". Laughing softly as the spell took effect, Gra leaned down to whisper to the girl "You might want to hurry"
