The year is 1998, a short time following the intense Battle of Hogwarts that changed the magical world forever. As the sounds of the battle fade away, Hogwarts Castle remains a symbol of strength in a landscape marked by the conflict that took place within its walls. The effects of the war are deep, visible not just in the castle's stones but also in the hearts of those who live there, reminding everyone of the sacrifices and losses experienced.

During this time of recovery and rebuilding, a new chapter begins at Hogwarts. New students, filled with both excitement and nervousness, walk the halls, each bringing their own stories of bravery and survival. This new generation, shaped by challenges, stands ready to enter a world changed by past events, yet full of hope for a future built on unity and understanding.

Alongside this new generation are the numerous students who remain from before the battle. They saw war, they saw fear, and they chose to come back to Hogwarts, determined to finish their schooling without trepidation.

As they move through the magical halls, these students carry the weight of history and the expectations of others, but they also have the drive to explore new paths. In this time of change and renewal, they are ready to leave their mark and shape their futures in a world where the past's shadows blend with the dreams of what lies ahead.

In this vulnerable moment, Hogwarts is exposed to new threats. With Voldemort defeated and his last followers sentenced, is Hogwarts prepared for what might come next?

[Unsorted at this point]
Ruth stands at a modest 4'6", a standard height for her age, showcasing her pale white skin and distinctive green eyes that mirror the lush nature she adores. Her long brunette hair, often braided or tied up, adds a youthful charm that complements her adolescent braces—a physical reminder of her still-developing identity. Her body type remains average for a girl of her age.
As the steam locomotive chugged along the tracks, thick clouds of vapor billowing into the crisp autumn air, an air of anticipation filled the carriage. Ruth Beatrice Norden wriggled nervously in her seat. The enchanting scenery of rolling green hills and dark forests blurred by the window, yet her mind was far away, getting lost in the whirlwind of thoughts occupying her heart. Today marked a monumental day in her young life—a day she had dreamed of since she first realized that the magical world held hidden wonders just beyond her reach.
Glancing around the compartment, Ruth noticed the laughter of a group of older students, their animated conversations swirling like a melody within the confines of the train. She tugged at her long brunette hair, which she had painstakingly braided that morning, and wondered if she'd ever be that confident. Everyone here seemed so effortlessly social, while she sat with her green eyes wide, trying not to bite her nails—a bad habit that she struggled with, especially when nerves struck.
Clutching her shiny new wand, made of hazel wood and boasting a unicorn core, she admired its craftsmanship. It felt heavy with promise, just as she felt heavy with anticipation. She had spent countless nights immersed in books about Hogwarts, dazed by magical spells, potion recipes, and the legendary tales of brave wizards and witches. Yet, now that she was finally here, the haze of uncertainty draped around her like a storm cloud.
“No going back now,” she whispered to herself. Taking a deep breath, Ruth’s resolve started to mend the fractures of her nerves. Maybe today would be an adventure.

Ashley’s light blue-gray eyes sparkled with enthusiasm, reflecting the magic of the day ahead. She loved everything about Hogwarts, but nothing was quite as exhilarating as the train ride. Each year, the journey to school felt like a rite of passage. Stepping aboard the Hogwarts Express, the familiar aroma of pumpkin pasties and the chatter of fellow students enveloped her, creating a warm cocoon as the train began to chug away from the station.
As she settled into a window seat, Ashley pulled out her well-worn copy of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," hoping to dive into the exotic lives of magical creatures during the journey. Yet, her focus was often diverted by the sounds and sights around her. Her friends, laughter ringing through the air, settled into the compartment, filling it with vibrant energy.
The Hogwarts Express was more than a mere train—it was a gateway to a world filled with wonder and knowledge. Ashley, who’s excelling in Charms and Ancient Runes, had every intention of contributing her own discoveries to that world. She had spent countless hours in the Hogwarts library, absorbed in texts about magical creatures and spells, and her heart raced at the thought of what awaited her this term.

Despite his impressive height of 6’1”, Stryker often felt like an observational outsider. His bright, searching green eyes, often sunken in from sleepless nights spent lost in books, scanned the swarming crowd around him. Though he appeared older and more mature than his fifteen years, Stryker’s insecurities hid beneath the surface, shaped by the burdens of ambition and familial expectations.
As he squeezed through the barrier, the familiar sensation of being enveloped by magic filled him with intrigue and nostalgia. The Hogwarts Express, a magnificent scarlet train billowing white steam, caught his eye as it waited patiently on the tracks, ready to whisk students away to the enchanting school that had captured his heart. Stryker leaned against a stone pillar, allowing the moment to swallow him whole.
Once aboard, he maneuvered through compartments filled with boisterous laughter, playfulness, and the overwhelming chaos that was always waiting to erupt amongst the Hogwarts students. In stark contrast, he found solace in his decision not to seek out a crowded compartment. Instead, he slipped into a nearly empty one, throwing his rucksack onto the seat next to him.
The silence of the compartment spoke to him like a siren, a current that would carry him away from the noise. He enjoyed these moments of solitude, where he could gather his thoughts or delve into the latest book he had picked up from the library in Oxford.
As the train jolted into motion, Stryker pulled out his notebook, its pages marked with sketches and notes of spells yet to be mastered. Sipping on a water he had packed, he scribbled fervently, his mind wandering from the importance of his OWLs to the anticipation of seeing Clara’s (his younger sister) enchantment with the wizarding world blossom. The memory of their summer afternoons spent brewing potions in their kitchen lingered, a reminder of the relentless warmth of family bonding.

[Astronomy and Charms teacher]
As the first light of dawn breaks over the ancient towers of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a silver-haired figure can be seen moving gracefully through the dimly lit hallways of the castle. Professor Iola Larch, the new Astronomy and Charms instructor, is preparing for what promises to be an enchanting first day of classes. At 37, she carries an ethereal glow, brought forth by her porcelain skin and silver flowing hair that shimmers like the stars she reveres.
The cozy quarters she inhabits within Hogwarts, filled with telescopes, celestial maps, and intricate models of star systems crafted by her own hands, reflects her passion for the cosmos. Iola’s affinity for the skies was nurtured from her childhood spent in a secluded, enchanted cottage in rural England, where she would spend countless nights stargazing with her family. This deep-rooted love for astronomy followed her to Hogwarts as a student, where she graduated at the top of her class in Ravenclaw.
As she stands before her window, gazing out at the rising sun, her very light blue eyes—almost gray—contemplate the day ahead. Iola’s gentle demeanor masks a fierce intellect and a passion for teaching that has guided her back to the castle once again, now as a professor. Though her youthful appearance is somewhat marred by the silver of her hair, she embodies the wisdom gained from years of experience and a magical lineage known for its scholars.
Dressed in a deep blue robe that reflects the colors of the night sky, Iola takes a moment to engage in her morning ritual. Breathing deeply, she conjures a soft, shimmering light in her palm—an enchanting display of stars that dance among her fingers. The ephemeral beauty of the moment brings a smile to her lips, and she mentally prepares for the notes she plans to deliver in her first lessons, knowing that capturing the imagination of her students is paramount.

[Headmaster and Herbology teacher]
While the sun began to peek over the turrets and spires of Hogwarts, casting a warm glow upon the castle, Headmaster Alaric Thomas Humner stood at the large bay windows of his office, his light brown eyes sparkling with mischief and intelligence. At 57, Alaric’s lean frame seemed almost youthful, a reflection of his vibrant spirit and undying passion for knowledge. Today marked the dawn of a new academic year, and with it, the rekindling of magic and wonder within the hearts of students and staff alike.
Alaric brushed a few wispy strands of his ginger hair back into place, unconsciously smoothing down the distinctive silver brooch shaped like a phoenix pinned to his robe—an emblem not just of the legendary bird, but a symbol of rebirth and resilience that resonated deeply with his vision for Hogwarts. As he adjusted the brooch, the mere act reminded him of the legacy he was tasked to uphold, following in the footsteps of Dumbledore.
The castle, imbued with a sense of anticipation, felt alive, nearly buzzing with excitement. Alaric took a moment to breathe in the atmosphere, recalling his own first day at Hogwarts as a student many years ago. A half blood raised in Cardiff, he arrived at this ornate institution with wide eyes and a heart full of dreams. Now, as the headmaster, he aspired to create that same sense of belonging and magic for every student who walked through those enchanted doors.
The warmth of the morning sun illuminated his office, revealing stacks of books on Herbology, Astronomy, and Charms lining the shelves—a testament to his lifelong thirst for knowledge. He had spent the summer crafting updated curriculum proposals that included contemporary magical practices, weaving together various disciplines to foster an inclusive and engaged learning environment. Alaric believed fervently in the idea that unity among the houses could flourish if students were encouraged to collaborate rather than compete.
However, his enthusiasm came with its own suite of challenges. Known affectionately as “the fun headmaster,” Alaric had a penchant for spontaneity, often organizing events that left students buzzing with delight. Yet, this zest for engaging activities sometimes led to oversights in the administration, causing friction with the Hogwarts Board of Governors. Alaric chuckled to himself, resisting the temptation to fix his hair again as he considered the upcoming welcome feast and the possible chaos it might unleash.

The bustling noise of the engine roared to life, contorted and seemingly rusted. Most students hid amongst their own houses to keep away from the natural rivalries. It wasn't bloodthirsty or anything, just like how wizards and witches might just act during some kind of fantastic tournament blinging in their eyes.

Her steady breathing was most she heard after her ears tuned out the grumbling of the Hogwarts Train. Serenity's own compartment was shared between three other Slytherins who minded their own business. The ride was supposedly-as always- a quick one, meaning those who were on it should quickly get their things once it stopped. After all, there were times student were left behind and had to get fetched by professors that were locking the entrance gates.

As a third year walking the wizarding halls of the school of magic, Serenity knew her way around places and didn't accept those who got in her way. It was just how her motive worked, and when something provoked her, she wasn't as pretty as she looked. Her hair currently were left in it's silken state-kept down so it drizzled past her shoulders and over her clothes. Lips were tightly pressed together, staring endlessly out the window where the view portrayed something she'd seen nearly all the time.

Being snatched from her 'home' every year was quite odd, but she accepted it simply because she had enjoyed her time here in some ways. Joining the Quidditch team was her best catch-practically one of the reasons why she was here in the first place. Other than that, learning spells proved to be useful past her first year at Hogwarts. Friends have accompanied her two past years, so this year was estimated to be near the same. Surely some drama was going to sprinkled here and there though.
