Right now,I'm playing as Nisha. Her action skill has a stupidly short cooldown,and giving her a powerful Jacob's pistol,a Maggie in my case,turns her into an instrument of Armageddon.

I'm running a Wilhelm, also with a maggie actually! Though I much prefer his laser firepower and all the rest, the guy just SOAKS in damage like no tomorrow!

Right before I begin here, I'm not angry, not at all, just a little bit of advice and all that from one RPer to another.


It's not so much a ruining of plans, as a hijacking of a scene that was unfolding naturally. As a rule, if you feel like you're maybe "ruining someone's plans" it's probably best to OOC message them and ask before you write your post


As it was, My character and Atoms character had experienced an altercation, to which Sim's character witnessed, and rather unobtrusively for a scene like this, offered some "help". Your character however has descended from the sky dramatically and now demands all the attention, which is not really the best way to go about things, right?


With your character now demanding all the attention, I can no longer reply properly. I would have liked to have gotten my character to her feet, thanked Sim's character, and then give an appropriate response to atom's character. Now, I have to disregard that, as your character now illicits some form of "Oh no, trouble!" response, which would be inappropriate for the rest of the scene.


Now, with that said, it is completely your choice where to place your character in an RP's opening scenes, but keeping in mind other RPers, it should also be in your thoughts to not disrupt any scenes that already seem crowded, and to let the story unfold naturally without forcing friction between characters for the sake of friction. You need to build tension and develop meaningful reasons for friction and animosity, otherwise it loses the depth and impact you're more than likely looking for, you see what I'm getting at


You need to build scenes up for the action to be satisfying!


It should also be added that we're not in an alley, we're in an extremely crowded public marketplace, Sim's character exited an alley, she didn't enter it.


Now... I'm going to reply anyway, but I'm also going to twist this scene a little to keep things from getting out of hand so early on in the RP, right? I feel it would be in everyones interests to continue building tension and to not spring any combat or action right away.
