Haha, was honestly just teasing, I have a theme of roses with this character, and thorns just happened to fit in, but I found an alternative if you prefer it, I'm good either way xD Still chugging along on my CS, might get it up by tonight, not sure, still working on some of the little details, fine-tuning his magic so it fits his abilities without being "overpowered" :3

@Hex, quick question, can abjuration make magical constructs besides barriers and wards? Such as metaphysical restraints to bind an enemy and such? Nothing that directly attacks them, mind you, just something to prevent actions, even if it's just changing the shape the barrier/ward takes?

But I can see Abjuration being anything the protects the user (or subject) from harm due to magic. And anything that deals with increasing or decreasing the potency of magic should fall under Metamagic. And of course, different branches can be used in tandem to create a spell with the effect of both branches.


A long winded response, but I do very much enjoy world building, heheh! In any case, I hope that answered your question.

But I can see Abjuration being anything the protects the user (or subject) from harm due to magic.
