Fantasy Witcher Roleplay

This looks really interesting! A lot of my friends have been playing the Witcher. Do you mind if I play a godling as a companion to my friend's witcher character? I'm thinking that they're just sort of wandering since their home was ruined by the curse.

I don't think I'd mind a Godling character if done well. Remember, people naturally don't trust monsters and although Godlings are friendly creatures, most people don't know that. Add that to the fact of just how dire the situation is right now in the world, there could be real danger for such a character. Just a heads up is all, I could definitely see it be done, and if that's what you want to try then I won't say no. I just can't promise anything ya'know?

Best of luck to you.

Chanticleer Chanticleer 's friend here! Really interested in the plot you've dished up, been yearning to get my witcher itch taken care of since completing the game.

I'd be happy to have you! Witcher 3 is a great game and if you liked it then I'd strongly recommend playing the second one as well.

Stop making me blush lmfao
But seriously i can help

I might hold you to that (Probably will) and I'll get in touch with you via PM. I'd appreciate the help greatly.

I made sure to barrel through 1 & 2 before starting 3! I was suprised as to how well witcher 2 held up in comparison. Witcher 1... not so much.

I had a couple of ideas about godlings that could even the playing field; I'd like my character to be useful, just in her own way. For example, if I work under the assumption that godlings are most similar to faeries/brownies from Celtic mythology, then they'd have illusory magic at the very least (at a low level, mind! I'm not planning on hitting sorceress levels of magic) which she could use to disguise herself as a human child when around humans.

Not to mention that she'd be a goner if she split from her Witcher guardian for too long; either lynched by a couple of villagers or ending up chewing on something toxic, y'know? Luckily for her, this Witcher is likely very protective of what's arguably one of the last few godlings in the country. It won't be like she's trying to defend herself all on her own; civilians and maybe even soldiers would think twice before hurting something that is important to a Witcher.

I've got plenty more ideas but I'm not sure whether to talk about them here or in PM, that's all.

OH
Side note before i forget
My dear friend AKALI AKALI is actually interested but they sadly cannot join due to the fact they are gonna be busy for the next few days
They said not to reserve anything but, is it possible fo you to keep an eye out for them?

It's good to see that you're brainstorming ideas for a character. I'd encourage you all to talk ideas here in this chat with others that are interested, I don't mind it at all. If anything I think it'd help the roleplay.

Of course! I don't plan on this starting for at least another week now. So if your friend finds some free time by then then they most certainly can apply to roleplay. I'd be happy to have them.

I really don't know what i want to play because everything is so interesting...

Will you be making pre-determined roles???
i second that

also what codes do you need? i sorta can start a template now

Guys guys,
I just found the best lore reference for the witcher. Enjoy my friend. Ik what im doing all day today while my face is frozen in a cucumber mask.

It's specific to godlings at the moment because I'm perpetually worried about power balancing my characters, but I'll write something up and post it in here for you guys. It's just that there aren't a lot of stats for the race, that's all.

In regards to characters this is what I'll say.

I know Witchers are gonna be the go to "type" of character most people will want to play. Why? Well that's the main appeal of the series, both in the games and books, they're a bunch of badasses in all honesty. Next I'd say sorceresses and sorcerers because of their magical abilities and the influence they manage to hold. Now this would naturally lead to a problem in the roleplay because lore wise these two types of characters are actually very rare. Which is why I'm going to impose a limit on these more rare character types. I'll probably only allow two Witchers and two magic user types. In regards to monster types, like outright monsters, I'll most likely ban them. That is unless I see someone pull off a very cool concept for a monster type. I hope this doesn't discourage you all from making the characters you want to play. It's just this is the sacrifice I'll have to make in order to make this roleplay realistic to the lore, and also viable to the story.

Hope this makes sense to y'all.
