Wild Horses:Assateague Island: ALWAYS ACCEPTING

Roaming free across the island of Assateague are the Chincoteague ponies. There is a Maryland herd,and a Virginia herd. They are seperated by a fence in between the state borders.


This roleplay will focus on the Virginia herd,which has the annual Pony Round-up. I suggest you read up on this "breed" on wikipedia. This really has no main "plot" it is just go with the flow.


Rules:


1. Nothing inappropriate. You can have foals,but don't get into anything.


2. Use grammar. One sentence/paragraphs are OK,but try and spell correctly.


3. Don't start any major events,unless you consult me and I approve.


4. You can have multiple characters and temporarily control a human.

I gallop along the beautiful shoreline,my hooves leaving tracks in the soft sand. I inhale the salty scent of the sea and listen to the calls of the seagulls flying above me. It's a perfect day.

He runs along the shore the water splashing calmly, He huffed as he ran, his thin black coat shining as he ran, His sister ran after him.


Diamond


She ran after her brother, and whinnied softly, Her hooves kicking up the soft sand, Her mane and tail flowing behind her almost majestically, she picked up speed and stopped beside her brother, They both panted softly then listened to the birds calling to each other happily, the spring was filled with newly born animals.


Shadow


He watched a flying squirrel carry her young o her back as she quickly scaled a tree, his eyes bright as he watched.

Genisis runs across the prairie, feeling the wind go through her hair, her hooves step inot the dirt.

I slow down and come to a halt as I pause to munch on some washed up seaweed. Some of the others didn't like it,but I loved it. I playfully whinnied and reared. This was a beautiful feeling. Being free. I watched the rest of the herd,coats gleaming in the sun. Life was good,but I knew it'd end soon. Most of the others in our herd had been through it before. Pony Round-up day. That was when the humans from the island across from ours came and captured us.We get forced to swim across the channel,the foals and yearlings get sold off. As a foal,I had been returned to the island. (OOC: Every year they have some foals they auction,others they return) The last two years I had swum across,and then returned. (The aldults are returned back to the island to keep up the population.) I was lucky,most other foals were auctioned off.

He began to graze, Genesis ran past him, He reared up and whinnied loudly to her in greeting, then stomped his foot against the soft lush grass, then began to graze again.

I turn my head and trot back to the rest of the herd. I lower my head and graze on the sandy,wiry grass that resides by the sea.
