The reason I roleplay would boil down to the act of pleasing my partner with well-written and creative responses. The positive feedback loop is an amazing feeling when you jive and riff off another fellow writer who shares, lives and, breathes the co-built world.
And then there's the friendship and understanding that ensues between the two said writers. A simple "Hello" and "How are you" from, basically, a stranger who cares is somehow one of the few, if not the only, unadulterated and purely motivated interaction(s) I partake in in my daily life.
