Other Who Do You Main? ( OverWatch )

Hello! I could use some OW friends and rp partners, so why not start a discussion on who you main and why? You can also discuss about the characters and who you think should be buffed/nerfed!

Alright, so personally, I have a main or 2 in all categories so I'm going to list them.

Offense: Tracer or 76 Defense: Junkrat Tank: D.Va or Orisa Support: Mercy or Lucio

Honestly, for a guy I main a lot of females lmao, but my favorite characters have to the shimada brothers, McCree, Mercy, Junkie and D.Va though. Im in love with Genji, just never been able to play him well lmao.

Good old papa smurf 76 has been my best man since i got the game! always loved him and heck what is NOT to like? Can shred up y'all minis and get some tanks down to more than half with a clip! and if that docent kill ya this mini rockets will! Plus he is the Number one case of "Phara accidents". He is my top character, my main to say the least.

As for defense...um...hmmm...i really don't like much beside the rat himself junk rat!

Tank...Zarya, none other, She is one of the tanks i feel comfy with being offensive, keep my buddy alive from strong attacks and myself, making me stronger at the same time! Plus, In Russia game plays you..

Support i have to say Our robot Gandhi, Zen, He might not have the best healing but his orbs will make sure to take out many...and easy, if not i will show Mercy to you all!

Gosh your mains are so lovely, I love 76 and lets be honest, im very gay for him lmao. He is so interesting. I haven't had him in an RP in almost a year. Wow that is long. Junkie is also my babe too lmao.

That's right, the one man apocalypse himself has been my best friend since I loaded into my first Payload round back in beta! He may not be the most specialised character, with "alright" tanking ability, but the sheer power of ripping one of those dastardly ult-ing Phara's from the sky is always a treat. That little gas canister has allowed me to hold off the enemy in losing 3x1 fights for just long enough for my team to swoop in like the Winged Hussars themselves. Now many call him an easy character, I can't argue there, but no matter how many people pick him up after a round of Whole-Hog branded salt, he'll always be my favourite slab of bacon.

As far as support characters go, I'm a big fan of Ana, the Widowmaker with a heart. She's getting old, but that doesn't mean she can't make sure her team gets to live a long life too!

On the offensive side, I can't not fall in love with Tracer! I'm no good with her, and she deserves better, but I do love being that jumpy little gnat! Plus, I mean, look at her.
I've also recently found a new love for Genji after having opened his super cool Voltron-esque skin in the anniversary event, but, again, I'm just pretty bad at playing those faster characters.

Defence, uh, right. Uh... I guess the other sniper could be fun? I don't play defence, pretty much ever.
Either that or I'm too ashamed to admit the amount of times I've run Bastion.
Let's go with not playing defence.

i shoold get better with the junkster, have not used him much To be fair -3-

I'm actually quite good with him if I do say so myself. But my bests are D.Va and Mercy. IF you are up for an OW Rp hmu bro!
 
D.Va and Zenyatta.
D.Va is the character I always have the most fun playing as and Zen is a great shotcaller with his E while still healing people and bursting tanks. XD

I like to play a few other characters but I don't think any of them can be called my mains as much as those two I mentioned :)
 
Offense - None other than the man himself, Soldier. I know people classify him as OU and my friends always complain that I'm using the "easy" character, but they're just hating on these skillz. Burst fire for days.

Defense - Hanzo is my main main, yes I'm one of those people. There's just something about using a bow that I love. That's why 3 of my favorite games are Tomb Raider, Shadow of Mordor, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Tank - Well if it's comp, Rein is my go-to. Any other mode and I usually go for the hogster. 3v3 elimination with him is just such a cakewalk.

Support - OFC Zenyatta, I use him a lot, like a lot, second in use only to Hanzo. Admittedly, I play him as more of an offensive character, finding those map sweet spots and unleashing chaos.
 
I main Mercy. I usually play supports in games and her flying is really fun! I also like feeling important :)

Other than that, I play a lot of D.Va and Symmetra, I haven't had as much fun playing a tank in any game as I have with D.Va for some reason.
 
Tracer here! she's bae

I have a bit of Reaper and Mercy on the side, and in Comp I main Mercy, but Tracer is always my favorite!
 
My mains have changed around recently, but probably Lucio, Mei, Junkrat, Orisa, D.Va
I've strayed a lot from D.va though :v
And I'm trying to get better with roadhog because he is a boatload of fun.
I also am okay with Pharah, sombra, mercy (used to main her but noone protects you so switched to Lucio lol)
It's hard to practice with new heroes unless you're on a personal team though. Ughhhh.

My favorite characters have to be Junkrat, McCree, Ana.. idk I love everyone!
Their interactions are so great.
One thing tht bothers me in particular is how you can't "boop" bastion in turret mode with Lucio. Like.. unless he's nailing himself to the ground, he's still the same weight. I guess that's not buffing or nerfing, but it seems dumb.. thenagain I don't believe you can boop a Rein with his shield.. >> ..
 
I'm a filthy Mercy main. But I also play Dva, Rein, Winston, Zen and Lucio. I consider Zen more of my main actually but my play hours uh...don't reflect that. I don't really touch dps but I like Pharah and Tracer <:
Does anyone here keep up with the competitive scene?

Keep up with the competitive scene in what way? Like knowing which teams are good/being played or..? C:

Freaking love Genji. I sucked a lot playing him at first, but I watched some videos and I'm slowly getting the hang of him, and it's hella fun. Gonna be rank 1 someday XD

I also like Zen for heals or D.va for tanking, also messing around with Pharah as a dps backup, but I'm not that good at her, since my aim sucks haha.

Reinhardt and Orisa in competitive, because nobody seems able to play Main Tank - but overall Genji if tank isn't needed. For healing I'll usually go either Mercy or Lucio. If Genji doesn't work as a dps I can play all dps characters competently enough for competitive with the exception of Widow, but if I have a choice it'll either be Soldier:76, Tracer or Pharah.

I've been playing around with Doomfist in the PTR though, and so far I've been having a blast - so I may well end up playing him a lot in live, at least once the initial fuss dies down.
 
I main Mercy however I enjoy playing Genji too.
I play a bunch others when needed.
 
I used to main Rein when he was staple part of the meta. But with the surge of dive, he's become pretty weak. It pains me to say that I now main DVA and contribute to the cancerous dive meta.
 
I don't really have a main; I like to keep it varied and, especially in competitive, play whatever character others seem to think we need.
 
I rarely get to play, since I only can at friends houses because my PC sucks. However whenever I get to I'm all up as Mcree.
