Other What’s your favorite genre to rp?

Fantasy - magical humans, God’s, magical beasts
Urban Fantasy - the above in the modern world
Sci Fi - usually like alien planets with cool animals
Superheroes - all camp all the time
Tamara Pierce
Harry Potter
Fandom Headcanons or fusions

I'm a sucker for fantasy, space operas/sci fi, superhero stories, and fandom crossovers.

My favorite genre, as in my absolute favorite whether in media, roleplay etc... is comedy. I just can't get enough of it. I love laughing, and it can span any number of genres and brings forth ideas that would make other genres, well, laugh their asses off at the sheer thought of trying :P On top of that, even comedies can be serious at times, which makes them a just very strong on it's own, great for the mood and adaptably variable genre.

However, while they don't top comedy, I do have plenty of other genres I love which I would consider my favorites. I love game Rps. I love urban and science fantasies. I love magical girl, battle and slice of life plots. I've recently really grown to love Isekai.

Since I'm on a roll, I might as well continue down. Things that aren't my favorites but I still like include mysteries, medieval fantasy, scifi and fandom.

I won't do historical, horror or any of the punks.

That said, except for the last batch, I can do a story based on my favorite genres or on genres I just like just fine. It depends mostly on my partner, current cravings and the plot or central idea of the roleplay.

Romance, Slice of Life and Romantic Comedies. Generally, the things that make you feel all warm and fuzzy on the insides. :33:

Fantasy, historical fantasy, action, mystery. Romance is a bonus.
Fandoms, but only very specific ones. I don't rp every single fandom I like ^^

I like to blend multiple genres into a single world... My range being from science fiction and space operas, to fantasy and horror. Somehow I blend them together well.... I don't know my process so its probably better not to ask.

I don't have any genre I particularly prefer as the central one, but I like to mix it up a lot of the time. Some humor, drama, and a bit of angst.

I prefer to “run” games, now I just freewrite narratives because I don’t have time or friends to play pen and paper, that’s why I’m here, prefer post apocalyptic, also Victorian or historical supernatural. I just like to write a few paragraphs and let others take turns explaining how they respond.

Fantasy, usually urban but I really am just a sucker for the amazing magical worlds. I don't do too much fandom unless I'm SUPER SOLID on how the characters should be played.

A solid policy, I’m not a fan of bastardized intellectual property.
Yeah, I feel wrong taking on a character unless they are either so passingly mentioned that they could have easily been a cardboard cut out just drug around on a string, or I've spent a huge amount of time pouring over their characterizations to get in their head.

I could see doing a historical figure or mythological one. Perhaps a personification of a demigod or aspect of Hercules or hades. That I could get into.

Sci-fi, fantasy, and something school-related. Haven't went into the crossovers department very much.

I would say it would be called Character Driven drama or melodrama if they were movies. I like interesting characters thrown into odd situations and seeing how they respond and deal with it.

Modern supernatural, hands down! Though there are times where I get an itch for a good SoL...

Psychological, Drama, Urban/Historical Fantasy, Supernatural, a spoonful of Comedy, and a pinch of Mystery.
You know, the kind of stuff that become extensively dark when stirred together.

Fantasy, scifi, post-apoc, alternate realities all rife with twists and turns that often lead to unexpected outcomes.
