It annoys me when people insist on only playing one or two types of characters. I feel like part of being a good writer is the ability to expand to many different character types depending on what the story needs.

Alpha Beta Omega. It's a fandom banned on this site do to NSFW and just to let people here know a mod actually stopped discussion of it all together on another thread. What is ABO?
"The Omegaverse is an alternate universe following the hierarchy of wolves. That is to say, the alpha, beta, and omega. This system is what also gives it the name "omegaverse" as well as the short term A/B/O."What is ABO?

Let it be noted the WOLF HIERARCHY idea is based on debunked research. Also it is a trope that deals in various kinks I can not name without risking getting in trouble. So if you go into it know it's very filthy! But it totally can be done SFW its just not known for being SFW.
I would say it is 100% an adult trope and shouldn't be done by kids. And by adult I mean theming is very mature in general, not sexual, but not something that handle themes appropriate for kiddos!
Sounds like it's getting into masterxslave type stuff and that is just yikes. I don't have many limits on what I will write, but things like masterxslave, teacherxstudent, bossxemployee, etc. make me super uncomfortable due to the power imbalance.
Ay yo Id never heard of this ABO stuff but that's super gross lol.
I don't like when there's a massive difference in strength between characters.
Trying to balance an rp encounter so that all characters can be of use is hard enough as it is without half the characters been able to destroy a smaller village with a sneeze while the other half is "above average at throwing axes".
I'm not sure I understand the point that you're trying to make. Would you mind clarifying it a bit for me?
DBZ would be a really boring anime if you did that!

A lot of roleplayers get sick of this on so many levels.
No point for a battle rule list when someone just 1 hit ko the boss of the dungeon.
What is the point of anything if one person shoves everything aside to show how much better their character is.
Person tends to be annoying ooc
They usually don't even care about storylines for other characters. It's all about there precious oc.
Times 10 on throw them to the curb if they immediately complain about others being op after all their bs.

Spend the whole day building the set up for a supernatural RP set in a specific historical period, complete with numerous suggestions for the types of characters one might find in such a setting.
See the first character sheet submission.
*insert anachronistic modern anime face claim and character that makes no sense in the setting*
Have to figure out how to kindly suggest to a person who clearly barely read any of the exhaustive background information you provided that basically everything about their character needs to change.
Weep.
I really don't like being picky or exclusionary when this site is all about people having fun, but sometimes it's really frustrating when people clearly just want to insert a character they like into any RP even if it's totally immersion breaking.
Think about it like this: if that character does join then it won't be fun for you or the other players. Sometimes you have to say no.

My natural desire to include people makes that a challenge. I like to give folks a chance to adjust, but sometimes the writing is just on the wall.
Sounds like the worst. Anime FC's in anything non-animated really breaks the immersion for me.
