Fantasy What is at the end of the road

Void smiled, sensing the possible eavesdropper start to leave. "Oh no you don't" Void softly whispered, shadows popping up in front of Areiet to prevent escape, hoping to see justice dealt, either by his own hands or by this community's rules. Quickly standing up he uses his magic to search for Areiet, quickly sensing her location and slowly walking towards, like a lion closing in for the kill.

Areiet sighed, and ran her fingers through her hair making a mess of it as she did. "What was he saying?" She had only caught a bit of the conversation but even that was difficult to hear. Just then the ground in front of her started to go black, she stopped in her tracks, confused and surprised. "Is this black magic?" Instinctively she started to back away. She was still too weak from her training to sense where the magic haad come from and didn't have enough spirit left to cast. "Colt?" she called out thinking it was him again. "This isn't funny.." she said quietly looking at the blackness take form.

Steps through the shadows, a smile on his face. "And neither is eavesdropping" holds his hand up high, channeling magic via powerful emotions, a smirk on his face. "Too bad you're a girl," lowers his hand "so now I have to come up with a different punishment then hitting you, for even I'm not that much of a monster"

Areiet stumbled backwards and let out a tiny gasp as the man she was watching stepped out of the shadows. "Eavesdropping?" She looked him in shock. "Bu- but I wasn't eavesdropping I was only curious. I- I mean I've never. . ." Her words trailed off as the rest of his words registered to her mind. "Punish?" she said quietly then backed away. "Even if I was eaves dropping, which I wasn't what right would you have to punish me?" With her fists clinched tightly she tried to muster up just even a little bit of magic.

Rather walks up quickly and cast a spell of biding on void and shoves him."dammit areiet get out for God's sake leave and dammit you void I need you to shut up so I I can talk to you for one fucking minute"!he screamed at the two.

Hundreds of spells rushed through Areiet's head, dealga agus fíniúnacha, the spell of vines. "That would hold him so I can get away." She thought to herself, bur just then Rather ran up yelling a flash of magic leaving his hand. Her first encounter with him and she was being reprimanded. "I'm sorry I-I. . . " She looked back and forth between the both of them and turned to walk away.

Growls, working on the spell with dark magic, already fighting Rather's magical grip, fueling his magic with raw emotion. "Not my damn fault you're so slow at speaking fool, I have better things to do then listen to you."

"Well I wish to acquire both of you to help me on a task, and if you are curious void there is a reward in store for both of you if you chose to accept". He said with a smile.rather then releases his spell."and it so happens that I summoned areiet here for this very matter".he said turning around and winking at areiet.

Looking over her shoulder Areiet laughed nervously then quickly looked away. "Well maybe I should let you two speak alone for a bit, I'm sure it must be something important." She glanced over at the man she now knows as Void. He looked like he was going to burst with rage and even in the state she was in she could feel magic pouring from him. "I'm sorry if you thought I was eavesdropping, but honestly I wasn't." She looked away smiling meekly. "Why did I have to be so nosy...?"

"No areiet it is quit fine because what I say concern's both of you and to answer your question void what ever you wish. Now if you will hush and listen I will explain the task". Rather said pulling up his chair. "The task is to go retrieve a book that was lost long before this hell has started.the book may contain secrets to magic we haven't even dreamed of. Because you aren't the only one that knows dark magic void." Rather said with a fain smile. "This task requires three people me and you two if you Guy's accept this offer". He said looking at the two.

A look of concern played across Areiet's face as her brow began to lower. "Us two?" she questioned him and looked around, there were many others who could easily take her place and certainly do a better job. "But I'm sure you know about my magic it-it isn't complete." She cleared her throat the sighed. "What I mean is, I know some magic, but I'm not nearly as strong as the two of you." Fighting her natural instinct to quickly tell him no and run she spoke quietly. "But it does sound like fun."

"Well areiet I will make you cone whether you like it or not, and as for you void if you don't then it looks like I can't continue with our expedition".he said in a tone like ice to the two of them. Then rather bbent close to void and whispered."and if you decline then I can't help bring back your parent's back to life, because believe me without at book we can't do anything to bring back your parent's. Or we can't stop this hell.

Void chuckled, cold fury showing on his face for a second, his magic level spiking furiously, softly whispering "mention my parent's again and you'll find out why I'm void the impaler first hand." Grinning slightly he says, "so my reward is anything I want?"

Areiet stood there staring blankly at Rather and Void her mined flooding with discontent. "Make me?! Who does he think he is, my father!? I know he has authority here but to just tell me I'm coming whether I like it or not! Tch... These people around here have some nerve!" Brow frowned and arms now crossed Areiet opened her mouth to speak but the words would not form. The air between Rather and Void stifled, the pure rage and malice, was enough to make even the most strongest willed person stand down. Gathering up a little courage she put her hand to her mouth and cleared her throat trying to get their attention. Anything to distract them from one another. "I wont be needing a reward, u having a safe place to lay my head at night is enough for me." She said motioning to the grounds.

"Well void I know very well why they call you that name, and and as for you getting this angry there is no need for that I just simply said something to you and for your reward you can have anything you like as long it does not involve the death of any one of our order, or the ownership of any one of our women". He said with little ease as if nothing had happened between the two earlier."and as for you areiet I can fell your anger rising because you don't want to go, but it was not my decision for you to come. It was the masters decision". He replied to the two.

Void laughs, throwing his head back. "Why would I need those rewards? What I wish to receive is the book." Grins, suppressed rage still built up. "You hardly know why I earned that name, why I did what I did. Don't speak as if you know why I have my name, or how I earned it."

"Master Aterin?" She sighed then shook her head lightly. "If it is Masters orders then I shall follow them wholeheartedly." Areiet still didn't wish to go but, how could she go against someone like Aterin. Void still seemed like he was in the mood for a fight even after Rather had calmed down, and to make matters worse the reward he was requesting was the very item they were going after. "Do you think its wise to make such a request?" She rubbed the back of her neck pushing her hair off to the side. "I mean you might anger Master Aterin. Besides there a many books her you could study from. . . Aren't there?" her voice trailed off and she slowly looked away.

"Well then you can have the book all we need is a few pages of it, but if you are still itching for a fight you will get one not now but if you wish still at the end of the journey we may fight but not now". He said with against smile."also areiet is right if wish to learn more than you are welcome to take some of the books that I have written. But make it quick because we leave tomorow at sun rise." He said heavily. "Void you are welcome to taking anything you NEED, and the same goes for you areiet". He said after a while.also we better gobstart packing before night fall approaches because we don't want to be late for dinner". He said with a smile.

"If my hunch is right, that book was mine before I came here, the original necromancer's book" Smiles, eyes closed, remembering the death and destruction he caused with that one spell, a despairing hollow feeling filling him up where angrer once was.
Void hums, the shadows forming a circle around him, a sickening splat sound can be heard as a few pikes rise out of the ground, whistling as he checked each one. "I'm already ready."

"Oh no I wouldn't need anything from such a book. I learn from the earth." The thought of leaving tomorrow was bothering her but what could she do. "I don't need such dark things, all they do is corrupt, how do you think this land got this way?" She looked at Rather then to Void. "Such things..." Shadows started to form around him. "Things such as that I despise the most." She spoke softly and walked away. "I'll be in my room til its time to depart." Areiet raced to her room and slammed the door behind her. "How did things end up like this?"

Sits down, determined to watch until he's out of this damnable place. Not because he hates sleep, but because he wouldn't put it past some of this vermin to try and cut his throat.

"Well I guess it is time to go eat care to join me void it is beff stew to night"he said with a smile as he walked towards the door and stopped waiting for answer. "And if you like you are welcome to join me in my room". He said with a smile

There wasn't much she needed just her oaken staff a small enchanted book which held all the spells she knew, and a bag Instructor Colt had given her. The bag it self had a spell placed upon it, despite its size she was able to place anything within reason inside. "I guess he was right, I was going to need this. . ." She tossed the bag to the side and sat in her window watching as the sun moved slowly across the sky stealing away the freedom she had left. "What was Master thinking choosing me?" Curling up and resting her back on he cool glass of the window she rested her head on her knees and was lost in thought.
