What Happens At Hogwarts

Charm stopped, catching sight of the Slytherin boy in the Garden through the castle window. Signalling to her friends that she'd catch up, she stepped out into the grass, approaching slowly as not to frighten him. She cleared her throat, hugging her book to her chest. "What are you reading?" she asked,

Angello opened his eyes when he noticed someone sneaked up on him and violently closes his book as if to hide its secrets. The wraps a bit teared could reveal part of the cover to have some sort of drawing with the tip of a triangl and a line in the middle with the rest being hidden. "Nothing for the light hearted. Your methods... are quite unorthodox Ms. Fudge." Looking at her wondering how a girl who looks so perky and much to his shame to admit, pretty, could be such a dexterous duelist.

Charm laughed, the sound light and tinkling. "I wouldn't say unorthodox. All's fair in love and war." She sat down by him, laying her books to the side, still very much curious about the book he was reading but trying to be polite and not push it. She watched the still water before speaking. "I wouldn't say I'm lighthearted either." Her voice came out a little sad, but she smiled to ease it once she realized.

"I never expected someone from Gryffindor to enjoy casting curses like petrificus totalus instead of defensive spells like expelliarmus" He said also looking at the waters spotting her reflection in the water. He started to put his book in the inside pocket of his coat discreetly showing again his crimson wand with the metallic lion head on the handle from the inside of his clothes. Quite a wand and clearly not your regular twig. "Don't you have a class to go to?"

"That doesn't look like an Ollivander," She murmured, ignoring his question about class. She knew she shouldn't skip, but it was so interesting to know about a Slytherin without them scowling or sneering at you.

Confused at what she's talking about but then makes the connection when he recalls Ollivander. "Someone like him could never craft a wand like this one. I don't even know if there's someone alive who can. It is a family heirloom that has been passed down." As he takes his wand out admiring it. But then he frowns at it "However it is still not the best wand."

Charmen watches him eye his wand, confused. "How can you pass down a wand? It has to choose you, doesn't it?"

"Yes. That is why this wand is special. It chose my family, to be wielded by the head of the family. And since my father is here no longer then that makes me its current owner" He says as he brushes the shiny grey lion with his thumb, barely showing any kind of emotion as he hints about his father's fate.

Charm looked at it a little more closely, intrigued before standing up quickly, looking at the large clock. "Oh Merlin! I'm Sorry! I'm going to be late!" With that, she ran toward Professor Flitwick's classroom, leaving behind her journal, her journal full of her progress in transforming into an Animagus. An Albino Husky.

Angello looked as she ran away and than his eyes lowered at the journal she had left. He was always one for reading and since the opportunity presented itself then why not study the competition a bit. There he started eyeing the pages realizing what she was working on. An animagus? What a goal at such age, and her progress was remarkable. Angello admired her work except for the creature he had chosen which looked too harmless in his opinion. It had teeth so it could be helpful he thought. He planned to give it to her in a subtle way once the bell for lunch should ring.

Charm's passed as slow as it possibly could and though it was one of her favorite classes, she found her mind wandering to the Slytherin boy and his odd wand. How interesting that a wand would choose a blood line rather than a sole wizard like the norm. Charm thought back and found herself cringing. She hadn't caught, until it was too late, the hint of his father's decease. Guilt wracked her emotions as she realized she had rushed off without offering him condolence. Would he have noticed? She made a mental note to very smoothly tell him how sorry she was for his loss. Maybe she would invite him for a drink at Three Three Broom Sticks this weekend. It was, after all, the first week in and- "Oy- Charm," came a voice to her right. She turned to see Fred (or was it George) Weasley. She smiled at the twin and he grinned back. "Guess what we saw-" "On The way over here." finished the other twin, who sat on Charm's other side. "We saw a Gryffindor Prefect-" "Cozening up with a Slytherin nobody-" "Care to explain?" Charm raised an eyebrow politely. "I wouldn't call anyone a nobody, Weasleys. Besides, it's not against the law to talk to another house, isn't that right, Fred?" The twin in question (to her right) turned red and grinned. "Right you are, Fudge-" "And you would know all about the law, aye?" Before the twins could get another word out, the lunch bell rang, and Charm shot up, ignoring the grins from the twins, and headed for the Great Hall, scaning the crowd for her new ... friend?

Angello heard the bells and head into the Great Hall. He was mysterious as always but kept an eye out for any girl sporting Charm's same hair color and Gryffindor traits. Why was he willing to do such a noble action as returning a possession to someone who lost it so clumsily? A Slytherin would know better than that. He saw Charm looking around the room and sat deeper in his seat sinking himself as to not be seen. Who was she looking for? Could it be him? But why would she? Perhaps she realized she left her journal when we had our little meeting? All these questions roamed around Angello's mind. He saw his own pet Owl Nydia and had a wonderful idea.

Angello reached his bag for Charm's journal and gave it to Nydia giving the bird specific instructions to drop it in her lap. He stood watch as the bird went and delivered the journal while reaching his own bag for his mysterious book but when he pulled it out he realized it was Charm's journal and not his book. "..Bloody Hell.." He said quietly as his eyes widened. If anyone were to see what was in that book, even the Ministry itself would come after him for it wasn't just your common library history book.

No, if one were to take off the wrapping around the cover that said 'Property of Angello Maquernasey of House Slytherin' it would reveal a triangle with a circle inside and a line splitting the figure symmetrically. However this was not the Tale of The Three Brothers with the symbol referring to the Deathly Hollows. The book wasn't even a book but someones notebook, rather aged. If one were to open the cover they would see the words 'This notebook is property of G G'. Only Angello knew that to reveal the contents of the book one would have to chant several secret revealing charms.

He couldn't let a prefect know about this and quickly stormed from his seat in direction to Charm hoping she wouldn't open it just yet.

Charm sat, her gaze still wandering for the Slytherin boy when a screech was heard overhead. Mail at this hour? A book dropped solidly on her lap, smarting her thighs slightly. It was unfamiliar and old looking. Property of Angello Maquernasey of House Slytherin. Curious, she tucked it neatly under the table and opened the cover. This notebook is property of G.G. How intriguing. It was someone's journal. It was Angello's journal. Charm hesitated and closed the cover. It would be rude of her to read his notebook. Unless he was the one who sent it to her, in which case, he would want her to read it, right? Charm bit her lip, so engrossed in her thoughts, she didn't notice Angello making his way toward her seat rather quickly. What was her options? he could read he notebook and risk his anger or not read the notebook and foolishly snuff his offer at possible friendship. She jiggled her foot, opening the cover again. She flipped to the first page. It was blank. Second- blank. Why would he send her a bkank notebook. Unless it was enchanted. She took out her wand and whispered under her breath "Reveal your secrets..."

At a distance Angello pulls out his wand thrusting it at the book closing it suddenly moving the air around it but not before the first letter started glowing and revealing themselves to you. This notebook is property of Gell....G. Angello knew this was dangerous. What did she see? What does she know? Apparently not only Gryffindor's are prompt to clumsy mistakes as he was judging her earlier on. The eyes around the table were set on them both since this was a rather unusual thing, specially as it seemed he was pointing his wand at Charm from anyone's point of vue. "I think he wants to challenge her again!" "What a sore loser" "I thought no one won that duel?" Comments were starting to fly everywhere. Angello decided to ignore these and approach Charm to deliver her journal "You... left this. There seems to be a mix up, may i have my book back please?" He asked politely hoping she would return his possession.

Charm gasped when the book slammed shut in her lap and she jumped surprise. Her head snapped up at she met Angello's, his peculiar wand still pointing in her direction. So it wasn't meant for me to read. She cheeks blushed a rosy pink as he approached. She paled like that of a ghost when he handed over her Animagus Journal. "There was a mix up. May I have my book back please?" "Yes I- here. I'm sorry," she stammered, snatching her journal and handing his over without having to be asked a second time. She stood, tucking the journal in her bag. "I'm sorry. I- for everything." She was hoping he understood she was referring to his father as well as her snooping. She put her satchel over her shoulder and made her way out of the Great Hall quickly, ignoring the murmurs that followed her.

Angello frowns as she apologizes not knowing what she means and as he stares back at everyone else they go back to their own business. The air around him getting scarier for some reason. He proceeded to storm out of the Great Hall in direction to the garden where he pulled out his mysterious notebook to see what she revealed.

This notebook is property of Gellert Grindelwald. She had indeed cast a revealing charm on the book, the letters of the first page still glowing. She was a smart one, knowing the book was hiding secrets. If she had discovered the notebook she would probably had been able to discover the same secrets Angello did, but that was against the nature of a student in Gryffindor. Did she have time to see the full name? will she talk and reveal about his possession? Angello was troubled at these questions wandering where she was exactly at this moment. Why would she apologize? Unless... she was going to tell the Headmaster! Angello began panicking at the thought of this and walked in circles around the garden trying to think on what to do.
