I love having positive interactions with people during roleplays and OOC, it really gives a good vibe to the whole group all the time. Making friends through roleplay is the best experience ever!

i see roleplaying as more of just writing collaborations . and i like writing so its very very fun to me. its interesting to see what the other person could come up with my ideas

Hi!!

I love the charries I make cuz I base them on people i know or even me. Then like I mix n match or put their personas in diff bodies and love to imagine what they do in the ridiculous or fantastical situation they in.

I used to do a lot of self-inserts now one of my charries is a gf insert lol

I love reading mangos, but there's always that one idea that I truly love and would like to try and execute on my own but not enough to write a fanfiction or actual book for. RP's give me an outlet to explore those outlets and have someone else affect the flow of my story in ways I would never have tried myself. :3

Its a tie between two things, which kinda go hand in hand. 1. The character relationships: Roleplay allows you to be another individual. Perhaps its the you that you want to be. Perhaps its the you that you can't show around others through normal means. Having two characters bond as friends, enemies, or more can help you find the flaws in not just your writing, but yourself. 2. The OOC relationships. Roleplay can help you build a bond with people you otherwise would have never spoken to, and bonding through imagination is just so beautiful.

Several things. For starters, there's the main reason I roleplay: An outlet for my creativity. I have a strong imagination and my brain just keeps spitting out more ideas than I know what to do with. Roleplay is one of those hobbies that lets me express myself creatively while making something out of those ideas and, quite importantly, allowing me to share them with others. I think this one idea is really the basis for most of what I love about roleplay and several other hobbies I have.

I think that's one of the reasons for absolutely loving to read my partner's/player's/fellow player's posts particularly those responding to me. I love seeing how people interact with the things I bring to the table, how they react and respond and how they flesh out what we're making together.

As others have said, making friends and memories through RP is another aspect I quite love. It does depend on the community a little bit I've found, but you can make some really great and lasting friendships even with people with whom roleplaying doesn't work out in the end.

Roleplay is great for certain kinds of ideas as well moreso than other writing mediums. As someone who loves worldbuilding, sometimes I make worlds or want to explore some settings but I want to do it with other's perspectives. Same for some ideas, especially those that involve high dynamism, they provide an interesting challenge to write but there's a fun all its own in letting someone else take the other role.

Lastly, though it's more of a specific subsect of roleplay, I quite enjoy roleplaying through RPGs with their own systems that I enjoy. It has many of the advantages of freeform roleplaying while also giving a fresh new support from the gamey mechanical aspects which can be an entirely different way of playing and roleplaying, and a different way of thinking and approaching the narrative, characters and so on. I like finding and applying how to express flavor ideas through RPG mechanics and I like how RPG mechanics can create built-in ways to give new direction to the narrative via limitations, mix of mechanical strategy and narrative sense or even plain ol' dice rolling.

The character sheets, just SEEING the good plot as an interest check, and posts that interact with a swelling amount of characters.
