The Nintendo manchildren? Although they aren't really a fandom, and aren't really clingy.Alright, I think I finally finished my big list. Any other fandoms that people want to offer up? I might have forgotten one or two.

Sonic, even though they've calmed down (similar to bronies) I still see pretty cringy sonic shit everywhere I go.
Also there's a minion fanbase.
I'm not talking about all the fucking marketing. There's a fandom.Dear Deers
How could I have forgotten Sonic? And Minions are everywhere. It's a virus—a marketing scheme. Can it really be considered a "fandom"?
I'm not talking about all the fucking marketing. There's a fandom.
It's probably one of the cringes things I've ever seen.I think that's by far, really, really emo and edgy. And sad.
I get the feeling there are just some similarities about those games or shows that just make them susceptible to certain kinds of fans.
I don't really look into it, and I really don't have a good explanation for it either, just that the things with the most notorious fandoms must have a somewhat similar theme or style to them. It could be pure speculation on my part, who knows. But I feel like one day we're going to get to the point where we see a certain piece of popular content and everyone's going to be like, "yep there's going to be a crappy fandom for this soon."
A different way I've thought about it, and sort of a question for the interested - what kind of games or shows would absolutely surprise you if a 'cancerous' fandom decided to take root in them?
Like if you went on an art cruise one day and you suddenly saw lots of content that was like "yo here's my cringy fan art or character" on something you enjoyed, would it make you go "wait, is this really happening right now?"
I did go "yep, this is going to be a shitty fanbase" when bendy and the ink machine. Indie horror games that rely on things tied to people's childhood to scare people. Five nights at Freddy's with the animatronics and bendy and the ink machine with the cartoon characters. Tattletail with the furbies and...I get the feeling there are just some similarities about those games or shows that just make them susceptible to certain kinds of fans.

I like your avatar but you ought to replace roblox with minecraft.
Don't forget that they are robots haunted by the souls of children. And here's my list
inhales
FNaF - robot x robot porn, need I say more?
Undertale - Goat x skeleton porn, do I really need to explain?
Tattletail - Can't process information, too cancerous
Bendy and the Ink Machine - The game is good, but you know the fandom is cringe y when they draw r34 of a damned ink demon and a wolf(?) replica of goofy getting it on (if you don't get it, best to not know). And let's not forget those who draw OCs and then say that they're "Bendy's girl(boy)friend".
MLP - To be honest, this fandom has gotten better over the years but it's worth mentioning.

That's it.
