The date is November the 18th 1986! Welcome to Miami! Synthesizers, drugs and gang violence galore! Today is a very special day, for it marks the beginning of the Apocalypse! A frightening full eclipse surprises the planet when television, video game consoles, brick phones and every electronic shut down after Earth was hit by a powerful dose of solar radiation!
Anarchy rises and takes to the streets! Shady organizations, gangs, and mobsters engage in an endless fight for power. People are advised to stay in the safety of their own homes and barricade themselves until the violence ends. Some have even taken shelter in underground bunkers. However, the brutality does not end and the government is slowly suppressed, as the masses greatly outnumber the army and in an uncontrollable rampage of one organization, Birds of Prey, the president is assassinated.
In time, violence had become mundane. America falls into a spiral of madness until BoP strives to take control of the once-great nation. Normality is more or less restored through force, rather than agreement. Anything or anyone that is considered a threat to the newly born "government" will face its worst agents. You are one such agent. Sent to mercilessly serve "true American justice" to whoever dares cross the new rule. The city of Miami has become just a big meat grinder; people go in one end; meat comes out the other.
It is November the 18th 2016, and recently, most of the technology of the 80s has been salvaged and repurposed, including power plants. People are free to live in whichever way they prefer, as long as they abide by the rules of the new patriotic government.
