Grace

Grace went into the locker room to change. Put on her uniform and made her way to the gymnasium, They were holding tryouts in the gym this time. Grace didn’t mind it didn’t seem as much as a big deal to her. But she couldn’t help what Abigail might’ve thought, that girl must be upset. Abigail’s tough..But here’s to hoping that the tryouts go smoothly.

She knew the basketball team was going to be practicing, so after they were done. The girls’ would have tryouts. She then remembered Sawyer was going to be there. A small smile came across her face. As she stepped through the gymnasium doors, she furrowed her brows. Confusion setting in as she stared at the boy with the skirt on. She opened her mouth to say something about it but decided against it. Instead she said “Glad to have you try out for the team.” And tapped him gently on the shoulder.

She looked around for the other cheerleaders, she didn’t see Abigail, which was a bit weird. But she caught sight of Ash, who was talking to Sawyer? Grace made her way over to them. The conversation seemed a bit heated.

“Hey, what’s going on?” She asked with concern. Her eyes switched between them both awaiting an answer.

Jace nodded his head. "Yeah, texting would probably be easier. Uh, if you don't mind, I can put my number in your phone." He said, awkwardly gesturing towards her phone since, well, he obviously hadn't done so yet, and he felt weird giving someone his number. It was new to him.

"Uh, I don't do anything." He admitted. "I usually just go home after school. My sister is in cheerleading, though, so sometimes I wait for her since otherwise she has to get a ride or I have to come back." Of course, they weren't very far from the school. "But do you want to try and find that pool?"

The giggles didn't seem to bother Bjorn when he entered the gym. Not because he was stupid and didn't understand why people were laughing, but just because he was too busy having a good time. What was the point of getting upset over a simple understanding. He was already wearing the skirt, all he could do now is have a good time.

"My eyes are up here." Bjorn commented, addressing a group of basketball players laughing especially hard.

As he walked to the bleachers, finding the trio of girls, something seemed. Despite not know any of the girls in the slightest, Bjorn was still concerned. He'd most certainly do whatever he could to try and resolve whatever issue they were having. " Ash, you started this. I'm not taking this skirt off, I can pull off legs..." He joked, turning a bit more serious. "What is..umm...What is upsetting?"

Winona opened up a new contact and handed him her phone, she grinned at his awkwardness and tried her best not to make skin contact, not knowing whether or not that would make it even more awkward. She nodded vigorously when he asked if she wanted to find the pool. It was at that moment Winona realized that she had no idea who this boy's name was. She hoped he would put it in, Or I could just tell him my name and assume he'll tell me his. Ooo unless he has a secret identity and can't reveal his name. No Winona, that's just silly. Winona shook her head only slightly getting rid of her impossible fantasies. Winona felt she was making this way more awkward than this was, and was overthinking it way too much. She had never given out her number to a boy, in pretty much all her life, well there was her friend, but he didn't count because that was middle school, and everybody knows those don't last.

Jace quickly entered his number, and then handed her the phone back. "I, uh, put it under Jace because that's my name. Well, my nickname because my real name sucks." Oh, so, it didn't suck. But there were thousands of guys named Jason, and he hated going by it. Of course, his father always called both him and Ash by their full names -- something that bothered him, but that Ash had learned to deal with and wasn't bothered by. It had caused more than a few fights between him and his father, though. "Umm, you can text me your name, if you wouldn't mind. As long as that wouldn't be... weird..." Oh boy, Jace was a mess.

"A-Anyway, uh, I can try texting my sister to see if she can tell us where the pool is, or we can just show up at her tryouts." Although, being surrounded by cheerleaders always made Jace super uncomfortable, and he'd heard that the basketball tryouts were happening, too. So lots of popular, athletic, sweaty people in one large room. It was like a party, but without the smell of alcohol and weed, but it was just as bad and horrible to him... but he had no idea if Ash would even have her phone.

Samantha had finishes up in the ladies, washing her hands and was making her way back to Angelina. Someone caught her attention from the corner of her eye; a blonde girl who was crying. "Hey, you okay? Here" Samantha offered the girl one of her tissues.

Wendy hesitated on the offer, eventually accepting the tissue and dabbing her eyes. She was, just, so drained and her guard was down. "Thanks" She whispered to this new girl, breathing deeply before getting herself under control.

"No worries. Want to talk about what's making you upset? I'm a good listener". Samantha resisted the urge to rub her eyes as this girl's perfume irritated her nose and eyes. "How 'bout we go outside and talk"?

Again, Wendy hesitated. She wasn't one to trust a stranger, even if that stranger's a student. Then again, talking outside would be better than here in a claustrophobic hallway. She nodded quickly, not really caring anymore. Although this stranger had a sense of respect and a good vibe. She smoothed down her skirt and blew her hair away from her face as they made their way outside through the back exit.

Mason was the first to notice Stu's arrival. "This is the freshman who's supposed to be amazing at football?" He asked, laughing and shaking his head as he looked him up and down, arms crossed over his chest. "He doesn't look like he could take down a fly, let alone another player." But, well, no one else had shown up yet -- although Mason hadn't really been expecting many to show up. The team was pretty much already decided from previous players, and they didn't really need more.

Drake sat up, looking at Stu with a grin. "Hey, man! This is Mason, my big brother and football captain. Macey, this is Stu, neck tie wearer, football extraordnaire." He said, triumphantly gesturing towards his precious new find proudly. Hey, anyone who could pull off a neck tie had to be someone that could tackle people in angry. And sure, he was tiny, but he was mighty.

"Well, I doubt it." Mason said, and then noticed the McDonald's bag in Stu's hand. "Aww, did you get a Happy Meal before you showed up?" He asked, then looked towards Drake. "I bet you're starving." He said, throwing yet another rude dig at Drake's decisions.

"Me?" Drake dramatically threw a hand across his chest. "Why I never... Well, actually, yeah, I am kind of hungry. I forgot to get lunch." After handling Stu, Drake had gotten distracted for a period of time staring at a painting on the wall and trying to decide if she should taste it or not. For the record, it had tasted like dust. This school really need to clean their things better.

Sawyer
Sawyer's defensive stature deflated the second Grace appeared next to them. Besides, Sawyer had been kind of rude and there was no reason to get angry at Ash in the first place. Sawyer hadn't been the best person to Ryan either, so she was being kind of hypocritical. It seemed like all Ash wanted to do was apologize and Sawyer couldn't fault her for that. Honestly, Sawyer couldn't fault her for getting mad at Ryan and Keenan early either because if Grace hadn't been there she probably would've been in a whole lot of trouble right now.

"Nothing." Sawyer directed toward Grace, "We're just-" At that moment a boy in a skirt sidled up to then and Sawyer raised a brow as Ash spoke to him, "Uh....okay. We're just gonna pretend this is not a thing." Sawyer waved a hand at the skirt clad boy and shook her confusion off her face before turning back to Ash.

"Sorry. I-I am going to go find him after tryouts. I have to be here or Coach Olsen will literally kill me so..." Sawyer frowned, "But I don't have my car, I rode with Ryan. There's no telling where he went so we can't go looking without a car." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. Great, this is just what she needed right now. Not only did she not have any idea where Ryan had gone but now she had to hitch a ride to go find him. This day was shaping up to be a lot more stressing than she'd hoped it'd be.

"This is Bjorn, he's trying out for cheerleading." Ash explained at Sawyer's confused look, and then pointed towards Melody. "And Melody, soon to be best cheerleader on the team." She said jokingly, although it wasn't mean. Just... probably offensive to the other cheerleaders who had been there longer. Especially Grace who had already made it to captain as a sophomores, something that hadn't gone unnoticed.

"Well I carpooled with Jace." She said. "I have a car back at my house, but... well, getting there's the problem." Plus, that would be time taken out of their busy day. "When your tryouts are over, we should look for him. I don't have to be here... right?" Ash asked, directing her gaze to Grace hopefully.

"Can you call him? Maybe he'll answer and tell you where he's at so we can get him?" Ash asked Sawyer, hopefully, although she was sure that Sawyer had already tried. But maybe she'd have some kind of luck this time.

Grace

She nodded at Sawyer, although still a bit confused. It didn’t seem like nothing. Ash introduced Bjorn, which didn’t clear much about the fact that he was in a skirt. “I’m Grace.” She shook his hand. And chuckled softly when Ash introduced Melody as ‘soon to be best cheerleader’ to Sawyer, It was a joke. But Grace saw potential in her. Melody definitely had the right enthusiasm for it. And Grace was excited to see what she could do.

Her attention turned back to Sawyer when she spoke, saying that she was leaving after tryouts, hopefully to find Ryan. But she didn’t have a car. Grace immediately went into thinking mode, she could drive Sawyer. But that’d mean she would miss cheer tryouts. She couldn’t exactly just leave..Could she? Well..technically no, But she could do something about it.

Before she could do anything, Ash said that she didn’t have a car at the moment either, she then looked to Grace asking if she was needed at tryouts. No she wasn’t needed. But truth is, Grace respected Ash’s opinion much more than Abigail’s who wasn’t even here at the moment. Which she couldn’t help but feel a bit glad that she wasn’t. It wasn’t for her own sake. Abigail could be kind of mean when she wants to be. It wasn’t particularly exciting to hope that Abigail isn’t going to scare possible cheerleaders away.

“No, you don’t have to be here.” Grace replied without looking at her. Still deep in thought. trying to think a few things through. A few seconds passed, she wasn’t even paying attention to what Ash and Sawyer were talking about. At the moment she was too focused on trying to end tryouts early. It wasn’t typical of Grace to do something like that. Cheer was incredibly important to her, but she wanted to help. So she decided she would. She sighed heavily, as she hoped she wouldn’t regret this. “Melody, ..Bjorn. Congratulations, you’ve made the team.”

She turned back towards Ash and Sawyer. “Okay, cheer tryouts are over. After you’re done here, we’ll leave.” She shrugged nonchalantly, taking a seat on the bleachers, making herself as comfortable as one could get. If she was waiting, might as well right? “I have a car, i could help.” She decided to add right after. As if forgetting to ask if she was even allowed to help. Grace pulled out her notebook from her bag, drawing tiny doodles to pass the time.

Melody beamed almost jumping in excitement from the news. Tryouts were tough but she was ready to go out on the field. She had also been writing a chant for them to say on the field when the football games started. The flips and turns and the twirls and splits all are what made cheerleading so much fun. They would have to choreograph all their moves making sure they were perfect. "How could forget your routine." Why must memories like this cloud her mind during happy moments in her life? But then again the voice was right she might forget the routine and mess up the whole show forever one. She would practice hard every day so she wouldn't forget. But when has that ever helped in gymnastics? Once again she feels discouraged almost like a failure. Grace made the wrong decision she should have chosen someone else.

"Who are you looking for Ash?"

Matilda "Fish" Kwan

Matty jogged leisurely down the hall, clad in basketball shorts and a t-shirt. These would be coming off in time, of course, and she couldn't wait. She'd spent all summer training at the public swimming pool, not wanting to disappoint those who now had high hopes for her. She'd been the talk of the school and the 2A swimming world for a hot minute, the freshman who'd come out of nowhere and exceeded all expectations. She smiled a little at the memory.

That was how she had made friends with Drake, Mason, and all the other jocks. Though she often felt her relationship with them was fragile and could seemingly break at any moment, she was thankful for it and the great times they had had together thus far. They didn't treat her like a girl; they didn't tease her or flirt with her or talk to her like she was different or separate from them. She was one of the guys, an insider. It was all she really wanted. It was something she'd definitely never felt with girls, who always seemed to treat her like she didn't fit in. She knew not all of them were like that, but it felt that way.

After the ruckus over her victories last year, her parents had started a scrapbook full of newspaper clippings and photographs in preparation for what they insisted would be a fruitful high school athletic career, and she'd rolled her eyes even though it had made her beam with pride. Under that pride, however, was a rather substantial amount of fear. She’d set the bar pretty high for herself. There was a clear chance that she wouldn’t meet expectations. What would happen then?

She shook the thought from her mind, turning her thoughts instead to the events that had transpired throughout the schoolday. Lunchtime had ended on a high note; she remembered grumbling a reluctant but heartfelt “I love you, too,” through involuntarily puckered lips as Drake had held her face, squishing her cheeks. She had then explained to their new friend, Stu, that her name was Matilda and Matt was just a nickname. She’d also made it a point to encourage the way he was dressed, saying it was nice to see something different for once. Then they’d shown him around the school, though a bit of that time had been dedicated to keeping Drake from barreling into classes that were in session or eating things that really shouldn’t be eaten. They’d ended up missing out on food, but it had been a good time overall.

Matt’s stomach growled as if complaining about this last thought as she stepped out through a side entrance and jogged to the football field. She hopped the short fence separating the bleachers from the field and made her way to where Drake, Mason, and Stu were talking.

“What’s poppin’?” She greeted, slowing her jog to a walk as she approached. She noticed Stu’s slight wardrobe change and smiled. “Hey, where’s the neck tie, Neck Tie? It was starting to grow on me, I think I want one, too!”

She had to force herself to look away from the fast food in his hand, licking her lips without thinking. She turned to Mason. “Hey, could you ask coach for me what games he wants me to waterboy for? I was gonna stick around for practice but swim starts tomorrow and I wanna get some laps in.”

Wendy sat outside, round the side of the school with Samantha. She'd only just learnt of her name, spending most of the walk in silence whilst Samantha kept asking her questions after introducing herself. She set her books down on the ground so she could hug herself, the cold air lashing at her body. She noticed Samantha try and hide a little sneeze, smirking inside. "Bless" Wendy muttered.

"Oh, thank you. Allergies. Now, you know my name but I don't have the honour of knowing yours". Samantha was glad the weather was a little windy; the breeze blowing the scent of Wendy's perfume away from her direction but it wasn't much. Her nose still tickled, which made her sniffle every now and then. She did not want to try and connect with this girl whilst getting bombarded with sneezes.

"Wendy. Wendy Williams. And I don't want to talk to you for too long. I've got things to do. Just... tell me what you want to know".

"Well, Wendy, why were you crying earlier? I want to help you fix whatever's causing you to..."

"Stress. School and homework. The usual shit".

"Right. Nothin' else? Come on, Wendy. I'm offering to help you here".

"Are you my therapist? My Mother? Nope? Good. If I wanted help, I would have asked. So stop worrying about me, you pathetic bitch".

"Oooh. Playing the question game, the 'if I wanted' line and name dropping all at once? Cliché. Plus, is that all you've got? Pathetic bitch? No 'f' bombs? No 'c' word? Well fuck me".

"You shut the fuck up! You fucking slut! You're just as bad as that chubby bitch I bumped..."

"HISH'CHEEEEWWW! HISH'YYYEEEWWW! AH'CHOOOOOO"!

"Bless".

"Thank you. Wait, what chubby person? A girl? Wearing a dress? Was she wearing a pair of black glasses"?

"Mmm hmm".

"Wendy, you I'm unculuted. That chubby girl is my sister. What did you do to her? Or what happened"?

"I... she bumped into me. Broke my phone".

"I see... so that's why you're crying? Because my sister broke your phone by acciddent"?

"She bumped into me intentionally"!

"No. Angelina would never do such a thing with any intent. She's never one for impertinence or violence. I know her too well".

"How do you know? That bitch bumped into me on..."!

"She's my fucking sister, you forgetful dit. I suggest you rephrase your statement. Tell me what really happened".

Wendy had had enough, picking her books back up and marching off. Samamtha shouted at her as she flipped her off.

Neck Tie glanced back and forth between Drake and Mason. Drake must have given him quite an illustrious reference, maybe a bit too illustrious, because his brother Mason was full of doubt and mockery.

Neck Tie lost his usual cool. Mason might have only been joking, but no kid enjoyed being patronised like that. From that moment, Neck Tie made it his sole purpose to prove the team captain wrong. He was going to be put on the starting eleven before the day was out. Mason would owe him an apology then.

‘It’s not a Happy Meal,’ he answered firmly, ‘They’re only nuggets, aren’t they?’

In case there was any outstanding doubt, he even proved the case by showing Mason the contents of the bag. Being called Neck Tie was bad enough, he didn’t need people calling him Happy Meal as well, so it was a good idea to dispel the myth before it spread.

Drake said he was hungry. They’d both missed lunch together, thanks to that meeting with Principal Nona.

Then Matt came pacing up the field toward them, and boy was Neck Tie glad to see her. He was beginning to think she mightn't turn up. Matt was oozing friendliness and positivity just like before in the hallway, and her being there took a lot of the tension out of the equation.

Where’s the neck tie? He flung it over the rainbow that’s where. . .

Matt missed out on her lunch as well, and licking her lips for her ration. Now there were too many hungry mouths to feed and just 17 nuggets to go around, and the cruel universe had handed Neck Tie an impossible task. But Neck Tie remembered from Sunday school that Jesus did manage to feed 5,000 with just five loaves of bread and two fish. So like a good Christian, he offered the nuggets to everyone, Mason included, and told them he hated chicken.

It was a good thing Matt was there, too. Now there was another to witness him demolish Mason on a one-on-one shootout. Neck Tie was ready for this. It was as if his whole life had been building up to this one moment. ‘I’m not just a lightweight,’ he said to Mason, ‘I can play, alright. I'll take you one-on-one if that'll prove it. . . Just give me a chance and I’ll show you.’

Now to defend the honour of the Moreton Youth Club. He would have had his old coach beaming with pride. . .

For club and country.

"Looks like a Happy Meal to me." Mason replied with a shrug. He turned down the nuggets, although Drake happily took them, thanking Stu and setting the bag next to him on the ground. He only ate a couple, wanting to save some for the everyone else. After all, Drake wasn't super selfish, although he was probably more selfish than Mason -- but Mason would deny it every time.

He glanced over at Matt, smiling. "Of course. Don't worry about it. I'll have Drake text it to you later." Another thing Mason didn't possess: a phone that could text. His was an old flip phone with limited minutes, so he had Drake do everything important, such as this. Drake's phone was basically their shared phone.

"Alright, twerp. If you think you can take me in football, let's do it right now." He walked over to where his pile of stuff was heaped on the ground. Mason's old backpack that he'd had since middle school had finally given up and broken completely before this year. The price of backpacks was way too much, so Mason had opted to just carry his stuff. So there were his books, next to a football, which he picked up, tossing it over to Stu.

By now, a small crowd had started to develop when they heard about what was happening. Most teams had been trying out today, so as tryouts finished, students started to gather.

"You can even start with the ball. Whoever gets it to the goal line first wins." Mason said, gesturing out towards the field. "If you win, I'll quit as team captain today. But if you lose..." He thought long and hard about it. "You have to be my servant for... a month. Carry my books and stuff around. Help Matt with water boy stuff. What do you say?" By now, Stu wouldn't even be able to back out as students kept gathering.

Angelina was nearly home when she considered what to wear for later. She wanted to wear something elegant but James did say to wear something practical. So no short skirts or revealing shirts. Maybe some jeans or shorts? Maybe a tracksuit but they made her heat up rather quickly. She let Samantha know she was almost home.

Unlocking the front door, Angelina resisted the urge to crash on the couch, going to her room and stripping down to her bra and knickers, abscently checking her body size in the mirror. Going through her closet, she browsed through her various outfits before settling on some ripped jeans and a shoulder-off blouse along with some grey trainers. She even went through her desk drawers and switched from her black cat framed glasses to a more luxury-looking pair.

Emerging from her room in her new getup, making sure she had everything, she sat outside and waited for James to arrive. She got one of her tissues out and muffled a sneeze, her hayfever playing up yet again.
"Why now, allergies"?

James was in his clothes from high school. Normally he would change out, but that was when he would work out then go there. He didn't need to. He slowly pulled up to Angelina's house, and got out of his car. "Hey beautiful. You ready?" He asked walking over to her and sitting next to her. "I've already let them know that you're going to be accompanying me. I also asked if I could join you in what you do to help train." He said smiling.

"Of course. I wouldn't want to keep you waiting". Angelina found herself fixing her hair without fully knowing. She was hoping her new outfit and glasses would catch his eye. Then again, he's seen her current pair of glasses before. She thought he'd only seen them once.

"That's great; I wouldn't, really, know what I'd be doing otherwise. I promise I'll try my best tonight". Angelina set her feelings she had for James aside. Tonight was about the animals. Then James. She pocketed her tissue and stood, pushing her glasses back up her face. "Let's go".

Alester McGregor
The day had started great. Alester had slept trough his first three alarms. If he missed his first alarm he couldn't shower. If he missed the second it meant skipping catching up with his social media and if he missed his third alarm it meant no breakfast. It had been very busy at the club last night and Alester had to stay to close everything. He looked at his phone, he had gotten four whole hours of sleep, he had survived a schoolday with less.

After putting on some clothes and trowing some randoms books in his backpack he got on his bike and started cycling to school. After a quick stop at the bakery he got some fresh breads, the stuff at school he couldn't get trough his throat. When he arrived at school he already missed first period, a good start of the year.

Alester was now sitting on the bench at the side of the football practice fields, where the try-outs would be held. He hadn't been paying attention in the first place, but now there seemed to have been some drama going on. Alester looked up from his phone and scanned the situation. Some weird babyface-ish guy was saying he was the best in Football, and thus trying out the team captain Mason, wrong choice.

The redhead also noticed Drake, the younger brother of Mason, the guy had become quite good-looking during summer, which wasn't really surprising by looking at his brother. The guy had only to do something about his hair, but he was certainly cute.

James stood up and offered her a hand. "Well then shall we be on the way." He said. After she was up he lead her to his car and opened the door for her. After she was in he closed it and made his way to the driver side. He climbed in and made his way to the shelter. After a short drive. He arrived at the shelter. He led Angelina in and into the area where he would normally volunteer. There was a grooming station and a couple of other things in there. "Welcome to my favorite places to go. The dogs will be so happy to see someone else other then me!" He said.

Damn Ryan for dragging out the irritated stressed out part of Sawyer. Worry was not a good look on her, at all. It was the first day of school for gods sake they were just supposed to slog through the day and go to the shop after school to let out steam, but now she was planning to go on a wild goose chase after her best friend with people she'd only just met. When Ash mentioned she didn't have her car, Sawyer's smile grew even deeper and began chewing on the inside of her cheek. If Ash was carless at the moment too who was going to take the time to drive them most likely all over the town?

"Well, shit." She thought for a moment about what they could do and finally decided they might just have to walk to hers or Ash's house to get there car, or, god prevent it, call one of their parents. "I guess we'll just have to-" Grace, who hadn't seemed to be paying much attention to the conversation before hand, spoke up then. She offered her services and then promptly ended cheer tryouts right then and there. Sawyer's eyes widened as she looked at the girl and she swore she could've kissed her. But, instead of embarrassing herself irreparably, she settled for a smile.

"You didn't have to do that." Sawyer said, feeling kind of bad that Grace had just ended tryouts before they even started for her sake, "But, I....thanks." She nodded and smiled again, mood significantly lifting as she looked around at the people gathered around her, "Okay people, the second this is over we'll head out. Sound good?" Before any of them could answer, Coach Olsen called out across the gym at Sawyer.

"Andrews! Quit playing tiddlywinks and get over here! I need the starters to play against the potentials!" Sawyer shot a thumbs up to Coach Olsen and turned back to the the people in the bleachers as she started backing away.

"For now, watch and learn. Maybe cheer for me a little." She grinned and winked, more at Grace than anyone else and jogged off to start tryouts.

After about forty minutes of Sawyer a d her teammates beating the living hell out of the hopefuls, she'll be honest she was having way too much fun showing off, Coach Olsen concluded tryouts with a assurance that results would be out by tomorrow morning. After they breaking practice out with an unnecessarily loud "Lady Wolves!" a sweaty and breath lacking Sawyer jogged back over to the stands.

"Alright, ladies and...gentleman." She cleared her throat, "I'm gonna go change real quick and we can head out." Sawyer turned on her heel and started walking off toward the locker room.

Ash was grinning widely at Grace when she accepted both Bjorn and Melody in. After Sawyer headed back to tryouts, she turned to Grace. "You will not regret letting them in. I was working with them earlier. Melody has a ton of skill, she'll be great. And Bjorn..." She hesitated, looking at the German proudly in his skirt, "well, he has a lot of spirit." Ash said. He would need some serious work, especially on his flexibility, but Ash would make sure he'd work on that. She decided he would be her personal project and by the end of the year, Bjorn would be the most fabulous cheerleader out there. She knew it.

She waited impatiently for Sawyer to finish up her tryouts, her foot bouncing nervously on the ground. Ash pulled out her phone, quickly checking her Twitter. Of course Abby would post something about why she wasn't here, and Ash couldn't help but reply, and then she continued down the feed, reading what the others had said... until Sawyer's voice distracted her and caused her to look up again. She smiled, glad that they would finally be heading out to get Ryan.

Then she could apologize, and cross that off her to-do list.

"Awesome." Ash stood up from the bleachers, suddenly aware of the fact that she was still in, well, her cheerleading uniform with a too-short skirt and the tank top like top. Well, she wasn't about to go change. It would take too long... and Ash was too lazy to go back in there. So she picked up her phone, smiling at Grace and Sawyer. "I'm ready whenever you two are."

"Thank you. Such a gentleman" She cooed softly as James opened the car door for her. During the drive, Angelina text both Samantha and Nicole. She told them both the same thing; In James' car and off to the animal shelter.

Angelina kept looking around as James lead her inside the shelter. She hasn't seen much of any animal shelter, so much of the equipment and stations were new to her. She'd know how to use them, though.
"I can hear them, but where are the dogs"? Angelina had a hunch that the dogs were at the back of the building. "And are we washing them first"?

James nodded. "Yeah there out back. There are people playing with them right now, then they will bring them to us. We'll give them a bath, then someone will come and get them and take them back before giving them dinner for the day." He said as a man walked in with two dogs. One was a chocolate lab and the other was a corgi. James smiled and took the Lab. "This is Tyson. He's been here for a few months. He's a good boy." He brought him over to his station. He brought the corgi over to Angelina. "This is Margarete. She's been here for about six months." He said tying off the lead. "It's kind of like washing your hair. get them a little wet, then give them some shampoo, then rinse and dry them off." He said showing her how to wash the dogs.

Grace

Grace looked up, when Sawyer thanked her. She looked up and smiled at her, “Oh. It’s fine, really, don’t worry about it.” She returned to her note book to feel someone’s eyes on her. Ash was just staring at her, with a grin set on her face, saying how Grace wouldn’t regret letting the two on the team. “I believe you, I’m sure they’ll be great.” Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked around the gym. No sign of Abigail, odd. She pulled up her phone to message her, to at least check if she was alright.

The coach yelled, indicating to continue practice. To which Sawyer spoke, watch and learn, and to cheer a little. It wasn’t the words that made Grace blush. It was the wink that came soon after, she cleared her throat, and tried to focus on the rather boring notebook in front of her. Ignoring looking any of her new, and old teammates in the eye. Hoping they didn’t catch it. She attempted to busy herself by keeping her eyes on the book in-front of her. Which didn’t particularly help, her eyes kept drifting to Sawyer practice. She was good at what she did, and she didn’t exactly look bad doing it.

The rest of the 40 minutes that went by she watched Sawyer play for the most part, sketching her as she watched. Though looking away when anyone tried to talk to Grace or looked her way. Sawyer came back up to them, all..sweaty. Saying that she had to change, Grace couldn’t form actual words at the moment so she just nodded. And looked down at her own clothes, was there even a sense to change out of the uniform? She was going to go home after this..It’ll be fine.

Sawyer came back, changed in new clothes. Grace closed her book and stuffed it in her bag, while Ash said she was ready to go. Grace stood up, throwing the bag over her shoulder, and nodded.

“Yeah, let’s just hope when we find him i won’t run over him.” It was..mostly a joke. Leaving the gym, and heading towards the parking lot to her car.
