Raven
tumblr_plutffsnEj1qgbcj3o1_250.gif

The question she was asking herself kind of got really blurry, and it didn't help Raven as she was extremely aware of Carter's hands on her waist. And it only got worse when she decided to whisper in her ear, Raven wasn't exactly on her game right now and that killed her the most. But she was still hesitant towards Carter, giving her the smallest grin and watched as she walked away. She rubbed the back of her neck still deep in thought and most of her thoughts weren't on Carter and more about her family. She sighed and decide to make her way to the stage instead to get ready before Grace had decided to yell at her. Or well... nicely ask? Whatever.

Her thoughts were immediately filled with Alaska and she felt guilty for the whole exchange. And it was like the universe decided to fuck her over for the fifteenth thousand time. And make Alaska appear only to make her feel worse. She didn't get very far because she stopped in her tracks and stared at her. Did she see that whole... thing between her and Carter? She hoped not. That'd make that date tomorrow really awkward. "Alaska..." She didn't know what else to say, Raven didn't like Carter the way... she sighed audibly, hoping that she wouldn't be upset.

"Look. It..." It wasn't what it looks like? It looked like they were both flirting heavily. "Okay, it's not like..." She tried to make her y'know, not run away from her. Taking a few steps towards her and she couldn't even find any words to not mess this up. Raven always messed everything up. It was always her fault.

Maisie quickly looked away from him when he decided to call her out on her own problems, that wasn't fair. She was only trying to be supportive, when he continued it only got worse. When he started cursing and raising his voice she immediately got uncomfortable. She didn't tell him because she... she couldn't talk about it. It bothered her too much to even think about it, so when people got in her personal space just made her feel like it was happening all over again, something that happened way too many times to even forget. Foster homes aren't the greatest. Not for her, or for anyone she'd ever gotten close to. At least... in the other places she'd stood at. Lewis wasn't a bad guy, but she was still waiting on the other ball to drop.

No one fucking likes you when you're fucked up. Maybe that's why Drake hated her already. She wanted to help Drake, she did, but she just... she couldn't right now. Sighing almost in relief when Drake made his rather dramatic exit with only who she could guess his brother behind, This was stupid. Why did she even agree to help? To what? Possibly have friends? No, she never did. No-one ever liked Maisie so why would they like her now? Her eyes filled with tears and she opened her mouth to say something to Aaron about leaving, but a only a stutter came out, and she decided to just walk away. They could sell their 'special' brownies or whatever without her. She was done with disappointment.

Or people that just always winded up hurting her in the process. Just... what was the point anymore? She walked towards the doors of the auditorium, ready to leave but she decided to just stay in the hallway of it. It was dark enough and there wasn't anyone there at the moment. Leaning against the wall and taking a few deep breaths to keep her from breaking down. Maybe she should honestly try those anxiety pills, become more of a weirdo like everyone thought she was.

Juliette

Juliette furrowed her brows in thought, Sawyer's comment made her antsy, why would she want to find her later? JJ wasn't into girls... uh, no. Besides, girls made everything more confusing just look at her relationship with Ava. A literal disaster. So take that for an example. Before she could get too deep in trying to figure out her personal problems and relationships. Zach came up and she greeted him with a smile, friendly JJ? Juliette wasn't exactly opposed to being nice to Zach.

He helped her earlier... and it actually felt like someone cared. She shrugged and held up a leather jacket. "It's going..." She moved around him and opened the jacket like she'd done for Sawyer earlier to see how'd it look on him. Once he slipped into it she stepped back and gave an approved nod. "Not too bad Levine." She raised an eyebrow teasingly, and nudged him with her elbow. She was genuinely curious about his conversation with the blonde who seemed... a little off. "What was uh... that thing with Ash about?"

Rae
tumblr_inline_om5i7mACuV1s1fojl_250.gif

Rae rolled her eyes, her brother was soo lame, and then all of a sudden she was the third wheel of the group.. Oh what fun, I mean they were here to see her boyfriend perform so she shouldn't complains. They were cute, they seemed to naturally fit together, Rae was happy Madison had found someone, ever since Karleen had cheated on him he hadn't been the same. She knew he hadn't had any plans to jump into anything so soon when they moved to Westbrook, but Scar was unexpected and new like him.

Rae thought about it when Scar had asked about how they were liking Westbrook. Rae honestly missed home, but she hadn't thought about it as much as she had expected to. "It's not as bad as I expected, but I miss home, mostly my horse..." She attempted to laugh, but it still hurt, Aurora had been her rock when they lost their mom.

Her low mood didn't last long as Chase came up and greeted them, Rae jumped to her feet more ecstatically than she had planned, but Chase was the little bit of light that Rae had found in Westbrook. Slowly she wrapped her arms around his middle giving him a tight hug. "Hi" She said quietly releasing her grip on his middle and stepping back. "Good luck tonight!!" She smiled sweetly.

Madison
tumblr_mvtxr3zr9h1smmprvo4_250.gif

Madison smiled watching Scar play with his fingers, they had both kinda meshed together as they were both thrown into the drama of Westbrook as new kids within a week of each other. They both laughed together about his favorite song in Grease and he watched Rae roll her eyes, he figured it was at the couplely stuff as the third wheel in the group. But Rae was likely used to it at this point he figured, as she didn't really ever date seriously. Usually she had to hang around him and Karleen back in North Carolina, at least Scar was a better person. There's no way that anyone would ever perfer Karleen over Scarlet.

As Scarlet playfully jabbed his side, he played it up a bit acting like it knocked the breath out of him. "I hope you won't, and if you do I'll make sure to remind you." He smiled leaning in and giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Westbrook is way better than home, just because I met you." He looked up to see Chase walk up to all of them, well really only Rae, but at least he had given them a wave. Mads nodded towards him, realistically though Chase likely missed it as he was already looking back at Rae.

Madison looked back at Scar giving her a wide grin, "It's like we aren't even here." He joked, biting his lower lip "So how are you liking Westbrook? You don't have to say me." Raising his eyebrows.

Or at least to Jesse in his mentally addled state, that's how it seemed. The logical side of him knew that he was simply being overdramatic. But let's be honest, he'd tried to comfort some girl who'd had a horrible experience with a drug she obviously hadn't wanted and that backfired. Then in the same instance he'd kissed some kid that he'd just met. And sure he'd been cute, but christ what was he thinking? Jesse felt like shit, but he brushed those feelings away as he rushed after the two teens. As he strode through the aisles, the young Ravencroft boy pulled anxiously on the dangling strands of his beanie. There were two on either side of his head, and they provided him with a simple comfort that only his hat could provide. It was silly really, but it stemmed from the faith of his family. A faith he'd pulled so far from recently, but the comfort of something on his head for some reason had always persisted through his life. It reminded him of such simpler times.
"Fuck." Jesse muttered under his breath as he strode out of the Auditorium and out into the space that came before the Theatre's entrance. As soon as he'd stepped out from the whimsical atmosphere of the musical, he knew something had gone horribly wrong. He heard commotion outside, and instinctively turned towards Maisie and raised his eyebrows at her. He didn't know the right question to ask, but everything just felt wrong. So instead of attempting at the words that he for once felt himself at a loss for, Jesse simply gestured towards the the door and left his expression at one of confusion. Hopefully she'd get the message as he stood there in bewilderment.

Drake (And Mason)
Something Is Wrong With Me.gif

A small book to the back of the head did little to slow down Mason as he slipped out of the school, still running after his little brother. The cool night air felt nice, almost like a relief after being in the stuffy theater. And then they were in the grass, and Mason finally caught up enough to tackle Drake to the ground. A few flailing limbs later, Mason had successfully rolled his much smaller brother onto his back and was now holding his arms down with his hands.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Mason shouted into Drake's face, the anger obvious in his voice as he glared down at his little brother, and Mason didn't know what to do. No matter what the hell he did for this kid, he always turned around and fucked something up. And tonight, well... tonight it was an entire auditorium of students, parents, families. An entire community had gone down because his brother was too fucked up to think through his decisions.

So yeah, Mason's fists started coming down on Drake's face. And they kept coming down, over and over again until his fists were bloody and Drake was yelling to stop, and trying to cover his face with his hands. And finally, the anger fell away from Mason, and he stopped seeing red, and his fists stopped coming down. He moved off of Drake and his little brother stumbled to his feet, blood dripping down his face, before he turned and took off running again.

For a moment, Mason sat in the grass, breathing heavily. His fists were probably bruised, he was still angry, and now there were two high kids yelling at him about murder or something. Just great. All of this was Drake's fault, Drake's mess, and here Mason was, having to clean it all up once again. Like he always did.

So Mason stood up, starting to walk back towards the two high kids. He bent over, scooping up the girl's... pocket Bible? Rolling his eyes, Mason tossed it back at her. "Go inside and watch the play. The high will wear off eventually." He hesitated for a moment, stopping in front of the two kids. "And I can always help you get home, if you need."

At the sight of someone coming up to her she quickly wiped away any tears that might've fallen, and steadied her breathing, although it took her a little longer to, she handled it. It took her a moment to try and understand what Jesse meant. Was he talking about that whole thing that just... yes, of course, Maisie that's what he was talking about. She shrugged. "Drake, and... it was just a disaster." Her voice came out hoarse. She wasn't sure why she was so upset, it's just... Maisie was sensitive to most of these things, you can't blame her. She wished she was strong like Sara was, but. She wasn't Sara. Clearing her throat before saying anything else this time.

She was just the person who was protected by her, and yet, she till abandoned her. "It's... whatever. I'm sure it's fine." Couldn't be more of a lie, everything was totally not fine. With Drake, or like... her. Or this whole damn school apparently. She crossed her arms and stared at Jesse, not in a hostile way. It was just an empty stare, she didn't feel like explaining the whole story to Jesse, nor did he really have to. But Maisie just gave him the shortest run-down she could. "Drake didn't take his meds." It probably wasn't her place to even tell him, but everyone practically heard already, so what was the harm in it? It wasn't like it was going to change Drake's opinion of her or anyone else's. So..

Aaron Ollila

At first, Aaron was just happy to get a response out of Drake. He actually cursed, and Aaron considered that a win. Of course, then he had to go and make it personal. You could see the way Aaron shuttered off. Anything that might have been shining through Aaron’s face- a slight quirk of the lips, a shine in the eye- shut off. Blankness.

He really just said that.

Was that really what he thought of him.

Aaron’s hands balled into fists as he looked at Drake, considering. He shouldn’t, but he knew it would make him feel better. It always did, didn’t it?

Of course, then Mason appeared, and Drake vaulted over the table, running off.

Aaron took a deep breath. Whatever. He didn’t care. Drake didn’t matter. He had been stupid to think that they could be friends. He didn’t need friends, anyways. He’d been fine without them for years, hadn’t he? He could go back to just having people to drink and smoke weed with.

He ignored the way his heart seized up at the thought. God, he’d only known the guy a week. Get over it, right?

He turned to Maisie, about to say something, but… then she left.

Fine.

Whatever.

Who gave a fuck, right?

It wasn’t like he was only here for his friends. Were they even friends? Stupid. He looked down at the brownies. He wanted to cry, but he wouldn’t. He knew that even if he started sobbing, it wouldn’t mean shit. Whatever.

He might as well eat some of a brownie, considering he and Drake had fucked up that bad in the first place. They were all a waste anyways, right?

Some friends he had, abandoning him to go have shit fits. To say he was pretending.

Where was Casper when he’d actually be fucking useful?

He wanted to go home, or to flip something, or, mostly, to beat the shit out of someone. He didn’t really feel like being high, but he kind of felt like drinking. Then he’d care less, right?

Belle Taylor

Mood: Worried| Interacting with: Jae, Mason, Drake |Mentions: Kipsy Kipsy Winona Winona

"No time to explain" she yelled back to Jae, not stopping. Belle was slightly too far behind the boys to stop the stranger from tackling him to the ground. She watched in horror as his fist collided with Mason's face again and again until it was all red and bloody. She couldn't even yell at him to stop, her high brain not functioning properly. It wasn't until he finally climbed off that she found herself able to move again. God, she was so stupid! she should have stopped it, why couldn't she stop it. The horrible experience was enough to make her feel slightly sober. Sober enough that she knew how she was going to react when the stranger came up to her.

She caught the bible and stuffed it back in her bad. Go back inside? A ride home? how dare this stranger think that she wanted a ride home with a monster like him. After she had just witnessed him beat her new friend bloody. Speaking of which he had started running again so she needed to get what she wanted over and done with quickly. "Why the hell would I listen to you?" she hissed, stepping closer to him. Her hands formed into fists and before she could stop herself she had thrown a punch straight at his eye. She winced slightly as her fist connected with the hard bone around his eye socket. "Fuck you" she spat.

"I'm going after him, he's my friend. Head back inside, okay?" she said to Jae in a much sweeter tone than she had used for Mason then took off.

Belle was running once again. No, sprinting. Drake had gotten a headstart on her and she didn't have the fastest reflexes while high. She almost tripped over a few measly sticks that had been in her path. No, she couldn't just go around them it would slow her down. "Drake. Stop running" she yelled after the boy who she was slowly managing to catch up to. God, she was glad she wasn't wearing heels. When she finally managed to get close enough to him she grabbed his arm using all her strength to stop him from moving. "Please, If I have to run anymore I'm gonna puke," she said, clutching onto his arm for dear life. Her hand still really hurt from punching the other guy but she wasn't about to let him go.

Jae was shocked that the bible attack had done nothing to slow down its prey. The two guys continued to run until they stopped, rolling through the grass. He wasn’t able to see much, but he could tell things were getting bloody. By the time he made it to the scene, he was exhausted. He also swore he was about to throw up.

Bending over with his hands on his knees, Jae squeezed his eyes shut. In a way, he’d been running not only because of Belle, but of Jesse. He had no idea what he was supposed to do back there. To make matters worse, this high was giving him all the wrong ideas, things he couldn’t possibly work himself up enough to enact, especially not in public.

He straightened himself, proud for not having hurled, and took in the sights around him. Sure, the grass was looking weirder by the second, but there were things beyond that. The kid with bloody fists who was assuring them the effects of the weed would wear off. Belle who had just gotten her bible back. And the guy who was running off with a messed up face.

Jae was about to cry, as much as he hated to admit it. It came entirely out of the blue yet now his eyes were watering and he wasn’t sure why. He wanted to be back in the auditorium with Jesse again. It was too… cold out here. Still, he pulled himself together and rubbed the bridge of his nose. These people needed a rock.

“Okay. I’ll head back. But only once you’ve told me what happened back there.” He straightened himself and took in a deep breath. “There’s gotta be some way I can help—”

Belle was yelling now and Jae didn’t have the heart to tell her to stop. He felt too terrible already for that. What he didn’t expect, though, was for her to sock the guy in the eye. At her sudden tone, he nodded and watched her then run off after the other dude.

That left him with Mr. Bloody Fists. “Uhm,” he began, “I stand by what I said before. You can talk to me. I mean, yeah I guess I’m high, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna just leave you to mope.” Gesturing back towards the auditorium, he smiled solemnly. “Want to walk back together?” He could trust Belle with handling the loose ends.

Everything inside of him told him to dry her tears, but he stayed his hands and walked closer in her general direction. He hadn't come to close, as he still remembered her space oriented nature, but close enough so that even under hushed tones they both would've been able to hear each other. Still he didn't speak. Seeing her like that? So riddled with pain and anguish. The way she mentioned the boy from earlier, the one who'd passed him on to her as a customer... He'd been called Drake apparently. And now something about him not taking his meds? Jesse didn't understand, and he got the impression that in this situation he had no right to attempt at digging up information.
His throat felt like it had closed in on him as he parted his lips to speak, so he simply exhaled instead. That simple breath helped, and he realized he'd been holding it in since the moment he'd seen Maisie so distraught. He knew the drugs were kicking in now because all of his emotions are pooling together unnecessarily. This was a prime example as to why weed was supposed to enhance a party, not a shit show. It boosted whatever situation it was placed in, and sadness was no exception. For a moment, the Croft boy only stared at the dark skinned girl before him. His gaze held a million words that he simply couldn't say. His irises swirled with billions of thoughts that so badly wanted to force their way out of his mind, yet were trapped within. He said nothing, but instead took out his phone and began to rapidly text away at it's screen before he looked up at her with a small, attempt of a smile.
The message he sent her was brief, but in it he'd rambled more than he needed too. He recognized that after the fact, but everything just felt so odd now. Jesse felt as though he could feel the very tension that surrounded this tragedy weighing in the air. Everything just felt so damn heavy, but he'd do whatever he could to lighten her load in that moment. It didn't matter how much he knew her, or that they'd just met. What mattered is that he knew her name, and he saw how horrible she looked. How torn down she seemed. He couldn't have that. He wouldn't forgive himself if he left her in such a state and something happened. Not after what he'd been through with Justin. If he'd just payed more attention, or simply given his brother more time...

At first everything went as expected. Drake didn't respond to his greeting, which was kind of unfortunate, but the feminine looking guy made sure his purchase went off without a hitch. Not to mention the girl offered him a brief smile, always a good sign. At least it was usually a good sign. This time it was a false sign, however. All of a sudden Drake started going off on a rant, attacking both of the people with him before turning the tirade on himself. Bipolar? Clearly Jace had missed a memo or something. He hadn't spent that much time with the boy, being more of the type to flit from person to person, but what little interaction he had gotten painted Drake as overwhelming positive. Almost as much as Jace was, even, and perhaps more energetic. What he was seeing here was totally new to him.

It was fleeting too, as a very angry looking Mason entered from stage right-down-the-hall. With eyes wide with shock, Jace stepped to the side, giving Drake a little more landing room for his swift exit. What in the world had made the Rivera so pissed at his own brother? As if that wasn't enough shock and awe for thirty seconds, their exit somehow caught the tail end of something else, prompting two more unfamiliar faces to join in the pursuit. Probably more new kids. Finally the tall, semi-well dressed boy shook his head, turning to watch the girl take a much less dramatic leave. Her name was Maisie, apparently.

"I should start timing how long it takes for shit to hit the fan." Jace muttered, letting out some exasperated expression of amusement. "Bet I'd get a pretty interes-" With no one else to hear his words he started to turn to the last remaining brownie salesman, a small smile on his face. Once he saw the other person's expression, however, he decided maybe it was better to abandon that sentence. "...Hope your night gets better, Aaron." If there was anything good that came from Drake's outburst, it was that Jace now knew two more names. He raised the three brownies in his hand as if giving a small toast before quickly taking his leave. Best to just duck out of that situation before its only remaining member lost their temper.

It was a decent idea though. Timing how long it took for Westbrook to explode, that is. He might even be able to graph the results, get an average for the time in between major breakdowns and fights. Maybe he could even find a reliable trend. Sure, he wasn't a big fan of doing this sort of thing in math class, but those were problems he was assigned. They just weren't interesting enough. This idea was something he wanted to try though, at least for a little bit. Too distracted by his thoughts to think about where he sat, Jace just picked a seat at random, plopping down and getting himself situated. The moment he was comfortable he pulled his phone out, actually opening the timer app and starting its stopwatch feature. Who knew that would actually come in handy?

Now that his little experiment was set up, and since he was already on his phone, he figured he might as well take the time to scroll through Twitter. Why not? A little playful flirting, which totally didn't make him a little jealous, between Raven and a few names he wouldn't have expected to see. At least it looked like TheUsername00N might be in a better mood. Hopefully. Following that was a cute little exchange of the same actresses reassuring each other that the play would turn out fine. Jace almost took the opportunity to complement both Raven and Ash, but managed to resist the temptation when he caught a glimpse of some recommended follows Twitter was throwing at him. Westbrook students he wasn't following? Blasphemy. Jace swiftly fixed that before flicking back to his feed to see if there was anything he'd been missing out on. Just one post. Lucky him, it was something intriguing. With a raised eyebrow the boy's gloved thumbs flew across the screen, typing out a quick message before looking down to examine his brownies. What was wrong with them? Did it, he wondered, having something to do with the whole fiasco he'd witnessed just minutes ago?

Drake
Something Is Wrong With Me.gif

He hadn't expected someone to actually catch up, and he was still shaking when she did. Drake glanced at the girl, surprised to see that it was Belle that had actually come after him. Of course. Still shaking, he pulled his arm from her grasp, holding it close to his chest and once more rubbing his hand along the hoodie sleeve that fell over his arm. It was a comforting thing of some sort. One that reminded him of the scars underneath, that reminded him that he still had some control over his life, his fate, over something.

"W-why?" His voice was shaky, his words stuttering out as he tried to speak. Drake probably resembled a rabid animal at this point, ready to fight whatever tried to corner him. "I-I just... I need... I need to get away. M-Mason's right, h-he's always right." And to some extent, it was true. Not that the beating had been necessary, but Drake knew that Mason was right. He could've hurt so many kids, and for what? A few extra dollars? Trying to impress Aaron?

Aaron... Maisie... his heart ached for a moment before it was forgotten once more when he remembered what he'd said to them. God, Drake couldn't go back. He couldn't face them. He couldn't face any of this. "G-go back, Belle." He finally said, still trembling a bit as he spoke. "I... I'm not... I can't. You don't want to talk with me, I-I break things. R-ruin them." Oh goodness, wasn't that the sour, horrible truth. Drake ruined everything he touched.

Mason
Handsome.gif

That little Christian bitch sure could punch, and Mason was cursing to himself, a hand pressed over his now throbbing, very pain-filled eye as she chased after his wretched little brother. Fucking hell. Since when had they started teaching martial arts to little Bible thumpers in Sunday school? He was still cussing to himself when another dude came in, talking to him and asking some questions but overall, remaining pretty chill. That was a surprise, and then Mason realized it was probably because he was high off his rocker.

"Not really." He grumbled to the kid's question of if Mason wanted to walk back in with him. "But I gotta go be in the musical. I'm playing one of the stupid fucking T-birds or whatever the fuck they're called." Okay yeah, Mason knew exactly what they were called, but he was too angry and in pain to actually admit that.

Mason started walking back towards the school, knowing full well that he'd been cutting it short. The musical was set to start any minute, and he was outside, talking to some high kid, with bloody fists and a bruised eye. Yeah. What a way to start the musical. Grace was going to absolutely kill him for this, but it was worth it.

Mood: Confident | Interacting with: Mason| Mentions: Winona Winona

Pouting at Mason’s reluctance, Jae went ahead to grab his hand and tug him along. “Let’s get you back in time,” he said conversationally, loosening his grip as they went along. Jae wasn’t ever this bold, but he was stubborn. Leave it to the weed to enhance some of his least favorable characteristics.

Jae worriedly glanced back to Mason’s face. From watching the punch alone he could tell it probably hurt like hell. Would Mason even be able to perform with an injury like that? Maybe they could scrounge up some ice, but…

“Hey, I could totally take up your role for you if you need me to,” he offered with a salute. “Jaehwa Shin: Drama Club President. I got you covered my man.” A series of giggles left his lips. It was a big proposal, but he was confident. When he put his mind to it, he could memorize an entire script in a few hours. This would be easier because the time limit was shorter! Yes, yes. That’s how this worked.

He frowned. "Wait. Would I even be allowed to help? Isn't this..." Jae paused, stopping entirely because he needed to think. There had to be a way around that if it was the case. "Bah, there's makeup and the costume to consider. No one else would have to know."

Belle Taylor

Mood: Worried| Interacting with: Drake |Mentions: Winona Winona

"Nope. Not gonna happen, you're hurt" Belle said defiantly, crossing her arms. He looked so vulnerable if she left him alone he wasn't sure what he would do. If he did something to hurt himself... Oh, she wouldn't be able to bear it. She had bumped into him for a reason. It was gods will for her to help this poor hurt, very cute boy. The best way it seemed to approach the situation was to throw some logic at him. "Did you wake up this morning and think "oh boy I really want to give every single person in the auditorium a weed brownie so they get fucked up'" she asked, doing a slight imitation of his voice. "No, you didn't. Because it was an accident!" she carefully moved towards him, showing that she wasn't a threat.

"Accident's happen Drake. They don't make you a terrible person" she said softly, taking his hand in hers. "If I am broken then it is God's will. But I'm a pretty tough cookie so that's not gonna happen." Oooo she did really want a cookie right now. A cookie would be good. But hopefully adding a bit of a joke to the end would cheer him up slightly. "Besides, I just socked that dude in the face for you. There is no going back now we are friends" she told him stubbornly. Speaking of that punch god her hand hurt, did she break it? She took her hand back from his in order to examine it. It didn't look broken. "It really hurt my hand too. But I bet his face hurts more" she added, poking the slightly bruised looking bit.

"I am holding you to our date tomorrow there are no take backs" So what if he was a little messed up? So was she. Everyone had problems you just had to push through them. Not let anything stop you from living your life to the fullest. She smiled softly up at him. "At least let me clean up your face? I have some alcohol wipes and your face doesn't look very good. They taught us kinda basic first aid at bible camp." Bible camp.. Now that was one hell of a time. They had really good cookies. God where were all the cookies when she needed one. Wait she was meant to be helping Drake. Focus Belle. She rummaged through her bag until she produced a mini first aid kit. "I'm not giving up so you're gonna have to be the one that does." Was the world spinning? All the colours were kinda blurring together. Boy oh boy she didn't feel good.

Zach
tumblr_nclt0lUOSh1rz364co3_250.gif

Zach put the jacket on without resisting, did JJ think he was in the play? She was probably just in a routine of dressing everyone that came in. Zach popped the collar on the leather jacket, looking down at the sleeves. Stepping to the side to look at himself in the mirror. "Yea, I think leather looks good on me." He smiled. "Definitely brings out my badboy personality." Zach laughed lightly before turning back around to face JJ as she asked about Ash. "Seems like Ash had a bit too much to drink..."

He looked out into the hall at Ash and Ryder, jeez they were probably the most complicated couple in all of Westbrook. Even if Ash made Ryder less fighty, Zach didn't trust Ryder to not go back to his original way of solving problems. Yeeting people, but hopefully Ryder would realize Ash was a bit intoxicated and Zach was only trying to help. "I just was trying to get her to eat, and ended up offending her in the same sentence."

He rolled his eyes a bit, looking back at the mirror at the back of the T-Birds jacket, a sly smirk crept across his face. "You know I'm not in the play right?" He let out a little chuckle looking back at JJ. He let his eyes trail down her for a second, before meeting her gaze once again. Zach was quickly brought back to reality when the lights backstage started to dim. "Ahh" He smiled, still not sure how he got dragged into helping out in the play, he heard Grace yell about the curtain call.

"I guess that's my cue.." He jabbed his thumb over his shoulder "These curtains won't open themselves." He smirked taking a few backwards steps away from JJ. "I'll see you around J, maybe we'll cross paths this weekend." Zach had heard words of some parties that might happen after the play, not that he was much of a partier during sports season, but he wasn't allowed to play again quite yet, so would one late night with a few beers really hurt?

Zach made his way over to the curtains, placing both hands on the ropes and waiting for Grace's cue, he knew if he got this wrong he would likely be murdered by Grace. If there was anyone he feared more than Ryder, it was absolutely an angry Grace it's always the quite ones that have the most rage.

Sawyer

Kate got on Sawyer's last nerve. To say she hated the woman would be harsh but she was slowly but surely getting there. Sawyer didn't have the time to deal with this shit at the moment so when Kate asked her if Grace had been with her the night of the college trip Sawyer let her anger take over once again. Words came spilling put of her mouth and she didn't have the energy to try and stop them what so ever.

"You know what, Mrs. Jackson?" A sickeningly sweet smile spread across Sawyer's face, "As a matter of fact she was with me. We made...well attempted to make cookies and she stayed the night." Sawyer chuckled a little, the smile on her face turning genuine, "And I loved every goddamn second of it because I love her. I'd like to think you know what being in love with someone feels like, ma'am, but I don't think you do or you wouldn't be such a raging bitch about this." She cleared her throat and straightened up her posture, "Now, if you'll excuse me we have a play to perform and parents aren't allowed backstage."

With that, Sawyer pushed past Kate and started walking over to where she'd Grace. That was probably the worst decision she could've made in that moment but Sawyer was happy to have told Kate how she really felt. She just hoped it wouldn't come back to bite Grace, which there was a very slim chance it wouldn't. But the only thing she was worried about right now was how terrible this play was about to be because fucking weed in brownies.

Ash was drunk? He'd known she'd had a shitty week because of....well because of him, but he didn't realize it had been that bad of a week. Ash wasn't really one to drink outside of parties, he was quite honestly shocked that she had felt the need to drink before something as big as the school play. The whole school was here watching, her parents included. He wondered if her evil bitch of a mother was the reason she was so stressed out.

It was even more surprising to hear Ash say that Zach thought she was too friendly with Bryan. Didn't he have a girlfriend? Not like that would stop him, Bryan didn't seem like the loyal type, but he really didn't think asking Ash about it right now was a good diea. He didn't exactly like Zach hanging around his newly single and apparently intoxicated ex-girlfriend, but he could appreciate him trying to sober her up with food, even if Ash was refusing. Luckily Zach was smart enough to leave the two of them alone, and he could focus on the real reason he was here.

"I..um..I brought this for you, and I just wanted to wish you luck." He explained, extending his hand with the rose in it to give to her, watching her face carefully to see her reaction. He hoped he wasn't overstepping his boundaries, even if they weren't dating they were still friends and he was always going to support her. "Ash...are you sure you're okay?" Clearly, she wasn't, but he couldn't force her to tell him what was going on.

He wrapped his arms around Rae as soon as she started to embrace him, it was natural the way they fell together. Senior year was more hectic than ever, and before he'd met Rae he couldn't wait to leave, but now that they were together he wasn't sure he wanted to leave Westbrook. It would be hard to be so far away from her, but he really cared about their relationship and he would make sure to make the most of their time together before he left for college.

"Thanks, I'll need it." He joked, giving her a quick peck on the cheek before looking at his watch. It was already almost time to start, he'd better hurry back stage to get ready before Grace freaked out even more. "I'll see you guys after!" He spoke, turning to make his way back stage. Though he had played sports in front of the whole school, he was nervous to act in front of so many people for the first time. Hockey was natural to him, plus he could hide behind a helmet if he messed up.

Alaska

tumblr_mwep9isvvL1rjp14xo1_500.gif

Alaska wasn't entirely sure what she was feeling, but it wasn't good. Of course she had no reason to be upset, she and Raven hadn't even gone on their date yet, and who knew if Raven even really meant it as a date. She'd been stupid to assume the brunette was actually interested in her like that, she knew they were both more used to hookups than actual relationships. Anything close to a relationship that she'd had in the past had gone horribly wrong, maybe it was smart of Raven to not commit herself to a human disaster like her. Carter was hot, she couldn't blame her for being tempted, only a week ago it'd been her kissing the red-head.

Maybe she was being a hypocrite, but she was still upset. Between Kanen and then the Mason incident, maybe she should stay from any kind of relationship for now. There was too much going on with her, she clearly couldn't hold down a steady relationship, or even have a one-night stand without ruining everything. She barely even listened to Raven's excuse, it wasn't like it would make a difference either way. Wordlessly she turned to walk away, needing to clear her head and decide if messing around with Raven was really a good idea in her current state of mind. She knew one of them would end up hurt in the end, so was there even a point in trying?

Viola wasn't exactly sad to see Kate go, but it did mean it left her alone with Elise. Luckily, the red-haired demon seemed to have exhausted herself of insults and left her to talk with the handsome Oliver. It was strange she'd never noticed him at games before, but truly she was much to focused on her kids to notice other parents she didn't care about.

"Yes, Alaska's my only girl." She smiled, making a mental note to remember the name Sawyer in case Alaska mentioned her later. The name sounded familiar, but Alaska wasn't the typical girl to have sleepovers and gush to her mother about all her friend drama. Her kids tried to keep their drama to themselves at least, though it was hard not to know about it when it usually ended them up in the principal's office.

"Trust me, I can barely keep up with the drama between the three of them." Viola rolled her eyes, not only did she have three teenagers, but she had three angry teens. Chase at least was more well-behaved, while the twins were in the principal's office every week it seemed. At least they kept their grades up, hopefully their outstanding resume's made up for the constant fighting when they applied to college.

"Well, maybe next time we can sit together and cheer on our girls." She offered, her smile genuine instead of the plastered on fake one she used with most other parents. Oliver seemed like a good guy with a good head on his shoulders, not stuck-up like most people in Westbrook. "Is Sawyer in the play then?" Surely Oliver was here to watch someone, unless he had other kids or perhaps worked at the school.

Everything just felt wrong, and it was stupid because the fight didn't even have anything really to do with her in the first place, it was just being reminded of what was wrong with her. She knew that. Drake didn't have to point anything out. She was confused at Jesse when he was quiet. But she didn't pay no mind to him, and the silence between them only made her feel worse for some reason, that silence was cut short by her phone beeping. Raising it to expect a text from Lewis, or well, nope. That's it. No one truly cared about Maisie, she wasn't surprised. That's just the way it's always been. What she was surprised about was the message, it wasn't from Lewis. It was from the boy in-front of her.
From:Hoodie 'You wanna just go? For a second I mean? We could go walk, or hell my cars outside. This is just... God are you okay? I hope the Drake guy's okay. You're really pretty, and I hate seeing you cry. Fuck, being high is shit.'
She hopes the Drake guy is okay too. Despite feeling terrible, the compliment had brought the most smallest smile to her face. So maybe someone cared. At least... for now anyway. She wasn't sure what to do. Taking a deep but shaky breath, she nodded and tilted her head towards the door. "I-I don't think a walk would hurt anyone." She shrugged, and opened the door for them to go outside, maybe some air would do her good. Away from... everyone, yeah. That should help. Within a few minutes they were outside of the school, she led them to the football field.

She walked slowly with him beside her. Instead of sticking with the silence, Maisie looked over at him. "You didn't have to come with me, y'know..." It was her way of saying he didn't have to help. But more importantly, it was a thank you.

Raven
tumblr_pnbqhxtIeg1tad9smo5_540.gif

Raven watched her turn around, and get a few steps away from her, she looked down at the floor while arguing with herself internally. She was so fucking stupid. She didn't like Carter. She just didn't... feel anything for her. Maybe that's why she didn't want to kiss her? Since when did Raven even care about feelings? If she was being brutally honest with herself. She always did. She was just... scared. Raven found herself walking towards Alaska to catch up with her. She gently reached out for her arm to turn her around, stopping in the middle of the stage. "You scare me." She sighed, glancing around, trying to figure out if she should continue. But she wasn't being the same Raven, she was too nervous with everything that was going on she didn't have a moment to consider thinking about it before she opened up. "I don't date. Or do relationships. For a reason."

She didn't want to be hurt. "Whenever I ever have a real chance with someone I ruin it before it becomes too real." She took a step closer to Alaska, scanning every-inch of her face for literally any sign that she wouldn't hate her. Maybe Raven wanted real. Even almost desperate for it. But she never allowed herself to get too close to anyone, it wasn't fair to Alaska that she asked her out on a date, flirted, just to lead her on? "You're real to me. You... feel real to me." But she didn't just want to lead her on. To make her feel like she didn't matter. Like everyone else did to her, Raven knew what it felt like first-hand. And it wasn't a good feeling. "And it scares me." No, Raven didn't do well with feelings, how to define them, what she even felt in the first place. But she knew she liked Alaska. "I don't want Carter." She didn't. Now that she was face-to-face with Alaska it was so clear Raven didn't understand why she didn't see it in the first place.

She took another step closer to her. Raven wasn't even sure what she was doing, she didn't let herself get close to anyone. But she didn't have any self-control right now. Without giving Alaska the opportunity for her to respond about the statement she'd made about Carter, she quickly leaned in forward and placed her lips against Alaska's in a desperate attempt to fix the wrongs she'd done. She channeled everything she could've into that one kiss, it was soft but passionate. She didn't even notice the voices in the background or obvious murmurs for some reason. A few moments into the kiss she didn't want to end. They had to breathe at some point. Pulling away breathlessly and looking into her light eyes.

"I want you."

It was only then she noticed the bright spotlight on them, turning for a second to see the whole audience before she realized they opened the curtains probably a little too early, looking back towards Alaska, awaiting her answer. Raven was afraid, yeah. But... she was willing to take the risk for her.

Kate
sigh.gif

Kate was stunned and didn't say anything as Sawyer pushed past her, once she was alone, Kate was outraged. This wasn't love, even in some way it could possibly be surely it was one-sided. Grace lied to her? She never lies to her. Period. Sawyer was brain washing her. How dare she even insult her like that? No respect for her elders, obviously Of course Kate knew what love was. She loved David, she did. She loved Steve. She loved Jonathan. Kate was just hoping that David wouldn't up and leave her like the others did. Her rage just faded into a simple sigh.

"Hey, you okay?" Obviously David didn't hear the whole conversation that was going on at the moment, and Kate just shrugged. In a way, Grace had got her sensitive side from Kate. It's just she was better at hiding it. Like mother like daughter, no? "I'm fine." She patted David on the shoulder, and he stared at her. He knew something was wrong but he wasn't sure what it was, and he knew little on how to fix it. "I love you, y'know." David leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. And Kate genuinely smiled at him, even if it was a weak one. He was probably the only good thing that wasn't in shambles at this point.

"We should get to our seats." David moved passed her and continued walking, and Kate's gaze landed on Grace across from her, who seemed very annoyed at some kid, who was laying on the floor. It doesn't feel okay when your child doesn't trust you enough to tell you the truth. It just hurts. A lot. Deciding to talk with her later and not bother her, she was occupied with this whole play, better off she'd not get distracted. Even if Kate desperately wanted answers the odds are she would not give her the time of day, or tell her the truth.

Walking her way over to their seats and sitting down with the rest of the parents. Wordlessly, not paying a mind to Oliver, Elise, or Viola. She just sat there waiting for the play to start. While waiting, the curtains suddenly opened and Kate's jaw dropped. Were homosexuals everywhere in WestBrook? "Uh... is that your daughter?" Kate asked Viola.

Being not a very touchy, feely person, Mason was not particularly pleased when the dude took his hand. His very bloody, slightly bruised hand, and then the kid was suggesting taking Mason's spot. "No offense, but you look too... goody for Kenickie." Mason explained, his eyes looking the dude up and down for a minute. Yeah, Raven would probably eat him alive on stage. Working with her was like dealing with a lion. Beautiful, but also fucking deadly as hell.

"Although, not sure how well I'll do in stage thanks to all this shit," he said, gesturing towards his face, and was glad when the kid moved to keeping his distance. Yes, said kid had introduced himself, but Mason had barely heard him. "You know what, come back stage with me. Let's see if we can get you in there."

And with that, Mason headed into the theater, trying to hurry his way past everyone as he started his way backstage. The lights were starting to dim or something, meaning that they were about to go on. Luckily, Mason was basically ready to go. Yes, he'd already changed into his costume, which now had some grass stains on the pants. His leather jacket was waiting for him here, and he picked it up, but didn't put it on quite yet. "Alright, Jae," he said. "Let's see if we can find Grace and do this."

Drake
Something Is Wrong With Me.gif

It took a moment for his clouded thoughts to piece everything together, and then Drake finally stopped walking around, shaking, and could actually look at Belle with a level expression. "Mason?" He asked. "You punched my brother?" Holy shoot, Mason was going to be pissed. Plus that meant the entire musical was a probably a disaster, and it all came back to Drake having been stupid enough to make the mistake of not organizing himself and Aaron well enough.

"It is my fault, though. God, of course it's my fault." Drake mumbled, shaking his head as he spoke, and then Belle was offering to clean up his face. Until now, Drake hadn't even really felt the pain in his face, but now that she mentioned it... yeah, he felt as if a train had come by and hit him full force in the face. He reached up, wiping gently at his face, and pulled his fingers away to see them coated in blood. Nice. But Drake had deserved it, right? That's what their mother used to say, when she would get into some drunken rage, and Drake would hide the bed, or the kitchen table, praying quietly that she wouldn't find him. She would beat them until they were bloody and bruised, and then an hour or so later, she would apologize as if that would make everything better. But her apologies were always loaded. "I'm sorry, but you deserved it." And then she would hug him, and Drake would hug her back, thinking everything would be different.

"I'm sorry, Belle. No. I can't... I... no, I am giving up. I fucking give up." But that wasn't anything new, was it? Drake had given up a long time ago, and this was nothing new. This was just him coming to terms with it. And Drake was shaking his head once more as he started to back away. The pill bottles in his pocket, god, how he wanted one right now. He still had a few leftover from when Mason had broken his leg, and then his others were stolen from Adriane's parents' medicine cabinet. It was nice, not having to pay or steal from people he didn't know anymore. It was so much easier to know where the pills were, and to just... steal and move on.

Ash
Upset.gif

She wanted to say yes, that she was alright, but that would've been a horrible lie. And for once today, the drinking had actually done something good, and Ash didn't feel like she could keep lying anymore. Either way, she gently took the rose from him, twirling it between her fingers. Damn it, why did he have to be so god damn confusing? And yes, she appreciated the flower, but at the same time, it just made her heart ache even more. Why did he think this would be a good idea?

"No," she said quietly, and then held the flower back out to him. Damn it, Ash wished once more that Carter hadn't stolen that bottle of alcohol -- anything would be better than standing right here before Ryder, about to go onto a stage where she had to co-star across from Bryan. Apparently, a guy that everyone thought she was "too friendly" with. "No, look, I'm not okay. Why the hell would I be okay right now?" Well, it was the truth, wasn't it?

"You can't just... just..." Ash was at a loss for words, flustered and annoyed beyond belief. "You can't just say you don't want a relationship, then say you love me, and then show up with a rose before the musical." She ran a hand through her hair, probably making it look crazy before the start of the musical, but Ash didn't care right now. "Look I appreciate it, I really do, but..." she hesitated, and then the lights started to dim. Perfect. "Ryder, I love you, too, but... I don't know what you want, and I can't just keep pretending that everything is okay and that we're back to normal or whatever. Because it's obviously not."

And then Ash pushed past Ryder, hesitating when she saw the brownie from Zach that she had previously put down. She thought for a moment, and then picked it up, taking a bite before setting it back down and hurrying over to where everyone else was gathering to start the musical. As much as she hadn't wanted to eat the brownie, well, she wanted to do a good job of this musical for Grace, and maybe it would help with the whole slightly buzzed thing.

June
June somehow avoided all the drama with what she found out were weed brownies. She was so glad she didn’t eat because of her nerves. Perhaps being nervous about things weren’t all that bad. She watched as Drake and Mason left along with others. She downcasted her eyes as she made her way backstage. That couldn’t be her problem, as much as she wanted to help, she knew she could only make things worse. Just focus on the play. She told herself.

She quietly rehearsed her lines and sang the tunes behind stage until she heard something. She was deep inside that, the shadows kept her hidden as she looked on. Then saw Raven and Alaska kiss. She bit her lip and turned away quickly. Why am I hurt by this? Raven can do whatever she wants now. With whoever she wants now. Still, that didn’t make her feel better. It just made her feel lonely. Maybe Alaska wasn’t trying to be her friend and Raven wanted nothing to do with her as much as June did before. It just felt lonely watching it happen while she was stuck here. Stuck in these shadows.

As soon as the curtain opened, June stiffened and found herself moving away. God why is it so easy to feel sad? She thought as she willed herself to not cry. Frenchy. She needed to be Frenchy now.

Scarlet
scarlaugheat.gif

Mads' reaction made her laugh. Jeez, how was he so sweet? She blamed her natural attraction to sweet stuff, and figured humans could fall under that characterization, too. His answer had made her face feel hot, and she swore that her cheeks were going to break or something from how hard she was smiling. Hands down, Madison made her smile more than anyone she had met in her life. "I'm happy to help with the experience." Giving his index finger a small tug, she took the arm that had been wrapped around her shoulders and pressed her lips to the back of his hand with hazel eyes gleaming.

Her gaze shifted to Rae at Mads' comment, and she gave an amused 'hm'. Scarlet made a note in the back of her mind to ask her more about her horse she had mentioned. Wild bands of horses would pass through the narrow valley that her grandmother's farm was tucked into every so often to drink by the river, and those had always been some of her favorite experiences. Maybe the pretty girl caught up in the arms of the eldest Vaughn sibling would tell her more about the animals.

Scarlet looked back to the blonde boy and wrinkled her nose at him, smiling. "You definitely make it a lot less scary, that's for sure," She told him before giving a slight shrug. "Chicago had been a mess, so definitely better than that. As for my grandmother's, I miss some things. But, here, I get to meet people like you and your sister and Alaska." And she got to meet a new step-dad and step-brother, but those weren't necessarily good things. At least, not yet. She decided to continue so she could stop thinking about it. "You'd be surprised, she isn't punchy when you aren't mean."

Just then, the curtains opened to reveal two girls, locked in a kiss. She blinked a few times before realizing one was actually her friend she had just been talking about. "Speak of the devil," She breathed. Scarlet had a feeling that this was not supposed to be in the play. The other girl, she didn't recognize, but made a note to ask Alaska more about her love life when they saw each other again. Granted, if the subject was too personal or too touchy, the hazel-eyed girl wouldn't press. Maybe she would buy ice cream for both of them in case it went sour. "Whoop, there it is~," she murmured when the unfamiliar girl looked out to the audience. From the look on her face, this was definitely not in the play.

Mood: Excited | Interacting with: Mason & Jesse | Mentions: Winona Winona Dethrix Dethrix

Jae’s mind wasn’t working properly. He had couldn’t figure out what Mason meant by ‘goody’. In fact, he heard it as gooey. Still, he frowned, as the context it was in made it sound like a problem. “I assure you I am just the right amount of gooey to pull this off.”

His face lit up when Mason said they could give it a shot. Having been stuck with a fractured leg for a while, he hadn’t been able to actually perform. He had read lines off of scripts, sure, but that wasn’t the only thing to acting. He was eager to give it a go again.

Following Mason, Jae headed back into the auditorium. As they walked, he passed by Jesse outside, who he gave a cheesy smile and wave. “I’m going on stage~,” he gushed. “You gotta watch me, Jesse! I'm so cool when I perform.”

At this point, it was more like Mason was the one pulling Jae along. Eventually he got back on track, trailing behind Mason like an obedient little duckling. It wasn't much longer before they were backstage. “Who’s Grace?” he asked, trying to look around and see who was here.

The strong scent of stage makeup and hairspray made him woozy. Well, woozier than he already was. He’d missed that smell, as odd as it may sound. It was all too familiar. So was the atmosphere, the excited but nervous feeling seeping into him. Adrenaline soon followed, making him much more alert than he had been. Maybe he could actually pull this off without dying.

Jamie
jamieayayay.gif

Just like usual, Jamie was doing something he definitely hadn't planned on; Chase was in the play, and Jam had originally said he couldn't make it, figuring his former teammate was simply full of crap. The oldest Vaughn boy ended up sending him a picture of the playbill, proving that he was definitely in the play. As his stormy gray eyes had scanned the list of sort of familiar names, he had noticed Alaska on there, too. He hadn't pinned her for the theater type. After helping get Ryder to the doctor and then having to leave immediately after to go back to work, the young man didn't have any other chances to speak to the girl. He had checked in with Chase, clearly, and got an update from the doctor since it was necessary for the hockey team to be update on any possible player injuries. He was trying to figure out if he needed to put him on IR for part of the season while on his way to the auditorium.

He wondered if Ryder was sitting anywhere, but he was already almost late and the lights had been dimmed far too much to be able to spot the kid. Instead, he decided to take a lone seat along one of the aisles and pushed his hair back as he waited for the show to being. And the show definitely did.

Tilting his head to the side slightly, his eyes narrowed in an attempt to see what exactly was going on. The spotlight lit up the couple and his eyebrows rose in a surprise. That was definitely Alaska in a kiss with another girl. Maybe this was a remake of Grease with two female leads? That would be strangely progressive for Westbrook, he thought. The two separated, and the look on their faces definitely cemented his doubts; this was not a Grease remix, whatsoever. He heard whispers around him, a mixture of reactions; some of disgust from the parents, gossip from students, etcetera. He didn't like the negativity and sighed, looking to the man in the seat in front of him him who was grumbling something about 'gay this' and 'homo that' to his wife. He gripped the man's shoulder a bit too firmly for a stranger and made a smoking motion with his hand. "Sounds like you just need a smoke, bud. Welcome to the generation of open minds. I understand yours was one of ignorant, racist homophobes, but maybe you should take a step outside."

The man looked at him with narrowed eyes before scoffing and standing from his seat abruptly. Jamie rose with him, towering over him while his wife held onto her husband's arm and pulling him into the aisle. They left without causing any more of a scene and the young man promptly sat back down with an apologetic nod to the woman next to him. She simply gave him a few quiet claps and thumbs up before turning back to see what exactly was going on, on stage; Jamie did the same.

Carter
tumblr_inline_nxx3zmG7Wx1rifr4k_500.gif

Carter was slumped down in one of the first rows in the auditorium seats, scrolling through twitter when she realized why she had felt like she was on a cloud. They hadn't been just regular old brownies, they were edibles, and Carter was now extremely glad the brownie she had bought for Ash never made it to her. Also being happy she hadn't finished her own when Raven had asked for help with her makeup. All of a sudden she heard Mason's voice going by her with some boy she didn't recognize in tow.

"Wait for me!" Carter attempted to run after the two but felt a bit woozy trying to follow quickly, she slowed her pace to a fast walk but with her long legs it didn't take much for her to catch up. "Mason." Carter breathed reaching out to touch his shoulder, but before she could he turned around. "Holy shit what happened to you." Mason had a bruised eye, and his hands were all teared up.

Carter looked to the boy beside them. "Did you beat up a new kid again?!" She shrieked, but then looked over the boy beside her, he looked unscathed. "What the hell did you do?" She reached out picking grass out of Mason's hair, she took a step closer to get a better look at his bruised eye. "You need to put ice on that." She may have been stating the obvious but she was a bit high and not really thinking completely straight.

"Grace is going to kill you." She started to look around, she grabbed his wrist about to drag him across backstage when the curtains opened, she looked over and saw Raven and Alaska on stage, 'had the play already started?' When Raven kissed Alaska, Carter was almost positive that wasn't part of the play. "Well damn"

---------
Zach quickly closed the curtains, the only thing he had to do and he had messed it up
----------

Carter looked to the other boy "Did you see what happened" Carter hadn't really given Mason to answer she just kept rambling. "Mason what happened."She asked again actually taking a moment to breathe. "Who'd you get into a fight with?" She started to relax acting more like herself. "Who'd you punch Mason." She said more sternly, her eyes were wide with a bit of angry, and a bit of fear.

Ryder

For once, Ash didn't bottle up her feelings and lie about being fine, and he couldn't tell which felt worse. It hurt to hear how much he was hurting her, it seemed that by ending their relationship to save their feelings he'd instead made it hurt worse. No matter what he did he couldn't stop hurting her when all he wanted to do was make her happy.

He was even more crushed when she forced him to take the flower back. Ash was entirely right that he was being confusing, he was confused himself and he had no idea what he was doing, bringing her a present had been a bad idea. Everything had been a bad idea, but Ryder had never loved anyone before, it was hard and entirely impossible.

"I'm sorry. This is exactly what I didn't want." He sighed, but she was already walking away and he angrily threw the rose into the nearest trash can. It hurt to hear those three words, though they were much too late. Why hadn't he said them before? How could he be this stupid? He punched the nearest wall, unflinching as it scraped his knuckles, turning and storming out towards the auditorium to find his seat. He plastered a smile on his face as he approached his father, he hadn't seen him in months and he was truly happy to see him, but everything sucked so much he didn't feel excited.

To make matters worse, the curtains suddenly opened to show his sister kissing Raven. It wasn't a shock that Alaska liked girls, it was just a little jarring that it was happening in front of a hundred people. His father looked shocked, and Ryder knew that somewhere their mother was having a stroke. He really, really did not want to deal with this right now.

Alaska

tumblr_nch4l989v41t5oim1o4_250.gif

Alaska was halfway across the stage when she felt Raven's hand on her arm, stopping dead in her tracks and slowly turning around to face the brunette. She was surprised by the words coming out of Raven's mouth, no one had ever said anything like that to her before. Well, okay several people had told her she was scary, but not in the way that Raven meant. She completely understood where she was coming from, it was frightening to open your heart up to someone knowing it could be broken. That's why she didn't really date, she didn't trust anyone enough to let them in.

Her heart was beating so fast she thought she might die, no one had ever made her feel this way. The only time Alaska had ever felt wanted was out of lust, never any real emotion. Plenty of people had gotten her heart rate going, but never this way. No one had ever genuinely cared about Alaska or wanted more than her body. It didn't matter that maybe Raven had just been flirting with Carter, she wanted her and there was nothing else to consider.

Before she could reply and tell Raven how she felt, her lips were crashing against hers. Without hesitation she leaned into the kiss, happy to find that the brunette's lips tasted just as sweet as she'd imagined they would be. Their kiss ended much too quickly for her liking, and she was so dizzy she almost missed the stares of everyone in Westbrook on them. Almost.

She panicked, this was definitely not how she wanted to come out to her family, but nothing ever went according to plan for her. Quickly, she grabbed Raven's hand and pulled her off stage and tried to calm herself down from her mini panic attack. Her mother was going to keel over and die, but that was something she would handle later.

"I...I'm scared too. But I want you." She admitted, hesitantly looking back up at Raven and trying to manage a weak smile. This was either going to be the best or the worst decision she'd ever made.

Viola

To say that Viola was shocked would be an understatement. She'd known of plenty of guys her daughter had dated, even if it had only lasted a week. What did this mean? Was Alaska gay? Maybe that Andrews girl had converted her. Maybe she and Sawyer weren't just friends?

"Well, looks like we've both got gay daughters." She joked, unsure of how to recover from this. Alaska was going to get an ear full later. It was entirely inappropriate to be making out with anyone in front of all of Westbrook, let alone a girl.

Although a great majority of his youth he'd elected to stay cooped up in his room playing various video games, age had taught the teen Croft to enjoy the simplicities of nature. The cool fall breeze soothed his nerves, and the small smile she'd given him earlier had done wonders to lessen the tension he felt in his throat. It had been an issue for longer than Jesse would've cared to admit, but he literally got choked up when situations took a turn for the worst. A biological reaction to the intense pain that usually followed after an argument or shitty situation, often inflicted by his parents. As she spoke, his rich brown eyes followed her lips with every word that they formed. His high made it hard to focus, which made him concentrate harder on the things that typically required so little effort. Right now all he wanted to do was cuddle, but he'd settle for her strange variation of gratitude.
"I know I didn't... But I also didn't want you to be alone like that." He offered with a small smirk, which seemed far more along the lines of how he typically appeared. Sad and mopey did not fit Jesse in the slightest, the emotion itself seemed wrong for him to express. Not to say that he was incapable of such a feeling, but that it simply pulled away from his normally relaxed and suave nature.
As they wandered the football field, he noticed the growing figures of both Jae and some other kid who seemed like he'd been socked nastily in the eye. But then again, the blood on that same guy's fists seemed to more than make up for his injury. Soon the two duo's passed each other, and Jesse couldn't help but blush as Jaewha began to spout high nonsense at him about going on stage. He still felt a tad stung from the boys rejection of sorts, but even more so he felt wrong for mistakenly forcing himself upon someone he'd just met. He gave the kid a nod, and turned his attention back to Maisie as they moved on.
"Did you wanna go back and watch that mess? Or should we stay out here?" Jesse questioned with a ginger tone, as his accent rippled throughout his words like a wave. Personally, he had no qualms about skipping the show altogether. He'd came in an attempt to make friends and further engage with his peers, and in a way he'd done so. Nevertheless, he was out here for her. Whatever she felt comfortable doing, he'd abide by.
