Cat.Chrestomanci
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not a Bad Slime
Soon, there were packs of werewolves that had integrated into human society. As humanity progressed, so too did these hidden peoples. With every advancement that humans made, the supernatural members adapted to changing times. Although it did not follow the same trajectory, their cultures also changed and adapted over time to mirror or accommodate advancements. It was almost unheard of for isolated populations of supernatural beings to exist without any interactions with humanity.
However, this peace was not meant to last. The supernatural members of society were able to take advantage of humanity and how it had developed, but at the cost of their identities. They were forced into the shadows, hiding their true forms from the land they called their home. Of course, they were able to exist in their natural states when among those of similar attributes; however, they were still not able to be open with those humans that they might have become close with over the course of a lifetime. It was this resentment that had built over centuries that was finally to bring about change.
There were whispers rippling through the supernatural population of an uprising beginning, an uprising that would challenge the status quo. Why should humans be the ruling species when we are so much more powerful? It was this question that sparked the fire that would lead to a civil war. No one knew quite who had voiced it aloud, only that it was that question that started it all. It was several decades after the sentiment had originally risen to the surface before a following began. One individual came to take the helm and lead a revolution.
Of course, no all of the supernaturals thought that this was the correct path. They were satisfied with their lot in life. Others thought that a more gradual way of revealing themselves would be the appropriate measures to take; however, as with many other historical movements, it is those with the loudest voices who are able to take command. And so a hostile takeover plan was hatched. While there were voiced that advocated a peaceful revolution, they were easily drowned out by the angry rhetoric that was preached to the masses.
When finally the revolution began, there was much bloodshed. In response, there were those who came to the aid of the humans. While they did not wish to harm their brethren, they could not stand by and watch the slaughter.
